Location looks a little rough on the edge, but was in a very good place for reaching everything Starbucks right next-door was very happy with the staff very attentive, even called to make sure we weren’t coming to breakfast before closing it up. Helped with anything we needed room itself could’ve used a little more. We had no hot water in the shower. It would intermittent. Small refrigerator didn’t work. Place itself is very pretty. Beautiful courtyard, tranquil, and safe probably could use a little updating, but would stay there again.

Very unprofessional hotel to go to

We stayed there 2 nights and we were 3 of us and we had to remind them both days about providing complimentary water bottles for all 3 of us. They would only leave 2 bottles. Not enough lights in the room. Very less hot water. There was no way you could shower with cold water. The staff was very rude and trash. We asked for a cup, they said to go get it ourselves. We ordered tea and it came after 40 minutes. So had to wait 40 minutes twice for our tea. The waiters wouldn’t even look at you and ignore you. There was no smile on their face nor we heard thank you from their mouths. They wouldn’t want to turn on the lights where we had breakfast. They said that their boss wanted them to keep the lights turned off. It was too dark in the breakfast area. I do not recommend anyone going there. The owner of the hotel stayed right on the property but never once checked on his staff to see how they were doing. We complained to him during our checkout. I hope hotel.com do not suggest this hotel for their travelers.

very average property. The hotel linen was run down with initially no warm water coming in the taps. Bathroom fitting is below par with the fittings creaking. The breakfast was again a lousy affair with eggs, and bread being the mainstay. After a bit of prod alternative aloo paranthas were offered. The swimming pool shown in the advt is actually a splash pool - again nothing remarkable about this.

The location of hotel was quite convenient with plenty of taxis and autorichshaws I the area. The hotel staff flips a switch just outside the door of the room when they think think you are gone to conserve electricity. The rooms are comfortable.

Found this to be a little far from the places I wanted to see and not many restaurants nearby. Food onsite was just so-so. Nice areas to sit outdoors, but no AC, so room was a bit uncomfortable. Just an OK stay for the price.

Stay was comfortable but services are poor. We ordered them for some services even after menu already agreed and paid for but those food articles were not provided. Also whatever was consumed and left were not returned back.It was just took for granted affair for them. Owners were not all courteous they were around but no exchange of greetings with guests. Is this is what heritage means ?

A lovely hotel ,very relaxing , quiet , and was a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of a days sightseeing . The small pool was clean and cool, and there were sun beds to use. Staff very attentive and friendly. We especially liked the veranda with sofas and comfortable chairs outside the room . We had dinners and breakfasts there and enjoyed them all. Would recommend using the hotels taxi for tours. Poor exchange rate if you are changing cash in hotel !

This place met my expectations. You cannot expect a lot for this price. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was good but I was not a fan of the food from room service. The room was spacious. It could have been a bit cleaner (blankets had a few hairs that did not belong to me) and a bit warmer. We needed to request extra blankets and a heater but they provided this without hesitation.

A lovely hotel not far from the pink city. We were upgraded to a suite room which was lovely with a nice seating area outside the rooms. The courtyard restaurant was lovely with friendly waiters and great food. We would stay here again.

Traditional Haveli-styled Hotel!

We were going to be in Jaipur for just one and half days and had plans of sight-seeing mostly. Hence we were looking at a hotel mainly to crash at night that was decent and reasonable. Suryaa Villa fit the bill. The hotel was an old haveli once upon a time. And they have maintained much of how it must have looked back then.

The room was comfortable. Outside the room was a huge common verandah with chairs and tables, where guests from the other rooms gathered.

The hotel has a pool, but didn't see anyone use it. The restaurant around the pool is good I heard.

We stayed here for three days and we had good meals in the restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The rooms are clean and is the bathroom, we had a very nice shower, the best in India till now. We had two seperate beds, they are a littlebit small, also there is nothing like a cupboard to stall your clothes and stuff. The swimmingpool is very clean, they are cleaning it often. I think this hotel is more than a very good stay in Jaipur!

Good Location, Great Value, Great Staff

Goldilocks hotel. Not too big, not to small, just right. The conditions of the hotel were pretty good. Location was not too far from the Pink City (15-20 min walk) or you can take a rickshaw (there was a stand about 3 min away...not that you can't find one as soon as you exit the hotel but just in case), and the staff was extremely accommodating. We ate, drank, got a car service and had laundry done while staying there. Laundry was returned that same afternoon, the food choices where quite varied, the car service was right on time and you can't really mess up the drinks.

