It took nearly an hour to check in due to poor admin and what I think was an IT issue, but we where ushered to wait with no explanation or apology. When we finally got to our room we found a pair of the previous occupants
underpants behind bathroom door, indicating lack of cleaning. On closer inspection the bathroom was filthy and in desperate need of refurbishment, with poor maintenance, decrepid cabinets, worn out enamel in sink and bath making cleaning impossible. In fact the bath enamel repair paint was flaking off.

The room itself was noisy from the elevator and rumbling air con, as well as other guests especially children running up and down corridor late at night.

Although the hotel was staffed by well intentioned young people especially in reception and resturants areas they were poorly trained without any obvious supervision. They were slow to respond and unable to take any initiative, hapless to resolve any problems and not at all customer focused or attentive.

The food quality poor and expensive for what was on offer, and a breakfast we found silverfish insects running across the counter by the fruit.

If you are looking for 5 star haven to escape the chaos, wonders and delights of Varanasi don't stay here, it's truly awful!

Room 3124 was tired and requires a major maintenance. Fridge, TV, plugs on wall was not working. Took two attempts to fix. Other rooms maybe better but we will never know. Overall, it’s an overpriced hotel claiming to be a 5 star hotel without the 5 star experience. Found a pice of metal wire in my breakfast but no one seemed to take this matter seriously!! Wifi in room was touch and go but worked well in the reception floor.

false advertisement from this hotel about being a five star or even a four star facility. I checked in with my two elderly parents 88 years old, who noticed that every time the flush was used there was water digging from behind the toilet. At 2 AM I rushed to my mother, was about to slip on the floor due to water accumulating on the floor. I mopped the floor personally and initiated a request for repair with the front desk. A gentleman showed up at 3 AM and said he’s taken care of it . Water accumulated by 5 AM. After repeat calls to the management we were given a new room by 11 AM next morning when we walked into the new room be found the shower faucet laying on the floor. The facilities are terrible. And the management even more so.

Other than mumbling, I am sorry the management had nothing to offer or say. This hotel does not deserve to charge the amount of money that they are and get away with this poor quality service.
The management kept lying and hiding behind each other as to who the real accountable person is.

The overall room quality felt below expectations. For example, the doors don’t close smoothly and make a loud noise, and the bathrooms were not as clean as I would normally expect.

The food quality was also disappointing and noticeably below the standards of comparable hotels such as Marriott or Hyatt.

Simply a horrible hotel. Started off with the Ramada driver pushing me to get out of my car so he could go by. Oh yeah, I did complain about him to the MOD. Unable to get any WiFi in the room - the IT Tech gave me a local WiFi to connect whilst inside the room. The room was very cold - got a filthy \"blower\" which is a portable heater. Of course it just blowed out all the dirt that was intact. The front office lady had no clue how to help. The room had a sign/poster of free welcome fruits only to find out it's not valid. Excuse me - so why is it in the room? Just a complete nuisance place. Oh yeah, and there is construction happening as well. Stay away.

This property was under renovation at lacked atmosphere. Rooms despite the upgrade were unfinished. Staff limited and the worse service we experienced throughout our time in India .
It was overpriced for the experience however when highlighting issues the management were not interested. Intermittent hot water in the shower either scolding or cold.
Despite being fairly empty unable to serve 4 meals at the same time. One person finished before the 4th person received their food , this happened twice.
Generally disappointing. Not value for money compared with other stays.

I was amazed to see that there was no valet service. Then the bell bous don't want to pick luggage. Once when we ordered something from the bar it took 3 reminders and 55min for it to reach us. The reason qouted was that there was internal breifing going on and they thought it was more important that guest service. No hot water beyond working hours. No coffee machine even in there top tariff suite. The breakfast was subpar. And the staff was really rude. Overall did not feel like a 5 star or a suite experience. Have stayed in Taj many times and regretted not staying there again.

I was put up in the newly refurbished room, had iron board but no iron. When they provided iron it sparked and trip the circuit breaker if my room. It took them half an hour at 1130pm to sort out. Again it tripped at 4am. I stayed I. The room for 4 hours with two beaker trip. Seems they have pushed the new room without proper check. Disappointing experience.

Excellent price for the package - if you’re doing a couple of days in Varanasi for sight-seeing, then the included breakfast, high tea and 2 pieces of laundry are very helpful.

