Free access to the residence's wellbeing areas: hammam and sauna, indoor heated pool and cardio-training centre. A Deep Nature centre is set up within the residence with an outdoor hot tub, sauna, hammam and spa treatments (surcharge applies).

Great apartment. Clean. Very comfortable beds. Well equipped. So handy for the slopes and loved the outdoor saunas after a day on the slopes

It’s not five star in terms of luxury but it is a comfortable place to ski from. It’s on the edge of the village with one green slope right by the door but otherwise you have to walk with your skis up to the chairlifts which takes about 8-10 minutes. There are ski rental shops and restaurants right on the doorstep. The main village hub is a 5-10 minute walk away, up a hill.
The beds are comfortable. The apartment has everything you need. It’s quiet and well set up.
The pool isn’t that warm and the spa areas could be cleaner. It’s not five star, more 3-4 star.

It was an amazing view, but they give you essentially no amenities, to include toilet paper, zero napkins/paper towels, and only a couple of coffee pods. They said we should buy everything.

We've stayed in other places in Avoriaz in the past and the location of L'Amara is just spot on for children.
Our appointment was directly above the ski locker which was straight out onto the run.
We used the pool area a couple of times and although it was quite busy, it never felt crowded.
The parking was convenient and easy to access the appartment from it.
The appartment itself was actually surprisingly roomy for an avoriaz appartment. We had a 2 bed one and it was plenty big enough for a family of 6, including 2 under 5's. The kitchen was well equipped.
Overall, we would stay again if we returned to Avoriaz again.

Lovely apartment hotel, set away from Main Street which is very busy and could be noisy. Staff were very helpful, medical centre and ski hire also very easy to access. Stayed in Sveta block and skied straight from boot room. 5min walk to restaurants & grocers. Bonus Spa for down days.

Nice apartments and of a good size. We had a 2 bed with balcony for 2 adults, 3 kids. Although designed to sleep 6 it would be right on space. For our group or 4 adults, it’s ideal. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The only negative I can mention, and it is minor, is that we arrived late evening and there is nowhere to get essentials. A simple welcome pack would have helped here. All in all, a great location and I would stay again.

Loved our stay at L’Amara. Took a couple days to figure out the place. But once we did we were blown away with the organization of the place. Kids were picked up outside the hotel reception at 9am daily to go to ski school. It was a 30 second walk from the ski locker to the horse sleigh ride to ski school- amazing! The 2 restaurants were great; coffee pods from reception so easy and delicious; and ordering pastries and bread for breakfast each more was seamless. We didn’t use any of the kids nursery services but the room looked fun/cute. I think some of the other hotels / apartments to rent are more convenient if you are looking to go out more - but L’Amara was seriously perfect! We will be back next year.
The one negative was the bed duvets were so thick and too hot. I wish I had taken a sheet out of the closet to use instead of the duvet.

Disappointing that bar closed at 9pm each day and no food or drink was available (not even a vending machine) on day of arrival after a late (10pm) check-in. Ability to order food to be delivered to rooms ahead of arrival would be a good additional service to offer.

Fantastic accommodation in an amazing location. Views were stunning and the apartments of a really nice quality. Only minor complaints are the pool was a bit too cold and the rooms a bit too hot.

This was our second stay at L'Amara. Fantastic for a family stay. We had a 2 bedroom apt which was perfecrt size for the 5 of our and really comfortable beds (incl the sofa bed!)

This property has most of what you need in a ski resort. Ski in / out is fine but the waiting times to check in and out and and ask basic questions is horrific. Sure, it was peak season but each check in procedure seemed to take an eternity. Something should be done to speed up the process. Also, staff were not clued up on somematters which you’d think would be bread and butter to such a ski-centric property. For example, when asked where one may obtain a lift-pass (previously available from a computer in the lobby), the member of staff at the front desk wasn’t sure at all... suggesting with clear doubt in her mind that passes could probably be bought in town. The walk to the main ticket kiosk is a good 15mins up and down hill but there turned out to be an additional ticket office about half the way there up some stairs opposite the bakery. Again, it just wasn’t clear at all. Also, no information was given about the new location for breakfast which has moved from the bar to Le Grand Cafe across the way. No introduction was offered as to the hotel’s various amenities such as the spa or opening times and guests are generally left to fend for themselves.

The family apartment was big and comfort. But we recieved only two small shampoo bottles for 5 persons for two nights, we had to pay 20 Euros for parking, we had to pay 5 Euros for loosing a simple plastic key (which in all hotels in the world you do not need to return), no breakfast included, no tea, coffee or milk in the room.

