Convenient Hotel for Short Stay
The room was tiny but very clean and well set out. There was a deep bath, good shower pressure, modern toilet, self-defogging mirror, good sized king single bed (booked a single room), TV, kettle, humidifier, trouser press, etc, etc. Breakfast was included. It's self serve but there's two staff members on hand to help out. Free drink station is available for most of the night too.

南海本線堺駅の南口から徒歩３，４分。途中にコンビニあり。目の前がバスターミナルでもあり、それぞれを利用する人には便利。部屋は清潔で、出張目的で寝るだけ、シャワーを浴びるだけであれば特に問題なし。横を南海本線が走っているが、防音がしっかりされており気にならない。朝食はやや改善の余地あり。米、味噌汁、のり、納豆、生卵といった和食系はなく洋食系でいまひとつ。例えばパイナップル、マンゴーが凍っていて、おいしく食べられなかったのは残念。フロントの対応はチェックイン時、チェックアウト時共に良好。

今まで堺に仕事で来るといつも堺東駅前に宿泊していましたが今回初めて堺駅近くのコンフォートにしました。便利だったのが堺駅の南口から徒歩2～3分にホテルがあり、ホテルまではガード下を歩いて来れるので雨が降っても支障がなかったです。10年以上前にホテル南海時代に宿泊したことがありますが内装も一新され従業員の対応も良く、無料朝飯は東横インと比べると数段ひゅう実していました。

アメリカのコンフォートホテルを思い出しました。
一人で宿泊しましたが、最初アメリカで泊まったことのあるコンフォートホテルのチェーンとは知りませんでした。マークを見て、ホテルの人に確認しましたが、アメリカでもお世話になりました。ホテルの部屋も良いのですが、一人旅をしていて助かるのは朝食です。サラダがあり、おにぎりやおかず、更にはみそ汁と、適度の種類と量でした。また、ロビーでは無料のコーヒーもあり、アメリカ風のホスピタリティが感じられました。関西空港にも近く便利でした。

出張で1泊滞在しました。堺駅からも近く、初めて足を運んだ街でしたが、ホテルまで迷うことなくたどり着けました(笑) 部屋も清掃が行き届いており大変清潔でした。ウェルカムドリンクや、無料の朝食を案内頂きましたが、今回はどちらも利用することは有りませんでしたが、次回宿泊時には是非利用してみたいと思います。
