The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were there in November and it was very quiet (low season). Our room overlooked the pool and was quite nice. Easy to walk out to the beach and close to good snorkeling.

Adi Assri is a lovely property. We enjoyed our stay. The staff members are very kind, helpful and polite. The spot is beautiful and quiet. It seems likely that the pandemic was hard on many vendors in the area & that they are just now getting back up to speed. The place was only half-filled and some of the services (like spa) were not in full operation. Overall, a lovely place.

3 weeks in January.. felt like we had the whole place/beach/pool to ourselves! Really friendly large staff, room perfect. If you like swimming/snorkeling/diving, a great location and this hotel isn't as expensive as the 2 other's a short walk west on the beach- who have beach-side restaurants/bars.(this hotel does not) Nearby is an Organic Bali Menu restaurant too. Mosque nearby will wake you up at 5:45, but so what.. was a great stay!!!

Very Pleasant Stay... Highly Recommended!

We probably went using the low season so we almost had the whole resort to ourselves, especially on the weekdays... There are 3 pools to choose from which is fantastic and the diving service at the resort uses a decent proper, spacious speedboat too. So no long rides in the sea... They were very accommodating to have my pregnant wife and toddler to go snorkelling and did not charge for the kid doing it.

Food selection is good and the turn-down service daily is a great additional to have. They sprayed down the room to ensure no mossies at night and draw the mosquito net for you too! Towels were changed daily and the Guest Relations Officer make it a point for you to enjoy your stay and tried to give as much personalised service when possible.

Overall great place and a hidden gem in Bali, away from the craziness and crowds down south. Will go back again for sure...

This property has a lot of potential BUT maintenance and cleanliness is not part of the program. People were nice and offered an upgrade. But an upgrade to another dirty unit...I finally just pushed the bugs away with a hand towel and cleaned the chairs myself with a hand towel.
They did clean my room quite well once in my 5 days, when I showed them all the dead bugs on the walls and scum in the shower, the dirty floors etc. I showed the cleaning staff directly.
Maintenance... I was burnt quite badly by the tap water initially until I had that and the shower in just the right spot, the toilet leaked, the hose to the toilet leaked, a crazy bug was living in the drain of my sink (biting worm like creature)...but worst of all, I got trapped in the shower. The door handle stuck and with the design, I could not get out. I had to break the outside door handle, in order to free myself.
Disappointing.
Marketing did come to me half way through my stay to tell me let them know what I needed. Most likely to prevent me from writing this.
But they did nothing, offered nothing... I asked them to clean the floors again...but that never happened.
I also asked for some water for my car ride back to the city, and I was told to go buy some at the bar.

I think its better to stay somewhere cheaper that is clean or pay more and go to the higher end places.
I chose this for location too...thinking I could walk around the town, but you cannot easily.

GOOD: Beautiful property, friendly staff
BAD: it's 4.5 hours from Denpasar, at some points you question safety. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, the resort location was next to a mosque which sounded at 5am each morning via loudspeakers, and the air was dirty due to smoke and fire. I literally inhaled smoke the entire time.

What made it worst is I ordered a frozen drink and regretted it for the next 2-3 days as I got Bali Belly, if you don't know what this is look it up. By the way, there is only 1 doctor in proximity. I'm very healthy and never sick, this one frozen drink caused extreme nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, high fever, and no sleep. Imagine being extremely sick and in a bed that is uncomfortable.

Ordering the drink was my fault, but the bed comfort, the 5am loudspeakers, and the smoke in the air made it very difficult to enjoy. Sadly we were very anxious to leave due to our experience, we will not ever go back. To top things off, we had to cancel our future plans due to sickness. Very sad and disappointing.

Great for chilling at beach and pool

It is a pretty massive resort by Bali standards, but we were there when it was still quite quiet - which also means we got a great deal on the price. The gardens looked immaculate, the swimming pools were great and not overly chlorinated, and the lovely warm ocean is right there as well! We really enjoyed the eating food at the tables sat right on the beach so you have sand between your toes when you eat - however, we got a bit taken aback by the price of food and drink, as the taxes they charge a much higher than anywhere else. If you stroll down the street, there are a good amount of other places to eat and you are spoilt for choice of dive-shops! Also, the biorock project snorkelling site is conveniently just a 10-12min walk along the beach from Adi Assri.
The room itself was rather nice, great bed, useful cupboards and a safe, but minor things that could be improved are: 1) a more efficient aircon, it took half a day to cool the room enough for sleeping comfortably. 2) a thorough scrub down of the semi-outdoors bathroom where green stuff has sort of started growing on the wall - as you might naturally expect from anything outdoors in the Bali climate. That being said, it is still a nice experience to shower with a view to the sky 3) putting a mosquito coil in the bathroom as well as on the terrace. There are definitely mosquitoes in this area, and the hotel tries their best to combat them, but we found the garden-wide fumigation we witnessed one afternoon a bit excessive

