Amazing service. The spa is incredible - the staff is very professional and excellent massages! The breakfast is 10/10 - fresh juice bar, a spread of fresh food, relaxing environment and very considerate staff. The property is extremely zen and a great place to relax. Fantastic experience!

My parents and I spent time at this resort during our visit to Odisha. We loved everything about this property - all the way from their check-in till the time left on Sunday evening. The staff are always smiling and willing to help. They go above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The travel desk was extremely helpful too with accommodating our travel plans. All the restaurants offered amazing variety of food. Not having tasted Odiya food before, we loved every dish we tried. The restaurant staff offered suggestions based on our dietary needs. I highly recommend Kanika if you want to enjoy local flavors. We will come back here anytime.

Beautiful property with lovely details. Service was excellent, with exception of the concierge/ travel desk which was awkward and rather grim. Food was very good in all of the restaurants we tried on the property. I had an oil head/hair massage at the spa with hair wash which was quite nice. Very relaxing and quiet vibe everywhere,

High Expectations - Terrible Experience

The check-in staff was rude while informing that there would be extra charges for late check-out beyond 2pm. He could have conveyed the same in a far more polite manner. The Air Conditioning in the room wasn't working properly. Over phone, an extra bed was quoted at Rs. 1000/night, whereas in the bill we were charged Rs2000/-. In any case the extra bed was so uncomfortable that my 8 year old refused to sleep in it. Three of us slept in the king size bed, but due to the air conditioning and plenty of mosquitoes in the room, we could hardly sleep. There was no action taken about air conditioning even after calling them at 12:30 in the night. To compensate for our discomfort and lack of sleep we were offered a massive discount of Rs 335/-!! Overall extremely bad experience.

About staffs and room

I have requested to arrange the Airport drop service early morning but they totally forgot it! Room was clean but it's a little bit bark. I don't want to recommend to my friends to stay this hotel.

Resort in the heart of the city

Very nice property in the heart of Bhubaneshwar. About 25 minutes from the airport. Once you step inside, you will forget that you are in the middle of a busy city. The facilities are very nice, the dining options are great, you have Chinese, Indian, Oriya cuisine on offer. The bar is pretty good too. Went to the Baron & Baroness Bar, didn't have the chance to visit the other bar. They also have a discotheque somewhere in the hotel. The break fast at the Tea Pot is pretty good and have nice outdoor seating in the corridor. I was in the wing with the standard rooms, at the far end of the hotel, near the tennis courts. Long walk from the reception. The rooms are pretty big. The shower stall is a bit small, they are using Chinese, off the shelf shower stalls made for cabins on cruise liners. The bath soap, shower gel, shampoo, body lotion are of poor quality. Rather carry your own. Probably the higher category rooms are much better. Except for this, there is no other issue with the hotel. I would say this is the best place to stay in Bhubaneshwar.

Pleasant and relaxing

I wanted a nice place to stay where I could swim and use the fitness centre to help get over jet lag before meeting up with friends. Mayfair Lagoon far exceeded my expectations with a great and relaxing atmospher. If I needed to do some writing I would consider this as a place to come. The rooms are good sized and comfortable. Highly recommended.
