The room and bed are just in the fine category. The bathroom and shower are a disaster, with broken shower head and leaking/running toilet. The lighting in bathroom is horrible.

It's a nice place. With good location and nice restaurant. I had booked my partner in to one of the newer rooms. She had complained to the reception about having. O TV signal for night time and the WiFi being really bad but no one came to fix her TV and she had no TV all night and WiFi might as well have been non existent. Apart from this it is generally a nice place to stay.

Not great for a family of 4!

We booked this place as a stop gap. We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children. The best available room was a room with 3 single beds and a mattress on the floor. We took it. We checked in early, and after being shown a double room (the receptionist didn't look at our booking!), we arrived at our triple room but with no extra mattess. We asked about this and were told one would be brought up later. We went out had dinner and returned 4 hours later to put the children to bed only to find no extra mattress. I went to reception and ended up being asked by the security guard to help him carry the mattress up to the room, he also gave me a sheet to carry, with which I made my own bed!
To add to this the door to the bathroom was extremely squeaky and woke everyone up every time someone used the loo in the night.
And finally they tried to charge us again for the extra mattress as we checked out!

Comfortable and accessible

The resort was easy to find as it is situated along the road and there was a signage indicating the name of the place. We felt comfortable during our stay. There were also stores selling food and necessities nearby. The shops were accessible as we have our own motorcycle. However, the flow of water coming from their shower is weak. Despite that, we enjoyed our stay and will visit again if given the chance.

Disappointed with the housekeeping service

Myself and my fiance stayed here and the location was great and the view was fantastic. Great place for diving just walk in and dive as im a deep sea diver myself so this place was great and the staff were very friendly but the bed linen was not changed only made up again I told them that we needed new bed linen bit they always just make up the beds again. I had put a towel on the bottom of the door to stop cockroaches coming in and to my shock they just came in and stepped over the towel and didn't even pick up The towels and Did not leave new ones until I asked them for some and some soap too. The bed was very dirty and both myself and my fiance were itching from the bed bugs in the bed and the linen and the pillow cover was all stained we had to put our t shirts on the pillows to cover the stains.I am very disgusted with this place.

Come here for stinky rooms!

First room was soooo smelly we had to switch. But initially wanted to resolve with only aerosol when there was an obvious plumbing problem. I paid for a room for three but got only one bed and hotel wouldn't even give me a cot.

The location was good since it is along the high way. The market is just a 10 minutes walk which was a good exercise. The staff were friendly. However, they can't provide hot water if you want to drink coffee early in the morning. The room was not well kept. They say Wifi is available but can't actually connect.

Worn and tired room

The only plus is that it is close to the beach and pool is clean. The rest of the hotel is run down and needs some serious attention. There is a restaurant and the food was ok. The location, except for it closeness to the beach if a bit out of the way, though a tricycle ride can take you into town. It was difficult to take a good shower, since the shower head was clogged and just a trickle of water would come out. The towels can only be described as disgusting.

Gateway to Osmena Peak & Kawasan Falls

The Resort is Great because it has a Covered Swimming Pool and Free Wifi. It has a restaurant. It also offers scuba diving service. It is 5 mins away from Dalaguete Market.

The reason we stayed here because it is only 30 mins to Osmena Peak, where it is the highest point in Cebu. The view was amazing in the top.

If you want to go to Kawasan Falls, it is 1 hour using Dalaguete - Alegria Route. If you want the jump off point for Canyoneering, it is on the same route, about 40 minutes.

The resort needs updating on their rooms facilities. The pool should have more lighting at night.

But over all you have value for your money.

The room had a smell, stain on the walls, thick dirt on the window, the bathroom wasn't clean, the towels are old thousand times washed thin and faded. The bar had no alcohol (or just communication problems with the personal) and they are closed at 9 pm.
The pool was Ok, the view from the terrace is great.
The security guard was a friendly guy.

