High ceiling room with old world charm, waking up to the sound of wave, walk into ocean from the villa, attentive staffs, well maintained sites and the food was amazing across all restaurants, only if the weather could be a bit better, this wouldn’t been the trip of lifetime, will definitely come back in a non- raining season. And thank you Dusit Thani, this is indeed “ the land of heaven”!

Maldives meets White Lotus. Dusit Thani was a dream destination. The lush vegetation and beautifully kept grounds were paradise. Although there were a ton of things to do (restaurants and activities), we chose to do absolutely nothing but relax and soak in the beauty of the island. The staff and service are 5 star. The food was so fresh and delicious. I would definitely return for a longer stay.

This review is written for fellow professional and frequent travelers who know what true five-star service looks and feels like.

We recently stayed at Dusit Thani Maldives and had an exceptional experience that truly stands out, even among other five-star island resorts.

We booked the Over Water Villa with Pool, which we highly recommend for its generous layout, serene privacy, and direct access to the house reef.

From the moment we arrived, we were in excellent hands with our butler, Mona (Gulnoza). She was incredibly responsive, reliable, and proactive—anticipating needs before we voiced them and ensuring every detail of our stay was seamless.

Dining was a highlight. The Sea Grill restaurant impressed us with both its culinary finesse and hospitality. A special mention to the grill chef whose skills elevated every dish, and to Slyp (Mohamed) for his exceptional service—warm, attentive, and consistently professional.

We also had the pleasure of dining at Benjarong, Dusit Thani’s signature Thai restaurant, led by Rungnapa. Her deep knowledge of food and beverage, coupled with an evident passion for genuine hospitality, made each visit memorable. She’s a standout professional in every sense.

Lastly, breakfast at The Market was a daily delight. While the variety and freshness of offerings were excellent, what made it even better was the gracious service from Shahina and Ahmed—always welcoming, efficient, and personable.

The trip was so smooth and stress free with all the preparations organised by the hotel ( airport transfer, the lounge( five star) . The island was very relaxing, the villa was amazing my daughter had the best time. I love it all small details in everything , I request some treats in the room as it was my daughter surprise holiday after finish uni, they went above and beyond. The housekeeping team was so genius with the setting. The ladies in the spa…. OMG!!!! They have fairy hands, after one hour massage, I fell in heaven.
The pool staff was so welcoming and friendly, but the cherry on top of the cake was my amazing butler Saeed very attentive and helpful. I feel it really special was such an amazing experience overall, I truly recommend it!! I already did to my family and friends. And if opportunity comes in future I would come back for sure.
To all the staff thank you soo much, more blessings to all.

Very unique experience. Snorkeling was excellent, even saw a whale shark while snorkeling. Scuba was luxury service and great marine life. Staff was great. Room was fantastic. Would recommend this property very highly.

Amazing and wonderful place, we'd been in more than 50 countries worldwide, but never received such warm and service quality. Staff is over the top; you can immediately notice that they genuinely care about you and your wellbeing. We were 12 people (3 families) and initially booked for 5 days, in day 2, the consensus was to extend for 6 more days!

There are tons of activities, the villas are super clean, well decorated and contain everything you might need, food is fantastic (variety and quality).

Thank you very much dears Adam, Samih, Faisal and Mona. 😍

Being there is like living a dream in a paradise, but certainly, there is one awful thing?: Eventually, you will have to come back to reality.

Give it a try: You will not regret!

We're very picky travellers and we say; everything about this place is breathtaking, we don't know what to start with...

Adam, our butler, went out of his way, over and beyond any expectations, we felt he was family to us by the end of the trip...

Monty, Khaled and whole dive center team were more than excellent, they guided and taught us everything we need to know about diving, took us to fantastic places and saw a million and one species Also, Watt, the resort general manager was spectacular and gave us a show of our lives diving with turtles..

Thomas, the resort manager was very hospitable and made sure our needs were all attended to..