Excellent wifi which was important to us for both work and leisure. Aircon functioned perfectly and was quiet. Breakfast generous. Room large and there was abundant hot water which came from an unusual bamboo shower head which I really liked. Property is beachfront and the pools sparkling clean. Pemeratan is a very relaxing place and the locals really super lovely. No one pressured us to buy anything at any time. There is a shop to the right out of the hotel and a 20 minute slow walk that sells wonderful wooden plates, bowls, serving utensils etc for very reasonable prices. Beautiful handicrafts. You can find all the activities and transport outside the hotel for half the price it is offered inside the hotel.

Great location, close to Biorock reef for snorkeling, shops, restaurants etc. Large, very nice and well-kept gardens. Three pools and plenty of areas to relax. On-site dive shop for trips to Menjangan Island. Friendly attentive staff.
Room: needs maintenance eg wooden floors coming loose present a discomfort and trip hazard. Outdoor bathroom areas need more detailed cleaning, eg tiles were quite dirty and unsightly. Wifi very slow (in rooms at least).
This is a very large property so a degree of walking is needed to get from one facility to another.

A fabulous beachfront resort!

A great stay at a really beautiful beachfront resort. We had a poolside room with a lovely view of the pool and the beach, located close to the breakfast restaurant.
There are three pools, with the main one by our villa containing a poolbar. We enjoyed some great cocktails and a delicious snack of chicken wings!
We dined in the restaurant on the beach and the food was excellent,the ambiance really lovely.
The location of this resort is perfect, a few minutes walk along the beach to the incredible snorkelling at the bio rock by Pondok Sari.

Wonderful stay, very big resort. Staff were lovely and accommodating and facilities were great. We had little privacy as our windows were facing the main path, natural light is significantly better than the harsh indoor lights it didn’t feel very warm or relaxing. We went on a snorkelling tour and visited two diving spots, we felt safe with the instructors and saw some beautiful reefs. Many resultants in the area which were great particularly La Casa Kita. Our driver Pudu, was great we stopped to see coffee plantation along the way, he was very knowledgeable about the area.

Old Bali with modern rooms....loved it!

Had a fantastic stay at Adi Assri. Location right on the beach is beautiful and so handy to Menjangan Island for snorkelling and diving.
The tranquility and peaceful of this area is so old Bali that we will continue to return to this area for many years. The room was spacious (ocean view) with lovely outdoor shower. Bed was very comfortable and no problem with mosquitos as long as you remember to keep the door shut.
Ate breakfast and other meals at the restaurant and all were good. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to see another part of Bali not inundated with tourists.

Immaculate grounds., staff very friendly and helpful. On nice black sand beach with beautiful mountain backdrop. Near several dive shops and restaurants. Complimentary use of bikes. Food good but not great. Read several complaints about the noise from the neighboring mosque, but to be honest was barely noticeable.

The hotel has great comfortable rooms, but request the new rooms with glass door. Otherwise it would be quite dark inside the bungalow. Also ask for a place near the beach. Great restaurants with beautiful view to watch the sunset.

The staff are always friendly and smiling. Rooms cleaned every day. The new rooms are tiled inside and a bit austere. Not enough shelves and hangers in closet. Lighting poor over bathroom mirror and at bedside. The older rooms are more comfortable with polished wooden floors and good storage. Restaurant is adequate. The chef is able to do special orders that are great but not on the menu. Eg a roasted piglet. We had some great scuba dives with the attached dive shop near the spa. Also enjoyed a free massage because of our longer stay.

Grest resort on the beach

We had a very nice stay at Adi Assri. The rooms are nice and very clean, the staff were friendly and the breakfast included in the stay was fantastic.
I believe Adi Assri is one of the best resorts this area, the gardens are well maintain, they have three pools and at the time of my stay few guest were staying there so we practically had a pool for two people. My only concerns were that the ocean at this time of the year (late january) had jelly fish and it is not possible to swim without getting stung. The menjangan island is for sure a fantastic place for diving and snorkeling, the prices for these service at the hotel are resonable, the spa massages are great since the staff and the installations are very nice.

