Photos of the rooms were not accurate for our room. The casino and convention center didn’t help the ambiance. I don’t know that rooms were interior facing on a noisy food hall. Worse was that our room badly needed attention and touch up. Hand prints were clearly visible on the opaque glass door to the water closet and shower. Floors needed mopped. The walls were scuffed and damaged.

The hotel was nice enough and in a great location, but room was the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in for a high end hotel. It was advertised as no view, which I assumed was a view of a parking lot or maybe another building. But beware no view means no window to the outside. I have never heard of such a thing. Plus the bed was against the wall so I had to climb over my husband to get in and out of bed, I felt like a child camping. It was claustrophobic ruined our stay. The shower leaked and we flooded the bathroom. I asked for a different room, but the hotel said they were sold out.

The hotel is really nice has very nice ambience. We were able to walk up and down along the river to the old town. The tram is running every five minutes so it’s very convenient. Really nice charming city breakfast was great. Not sure about the other dining options because we didn’t there.
Not sure about going to the casinos is a good idea because it just has rooms and rooms of slot machines of every kind kind of depressing only a few tables. So if you’ve been to Las Vegas, don’t bother to go to the casino.

Location is excellent, tram stop right out the front door, and Marketgasse shopping in an easy walk. The room is very comfortable with luxurious amenities, nespresso in room. We paid for the breakfast, which is costly, but the best breakfast we enjoyed anywhere on our trip! Bern is a lovely city many travelers miss.

Great room with wonderful amenities including a complimentary drink-stocked fridge. Big shower with powerful rainshower. First of all, I arrived at the room, it was extremely small, but the weirdest thing is that the window overlooked the interior of the hotel... so I had no views to the outside, which was EXTREMELY claustrophobic... I asked to change rooms, and I was charge around 30 euros for the upgrade on the category... which is crazy to me, but honestly it was something i had to do....

I was traveling with friends, and they had a baby, it was very hard for them to find a microwave to heat up their bottle at night...

Other than that, this is a very standard hotel, and honestly it doesnt reflect the famous swiss hospitality.

Stayed for 4 days with my family. Totally liked hote. Although parking is expensive, but hey this is swiss and everything is expensive. Breakfast was good. Only one request for hotel is to provide enough towels for number of people in room instead of calling. I was with my wife and kid but only 2 towels provided. Just a feedback for hotel provide according to room numbers . Otherwise i will recommend this to family members staying . Hotel is closeby to other attractions and is walking distance to center of bern

Reasonably priced hostel with the basics you'd need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was just okay, not amazing as some if the reviews would make you think - they had a decent selection of breads and cheeses, and some healthy options like yogurt, flax seeds, chia seeds, but no fresh sliced fruits and veg.

The main reason for rating this a bit lower is that I think the bedsheets/bedspreads in our room were infested with dust mites (there were no visible bugs). My husband and I woke up several times due to severe itchiness, we even developed some rashes that went away after an hour or so. We've never had this problem with any other place we stayed at in our Europe trip (and we stayed at 8 different hotels/hostels).

My family and I (including extended family) stayed here for a night and booked a few different rooms. The hotel is really comfortable and modern, has nice grounds, and is walkable to Bern. Parking was easy for us, too. The only huge negative to our trip was the front desk staff. The woman who checked me in was sweet, but other than that, all of the staff that I corresponded with at the front desk were snobby and acted very arrogant and put out. I'm not sure why, but it was unpleasant. As mentioned, the hotel itself was great.

AIR-CONDITIONING was non-existent. 78° at check in, left it running during dinner, back in room 10pm ish, still 78°. Front desk sent maintenance, fiddled with it, said it would take 15 min. Room at 76° when we went to sleep, 75° at 6am. Atrium room, so window did not open & no fan. Also, disco music playing until midnight.

We originally planned to stay one night but we ended up contacting reception in the morning to extend for a second night which they confirmed. Then at 3pm some guests entered our room whilst we were in there…. Very unprofessional that the hotel hadn’t updated our booking and their system to reflect our second night. In addition our room wasn’t cleaned nor were the towels changed.

The location of Hotel Allegro is perfect because the Tram 9 stops right in front, making it a convenient location if you arrive by train or public transportation to Bern. We stayed for one night after a long day of international travel and the staff was so accommodating. They even left a birthday cookie and card in our room because we had told them in a message prior to arriving that we were celebrating my birthday on this trip. We were starving and decided to go to the casino where there was still an open restaurant inside and since we were hotel guests we did not have to pat to go in the casino and we even got a free drink. The terrace on the fifth floor and entrance to the casino is great, it has a beautiful view of the city. The hotel reservation includes a free pass to use public transportation in Bern during your stay. Even though the breakfast is not included, we still decided to eat there before leaving in the morning because it was so convenient and the buffet was great with a lot of options for food and drinks. I would recommend this hotel in Bern.

This hotel is off the beaten path and not really in the city of Bern. It is close by bus which stops right in front of the hotel. We were stoked that the air conditioner actually worked. Really important on a hot day. The hotel itself was spacious and modern. But I did not expect it to be in a casino (at least it seemed that way).

This is a beautiful hotel with the closest access to the castle. I was much more than I expected. My room appeared brand new with a modern architectural design and had a small porch with a view of the smaller castle. The breakfast was excellent too. Highly recommended!

We were skeptical about the hotel because it includes a casino, and we don’t gamble. The building is unattractive when viewed from the old city.

Thank being said, we were pleasantly surprised by the comfort, restaurants, staff friendliness and ease of hopping on the tram to the old city.

We spent a night on our honeymoon at the Hotel Allegro. We requested a room with a view of city which from the third floor provided a wonderful vista of the rooftops of old Bern. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The staff were polite and extremely accommodating.

Decent facility at excellent location. With the complementary city transport card, Route 9 tram takes you anywhere in Bern or you can walk across the bridge in front of the hotel to arrive at the center of the old town.