Restaurant/Bar teams were amazing, beyond expectations, food was 5 star quality, drinks were exquisite and very well made... do not pass on the inclusive package, it was well worth every penny spent... a shout out to all the names I remember (very sorry, but there's many more that I cannot recall); Obbs, Safwan, Bob, Rabeeu, Mohamed, Saeed and many many more that put much more than a smile on our faces every day)

The chief engineer gaveus a tour of their facilities (generators, staff living areas, recycling facilities, water stations and more), they absolutely impressed us with their eco-friendliness (they make their own drinking still & sparkling water on site, which is mind blowing)

I'm out of words, but I can go on for ages about this place; \"do not miss out on this bucket list treasure!\"

Dusit Thani Maldives is a spectacular resort. We stayed in a over the water bungalow that was clean, modern, comfortable and beautiful. Naan our butler was absolutely awesome and took great care of every need all the way down the PCR covid test when we were leaving to sea plane scheduling. Aside from the buffet which wasn't very good, room service, the thai restaurant and sand bar were all amazing and had reasonably priced food and drinks. Definitely one of the best bucket list locations. Can't wait to go back.

Dusit Thani is sooo amazing! Everything was honestly perfect. From our welcome to our departure, we felt pampered. Our care taker Adam was just perfect, he wasn't hovering over us but he made sure to check in with us to make sure we were okay and when we wanted to do any activity, he was quick to set it up with no hesitation. The food was great, all the staff and chefs were super nice and welcoming and MOST especially we LOVED the Spa! The masseuses had magical hands. Our Villa was beautiful, spacious and perfect. All in all, Dusit Thani is a 10/10.

Dusit Thani Maldives is indeed a paradise itself! The whole resort with its top-notch staff made our stay more special and memorable! They have fresh sea food from all the restaurants and they also help protect the environment with its sustainable resources, like its “The Nam “ water). The Ocean Dive Center within the resort have a variety of activities, and our favorite is snorkeling. Special mention to Naan, our butler. He is very friendly and excellent customer service. The resort was spectacular, focusing heavily on guest experience and making sure each and every guest enjoy their stay. Our butler, Shamoon, went all out to provide us the most comfortable stay we have ever had. He assisted with planning all of our activities, booking whatever was necessary and giving a good introduction that we never had to worry. Food was amazing, especially Benjarong, the famous Thai restaurant perched over the sea. This resort focuses on Thai-centric hospitality and we certainly felt it every single day of our stay. We booked the all-inclusive and were stuffed so full with the freshly prepared food. Every single meal felt like a 5 star experience. We tried one night at the Beach King Villa and were already wowed. 4 nights we were at the Ocean Villa and it was out of the world. We would certainly patronise the Dusit Thani brand of hotels and come back to Maldives in future!

Gem in Baa Atoll

We have been to many resorts in the Maldives over the years particularly in Baa Atoll. Dusit hospitality is one of the best in the area and the you will not be disappointed with the food selection and quality. Being a spa junkie, we visited the spa twice during our stay and the Thai masseuse were excellent. The water sports centre offers a wide selection of activities and a friendly crew to meet your every need. If I had to say something that didnt really meet my expectations, it was probably the arrival jetty, but then again, don’t judge a book by its cover. We had a great time at Dusit Thani and will visit again.

I honestly can't say enough good things about Dusit Thani Maldives. We just returned from 14 magical nights at this wonderful resort and it exceeded all our expectations. The staff go out of their way every single day to ensure you are getting the most from your trip and we found many times they went above and beyond their duties to give us a perfect holiday. From delivering off-menu healthy juices every morning at breakfast, to making specialty dish recommendations at the signature Benjarong Thai restaurant, we were treated like individuals and valued guests at every opportunity. We were even treated, unexpectedly to a private beach BBQ on one of our final nights which, like everything else, was executed flawlessly.
In addition to the service at this resort the accommodation and facilities are all excellent. Our villa was spacious and thoughtfully laid out, complete with a large basket of fresh fruit and a bottle of champagne on ice when we arrived. We felt at home within minutes and would have been happy to stay for much longer!
The watersports at Dusit Thani are exceptional, with the famous Hanifaru Bay only a short boat ride away they offer an 'on-call' manta ray snorkeling trip which ensures they only take you out if mantas have already been spotted in the bay. Not to mention turtles and so many different fish on the house reef and dozens of dolphins swimming close to shore.
We were given the most unforgettable holiday of our lives and we wouldn't change a thing!

The stay in Dusit Thani is exceptional. For the price paid for, you are getting a five-star service with a personal attendant to assist any needs that arises during the stay.
Would recommend to go closer to the peak season as the weather and waves would be much calmer than in June period when it is transitioning to their wet season.

Best hospitality ever!

Our stay in Dusit Thani Maldives was nothing short of breathtaking and memorable. From the seamless check in at the international terminal to the sea plane to the warm reception hosted by the butlers and the general manager. Food was excellent, hospitality was sincere, honest and warm, equipments at the dive centre was new and updated.

