We were offered a room in a different building - Altair not Atria Crozats. We had no reception and had to walk outside to ge to the spa.
Not allowed to use the spa at Amara.
Beds not done on arrival despite claiming is a 4 star hotel.
Comfy beds and nice and helpful staff.

Pleasant and stylish residence

We had a great time at the P&V Atria-Crozats Residence.

The property is stylish and relatively well positioned within the resort with stairs down to the village centre close by and easy access to slopes. However, this is not necessarily ideal for young children as it could be cumbersome to carry them and the ski gear up to the building…

The children corner is a nice concept but the toys were mainly for toddlers and had missing parts. The pencils were not sharpened… we only went once because of this.

The apartments for 4/5 are of a “decent” size for a ski resort but still quite small (we could not close the door of the bedroom if the beds were separated/against the wall).
The ski lockers have got a lot of room: we easily managed to squeeze the 4 pairs of ski and 2 sledges (one large one and one flatter one).

As terms of equipments in the rooms/apartments, the kitchen has a microwave, kettle, filter coffee machine and a washing machine. Shame it doesn’t have a proper oven though…
The property loans fondue set.

Customers staying at the Atria-Crozats have access to most activities that take place in the bigger P&V residence of the resort (Amara) but not to the gym or swimming pool.
Childcare could be provided by the local ski schools (book well in advance of going during the school holidays) or through the Amara.

Overall, a pleasant residence but it was rather pricey during the school holidays.

The room is clean, tidy and spacey with a lot of storage areas and kitchen amenities. You can also order breads daily to the hotel from a nice local bakery shop.

Yet most the hotel staff are not well-trained, eg hotel staff may not be able to communicate well in English, not able to help sort out the issue how to call hotel reception from fixed-line telephone in our room, even after several requests, not able to advise & arrange airport taxi from hotel, not able to provide extra rubbish bags in 7 days after the initial one.

This hotel is more for customers with basic needs for accommodation without any services. For me, I will expect this 4-star rated hotel to provide better services.

Atria Crozats is well situated near the top of the resort which is fine as long as the escalators are working to get back up from the town. Ski in and out with good ski lockers. Very friendly staff. It’s spacious enough for two adults but not for the 5 as advertised; It had only one toilet! Nice to have a kitchenette/ microwave, hob & coffee maker so we could eat at home whenever we fancied. Handy central location from the Tours ski lift so great ski in and ski out. However bring supplies! Like toilet roll/ coffee perculator filters, bin bags as these aren’t in the apartment but there’s a carrefour supermarket so it’s quite an expensive place overall. The walls are thin as we could hear people coming and going in the corridors and had a loud partying group next door which was annoying for a couple of nights before we left. They left broken wine glasses in the corridors and empty beer bottles scattered around the place on the night that we left. Wifi is fine Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

Property is well placed and nice and clean. The rooms are too warm.
I felt the whole having to make up your own bed with bed linen and then stripping it bizarre. Towels are tiny. The space was for 6 people I would suggest it would be a tight squeeze with that many. The beds are very uncomfortable and tiny.

The location was excellent- ski in/out . Ski locker rooms were too small to be practical . No space to even stand and put boots on. Although a standard appartment , I think we should have been given a safe since our apartment door (702) opens straight to the outside. Staff very friendly but for space and a safe I would book premium p&v next time .

A really good property and location. The escalators to the city center were just across the street, the condition of the property was good, the plateau (ski schools etc. meeting point) were just down the street and the service were polite and helpful albeit the check-in process were extremely slow and there were often a line waiting in the reception.
All in all we will properly come back.

We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom apartments - it had capacity to sleep 8 so was very spacious for our family of 5 (bearing in mind it is a centrally locates ski apartment). The decor was nice and it was clean on arrival. We had some difficulty operating the dishwasher so ended up having to wash all the dishes by hand - not the end of the world. It was a perfect location for us - the tourist nursery was literally the building in front of us and it was a short walk to the ski school. We got a good deal in the second to last week of the season but I imagine these apartments would be very pricey during peak periods. We would definitely stay here again.

Our 3 rd year at atria crozats - we love the location , ski room and staff, great to order bread from reception to collect fresh for breakfast . Easy access to restaurants bars and 2 supermarkets. Like there is a separate bedroom for kids.
Negatives , sofa bed in lounge is a bit uncomfortable compared to proper bed, no oven, only microwave and hob in apartment .

Everything you'd want for self catering in Avoriaz

This residence is pretty standard self catering, but recently updated so has a clean & new feel. It's ski in ski out but only when there's enough snow and I'm told last Easter there wasn't - it's not in the centre of the village and there's just one ski trail to the residence which you have to get the chairlift to so if that's not working you have to do some walking up hill with boots & skis etc. There is an escalator up from the village centre right to the apartments which is helpful but many stairs down. Lovely views from every balcony. Overall, a great stay.

I will be back, so so happy I chose this hotel.

