Room was prepared after my arrival around 10pm. To my dismay, I discovered that my bedsheet was soiled and had blood spots on it. I showed the management pictures to bring it to their notice. There was no water provided in my room and I requested for couple of water bottles, two Bisleris were brought up and duly charged to my bill. However the charge was removed after my objection. Breakfast was absolutely cold and the food warmers were turned on only after I brought it to the staff’s notice. Very careless and callous attitude was on full view this time around. I had a reasonable experience early in the year. SORRY !!

Five Stars for The Visaya

My husband and I were very impressed by the outstanding and super- responsive smiling service, comfort, cleanliness and the beautiful interiors at The Visaya (which is right next to Panchsheel Club). Despite the chaotic and maddening traffic in South Delhi, The Visaya was an oasis of calm and tranquility.
The breakfast was good and varied, the guest rooms and washrooms well designed and beautiful. All in all a very comfortable stay.
We would highly recommend it to visitors from anywhere in the world.

4 star boutique with 3 star service.

The hotel is very fresh and clean, beautiful interior with good rooms.however the food is horrible and the service of their restaurant is also very poor. I have always given this feedback to their management in the past and also in this trip. However I see no improvement. Also the bathroom of the rooms are also not well maintained. So the next time I visit delhi, I will be having second thoughts of if I should stay at this hotel or choose another property.

We would not recommend staying here. The room was in slight disrepair, the air units were dirty, the shower door did not open completely, the door to the balcony did not lock, they \"washed\" our laundry and it returned smelly, and service to the room was slow or would sometimes forget. A few very nice guys at the front desk, but just as many unhelpful ones.

Would not recommend!! We stayed at The Visaya a total of six nights on two separate occasions during a trip to Delhi. In addition, we had booked two other rooms for one night for friends. During the second week, we were awakened around 2:00 in the morning coughing and choking. My wife ended up in the bathroom throwing up. Next the room filled completely with smoke so I instructed my wife and daughter to evacuate the room immediately. My wife ended up in the lobby of the hotel in her nightgown. The night manager went up to our room and concluded the problem was that they were fumigating an adjoining room for mosquitoes and whatever was being used came into our room through the ventilation system. We contemplated finding other accommodations nearby but the night manager was adamant in convincing us to not leave the property in the middle of the night. We ended up being moved to a room in another part of the hotel but our night's sleep was ruined. When it came time to check out, we asked for the name of the material that we were subjected to (in the event of future complications) and were provided the name after numerous requests. In addition, we asked for one free night (out of six) for the issues we encountered. After numerous requests, phone calls and frustrations the only accommodation was a discount of 10%. Having no other alternative, we paid the bill and advised the management of our total frustration.

Good Location in South Delhi

This small \"boutique\" hotel in Pancheel Park is well suited for those needing to access South Delhi.
I was attending a conference in Vasant Kunj so good location and acceptable rate.

Stayed here before 5 years ago so decided to use it again, the bathrooms are starting to look a little shabby, attention to detail in cleaning could be improved.

No bathmat in bathroom on first night not a big deal. the calcium build up around the taps needs to be addresses and mould in the shower.

We arrives at the Visaya and bellman was helpful and check-in was easy. Room and bed were comfortable and bath was nice but a little dark. Fridge in room and close to meetings. We had a superb stay at this hotel. Great experience. Just one thing that let us down! the air conditioning system kept playing up. We had to call the engineer twice to get it resolved. This didn't bother us too much as the engineer was quick at service.

From the onset, I am going to book The Visaya for sure the next time I'm here. The moment you set your foot in the hotel from the hustle bustle of the capital city, you are greeted by the serene music and ambience of the clean and very professional facility. And further pleasantry was added by the courteous and well groomed staff. The room was comfortable and spacious. Had a mini fridge. Good flat screen tv. Closet with security box. 3 chairs. A coffee table. The bathroom was well equipped as well with warm and cold water. Out of the room, we loved the restaurant and the extended restaurant patio. Spent couple of evenings there till night with the sound of wind chimes. The breakfast had a good mix of cuisine items, from European, North/South/West Indian food. 24 hours room service with some class. The hotel hit above it's weight and wowed us. We loved it!

A 4 star hotel with sub 3 star cleanliness

This hotel is beautiful. Really.

However, the bed sheets weren't perfectly clean. Their was mold around the bath. One pillow had traces of blood. I haven't noticed any measure to reduce the amount of mosquitoes. The staff was friendly and the food was average.

Basically, I recommend the hotels owners to invest in renovations and in cleaning. With these measures, the hotel will deserve it's 4 star rating.

