We had a great stay at the Denville Hampton Inn. It was the perfect location for our stay for a fun family surprise birthday in downtown Denville. The room was spacious with a king size bed, microwave oven, fridge. The breakfast was super. Waffles fresh made, bagels, breads, fruit, pastries, oatmeal, eggs cooked and hard boiled. Coffee, Tea. Really put together well.

This was an absolute last resort hotel because I don't like to support companies that work with ICE, which has famously been Hilton. However, driving across the country with pets, options can be limited. Being the last night, it was extremely nice to have a 12pm check out time. However, it was not super nice to have house keeping asking me if I was checking out that day when it was 11:30. We definitely slept in longer than intended but it was really off putting to feel like we are inconveniencing the staff when we aren't doing anything wrong. Not only that but the house keeping person parked her carts right outside of our door, not making it any easier to move quickly. I spoke with the front desk person (Chuck) about this and he apologized and reassured me that I had plenty of time. Upon checking out, we had a nice conversation that left me feeling better about the stay but it's a hard pass from here on out. Extra money can go to a better stay with higher moral standards.

We stayed here 2 nites for a wedding. This was in a lovely residential neighborhood and close to many places to eat. The room was very big and we had a sofa and a desk lots of light. Bathroom was large and well stocked. Parking was free. They had filtered water machine in the lobby. And 24/7 coffee. Breakfast was very good. Eggs were fresh and oatmeal was gluten free. The fitness room was the largest I’ve seen -2 treadmills and nice area to do Pilates and mats. Pool looked great. this hotel was very quiet. Several weddings were staying here.

Day of my stay there was a seminar of some sort with kids. Zero control. Screaming, running, loud, at breakfast no manners and unfortunately staff allowed it all. They were the important guests but us that just wanted a peaceful night could not. Just for informational, the pillows are absolutely horrendous as well.

So my stay started with a leak in the shower that allowed a lot of water to escape the shower. It looked like a gasket between the doors was not all the way on. I told the front desk and maintence fixed it. I assume.
I say assume bc that night my toilet backed up. I called the front desk at 845 pm. I was asked if i wanted a plunger. I said \"Sure as long as a maintence person comes with\". She said no maintenance or maid service available at night. So i switched to another room. It was a pain to move all my things, as i was staying for 5 days and was completely unpacked. And it wss a double queen instead of a king.
Around 10 pm i fell asleep. At 1145 pm my room phone rang, waking me completely out
Of a sound sleep. The girl said \"Are you in room 121 or 128. 128 was the old room. I said \"Did you call 121?\" She said \"yes\" and i snapped back \"Well i guess im in 121 right?\"
Why in the hell would the desk call at that late hour to ask me that? No common sense at all.
So i have now been trying to talk to Hilton about it. I just called customer service. After waiting at least 20 minutes to talk to a specialist, i was disconnected.

Hotel is very outdated. Just didn’t feel very clean. First room the bathroom sink didn’t drain, microwave didn’t work and the phone chargers were on the table across from beds (not on nightstand). Second room the shower pressure was off, one of phone charging ports was broke, bathroom sink didn’t drain and so on! No comfort height toilets in either room. Outside grounds were not kept up. Had my dog with me and the dog poop bins were full the whole time (6 days)! Breakfast wasn’t very good and hot water was never hot or tasted like coffee when I had made tea!! Overall I would not recommend this hotel.

This is a very welcoming hotel. I need a stop over on my way from New York to Chicago and this hotel was able to accommodate me last minute. Moreover, the front desk attendant upgraded my room and was very kind to me, knowing that I was in need of some rest from driving. The breakfast was simple, but the coffee was hot and the service was impeccable.

The rooms aren’t cleaned properly. They do not use bleach and have a serious mold issue in the bathrooms. The faucets/water pressure is awful and the beds are old with pillows that might as well not be there they are so flat.

Surprisingly good! The reviews said not to judge by the exterior and they are right!! Once you step inside - you find nicely decorated and comfortable rooms. Very clean and easy to check in and out without having to stop at the front desk. Friendly communication by text and questions were addressed easily.

No knowledge about Hilton Honors of which I am a member! Beds are very comfortable. That is my honest review.

My only issue is we had to leave a day early because to get home before a Nor’easter hit our area. We paid for 2 days but we’re not offered a refund or maybe a coupon to stay at a different time. Kinda disappointed with that.

No laundry machines on site, pool was not working, have to be out of the room by 7 am to get room service, water is very chlorinated (had to get bottled water for drinking), mini fridge did not work (neither did the replacement), no vent in the bathroom causing the whole room to become very humid and full of bathroom smell, one could get stuck in the bathroom when the bathroom door was closed all the way as it came off rails and would not open, hair conditioner was not refilled, coffee and hot water dispensers in the lobby were cold by noon (thankfully a Dunkin shop is within walking distance).A frequent Hampton Inn guest, will find this location to be well below an average Hampton Inn level of service
