At checkin, system was down and we did not get the room we paid for. This was corrected by Frontdesk later that evening.
Hotel has huge windows with amazing views but in June (summer) the hotel becomes a furnace. The room and public areas were just too hot for our comfort. There are no airconditioned rooms or areas in the hotel and we could not excape the heat other than go back in our car and drive around.
Our misfortune was that our checkin was December 24 and most services (F&B, Spa) were just not available.
Breakfast (xmas morning!) was nothing particular. Just plain continental without any xmas atmosphere.
Maintenance is needed as many areas show damaged woodwork and painting opportunities.
All in all not the experience we expected. This hotel is probably a better choice in winter time.

The room very small with 2 extra small beds, no courtains on the window. The room was not clean with “hair”everywhere. The staff did not help at all. This is not a 4 star hotel, only a 2 star hotel. Unfortunately nothing good to say about this hotel. Will never stay at this Hotel again !!!

La habitacion extremadamente pequeña con 2 camas muy chicas duras y malas. No habia cortina black out en la ventana, en la mañana entraba toda la luz. La habitacion sucia llena de pelos por todos lados. El personal muy poco amable, no ayudaron en nada.
Dice ser un hotel 4 estrellas, pero 2 estrellas es realmente lo que es. Lamentablemente nada bueno que decir de este hotel, no volveré a quedarme ahi, ni lo recomiendo

We liked everything. The rooms, the common places, all face the lake through huge windows. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Great facilities, although we didn't use them since we spent all our free time seating in the incredible lobbies they had. We even extended our stay by 3 days, cutting short our stay at San Martin de los Andes

Gorgeous hotel with spectacular views

We loved our stay at Sol Arrayan. The hotel is gorgeous and its views truly spectacular. The hotel isn’t too big so it feels warm and personal. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Although small, our room was comfortable and had a fabulous view. It did have one issue which I raised with the hotel and hope that will be taken intoned account: the bathroom has a shower curtain instead of a glass screen. I found this not only uncomfortable but also not very hygienic.

The restaurant can also improve as a few of the meals were pretty bad, but the hotel’s pastries served at breakfast, including butter croissants, are absolutely delicious and so are some of their snacks.

We definitely recommend Sol Arrayan if you are looking for a gorgeous and peaceful hotel in Villa La Angostura. Despite the issues mentioned above, whichI hope the hotel will consider, we will certainly return!

Right on the lake, close to downtown and the pool!

Such a great place, a spa with the heated pool over looking the lake and mountains. Is has aged a bit and hopefully they are working a few of the things. They did seem Jonny on the spot for everything we needed. The maid thought our room cooler and had the maintenance man there in minutes just to find we like it cool and turned the heat down.

On that note, it is very warn inside everywhere. It was very nice since it was cold and raining when we arrived. We even spent the first night outside in the pool in that rain. Did I say how much we liked the pool? The heat did make the lack of ventilation in our bathroom a problem. I really don't know how they could fix that. In the bathrooms you could hear every sound from the other rooms and it was a bit embarrassing.

Even with these short comings we are already planning to go back. Great location to be in such a great place.

We stayed about 4 nights and had a great time. The food (breakfast and dinner) were great. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. The views are incredibly beautiful of the lake and the Andes mountains. If you love sunset views, you will love the rooms with lake views.

OK, but not worth the money inn Villa Angostura

I booked this hotel because it looked so fabulous on the web site and paid up for the balcony room. The view and balcony were very nice but the room itself was teeny and not at all what I would expect for this kind of money in Argentina. In addition, the receptionish didn't speak any English, so we could not really ask for local advice. I don't expect this of a small hotel, b&b or other hotel of moderate pricing, but at the prices we were payng, seems like they should have been able to provide a bit better service. Lastly, our room was sweltering. It was blistery outside but no matter what we did, as soon as we closed the windows it became like a sauna. All in all, not our best experience for the money. Hotel itself was nice, if seeming to ned a bit of love and breakfast was fine.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sol Arrayan and only wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel was a bit pricey by our standards--it was the most expensive place we stayed during our trip to Argentina--but we thought that it lived up to the price tag. Beautiful views from the nice rooms, restaurant, and lovely swimming pool & spa area. And the service was top-notch. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

Nice hotels with great views of lakes and surrounding mountains from every room, community space and pool.
Very nice staff who try and please.
Bring your Spanish as their English is not strong.
Think of this more as a lodge than a resort - for instance spa treatments are weak.
Food was good, but going into town is a better option.
Rooms are functional, but a bit tight, especially for storage space for clothes.
GREAT activities nearby for horseback riding, white water rafting and hiking- but again, you need to arrange much of it yourself as this isn't the hotel's strong suit.