We had an unfortunate experience due to the room we were assigned, also being assigned to another family and my wire was rudely awakened by the arrival into the room by the other family. The matter was resolved by PV during our stay who agreed to refund €250 made via Hotels.com but 3 weeks later I have not seen any credit and no easy way to contact Hotels.com to enquire!

Nice spa, pool, gym, sauna, and steam rooms. Good location for ski rentals, slopes, and supermarche. However, given the 10min walk to Festival and local restaurants, it would be nice if the bar stayed open longer (430pm-9pm), and if there was access to food in the hotel. Family ski trip
Ideal place for a family ski trip. The hotel kids club is a bargain at 100 Euros for they accept are 3 year olds, so for our two year old we used the local nanny service. The ski in ski out is ideal. The hotel is five minutes from the ESF ski school and kids get collected in the mornings by a horse and cart. For younger children it is advisable for an adult to follow the chidden around to help getting them off, skis on and into the ESF.

The hotel was in a beautiful location. We had a stunning view of the mountains. The apartment was so spacious and comfortable. The only drawback is that it is in a smaller village with fewer restaurants than Morzine, but it was so worth it to be able to hike right outside our door. We can't wait to go back!

All would have been great except when we arrived to check in we were told that restaurants, kids area, stores were closed as the resort/hotel was closing the following day for the end of the season. No where during the booking process was this info posted, which it clearly should have been because of resorts isolated location. The reason we booked this place were the various child related activities that were supposedly available so we were greatly disappointed, not to mention that we struggled to find adequate dinning and provisions onsite.

This is a great place to stay in Avoriaz. Most of the other accomodation in the area is of much lower quality. Ski-in, Ski-out, as advertised. Good ski lockers too, which is important.

Spacious and warm
Great apartment. Very well equipped and comfortable. Very warm. Location is good for ski in and out though it is a 10 minute walk to the centre of the resort. In the immediate area there are 2 restaurants which are ok but expensive. The swimming pool was excellent and the water warm. Check in and out was slow. The underground car park was great. No need to drag your luggage through the resort. Overall highly recommended.

Fantastic hotel, lovely views and great weather (great value for a summer stay, but expensive during the skiing season) - very different in the summer, but just as beautiful! Only down side was Avoriaz was very quiet, but Morzine is extremely close and there was definitely plenty to do there!!!

Amazing Resort Hotel in the French Alps!
The resort city of Avoriaz is magical! The hotel resort is on the top of the mountain. This particular resort is FABULOUS!!! We had a 2 bedroom apartment with a kitchen, living room, dining area, large patio with dining table and chairs on 2 floors! There was a separate room with toilet on each floor, and a bathroom with a bath tub/shower, and another bathroom with a shower! The resort is new, clean, and modern. The staff are friendly, helpful, and spoke English beautifully. We went in the summer and had so much to do! This area is known for bike riding and mountain bike riding, mountain running, and hiking. We would take a tram or ski lift to a little village, hike for an hour to another ski lift to go to another area.. etc. In the winter it is a ski area. This place is a FIND!!!!

Lovely luxury resort, great apartment with all the facilities you need, underground parking, chargable, hot shower, comfortable bed, balcony, sauna, steam room, indoor pool, great equipped kitchen but best of all for this time of year was ski in & ski out. We stayed here in July & booked for January requesting a different apartment which we were shown however when we got there they couldn't give us it and only had the same apartment we had in July. It was a great apartment and easy for our dog who ended up being very ill & we had to leave early, much to our disappointment, however the staff on reception couldn't have been nicer & did everything to help us. They waived the dog charge and the parking. Fantastic resort and definitely will return.

Great hotel in mountain resort of avoriaz. Rooms spacious, clean with mini kitchen. Check in was easy. Bar in hotel closes a little early at 8.30pm. Good facilities and great restaurants on site. 10 min walk into centre of avoriaz where there's plenty choice of eating places.

Nice hotel. Very helpful staff. Rooms were large and had breathtaking views. Bit of a walk to the shops but it's at the quiet end of town which is much nicer. This is a truly ski in/ski out location. Also one of the few (the only ?) hotel where cars can reach the hotel (via underground car park) which saves dragging luggage through the snow to your hotel. Free wifi welcome. Unfortunately the English channels on TV wouldn't work but they loaned us free DVDs for the kids to watch in the evening. Only other drawbacks were that dishwasher probably needed a service and the sofa bed was uncomfortable when used as a sofa as the cushions kept sliding off. However these were minor points and would definitely come back again.

Kind of isolated, kind of hard to get to in the first place--but awesome once you're there. Great on site services, great staff, great rooms, right on top of the slopes.

3. There was a lovely bar/ sitting/ reception area. Unfortunately the bar was closed by 7.00 each night so we never got to have a drink.