The only drawbacks were the Wi-Fi strength and the small heater. We were on the 3rd floor and the signal was too week so we could only really access the network when we were downstairs. If you are traveling during summer than heat is not the problem and the AC is large and effective. However, as we were traveling in during winter, nights can get cold and the heater was a little too small to heat the room. Yet, having learned this in our previous hotel, where \"AC Available\" does not mean \"Heat Available\", we just asked for some extra blankets presto problem solved.

Otherwise- we would definitively stay there again.

No frills, but a good mid-range choice

Suryaa Villa is a solid choice for budget-minded travelers staying in Jaipur. While the fit and finish of the room was not exactly luxurious, it had all of the necessities; and most importantly, it had hot water! That is not a given for many hotels in this region, in this price range (even if they say they have it). The patio is a relaxing place to have a cup of masala chai, and the staff is quite helpful--they arranged free pick-up for us from the train station at 4:45am, saving us the early morning haggle.

“Peaceful Getaway and a great experience!!”

We (33 and 38) had a great experience at this lovely place in Jaipur. It is like an oasis in the crowded city and a really good place to get new power. The owners and the staff are very friendly and try to fulfill you every wish you have. The Wifi-connection is brilliant. The rooms are very spacious, the air-condition is modern and very good working. The prices are moderate - so, all in all, we can highly recommend this place!!

What a stunning hotel, this was just what we needed in Jaipur.

The rooms are clean and tidy with a great shower (powerful and hot). The traditional Indian features were really nice and the swimming pool was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of Jaipur.

The staff on reception, housekeeping and in the restaurant were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and had a good variety of things.

Pathetic behavior by Hotel Staff

I stayed there for 4 times in last 2 months but this time I came across the reality of this hotel. My room's phone was not working and everytime I had to go down stairs for any trifle requirements. On sunday night I reached at my room around 11PM and came to know there was no drinking water in the jug. So, as usual I came down to reception just to ask them to have me jug of water. One man of about 45-50 years was sitting there. When I asked him to give me water.......his answer was -------

All staff have left....why dont you bring jug along if you want water ???????

WHO WOULD WISH STAY WHERE HOTEL STAFF DO NOT KNOW THE MEANING OF HOSPITALITY ?????????

The service from reception was a bit odd, but was all effective enough. The room was good, generally spotless, the bed comfortable, the bathroom fully functional and with hot water. The included breakfast was generous. Wifi was available and consistently working. The outdoor seating areas were lovely and the opportunity to eat outside in the restaurant was very welcome. We felt that the restaurant's dinner was very decent quality but really far too expensive for what it was. We asked if we could get bottled water for the room and were told we should buy it in the restaurant - suffice to say I'm not a bit fan of over-paying for water and paying a service charge on it! Loved the swimming pool. Anyway, generally we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Great if not on a budget

Overall really nice place to stay. Staff helpful and all facilities you would need are available. Swimming pool for warm weather and air con in room. Rooms spacious, though shower did not operate very well, water was hot. Flat screen TV and hundreds of satellite channels available, telephone in room. Tours available and convenient. Restaurant was very expensive, we opted for included breakfast which was basic, though Paratha's were very tasty! Location is remote from the pink city but that is also a benefit as it was very quiet. Veranda nice for evenings. Overall would recommend but lots of competition in the local area for the price so shop around

Suryaa Villa - Ideal location in Jaipur

We stayed here on 2 occasions at the start and the end of our trip. The rooms second time were much better than the first one. Overall it's a very centrally located both to old city and new city. If you have energy you can walk to city palace, bapu bazaar, johri bazaar etc.

The only thing I would like the hotel to change is - give some hnagers to hang clothes and have gyesers in all rooms rather than only solar water heating especially during winters.

The staff is very attentive. Food is average and somewhat high priced.

An \"oasis\" of tranquility in Jaiour

I staid 2 nights in Jaipur (no need to stay more) at Suryaa Villa and I was extremely satisfied by the hotel.
The room are clean, comfortable and with hot water which is a good combination for India. The hotel is very well located as you can easily go by foot to the pink city (20 min walk) but the main advantage is that it is located in a very calm area. Having a drink without hearing a concert of horns is just priceless in Jaipur.
In addition, the staff is very friendly and willing to help.
A good pick for sure!