This hotel is a little gem in an amazing area. No more than 5 minutes hike from the nearest run. Great facility, the boot/board locker was very useful.
The town is fantastic, all you can want is there.
One down side was the room size, a little cramped for 5 adults, but I guess that comes down to me booking a room to maximum capacity. Four adults would be cosy, leaving the drop down bunk empty.

The room and building was very clean and everything worked as it should. A spare roll or two of toilet paper wouldn't have gone a miss but we just added that to our shopping list and it didn't cost the earth.
Heat and hot water were ample, never once had a problem with keeping the room warm even in -21°C.

Another great trip to Avoriaz

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and in particular the Alhena building. There were 6 adults this time around in a 2 bedroom appartment - there was more than enough room for us all. On arrival there was an issue with a bad smell outside of the appartment however the hotel reception were very prompt to send cleaners to deal with this. The appartment was clean and comfortable in the main with 3 separate bathrooms (1 shower/sink, 1 bath/shower/sink and 1 separate toilet) which worked well for 6 adults. The beds were on the firm side but this seems normal for ski apartments from our experiences over the last 15 years. Location good and the covered escalators into the town centre helpful. Free transfers are available from the Prodains cable car or the Welcome centre.

Beds and sofas are uncomfortable, not what you need after a day on the slopes. Kitchenette poorly equipped with mishmash collections of glasses and plates. Ski locker was too small to hold 2 sets of skis and boots, meant to serve 4 people.The staff were helpful and the block is well located with easy access to the shops and the slopes

Modern apartments in an excellent location

We were a little uncertain what to expect from this accommodation based on the reviews, but we're pleased to find the grumbles of previous residents were largely overexaggerated. The transport, which is included in the price, picks you up from the resort entrance and takes you to the doorstep of the hotel where receptionists are waiting to check you in. There are four or five buildings which are next to each other and all a few steps from the main reception. The apartment was clean and tidy. The decor is modern and of a good standard. We were two adults in an apartment for five people so we slept on the pull-out double bed in the lounge. The mattress was firm but perfectly comfortable. There was a bedroom containing two singles and an overhead pull-down bed and one cupboard with one rail and a few shelves. The toilet is separate to the bathroom. The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, sink and the most efficient towel rail you will ever come across. The only observation was if the apartment was at full capacity, there would be a lack of storage space; however this would be fine for a couple or family of four. The kitchen had plenty of utensils, cutlery and crockery and there is a hob and microwave for cooking. We were really happy with this accommodation and would definitely stay again.

The hotel room (3-5 person) was clean and tidy with a kitchenette that included a dishwasher, hob and microwave. There is a fold out double sofa bed in the main lounge area as well as 3 beds (2 singles and a full size bunk) in the main bedroom.

Short break availability from Tuesday to Tuesday was excellent. Very good standard apartment, particularly for ski resort where things are generally basic. Good space, new and clean. Arrangements made easily with reception for late arrival after hours. Very friendly on-site team and everything exactly as advertised.

Snow was brilliant so a great time snowboarding - always helps - but the apartment was nice enough that for once, we did not race out for early lifts but enjoyed the view over coffee and breakfast.

We had a 7 days ski trip. The room was very spacious and could easily have up to 4 people. The room was very comfortable as it included a separate bathroom and kitchen.
You have to buy by yourself almost everything (linen, towels and kitchenware are available) like toilet paper, dish soap etc.
If you don't know french then the reception is little of help. We paid 20 EU for a week worth of internet which did not work for one day out of the seven.

Otherwise, great location, clean rooms which save you money because you can prepare your own food.

Quite spacious apartment for two adults and two children, would struggle for seven. Very limited space to hang or put your clothes.

Town was in walking distance with several restaurants all about the similar price.

Good hotel with a few exceptions

We stayed with our two children, both are first time skiers. The hotel is clean, the rooms are big enough for a family of 2+2, and you have the view of the mountains from the balcony, which is nice. There are two disadvantages. First, the claim that this is a ski-in ski-out is only partially true. Skiing out is not trivial, especially if you are a beginner, since for example going to the ESF is a moderate climb most of the way. Skiing out is definitely not possible and we had to walk up the last 100-200 meters. Not too bad, but I wouldn't call it ski-in ski-out... The other disadvantage is that the reception closes at 8pm, and the center's village is a distance (there are escalators, but they don't all work), so it's ok if you don't have children, but otherwise you have to entertain them in the room in the afternoon/evening, or spend it in the restaurants in the center. There's nothing much in the reception either, except for a couple of PS3 that are usually occupied by other children who didn't ski and stayed there the entire day.... So generally I wouldn't think of it as a hotel, but more as a tiny apartment. Other than that the hotel is great, the service is very good (whenever we had a problem someone from the staff came to see us in our room within a few minutes), and it was relatively not expensive.

Stylish and contemporary

The quality fo the rooms is great here, and the location, less than 5 minutes from the centre of Avoriaz can't be faulted. The staff let us down by being very difficult about checking in late at night. I don't know if this was a communication breakdown between hotels.com and the hotel or is just how they always treat customers, but it spoiled what was otherwise a great break.
