We had delicious meals in the Stylo hotel restaurant and the breakfast buffet was extensive and very nice. Also within a short walking distance of the bus terminal. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again when in David.

Very nice hotel in David. The staff was amazing,the room was spotless. They have a coffee drink bar in the lobby that serves great Lattes. An inhouse restaurant that's open for all 3 meals of the day. Check in and out was fast and courteous. The gym was clean and provided enough for my workout routine and the spa worked well.The shuttle to the airport was on time and very courteous. Highly recommend the hotel if you are in David Panama.

My King room had everything I could want - quiet, spacious, clean, nice view, comfy bed. The staff was so professional and friendly, especially in the restaurant. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, although I wish there were more non-pork meat options. The free airport shuttle was a huge plus. For me, this is THE place to stay in David.

This is our 3rd time, it gets better every time. We have decided that this will be our David go to hotel. Staff was very pleasant. Breakfast was wonderful, a variety to chose from. Overall, a great one.

Our first room was full of mold and it smelled terrible. When they upgraded us it got better but the property seems to have significant water damage on many places as even the hallways had dripping water from the ceiling. There was construction on the hallways as well which made the place looked unfinished and as if still in construction. I will not stay here again.

I'm writing this review on behalf of my husband, who stayed at this hotel during his business trip. He arrived on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025, after missing one night due to a flight delay. Fortunately, the hotel allowed him to check in early around 11:00 AM. Upon entering his room, he was pleased with how clean and comfortable it was—he was really looking forward to catching up on some much-needed rest.
Unfortunately, that didn’t last long. Around 2:00 PM, he was abruptly disturbed by loud hammering and drilling. He contacted the front desk and was told they were sorry for the inconvenience. Later that evening, after returning from business around 10:30 PM, he hoped to finally get some rest. But again, by 6:30 AM the next morning, he was woken up by more construction noise.
He went to the front desk to express his frustration and was informed that renovations were taking place in the room directly above his. They did move him to another room afterward, but by that point, the damage had been done. This experience was far from relaxing or professional.
Considering this is the most expensive hotel in David, Chiriquí, it's unacceptable that guests are not warned in advance about disruptive renovations. A simple apology doesn’t make up for lost rest or a disrupted stay. Once they have your money, it really does feel like customer comfort becomes an afterthought.

My stay at Hotel Ciudad De David was perfect. The service was excellent--all the staff were knowledgeable, helpful, professional, courteous, and friendly. To possess and use all of those qualities simultaneously is a great accomplishment, and everyone managed to do so. The meals in the restaurant were delicious and very-well served. The lobby, dining room, room, hallways, and elevators were spotless, and the ambiance of the whole hotel was serene and appealing. Hotel Ciudad de David is a wonderful place to stay.

The hotel booked a quincinera directly below the guest rooms. There was a dj screaming and booming music that had the walls shaking from before 8pm until after 2pm. It took over an hour to get our kids to sleep. When the craziness was continuing after 10pm we complained in person at reception and solicited help. Four times the employees said they asked the party to be quieter and four times it got louder. The employees refused to take any actual action to remedy the situation. They couldn't even find ear plugs. Their only offer was to move us to another room (where the music was still booming, but we would have had to wake the kids to move them). Insanely frustrating to go a night without sleep. We are requesting a refund. Worst customer service I've ever seen. There is a reason hotels are not usually located directly above night clubs.

The hotel was OK. The last night was HORRIBLE! I do NOT recommend this hotel. I never give reviews - but felt a need to give this hotel a review. It was that bad. They had a party in the pool lounge area. My room overlooked the pool. The website clearly STATES that it closes at 10:30 pm. At 11:15 pm there was a party still going on that was so loud my windows two floors up were shaking. I called the front desk and they assured me the party would close at midnight. AT 12:15 AM I started calling the front desk as I had an early flight and had not had any sleep. They did not / would not answer the call at the front until almost 1 AM. They said the party would go on until 2 AM or later and all they could do was offer me a room on a different floor to sleep. If they had told me this at 11:15 PM it would have been better. But to not answer the phone for almost 1 hour and to book a party in the area of the hotel that HALF of the rooms have direct connection to was horrible - and the website clearly states the closing time for the lounge, yet they had a private party. They did not offer to help me move all my bags from one room to the next. So at 2 AM I was finally in another room with a 5 AM wake up. BEWARE! This hotel did not care AT ALL that they did this to their guests. DO NOT STAY HERE - unless you want to stay up all night with loud music that actually makes your windows shake.

Not only was there no VIP benefit, we must have had the worst room in the hotel - directly above the drilling work they were doing on the 3 rd floor , near the pool. It started at 8 in the morning - incredibly loud and continuous, as it was literally just below our window. The day before they continued until 5.30 pm (we arrived at 5pm).
Virtually any other room would have been far enough from the noise. Had we been staying another night, we would of course have requested a room change. Disappointing, as the hotel itself is a bit of an oasis - with nice facilities - and a good restaurant.

I don't think I would choose to stay anywhere else
It was so wonderful. The staff were professional and helpful. The room was large and comfortable. The food was absolutely excellent. There was live music in the lobby. A bar in the lobby. Very conveniently located I was able to walk to shopping, resturants, night clubs, bus station and business center. Bus stop is right there. Plenty of taxis.

Perfect for an overnight in David
This was the perfect place for an overnight in David. Staff were warm and friendly, easy check-in, great buffet breakfast, on-site parking garage and a pool and gym. My one complaint is that the bicycle in the gym has only 1 pedal and the sauna was not turned on. But everything else was perfect. Take note that if you arrive by car, the streets arriving to the hotel are very congested.

Hotel David is my favorite hotel in David. Whenever I am in the area, that is where I stay. I like the location, cleanliness food and staff

I don't think I will ever stay anywhere else when I visit David. My expectations, in all areas, were exceeded. I can't imagine that any hotel in Davis is better.