Charming mid-range resort right on beach in a village with amazing snorkeling straight off the beach. Situated on a beautiful bay, dotted with low rise resorts/hotels, local fishing villages and dive shops. Good facilities at hotel & lovely friendly staff - very attentive to your needs. Room comfortable, although very private outside toilet & shower may not suit some, particularly at night. Food good standard & well priced. Gluten Free well catered for by the chef on request. Great cocktail/drinks/snacks list, to be enjoyed lounging under a shady tree overlooking the beach, in the bar, or in the pool bar. Massages lovely, although not luxurious surrounds. Dive shop is PADI qualified. Diving & snorkeling are main attraction here (hint- if you have large feet, best to bring your own gear) Can travel by boat direct from the bay to Menjangan Island with its spectacular reefs & walls, or to more nearby reefs - some are natural and some are part of conservation projects. Tour desk can arrange trips to local temples, cycling, etc. If you aren't feeling energetic there are 3 pools to laze by.

Pemuteran is a small village, so don't expect too much - but the hotel is conveniently located on the beach near the amazing reefs. The diving centre is professional and lends snorkelling gear to guests. Very friendly staff. Breakfasts were nice, not so great for lunch or dinner, but it's walking distance to a few decent warungs and Joe's bar

A pleasant and welcome surprise!

Adi Assri was much better than I had expected. The hotel was in a nice quiet area and had a calm
Atmosphere. The staff at the front desk were very attentive and always offering assistance. The breakfast was standard Indonesian hotel format (select 1 of 3 menus) and the portions were a bit smaller than I'm used to but it was good. The spa was amazing and the ladies there were very nice! I would recommend the Balinese massage if you have the time!!
The pool was one of the nicest parts of the hotel as it faces the beach. There are actually two pools, one near the restaurant and one near the spa. The hotel also offers snorkeling and diving tours.
The room was also really nice. There is no television which makes for calm quiet evenings and it has AC and mosquito nets. The door was a traditional style that you lock with a padlock which was a nice touch.
I was a bit nervous at first about the outdoor shower but it was actually a really fun experience! The insects weren't a problem at all!
I would definitely stay again!

The resort is right beside the best shore snorkeling we've seen. Having dinner right beside the shore is very romantic. You see the fisherman coming in with their catch at night, the women and children come to help carry the fish home to distribute amongst their families.

The one real issue for us was around the very hit and miss water pressure for the shower and tap. the hotel was quick to investigate and respond though.

Beautiful views out to sea

This was a really relaxing stay. The room was really nice, the pools were warm and inviting and the restaurant food was really good. It was great sitting on loungers on the beach and around the pool watching the fishing boat going out and coming back in with their catches. The dive centre on the grounds was very good. All in all it was a great stay however the beach along from the hotel was let down by a lot of rubbish.

Stayed here 2 nights. It was okay. However be aware of a few things, the property has clearly been expanded and on the new slice of land are all the modern villas which most of the photo's depict and command the higher prices. The cheaper rooms are the older villas. The villas are fine, cute outdoor shower and toilet but don't expect too much. They are quite small and all villas are all quite close to each other; it's nice to have a bit of space around you right?! On the upside, the staff are really friendly, the Nasi Goreng is excellent, the property fronts onto the beautiful beach and there are two pools at the front. My last suggestion is that you consider \"Amertha Bali Villas Beach Front Resort and Spa\" which is about 100m along the beach; it's more expensive but consider if your budget can go that far or not. We are in our late 30's/early 40's and live in Asia so perhaps our expectations are different

DIVING IN PARADISE

Absolitely loved our 8 days at Adi Assri. Quiet, relaxed, great value for money, romantic.

Wi fi is rubbish but the manager knows and is dealing with it.

Rooms are gorgeous bungalows, good AC and mozzie nets, shower and toilet are outside and very private.

Food is excellent.

Diving or snorkelling with Sea Rovers highly recommended.

Hotel is great for snorkeling trip. Take the boat that leaves from the hotel! Although it is more expansive, it is well worth the extra pay. Avoid the hotel restaurant, instead eat at \"Tirta Sari\" restaurant which is 5 min walk west of the hotel.

