Room was fine, no complaints. Clean, comfortable beds. Easy parking. Breakfast was ok, not great, but it’s included, so again, no complaints. It would have been nice if coffee was available before the breakfast area opened, as it opened a bit later than the advertised 6:30. Room was quiet, shower had good water pressure. Convenient & well-priced option for a one night stay before an early flight. Italian restaurant was decent for dinner.

The property is nice, but a little dated. Its very central and easy to get places from by Uber.

If youre looking to go to Boquete its about a 45 min Uber drive and can be a little slow finding an Uber on the way back.

The pool area and Gym are really nice. The room smelled of mold. There wad a spot light shining into the room all night so the curtains didn't keep out much light. We booked a suite because it advertised a separate room but it was just a regular room with a couch and a desk.

This Hotel is for the locals, the location is good, parking is limited, internet is good, shower area is very small, closet is small with just 3 hangers offered, there are mosquitoes. Hot water barely hot. Breakfast is really bad and limited; lunch don’t even talk about it. Best hotel in town is hotel Cuidad de David more modern and up to international standards

It was a beautiful historic hotel. The location was lovely, within walking distance of the park and a market. They had a beautiful pool that was quite freezing. I don't understand why a hotel would provide a beautiful pool, with water that is too cold to go into. My room was comfortable however the hotel was not full and the view from my window was looking out at a concrete wall. No view

The hotel was old but had plenty of character. The air conditioner in our room did not work and the refrigerator smelled so bad we could not use it. The front desk was not receptive to any complaints and even ignored me totally when I approached them to state my concerns to them. The front desk people are terribly fude.

Our room was big and clean that had a large patio door that faced out to a nice pool. We had a nice sitting area with a wicker table and chairs outside facing the pool and lovely common area. Big washroom with a great shower. The restaurant served good food and the front desk had a young man on in the evening that spoke good English and gave good advice on things in the area.The only thing we would have liked was English channels available on the tv.

Pretty nice hotel. We only stayed one night. However we were here with a toddler and spend some time at the hotel. There is a lovely pool area with seating, a garden, playground and restaurant in the middle of the hotel. Check in was very smooth even though we were here early. Staff were helpful, even with us barely speaking Spanish. Room was comfortable and basic but worked for our needs.

We had to take an Uber out once. The location is good, close to the airport and the medical center we got our COVID tests done at.

Room had a bit of a smell and the ceilings look a little old and discoloured. Otherwise, very enjoyable stay.

This is a charming, traditional hotel conveniently located to the airport in David Panama. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was large, comfortable and had a nice screened in porch. I swam in the large, clean pool. My boyfriend and I had one of the best meals in Panama at the outdoor hotel restaurant , sharing a shrimp ceviche, grilled corvina fish, and assorted vegetables. So glad we shared dishes because they were very generous. Also we had beer and wine. There was a complimentary breakfast that started at 6:30AM that we enjoyed. Airport shuttle was both free and on time.

A Tired Place

We checked in about 4 pm to a delightful receptionist who offered us free welcome drinks, and complimentary breakfast coupons. We were then shown to our room by a porter. Beautiful carved room doors! We found no hand towels in the bathroom, and missing a bath towel. A suspended ceiling tile was missing in bathroom. About 30 minutes into our stay, someone \"accidently\" opens our locked door and then apologizes. The ice machine is broken and unplugged. The adjacent hallway is blocked off by a mirror. The restaurant staff was dispassionate and rude. The food was OK, but nowhere near what we've experienced in other Panamanian restaurants. The drink tickets were useless, as the bar wouldn't accept them for non-alcoholic options. Overall the building looks very tired (very delayed maintenance) and the staff appear equally tired (very unhappy) [except the receptionist]. Too bad such a beautiful place can be so neglected and rundown due to poor management.

We enjoy staying at this hotel because of the amenities. We also tried out acupuncture at a spa nearby and found great jewelry at a department store around the corner. It is a great value! But the large desk chair in the small room needs to be removed.

Most of the staff was very nice and friendly. However our rooms air conditioner was not cooling off the room. We asked for a new room and were moved. This room was the same, not very cool at all. When we called the front desk we were hung up on. When we went to the desk the manager was very rude and disrespectful. He refused to give us his name and said he was going to call the police on us. I asked him why and he said we would not be happy anywhere. I said all we want is a cool room. I wont stay here again.

the guy on the lobby wasn’t kindness even helpful at our arrives. He made us wait a lot on the front desk until he finish to disgust some thing with his co worker.
The room given to us the TV wasn’t working, we waist more time un tile the maintenance guy tell us he will report and find another room . He was trying to help us and apologize.

June 1- June 4 not possible a refrigerator and I had to pay more money for a room for a refrigerator because as advertised $5 per day for the refrigerator is miss leading. 6 months later, the same BS excuse no refrigerator, but all the dormitories have a refrigerator on the floor or desk or in the furniture. I asked to rent a refrigerator on Saturday 11/30 and was denied, no. 3 times is a charm, not again with Gran Nacional. Other options in the future but not again about as
a refrigerator. Not again.

After the first dinner in the terrace, my friend notices a rat was just standing in top of the saucepot, I showed the picture to the front desk person and he acted surprised but nothing else, I also show the picture to the cooker and he just smiles, like woww, you got me. It took these people 4 days to fix a problem with my room hot water, so I was taking showers with cold water for the first 4 days they just give a different excuse each day and never even offered to change room.
