We thought the room was really great - excellent bed and shower, everything very clean. Enjoyed the free breakfast, as well as restaurant and bar. We did ask once for a box of tissues from the front desk and were told there was none - this would be a nice item to have on hand in case another traveler has a cold like we did. Otherwise it was an excellent stay.

We took Deluxe room and it was fully paid before we arrived. I was given a room on top of where big tourist buses parked. When I requested to change, staff said if I need a quiet room, should be booked in mountain, not in the city. The best room in the hotel given the worse location. People spoke standing right under my window till mid-night. Whole night I can hear the cars. Even it was very hot I had to keep the window close. No AC, window closes was terrible. Staff comments are very unprofessional.

Never faiks to disappointment

The bathroom and toilet was not cleaned. There was no fan, and the room was hot as hell. Had to contact reception to get the bath cleared, which took its time and we had to keave the room for almost an hour. Been to this hotel a couple of times and have been disappointing each time sadly.

The hotel is in a great place and the staff are wonderful. A bit tricky to find the entrance since the maps take you right past it. We did not have the best view from the 2nd floor but the rest was good. We would stay here again

The only useful part of this hotel is close to the bus stop. Access to the hotel was obscured by the directions to enter through the parking. Arriving at night was scary with no proper lighting or staff. The simple single room at $150 didnt have any ameneties or accessories, not even a fridge or a water boiler, no sleepers (at least!) Breakfast was fair and staff was ok. I will not stay again in this hotel.

They did the bare minimum to take an old and ugly property and make it look decent for pictures. Also they show case the breakfast area which is pretty to be sure but I don’t think the employees know what they are doing. None of the food was properly stored with catering dishes which keep hot foods hot cold food cold to avoid food poisoning. The food was brought out in the pots they were cooked in and small portions of the yogurt, meat and fruit were left out on small bowls or plates at room temperature. By the time we got there it had been sitting out for hours. For those that have never taken a food safety course, it’s not safe to eat at that point.

Very spartan room, lacking even basic amenities, such as Kleenex (or similar) tissues. Expensive for the bare bones nature of the room. Property layout is odd. Our room faced a part of the building with constant passersby, making for a lot of noise disruption until after midnight. On the positive side, the gym is very good. Paid onsite parking for approximately $25/night using the Easy Park app.

Sufficient, but not our favorite. 2-to-3 star.

We stayed here one night for the location. The staff was nice, but the room was hot and stuffy, paint was peeling in bathroom, etc. Beds were comfortable, though. Parking was available, at additional cost, paid on-line. Breakfast offered many choices.

It’s very close to the river and bus station. This hotel is very modern and has two different restaurants next to it. After a long day of hiking we were able to take quick showers and walk into any of the two restaurants without reservations. We decided to go to the Italian restaurant and sit outside. It was wonderful.

Oh what transformation.
If you like clean towels daily and you bed made, Don't come here.
On arrival receptionist was poor about information, not giving breakfast times and where to sit in addition to their new cleaning policy. Room in need of upgrade, ceiling lamps need replacement, bear live wires in new led light fitting, fridge thermostat broken.
Need to come back for Norway Day, but it will be another Hotel that doesn't have \"Quality\" in its name.

This was a terrible experience. Online it looks like an updated and comfortable hotel by the water, which is true if they put you in the newer section. We got an old room with cheap furniture and a horrible bed. At night the place turned into a house party. People next to us were partying, people in the parking lot were partying, and people in the house next-door were partying. (There's a campus nearby) The noise went on for hours making sleep impossible. In the morning there was a bottle of vodka behind the tire of our rental car, broken glass in the parking lot, and red solo cups thrown everywhere. Thankfully our car was ok. I would not recommend this place to others and I feel that we wasted our money.

Ultramodern hotel. We had a comfortable room with a view to the fjord. It took a while to work out all the electronic controls for lights, blinds etc. The food was excellent both breakfast and evening meal. Good location for the waterfront and local area. Lots of parking space.

The rooms are in need of maintenance. Our first room had a broken luggage rack. We were switched to another room with a working luggage rack, but one of the light switches kept falling off the wall. We were in the older part of the hotel; the newer part seems updated, but rooms are reported to be much smaller.