Special thanks to Ding from the dive centre who was patient, reassuring and comforting as we took to the ocean to discover the wonderful underwater world. Pu from Benjarong who displayed the best of Thai hospitality. She made sure we had enough and was so thoughtful to offer us an off menu item as we were wistfully yearning for grilled meats. Her pre-emptive hospitality is truly a gem in the service industry. Naori, our cheerful and resourceful butler who showed us what a fantastic combination of Japanese and Thai hospitality is all about.

Thank you Dusit Thani for a wonderful stay, indelible memories and for making Maldives truly a paradise on Earth for us!

Beyond honeymoon, authentic Thai hospitality

We loved the whole stay, from the seaplane transfer to the gorgeous water and incredible Thai food. All the staff, including our incredibly dignified butler, Sinan, were so friendly, and we really enjoyed interacting with everyone daily. The Thai chef cooked us special off the menu Isaan style dishes: mindblowing! The marine life at the protected island is extraordinary, a perfect place for people who love diving and being in the water; we also enjoyed the tennis court and the charming bicycles! Spa is first rate. Be aware that most of the guests are honeymooners from PRC and Korea: my husband and I, who recently celebrated 9 years of marriage, were definitely outside of the typical demographic! The dive center is less serious than the rest of the resort: Yun and Yoonus are great DMs, but the sports center is under new management since June, and they no longer teach free diving, which was a disappointment for me.

Honeymoon - Way above expectations!

It was an absolute perfection.. Staff was great (we were grateful to Nizam mainly), foods were impressive - thai restaurant is strongly recommended -.

You spend the whole time like you totally own that island. As far as we know, there are around 90 rooms and the hotel was almost full when we were there. However, it was almost impossible to see anybody while you're walking around or riding the bike. The isolation was settled perfectly. You only see staff when you need them. You demand and they serve whenever and wherever it's needed.

I've been to 100+ hotels around the world so far and I may put the service of Dusit's staff to my top 5.

We'll definitely try to other Dusit hotels to see if this is was a Maldives-specific experience. It was way above the expectations and what was heard about Maldives, so just try to stay at this hotel at once and understand the reason why we loved this place.

Highly recommend this hotel. It was so nice to stay water villa with pool. You could hear sounds of wave and feel sea breeze at your room. The island is very beautiful and have lots of facilities like tennis court, the biggest pool and water center. I snorkeling every day and went to our private pool. It was a great experience.

We went to another island after that. Although it was more expensive than Dusit Thai, the overall experience cannot beat here

An excellent resort and superb house reef

I went their with my wife to celebrate my birthday. Overall excellent experience and the service was impeccable. Very friendly staff that try their best to satisfy. Our butler Muhey was amazing and did all he could to make our stay memorable. We had a problem on arrival where our seaplane was delayed and the management made every possible effort to make it up for us.
My only remark is that the breakfast buffet could be richer but this is definitely a minor comment compared to the overall experience.

Beautiful ocean villa was the highlight. There are only 3 restaurants - one of which was great (Thai food). Beaches are small but the coal reef around the island makes up for it with amazing snorkelling! Most impressive part of the entire island is how eco-friendly the staff and hotel is.

Dusit Thani Maldives has been the best vacation my wife and I has ever taken. The staff are extremely friendly. The over water villa was absolutely breathtaking. The food at Benjarong which is their Thai restaurant was excellent. The massages at their spa was incredible. There is really nothing to complain about.
If you are thinking about this place, just STOP and do it! You will not regret it. The only thing I can tell you is that this place will ruin any other beach vacation you will ever experience.

We spent 10 days at the Dusit Thani in 2016. Hotel staff were overall excellent. A minor hiccup and minor annoyances so could not give 5's on everything. Definitely would recommend this place as they were extremely responsive when I was booking and after. Staff went above and beyond to do special things for us that we had not requested. All staff remembered our names from day 1 and where aware of our preferences from the first minute. They were helpful but not intrusive. Food was excellent. They have 3 restaurants and even room service food was excellent. The dive center staff were also extremely helpful and are a great asset. I was surprised by the number of children but the design means you rarely felt the place was crowded. In fact, even with the place at full occupancy, other than breakfast time, we felt we were still very secluded.

Paradise has been found!