Worth it for the View Alone

The hotel has a beautiful view overlooking the lake. The indoor/outdoor pool is the perfect place to soak up some sun and relax. The rooms are nice with large picture windows and a surprising amount of privacy on the decks. The hotel is starting to show some wear in places, but was very clean. The included breakfast was excellent. There are several good restaurants within a 10 to 20 minute walk.

The hotel couldn't be in a more beautiful location - on the side of a mountain with all the rooms overlooking the lake. Even without a \"patio\" room, we still had a small deck and we could leave the door to the deck open at night to enjoy the cool summer breezes and listen to the waves and birds. And the girls at the front desk couldn't have been more helpful. In addition to helping arrange tours and suggesting sites to see, they also helped us get ahold of our bank in the US after our debit card was taken by an ATM in town.

We booked the Sol Arrayan at the last minute while we were in Argentina. The hotel is located right on the lake about a 5minute drive from downtown Angostura. Our room was on the lowest level with a deck overlooking the lake. The view was magnificent. The room was clean and very modern. Every room at the hotel overlooks the lake whether you upgrade for a deck or not. We had a massage every day in the hotel spa. Highly recommend the spa. We would go back to this hotel for sure.

Hotel sin mantenimiento, desabastecido, mal organizado, lo cierran de noche impidiendo ocupar sus terrazas, incluso las vías de escape de emergencia las cierran, no hay cable, sus saunas no funcionan, no hay reposeras en la piscina suficientes para la cantidad de pasajeros, no había ni limones ni coca cola light, su personal salvo los chicos del bar tenian mal trato, los vidrios sucios y el balcón de mi hbtc era para una persona y de pie porque ni una silla cabía. Pieza ultra pequeña.
Lo único bueno , las vistas y su masajista Graciela.
Por lo demás NO lo recomendaría...

Tuvimos una habitacion con vistas al lago espectaculares. Como en casi todos los hoteles de argentina, la ducha tenia poca presion de agua. El desayuno un poco pobre, cafe de maquina feo. La atencion del personal muy buena. El entorno es muy bonito pero la villa no tiene mucho atractivo y queda lejos, hay que ir a todos lados en coche.

Gostei muito desse hotel. Tem acesso direto ao lago, piscina interna e externa aquecidas, estacionamento privativo e ótimo café da manhã. A arquitetura e a decoracao sao fenomenais. Os quartos são bem confortáveis e com vista para o lago. Para melhorar, poderiam dispor de chaleira no quarto, para permitir a preparação de chá ou café, além de informativos sobre as atrações da região. Fica a uns 3 km do centro. É importante estar de carro, senão dependerá de táxi.

A vista de todo hotel é voltada para o lago e montanhas nevadas, maravilhosa. O quarto um pouco pequeno, mas com toda parede de fundo , de vidro que sem dúvida da um charme especial a hospedagem . Café da manhã bom, com poucas frutas frescas( o que é comum na Argentina). Pecinha aquecida q vai até a área externa . Muito boa estadia, recomendo muito. As fotos são minhas ,tiradas do quarto. É afastado, vale um carro alugado.

O melhor hotel em 13 dias na Argentina.

Hotel fantástico, tem uma localização muito privilegiada sobre o lago.
O pequeno SPA é muito adequado, possui piscina in/out aquecida, sauna e um mini solário. O pequeno-almoço foi muito bom, talvez o melhor que tivemos na Argentina, o serviço também correspondeu às expectativas e o preço do restaurante (à carta) era adequado.

Impecable hotel con gran vista!

Disfrutamos mucho nuestra estadía! Las instalaciones y el personal 10 puntos. Lo único que nos hubiera gustado tener es un ventilador en la habitación porque a veces estaba demasiado caluroso, pero el resto impecable!