We got the rooms that seemed to be in a newer wing or renovated wing. If you get those rooms then you won’t go wrong. Clean and new. Pretty high tech too. Rooms had some electronic control to vary the lightings.

It was just a stop over town but Sogndal looked pretty decent. Location of the hotel I would say was good, free parking but not many slots so depends on your luck I guess.

Once again after booking with Expedia we got the worst room...we are sure. It was hot and there was a small floor model fan in the room so that helped. When opening the window all we got was fumes from the restaurant next to the hotel. The door to our room opened to a small lounge area that many people used for their gatherings which was very noisy. You could not get dressed in the wash room as it was to small to be able to move. The shower, although old was good. No amenities in the bathroom and the toilet paper was close to sand paper. Our room overlooked the roof of the restaurant.
Breakfast was good, lots of variety and fresh fruit and good coffee.
We have recently booked 30 different hotels and out of 13
The Quality Hotel Sogndal was a disappointment.
We have used other booking companies and have not endured poor rooms like this.

We had a short stopover at Sogndal during our road trip in Norway. It is a nice and modern hotel. A new wing is being added to the hotel, so there is some construction around. We stayed at the hotel during the weekend, but I would expect some noise from the construction during the week. The breakfast was very good, we also had a very nice dinner at the hotel.

Vi koste oss masse på tur og oppholdet var supert. Synd det ikke var minibar på rommet og tilgang til mikrobølgeovn da vi hadde med oss en liten en på syv mnd og trengte òg sterilisere flasker. Vi hadde med oss poser vi kunne sterilisere i mikro. Så vi måtte dra bort på senteret og låne mikroen på stellerommet😅 men det gikk. Men hadde trodd et sånt stort hotel hadde en mikro stående en eller annen plass. Ellers var vi veldig fornøyd og frokosten var kjempe god og mye utvalg. Uansett om baby er så liten og ikke spiser noe mat fra hotellet måtte vi betale for frokost til alle sammen.

Fikk et eldre rom i 1 etg. Vinduene vendte rett ut en slags bakgård hvor det var en-to meter til et stort bygg (med en dør). Om kvelden var det en som røykte en meter fra vinduet mitt (røykelukt inn på rommet). Jeg orket ikke gjøre noe med det da jeg hadde lagt meg.

Bra fasiliteter, men liten komfort

Hotellet er sentralt og har gode fasiliteter, men jeg var uheldig og fikk et rom i den eldre delen. Der var det null ventilasjon. Det var bedre luft i gangen. Det var direkte ubehagelig, med tett og varm luft. Vinduet stod oppe når jeg kom, men det hjalp ikke stort. I tillegg var det støy utenfor vinduet, så når jeg skulle legge meg så måtte jeg lukke det. Våknet tidlig, for det var ekstremt lytt. Hørte alt naboen og de over foretok seg. Rett og slett et dårlig opphold i forhold til romprisen.

Fint hotell med fin lobby, flott frokostområde + restaurantene på utsiden i tilknytning til hotellet.
Treningsrommet hadde veldig bra med utstyr, men fraværende ventilasjon. Tett og varm luft.
Hotellrommet var fint, men noe dårlig belysning og dårlig ventilasjon da vi hadde rom i den eldste delen av hotellet. Meget lytt.
Ellers et topp opphold og meget sentral beliggenhet :-)

Enkelt, gammeldags bad.

Badet var gammeldags. Man måtte stå i badekaret og dusje. Det var ingen sklimatte til å legge i bunnen av karet, og ingen påmonterte håndtak til å holde seg i over badekaret. Det var heller ikke gulvmatte til å trå på når man hadde dusjet ferdig. Så dette var ikke bad for de som hadde litt utfordringer med kroppen. Og det var ingen papirdispenser til å bruke på badet, kun toalettpapir.
Og vi savnet info på rommet, enten skriftlig eller på TVen.
Og selvsagt airkondition.! Det var ubehagelig varmt , selv om vi fikk rom m balkong.