My husband and I spent our 5-day honeymoon at the resort and it was just fantastic! We were taken care of the moment we got off our seaplane by our fantastic butler Riyaz, who was always a moment away from anything we needed. The staff were extremely friendly and catered to our every needs; we were also grateful to our fellow countrymen Alam and Anamul who gave us tips around the island and even took my husband snorkeling.

The resort consists of beach, water and ocean villas, most of which come with their own pool. The ocean and water villas offer infinity pools and simply stunning views of the surrounding reef and ocean, while the beach gives you access to the brilliant sand. We stayed in all three and they are quiet, clean and spacious. If you have the budget, you MUST opt for the ocean villa - just beautiful!

Food options are plenty: opt for one of the barbecues (by the beach at night), or a 'lagoon lunch' in knee deep water surrounded by curious fish. These two options are pricey (as is the spa- our most expensive activity), so if you want something cheaper you can always go a la carte (or order in) from three restaurants: Sea Grill, The Market, and their signature Thai joint, Benjarong. Yes, all three have attached bars!

My husband and I were sad to leave Dusit Thani but we left with wonderful memories. Highly, highly recommended!

We arrived and felt right away in a fairy tale, out of this world. Our water villa with private pool and snorcheling right under us, with plenty of reef fish, espresso maker in the room and turndown service in the evening, was just amazing. You get your own butler, who really pampers you...
All restaurants with a top quality and variety of dishes for all religions and nations. I know what I am talking about, being owner of a 4**** hotel myself. I am already a rescue diver, but my wife made her advanced diving course with a very professional set up of dive shop with caring teachers. No mass diving, all individual dive tours. we were a little unlucky with the weather, but on the other side, this forced us to really relax, have massages in y asiatic decorated SPA, read and watch gorgeous sunsets .
We can highly recommend this Luxury resort. Stay minimum 7 days if you can...

Ideal resort !

Blue Sky and Ocean, White beach. Its scenery is like a picture.
With 30mins boat riding, you can reach manta rays living zone
and enjoy swimming with them surprisingly with snorkeling!

Extraordinarily beautiful beach holiday.

The island and facilities: fantastic. Service: brilliant. Snorkelling and diving: probably the best in the Maldives. I can't imagine you can find a better place to relax, swim, and enjoy some down time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Fantastic natural environment, nice view, amazing starry night, colorful and lively coral and various fish species. Comfy and spacious room with modern facilities and border less view of sunrise and sunset in water villa. Staffs are friendly, helpful and cheerful. Great location with seaplane access. Dolphins cruise and sunset fishing are great experience. Definitely a great choice for the gateway to Maldives.

Water and resturant

In this 5 stars hotel there was no pure n still water in rooms! And we dont like the local water. And to buy still water we were charging 15$ for a 750 ml bottle of water.
Also price of resturant was so high and we had no choice else except the redturants in hotel.

Enjoy a great honeymoon trip

Hotel staff are cleaning your room twice per day, the room is really clean even will put the water bottle beside your bed in evening time. and the staff there are very nice and very warming, it continue the good tradition of thai culture of the way they treat their friend and customer. Only the Sea plane arrangement need to improve, other than this everything is fantastic

Wonderful location

We cannot believe how refreshed we feel after just four nights at Dusit Thani. The peace, the scenery, the service and wonderful food all made it special. We cycled round the island on the complimentary bikes. We strolled along the white, white sand and snorkelled in the clear waters around the island, seeing turtle and numerous different species of fish. The ocean villas are very private and the beds extremely comfortable. We were well looked after by all the staff and cannot wait to go back.

Fantastic snorkelling and absolutely amazing staff

We stayed at Dusit Thani maldives for 11 nights over Christmas 2012 for our honeymoon. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone.

The staff were exceptional and we could not have asked for more. We got to know everyone from the general manager, Desmond, to the local band. They were all there to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

The 3 restaurants were all fantastic and we didn't get sick of them at all. We particularly enjoyed the thai food at benjarong. Buffet breakfast was outstanding with every dish you could think of and they were happy to make you anything else you wanted too! The head chef, James, was a lovely Australian guy who was always keen to hear our suggestions. Drinks were extremely reasonable with buy one get one free happy hours making beers $3 and cocktails $6.50!!! Cheaper than at home!

The snorkelling around the island is like nothing we had seen before. So many fish just off our balcony. The marine biologist, Lauren, is an absolutely fantastic girl who is so passionate about the island and is available to go on snorkelling tours. She is just a lovely girl!

We just can't say enough positive about the island and we hope that they continue to do such a great job...