Front office staff need to improve attitude.

It was amazing, in terms of all the little things - a second temporary WiFi password to allow for another two devices to connect (extra mobile phones/wireless devices), an excellent rotating selection of south Indian & continental breakfast foods, etc. Located about five minutes from the Hauz Khas metro by foot. My only gripe was the exceedingly pointless fitness center and the one time I was woken up at 6 am by the staff delivering a toothbrush to my room (why?). Otherwise, I was very happy with decor, cleanliness, facilities, and the service.

A friend in Delhi recommended this hotel. Great choice. The hotel is right on a major artery so access to the rest of the city is excellent. The room was very large and spacious. There is a regular double bed as well as a large couch for a third person to sleep if needed. We were in the second building on the property so we had the whole floor to ourselves. Our room was quiet and very private. Good elevator for our bags. The staff was SUPER helpful all the way from check-in to check-out. They were courteous, efficient and professional from the front desk staff to the excellent kitchen staff to room service. There was a very spacious and quiet outdoor deck just off the dining room to enjoy either a full meal or a leisurely dessert. This hotel was a great place to eat as there were no other restaurants close by that we could find. It was on the edge of a residential area so once we got off the street it was surprisingly quiet. Large western style bathroom with tub and shower was very nice. This is a recently built Western style hotel that looks and feels like a high end sophisticated hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Excellent experience.

We had a very short stay at the Visaya but it was nice. The room and property are very clean. Unfortunately, while checking out at 3am the credit card machine wasn't working and I had to pay the remaining balance in cash (which I barely had enough of since I was leaving India). I would recommend that they make sure that this is not an issue in the future especially since India is going toward being a cashless economy.

Do not book here. you will find way better hotels in way cheaper prices. This stay was nothing but disappointing. The room was different from the pictures in Hotels.com app and not like what it's written in the customer's review. Room was not very clean and old. As we checked in the room we felt \"with the rate we paid we could have stayed way better hotel.\" the only thing good here was the location. we asked to cancel the booking right after we saw the room but the hotel said no we will charge you the whole stay ( we booked 3nights 4days.) so we called Hotels.com. We eventually charged 3times of the price we booked for per night. with that price we would have been able to enjoy way better 5star hotels. so disappointed. will never trust reviews and pictures. ripped off!!!

This place is nice. They have very good service. My Mom and I arrived early in the morning and the check in was in the afternoon. They accommodated us as soon as a room became available. We were not very fond of that room and they switched us back to another room in the evening.
The breakfast was very nice. Even though it was a buffet style, the service staff was there to assist they taking any orders. I was impressed. Keep it up.

Don't waste your money - bandits - from reception to staff - they have a blatant percentage in everything including cabs

Reception - staff cannot even speak English - if you ask any question - will get back to u in 20 min after speaking to the manager

Ask for a cab - Will force you to use their vendors - they are priced 5 times over

Ask for market area -they will ask you to use the restaurant

Ask for shopping - will direct you to their owners wife's boutique in the hotel

Only pictures are professionally taken - linen really bad - bathroom shabby - rooms smell of smoke - too much noise in the night - walls are very thin

Staff is very rude - food is horrible - room service is pathetic

They will haggle you to leave the room at sharp 12 noon or you will be charged hourly

Small and nice hotel with great value for money

Stay was great overall. This was our 2nd stay. This time we were accompanied by my 70+ relatives and they found the hotel quite awesome. There were a few minor points which could be considered for improvement e.g. one of the rooms becoming affected by the smoking in the adjoining areas, a faulty soap dispenser etc. But these were minor when compared with the pluses such as excellent food (cant forget the sandwiches and pakodas), very courteous and helpful staff, simple and ethnic ambience, unpretentious look etc etc......

Nice hotel in Panchsheel Park, Delhi

I stayed at the Hotel Visaya from November 25-30, 2015, while attending a wedding in Delhi. It was a very pleasant experience. The staff were very courteous and attentive to my needs. I used the restaurant for the complimentary breakfast and also for a couple of dinners with friends and families. The rates were very reasonable and the service and quality of the food excellent. I will definitely stay here during my future visits. Room service was very good too - and so was house-keeping.

This hotel is thousands and thousands miles far from being a 4star. It is extremely old and dirty. There are roaches everywhere. Be prepared to find long black hair in ur bed, under the pillows. Even if they renew the sheets, look carefully, u will still find hair and spots all over the sheets. The staff however are amazing!!! I feel so bad being so mean about rating this hotel, but I have to be honest. The staff is so friendly and so kind. They all deserve to be working at a 7star resort, not this place.