Great Snorkelling Tours on Site

Adi Assri is a great hotel. The units, in a one-level garden setting, are lovely and comfortable. The outdoor (enclosed) shower and toilet is nice but the floor does get wet when you take a shower - not a major hassle, but you need to remember. Two lovely swimming pools. You can swim in the sea, but some people may choose not to as the hotel is between some local fishing villages and there is a lot of rubbish in the water. There are a number of good inexpensive restaurants situated within 300m on either side of the hotel on the main road if you choose not to eat at the hotel. The dive shop on site, Sea Rovers, is more expensive than the other dive shops (also located within 300m on either side of the hotel on the main road) but having tried both options we believe that the extra cost of the Sea Rover's snorkelling trip is more than justified. The only advantage with going with one of the other operators is that their boats are slower and you get better phot opportunities of Menjagan Island (where the snorlelling takes place in a pristine marine reserve). You do however waste a lot of time waiting for transport (car to the harbour, boat to the island and back, and car back to the dive shop). With Sea Rovers you travel in a modern speed boat directly from, and back to, the hotel. This saves a lot of time.

An Excellent Resort

An excellent resort hotel situated in spacious tropical grounds set between the Gilimanuk to Lovina road and Pemuteran beach. The rooms have all been built to a high standard and are light and airy, well decorated and comfortably furnished. They also feature an open-air bathroom. The two pools are of adequate size and well maintained. Plentiful loungers are available both around the pools and on the beach. The buffet breakfast is good with a fair choice provided. The stay at the resort is also enhanced by the staff who are both very welcoming and helpful. All in all this hotel provides excellent value for money.

Quiet retreat on the north coast of Bali.

The Adi Assri is situated in the small fishing village Pemuteran. Rooms are situated around the lush gardens that lead to the seaside restaurant and pool.

Rooms are very nice. Spacious and well equipped. Nice outside private bathroom. Although it's a bit of a longshot to sell the seaview rooms as 'seaview'. You would have to sort of see though the restaurant and pool area.

The restaurant is EXELLENT! We ate there all nights!! Just amazing. Compliments to the chefs and staff!

Generally a very nice getaway stay. No Kuta crazyness here, just seaside peace and quietness.

A peaceful haven

We chose Adi Assri based on photos and apparent value. All expectations were exceeded. Staff were helfpul and genuinely friendly, gardens, water features and statues etc were manicured, and our spotless \"villa\" was lovely. Hardwood furniture and floors, open-air shower and a large bedstead (with mosquito net), plus verandah overlooking the beach, pools and restaurant, were tasteful and beautiful. Absence of television was particularly charming. Staff came to the room first to clean it (thoroughly) and place new flowers on the bed, then to prepare the mosquito net in the evening (etc). The restaurant served excellent Indonesian and western food at reasonable prices and daily rotating specials (though any alcoholic beverages other than ubiquitous Bintang beer were expensive). There were few other quests so the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing...with almost no one on the beach other than fishermen. The surrounding area, including the nearby monkey temple, a buddhist temple and hot springs a short drive to the east, and a national park and Menjangan island to the west, is definitely an added attraction. Finally, there was an excellent dive centre attached to the hotel, run by a very pleasant and relaxed Geordie named Paul. He runs a tight ship, with excellent facilities and staff who could hardly fail with the amazing underwater treats on offer. All told, we had a superb experience at Adi Assri; we will definitely return, and would recommend it to others without hesitation.

L’hôtel pourrait être très bien, ce qui lui a permis d obtenir 4 étoiles dans les années 90, mais depuis rien n a changé.
Malgré du personnel très souriant et gentil et des espaces verts impeccable, le reste est laissé à l abandon.
La piscine est trouble et avec de la vase, parasols quasi tous cassés, le mobilier des chambres est très très usagé, et le buffet continental compte tenu du faible taux de remplissage n en est pas un.
C est dommage, mais c est de loin notre pire hôtel sur Bali.

Wir haben in der wundervollen Villa mit privatem Pool gewohnt und haben es sehr genossen. Das Haus, Garten, Pool waren sehr gepflegt und der Service spitze. Wir würde das Ressort auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

ik vond het fantastisch, zo'n mooi kamer die ik had, aan zee, zo gaaf. Alles was mooi, lief en leuk daar... enige minpuntje: ontbijt heerlijk, maar heel weinig. meer kinderporties, had nog honger als het op was.... ze adverteren met een buffet, maar dat is niet waar. Verder alles subliem!