Frustratingly, the hotel has a “no outside food” policy, but the dining options are pretty reasonable, so it’s not too bad.

You’re quite far from any of the tourist spots, so you’ll need to get autos/ taxis from the hotel every time.

The overall standard of the hotel is high - much higher than I was expecting for the price.

First time trying Ramada and me and my kids enjoyed the stay. Will stay again if we come to kasi.

WiFi was poor inside the rooms and hence my daughter had to go to the lobby to work on demand.
Better WiFi connections will benefit those who needs to work as part of these personal trips. Loved the shower head even-though the tub was too old.

It is also a very old property it seems and so the washrooms felt like old and repaired.

Lastly they have some construction still going on so that adds a bit of not so good flavour to the property.

My biggest regret staying at this hotel was not listening to other guests poor reviews of this hotel and not choosing another hotel for our 5 night stay in Varanasi. The only positives for our stay was the dining was above average regarding the breakfast buffet. The front desk staff has no interest in customer satisfaction. We had a 3 week stay in India and all other five hotels we stayed at were excellent. We had to contact the front desk multiple times to receive hot water in the room. We also had to get our room key reactivated several times to get into our room. The front desk staff was never apologetic for these inconveniences and in fact, acted as if I was a nuisance to them for contacting them. The last and most egregious act by the front desk staff was actually after we had already checked out. We were waiting for our transport to go to our next destination and the front desk staff person asked my wife to come to the desk and informed her that we would be charged an extra fee for extra dirty towels that they would not be able to launder. We had a coffee spill in the room during out stay and we cleaned the spill ourselves with 2 small hand towels. The front desk manager told us that it was our fault for cleaning the spill ourselves and should have contacted the housekeeping staff. We were charged an extra 700 rupees for the cost of these towels. Clearly , the hotel's priorities are to capture every cost they can from the customer rather than customer satisfaction.

I was extremely unhappy with my stay. The room was clean and new enough, albeit with no frills (on par with a two star property in America). The cleaning staff and door staff were fantastic, and the food at the restaurant was very good. I had no hot water for the entirety of my stay. The front desk staff were rude, entirely unapologetic, and unhelpful. I was having trouble with Ubers canceling and asked the front desk to assist in booking a taxi for me. The guy was rude and refused to call a taxi service for me, saying that he could give me their phone number. Which obviously wasn’t helpful, as I was having difficulty managing the language barrier with other drivers. The service staff at breakfast were also rude and insolent and showed no competence in helping me navigate the menu around my food allergy. One of the chefs was very helpful at breakfast, and the rest of the staff were actively rude. This property has obviously ignored ongoing issues with hot water, so I was shocked that I had no hot water for my entire stay. There was no explanation and no apology. This hotel cost significantly more than others in Varanasi, and was not worth half of what I paid. It did not come close to five stars in any way. I spoke with a manager on my way out, and he was also unapologetic and made some empty excuses for their rude and poorly trained staff. This hotel provided little in the way of comfort and nothing in the way of service. I couldn’t even shower. Brutal. Avoid at all costs.

Stayed there for 4 days and the AC didn’t work for 2 days and 1 day there was no hot water available in the bathroom.
Nobody took the ownership and everyone was just clueless.
Forget 5 star, even the basic hotel will have such basic facilities which Ramada JHV failed to provide. We can understand that sometimes systems fail, but how you own it up and communicate clearly with the customer that matters.

The hotel is really good with great amenities. The travel desk were really helpful in meeting all our travel within Varanasi.
The grumble I have is with check in where we had to repeatedly ask for the 3rd bed and towels and more than one door key all of which had been prebooked and paid for
The restaurants are very good but the waiting staff seem reluctant to serve us and ordering seemed to take for ever , additional drinks orders or food required us to track down the waiting staff to place the order

I stayed at this property starting May 9th to May 12th. The trip started off well and then turned into a nightmare on May 11th. The Hotel AC was out for the majority of the day in the blistering heat and the hotel staff were unresponsive to the situation. Despite several attempts to reach upper management to request a refund for one night's stay, no communication has been received from the hotel. There are better alternatives around in the cantonment area. I booked this hotel based on the suggestion of a family relative and I should have looked for alternatives.

