The room was clean and up to date. Both maintenance and housekeeping were good. The bed and large pillows were very comfortable. Having the Netflix app on the television was much appreciated. While the neighborhood may not be much, it's close to a metro station and tuktuks. The restaurant is a gem that should not be overlooked. The food and service were great. The rooms are very modern and the desk and security staff went out of their way to assist me.

Great location and in walking distance to food, shoping, etc. Would stay again but my next stay is for 4 weeks and it is not within my budget. Thanks to everyone for making my stay a goog one.

There is nothing extra exciting or inspiring about this hotel, but it is a solid choice and we would consider staying there again. This is especially if you have a good reason to be in the Green Park neighborhood or you appreciate having a metro station (Green Park on the Yellow Line) just a few steps away. We were a little disappointed that the restaurant did not have much in terms of vegan options. Luckily other restaurant options are within walking distance. The room was a little small, but it was fine for Delhi. It was clean and organized and the staff were professional and courteous.

overall, it was fine. for a little less money, you'd be somewhere sketchy. for a little more, you'd be somewhere nicer. so middle of the road, and perfectly fine. not great, not terrible. there is another sarovar portico location near the airport which looked nicer and i would consider visiting next time we're in delhi.
the hotel was clean and quiet and we had plenty of hot water for showering. the room was a little beat up looking, with chipped furniture and flooring, and the bathroom fixtures a little worn. but the bathroom and linens were clean and the room was warm which was nice because delhi was experiencing record low temps while we were there.
on our booking, it clearly stated we had free breakfast, but when we got there, they insisted we did not and charged us. i was too tired to argue so we paid it both days. it wasn't a lot and it's india, so pick your battles.
however, breakfast was good and everything was freshly prepared.

Hotel is located in a area, where you can find small shop, pharmacies, etc. It only takes 20 minutes to get to Rajiv Chowk (Connaught place) by metro. I reccomend when it is possible to use metro, as it is fast and you always know how long it will take to get there. In the roads it seems like always rush hour. Hotel is nice with bright and clean rooms.

For the price I would have expected a room with a little more space, I could only open my suitcase by opening on the bed. The staff is polite but not really helpful, although I think they try, probably language issues.

The hotel is remarkably high spec for hotels in this category in Delhi. Most impressive was the friendly staff, particularly those in the dining area who were polite and professional and very attentive to guests' needs. Highly recommendable and I would certainly like to stay there again!

Fantastic Hotel in South Delhi
This is my second trip to Delhi for business and decided to give Ashtan Sarovar Portico a try and I was very pleasantly surprised. Probably one of the more strategically located boutique hotel that is just 2 minutes walk away from the Metro Station and connects you everywhere. It is also a very nicely furbished hotel with tasteful room furnishing and very good service. Always smiling staff even though I called housekeeping at midnight for a refill of soaps and towels. Breakfast spread is good value. A true business hotel that will always be at the top of my list!! Welldone!

This was truly the best stay I have ever had in the US or abroad. The rooms are a bit small, but that is expected in a city. Very modern, and most importantly, the staff was unbelievably helpful, from finding reputable drivers to helping us resolve an issue with my bank back in the states. I have not come across such helpful in my 40 years of travel. It is also right across the street from where the auto rickshaws stage, and very close to a market where you can find everything from coffee shop to shops that have any provisions you may need. HIGHLY recommend cor the price (about $85.00 a night). Also, good 24 hour rooms service, and frre breakfast buffet.

For a first night in India The Ashtan Sarovar Portico was a great hotel to stay at. The staff were particularly helpful and the room was very nice.
The only slight on the stay was the service in the restaurant was very slow as the waiters seemed to be more interested in watching television.

Although I was to stay one night, I returned to Mumbai after only a few hours at the hotel as all my meetings in Delhi got cancelled at the last moment. But I am sure I would have been very satisfied if I had stayed on.

Modern room, clean and comfortable. There is no real window, there is frosted glass that opens into the centre of the hotel, a bit weird.
They let us check in early which was great.

We visited Dilli Haat bazaar nearby, just 20 rupees entry fee. Lots of stalls selling handicrafts, food etc and a live stage show of dancers from Bengal. It was a very pleasant evening, not too much hassle compared to other Indian markets we have been to.
Only downside to the Ashtan Sarovar was that there was no hot water whatsoever on the morning we were leaving, apparently there was a technical fault with the boiler, it did spoil my stay having to wash my hair and shower in cold water!
We paid £65 through Expedia, it was Ok value for money but compared to other hotels we stayed at in North India, we felt that we could have gone for a lower priced accommodation in Delhi and still got a reasonable standard hotel.

PROS: a) Good breakfast (b) Welcoming and polite staff (c)Nice room. CONS: (a) Difficult to sleep as the street next to the hotel is busy all the time with bad traffic and consistent loud honking noises. Hardly any sound proofing (b) Can shower only in the morning, as they turn off the boiler after that and it takes more than 45 mins to get warm water. (c) Stingy on bathroom supplies like toilet paper, shower gel etc.

The best thing for us about this hotel is that our room although not large was very comfortable, with a good quality bed mattress and very good shower too, and clean. The staff here are friendly and pleasant , but their English is not so good so the service is not the very best, but have to give them top marks for trying., and overall was a good experience. Had the best sleep :) here of all our hotels in India .