Leider etwas zurückgefallen

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in diesem Resort. Leider mussten wir feststellen, dass es nicht mehr so toll wie beim ersten mMal war. Abgesehen davon, dass einige Teile nicht freigegeben waren (das kann noch durch wenige Gäste begründet sein) sind doch einige Dinge verbesserungswürdig. Das Pool ist sanierungsbedürftig, die Hand- und Bedetücher sind zwar sauber aber alt. Die Vorhänge rund ums Bett könnten auch erneuert werden.
Positiv: freundliches Personal, gute Lage, sauber, hilfsbereit, teilweise sind Sanierungsarbeiten schon im Gange, sauberer Strand
Was man bei Bewertungen von Resorts in Ländern wie Bali beachten sollte ist, dass der Tourismus fast zwei Jahre am Nullpunkt war. Damit sind auch keine Einnahmen für Hotels gewesen und somit ist auch eine Renovierung oder Sanierung nicht leicht finanzierbar.

Un séjour grandement apprécié

Bien que l’achalandage était fortement réduit en raison de la pandémie, lors de notre séjour du 17 au 20 mars, nous n’avons vraiment manqué de rien. Le personnel très gentil et accueillant était en nombre plus que suffisant et nous avons eu droit à un excellent service de toute l’équipe. Le bungalow avec vue sur la mer était très comfortable, le ménage fait tous les jours et les repas délicieux et à bon prix. Le petit déjeuner compris était bon et très copieux. Cet hôtel est très bien situé, dans un jardin joliment aménagé et comportant trois piscines, dont une de très grande dimension.

So la la

Das Personal war sehr nett, aber die Anlage war nicht zufriedenstellend. Das Warmwasser funktionierte nicht und musste repariert werden. Wir bekamen ein anderes Haus als upgrade, aber das war auch renovierungsbedürftig. Wir waren vor zwei Jahren in der Anlage, jetzt machte sie keinen so guten Eindruck mehr.

Very good Resort in Nord West Bali

I is a very nice and big resort, very beautiful and clean place, with 3 pools and a good resturant. People at the resort are very help full and arranged a lot of things for us. There was a girl named Ari she really really help full for us.

Vilket Fantastiskt fint hotell! Underbart läge vid stranden. Vackert inrett rum med badrum under bar himmel! Rent och snyggt överallt. Välunderhållen trädgård och pooler. Underbart tillmötesgående, vänlig, hjälpsam proffesionell personal i alla yrkeskategorier. Pickup med chauffören Putu fungerade exemplariskt. Körde lugnt och var alltid i tid. Rekommenderar verkligen Adi Assri

Tre giorni in paradiso

Hotel bellissimo, in una posizione stupenda fronte spiaggia. Il bungalow in cui abbiamo soggiornato era molto pulito e ben curato, abbiamo apprezzato tutte le piccole attenzioni che lo staff dedica agli ospiti dell'hotel, la sera trovavamo sempre una zanzariera accesa sulla veranda, il giardino e le piscine sono puliti costantemente. La colazione a buffet è varia e abbondante e viene servita in una bellissima veranda da cui si vede la spiaggia. Una nota positiva per la Spa e anche per i tour organizzati dall'Hotel per vedere i delfini all'alba e per lo snorkeling.

Ein wirklich empfehlenswertes Hotel

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit im Adi Assri Beach Resort. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt - Gärtner sind den ganzen Tag unterwegs und bringen alles auf Vordermann. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und bemüht darum, dass die Gäste sich wohlfühlen. Wir hatten ein Deluxe-Zimmer, was wirklich ein Traum war - Outdoor-Dusche, Badewanne, großzügiger Bungalow, gute Matratze, Mückenschutz, direkt an Pool und Strand gelegen. Die Pools und auch der Strandbereich sind ebenso schön und gepflegt. Am Strand stehen Liegestühle, bunte Sitzsäcke, eine Hollywoodschaukel - allerhand Details. Der Strand ist im Vergleich zu vielen anderen auf Bali auch sehr sauber. Einzige Downside - das Internet bricht immer mal wieder zusammen und ist sehr langsam, das Essen im Restaurant nicht empfehlenswert. Das Frühstück ist ok, wenn auch sehr schwankend in der Qualität, Mittagessen gar nicht gut. Es gibt allerdings in Laufnähe einige sehr gute und günstige Restaurants in Pemuteran, in denen man hervorragend essen kann und bestens bedient wird. Wir würden hier jederzeit wieder hinfahren. Es waren ein paar wunderschöne Tage.