Hotel lovely and clean Room big but a little dated - old shower curtain & cracked bath. We dined in ‘Tadka’ their ‘specialist Indian restaurant’ and had a disastrous meal. We ordered lamb Vindaloo and after 20 minutes were instead served lamb with a creamy coconut sauce. I questioned this, and the chef told the waiter that he’d instead given us a mild vindaloo because we were western and would prefer it. I didn’t believe this explanation and I suspect they were perhaps just using up leftovers because this wasn’t a ‘mild vindaloo’ but instead a completely different curry (cream/coconut base). Perhaps they thought we might not know the difference. The waiting staff were apologetic and agreed that this wasn’t what we’d ordered and said they’d bring us a replacement instead. We had to wait another 20 minutes and when it arrived, it was closer resembling a vindaloo but this time there was hardly any meat and mainly just bones. (I didn’t even have one piece of meat!) Very disappointing! I’m not one for complaining normally (don’t like the confrontation and awkwardness) but this was far from what you’d expect in a 5* hotel restaurant. The restaurant manager was understanding - we could actually see them berating the chefs (a drawback of the kitchen window) making it a bit uncomfortable for everyone.
They gave us complimentary desserts so I suppose the service was good.
Aside from the restaurant the rest of our stay was very comfortable. Pool large & clean, service there excellent

The property was very good in cleanliness and location. However they had construction on the 2nd floor throughout the day with loud banging which they did not inform us on arrival. They also were banging late at night around 11,30 PM on November 17th and we had to call repeatedly to stop it. They were supposed to stop at 6.00 PM during the day and did not on November 19th. Again on November 19th night they had this plastering going on all night and music being played and we had to call repeatedly to stop it. We could not sleep. They lied that it was the UPS in the closet that made the noise. The room rent was quite high and for that we had to suffer the construction noise. The reception desk should have a record of out calls from room 4101. We expect better service and treatment from a hotel of Wyndham chain.

Great hotel, it lacks character and is not a luxury hotel but it has all the things you would need and is well located out of the hectic city centre yet within easy reach of it.
We loved the pool area and the breakfast was nice.
Would recommend for anyone visiting Varanasi, I think having the pool really makes it!

Front desk staff was very rude and reckless. We booked for 3 beds but they didnot even care to provide 3rd bed. Some repair work was going on in the hotel and they provided the room just adjacent to that. It was so noisy and disturbing till evening 6pm. We travelled from USA, long hours flight, jetlag and this is the hospitality we got. We have stayed a lot in Wyndham hotels in USA but never experienced this. We should have gone with the reviews- many wrote about front desk rude behavior and carelessness. Sorry to say that the Wyndham is lossing the good name because of these.

One of the worst F&B service I ever came across in any of the similar category hotel .. restaurant staff was totally confused .. could be because of any of the following..
> they were new or not properly trained.
> coordination issue with kitchen / bar .

The staff was very nice, and the place was very clean. However, due to the age of the hotel, there were some problems with the hotel, which we wished had been better.
There are sounds of water running in the pipes in the rooms, and there was an issue with hot water, where we had to keep the water running full flow for 10 mins before we got any hot water. TV remotes had dead batteries, and making any requests to housekeeping took a long time and repeated calls.
However, we did get medicines delivered to us, and the food was excellent.
Renovations and modernization of the rooms are definitely needed.

An ordinary hotel with exorbitant prices

We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. We were given a room with dirty carpet, cracked chair and a very small bathroom. The bathroom basin drains long after you finish brushing and hot water comes literally after five minutes of waiting.
On the next day, we were offered a better room with all working amenities.
The menu in the breakfast was very ordinary and the same for the two days we stayed.
The decor in the hotel lobby was very good and the behaviour of everyone was very nice.

Bath tub was wobbly and broken, toilet flush button hanging, not enough towels, cabinetry in bathroom is old and unkempt. Too little toilet paper. Not enough towels. Breakfast and dinner are good.

Horrible property. We booked a king bedroom and we were provided with two twin beds. AC was not working and there was smell of smoke in room. Room service never respond and the staff is not helpful. Very patheric experience.

Varanasi experience

The place is nice although a bit dated. The service was excellent. The Kashi food in the breakfast was awesome. Much better than other popular eating places in the city. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. Overall, loved the experience.