The room is OK, but the cover of toilet is broken and bathroom is dirty. I stayed there for two nights. There is no room service (clean) for the second day. The internet usage in the hotel is very expensive. I was charged 120 rupee for 60 minutes.

Nice place to stay when you are planning to visit Jaipur. It's not located in the middle of the centre but everything is just one riskja-ride away. And it's worth the money!

場所が悪くどこからもタクシーかリキシャを使わなければならない。朝食込みだが、まずくえさのようだった。ゆで卵とバナナとトーストとオムレツぐらいで種類もかなり少ない。コーヒーは有料。おまけに早朝出発で準備してもらったらサンドイッチは有料だそうで、頼まなかった。バナナとジュースとゆで卵のみのパンなしの朝食を渡された。おまけに2日目はアメニティも切れていた。トイレは血の染みがあった。店員は商売気が旺盛で法外なタクシーやリキシャをすすめてくる。水を買ったら、お金を渡したにもかかわらずもらってないと取りに来た。エレベーターもなく3階まで登らなければならなかった。朝暗くて電気もなくころんでしまった。

Location is very bad.It is very far from anyplace.Breakfast is not delicious.Stuff is not kind.This hotel doesn't have elavater.Toilet is dirty.I never want to stay this hotel.

連泊しました。オーナーの奥様の計らいで大きめの部屋を私たにあてがうように従業員に言っておいて下さったそうです（後々に聞きました）。部屋は女性3人が各自スーツケースを広げてもスペースがあるような充分な広さの部屋でお風呂場とトイレもとても清潔でした。お風呂場は気をつけないとお湯がトイレにかかってしまうので注意が必要です。ここのレストランを常に利用しましたが、外国人宿泊者が多いので味付けも辛いものが苦手な私でも食べられるように言わなくても辛さを調整してくれました（辛いものが好きな方は辛くして！と言った方が良いかもしれません）。メニューも沢山あり、どれを食べても安心して食べられました（味・値段共に）。下手に街のレストランで食べるよりこのホテルで食べた方が安心で安全だと感じました。美味しかったです。余談ですが、インド系の友人がオーナーの奥様と現地語で雑談してみて、とても良心的な方だと言っていたのと、部屋の清潔さ、ホテルのレストランの味/値段を総合的に判断してもおすすめのホテルです。チェックアウト後も荷物を無料で預かってくれます（安心して預けられます）。更にこれも余談ですが、ホテルの前の通りの入り口を背にして左に２−３分進むとVishal Sareesというサリー屋さんが飲食店のような所の隣にあります。バーゲン品の服が外にかけてあるのですぐわかると思いますが、オーナーのおじさんがとても良い方でおすすめです。私はビーズやスパンコールが沢山ついたような服は好まないのでシンプルなものを探して沢山購入しましたがゆっくり吟味できてどれも良心的な値段でさらにちょっとまけてもらいました。大きなお店ではないですが、近隣にあったモールより安価で服の裁縫も普通に大丈夫で、ニューデリーで交渉（購入）に疲れたのと日本人だからとふっかけられる事もないので安心して購入でき、スルヤヴィラから歩いていける距離にあるのでこのサリー屋さんも下手にお土産さんに行くよりおすすめします。Suryaa VillaとVishal SareesのおかげでJaipurの滞在がとても素敵なものになりました。女性一人でも宿泊しても安心できるようなホテルです。かなりおすすめです。

Really recommend to stay at Suryaa Villa. The room was very clean, safe and the owner and staff were very nice. Their restaurant offers variety of food and they make it less spicy without asking them so. Nothing was needed to worry staying at this hotel. A few min to the left from the entrance of the hotel street is a sari shop called Vishal Sarees where we found the owner man very humble too. I am not much a fun of sparkly stuff and I ended up buying many items from there. Recommend to stay at this hotel and make a visit to this sari place for souvenir too.

Lovely oasis in chaotic city

Loved the fact that this hotel is based 50-100m from the road, which meant that you had an oasis to enjoy outside - without the chaos of Jaipur.

Rooms are nice, wifi and kable works fine, staff nice and helpful with good English skills, restaurant makes pretty decent food at reasonable prices.

The pool however is placed in shade and is not really an option, and at night hot water can be scares.

despite this, we would both recommend this hotel and stay again :-)