Worst place I we ever stayed at. We booked the hotel via www.hotels.com and our booking was confirmed. Before check in we were informed that they don't have availability now and they wanted to adjust us in some other property which we found long distance away. Hotels.com couldn't provide us any solution after calling them thrice for 1.5hr. There was no cooperation from The Visaya hotel itself. Finally the visaya called us that suddenly they had shifted one of their guests to another hotel. I found that extremely strange. At the check in they gave us a room at the top floor which had no lift connected to it. The floor was rather in a condition of a sauna room. There was too much heat and no proper lighting. It was isolated place. We booked fot two nights but due to their mismanagement and non cooperation we had to check out next day. Thumbs down for this hotel.

A 3 star Hotel with the face of 4 Star Hotel

As others have also noted, the Hotel looks nice in photos and from outside, but it is actually a 3 or even 2 star hotel. Towels are all gray and bed sheets have spots on them. Also, since this is a small hotel, there is no Taxi line ups in front of it. So, if you need a taxi to go to airport, you have no choice using hotel drop off service which costs you 3 times more than a regular cap! The hotel reception also doesn't call or assist you to get a regular taxi.Also, note that there is nearby metro station which makes it super easy to go to different parts of city, much better than getting taxi.

Having said all these, this is a cheap hotel, so you get what you pay for it, just don't expect a 4 star quality ...

I stayed 3 nights at the Visaya... It was a very good experience. Nice room, good Aircon ( necessary when Delhi is 41 degrees Celsius), quiet even though it's on a busy road. Good breakfast and I also had both room service and a couple of meals in the hotel cafe. All good. I would definitely stay here again, but possibly not for a first visit to Delhi as being in South Delhi it's about 39 mins away from most of the sights. On the plus side it's not too far from the airport and I thought very good value for money. Our only compliant:We had an early morning train to catch and asked the hotel to provide 2 breakfast boxes. We got 1 cheese sandwich, 1 apple, 1 orange and 1 banana to share... Worst breakfast box ever! Apart from that a great stay and recommended

I stayed in the hotel for two days and I was highly pleased by the service that me and my family received at the hotel. Specially the front desk staff was extremely helpful and provided personal attention to our needs. \" Faisal \" was very helpful. I was impressed by his personal attention to our needs on the last day while we were leaving for some personal work. The hotel was clean , well kept and the staff professional and courteous, just like I would expect in any large hotel . I would highly recommend this place in case anyone wants to stay near this area

No room available despite booking.

Would like to say its a great hotel, but after phoning to get exact details where it was located(taxi driver did not know) we were told no rooms were available !!
They did put us to another hotel for 1 night, as this hotel was full for our 2nd night we were told they could do nothing about the 2nd night despite already paying for it.So we had to find something ourselves !!!

very nice hotel with untransparent fee system

beautiful hotel and no complaints about comfort, tidyness and hotel conditions. Be careful when you book a double room as the price might come as a single occupancy and additional fees apply for using a double room with 2 persons! We had booked 5 rooms and stayed 3 nights - other hotels give some discount for booking more rooms / days. Here we paied more and ended up with about 40% plus compared to the fee shown in the booking platform.The additional charges show up only in a small line \"tax and fees\" - pay attention to that line before you book.

Great value for money

We had a great stay here. The room was clean and comfortable, had a mini bar, TV. Bathroom was clean, had toiletries, working shower, towels etc. Hotel had free wifi. Location was excellent - very close to Hauz Khas and the metro station. The staff was extremely helpful. They helped us arrange transport to the airport. They received a package for me and called me to inform me of it. I also left luggage for the day after I had checked out(my flight was in the evening) and deposit/retrieval was prompt. The Visaya is great value for money.

A couple of things could be better. We saw one bug in the breakfast area. Didn't see any insects in our room or anywhere else so doesn't seem like an infestation. I reported it to a member of the staff and he immediately dispatched someone to spray the area. Also, the curtains in the bedroom did not close all the way so it lets light into the room.

Apart from those 2 issues, our stay was great. I would definitely go back to stay there.

Pretty hotel near Haus Khas Village

Only a short stay but it was certainly a sweet one. Very efficient and welcome staff. Good sized rooms, very clean and well decorated. Right near Haus Khas Village so very convenient for the bars.

Nice hotel with great staff

Do not change your money in any Hotel. The rate would be significantly different. It is better to rent a car for a day for 1700 INR. The driver take you around and it can save lots of time and efforts. If you are not familiar to India, renting a full day car is the best choice.