This is a nice hotel. The rooms are no frills and quite basic, but the price is excellent for hot running water, clean bathroom and air conditioning. It was freshly painted so it felt very clean. It was very good value for money.

Ok stay - rooms need to be updated

For an ocean-front resort, I had actually expected more from the rooms, but I guess that all depends on where in the resort your room is located. They were doing some renovations & construction on the rooms closer to the reception area, which is a different group of rooms. I stayed in a standard room located on the farther end of the resort, which is next to the swimming pool area. The rooms here are older, and they are not as clean as expected. You could tell especially with the bathrooms that this is the older part of the resort. The room I stayed in was very basic but at least it had an AC which made for a comfortable enough stay. Wifi did work very well in the room and all over the resort.

The good thing about the resort is that it has a restaurant, making it convenient for breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack here, in case I didn’t feel like going to the center of town. The food was ok, but the girl who served me during breakfast & dinner was extremely friendly & helpful. As a matter of fact, instead of the front desk, it was her who actually found me a habal-habal driver who could take me up to Osmeña Peak. That way, the driver could pick me up from the resort so that I didn’t have to take a tricycle or pedicab to the street where the habal-habal drivers were waiting for tourists who wanted to go up to Osmeña Peak. It was her who actually made my stay here pleasant as we ended up chatting a bit.

room was terrible, i got a room where there was no windows and highway was behind the wall.. all night motorcycles were revving up behind wall. bathroom was dirty, very low water pressure, no towels and toiletpaper when we got the room. after asking they brought towels with holes in it and hard as a sandpaper. bedsheets had holes in it. just terrible!

the room we got was very small and filthy there was no hot water the sheets has stain on it pillow cases looks like it has never been wash for a year the door does not lock so anyone can get in the room without knowing has no camera around, their wifi only last for less than 10hrs so you have to go to the front desk and ask for a voucher. we went out for a while and got to the hotel late when we get there the were no space for parking only 3 cars can accomodate their inside parking the rest has to find their own.

Room allocated was wrong but it only took 15 min to get right room.
Shower was cold with only water dribbling from shower. It took maintenance man 4 days to fix. He came every day and changed something different until he found the cause. He never check to see if OK. . It took me getting so annoyed with no good showers to get someone who could fix it. Last 3 days were better than first 4 days. Room is now good for next guests.

Budget resort. Easy to find. Located onm highway.

For the money, it was decent value. The room was large, but had no window. There was traffic noise in the room because there is was a busy street/highway on the other side of the room wall. The food at the restaurant was fine. The front desk staff and waitress should be trained to be more friendly and welcoming. I was unable to log on to the free wifi throughout the resort.

Budget resort

This is the definition of budget resort. Resort was right on the water, but far from everything. Not walking distance to anything and no free wifi in the rooms as advertised. Only free wifi in the resraurant area and it did not work that well. When we checked in they gave us an upgraded Captains room because they had not received our reservation from Expedia for some reason, but we did not know it was upgraded until we were switched to the inferior standard room. We booked here because there were jetted tubs advertised on Expedia, but they told us none of the rooms have that any more. When they switched us to a standard room on the second day, it did not have a refrigerator as advertised so we had to complain to the front desk to get them to bring us a small fridge. The private beach was dirty and we did not go into the water, but the resort had a covered pool that wasn't too bad but like almost all pools in the Philippines it was not heated and the attached jacuzzi was also not heated without bubbles. The restaurant on site was pretty good, but not well stocked. The Baby back ribs and pork chop plate were really good, but no fries after the first night and no garlic rice after the second night. When checking out they were not able to get us a cab, but there is a bus that passes by just outside and took us to the Cebu terminal for only 105 pesos each instead of the 1280 peso cab ride which the cab drivers don't like to do because they have no return fare. Overall recommended.

okay but not again..

The first room given to us was comfortably small but bathroom smells dank. One of the staff tried to spray Lysol to cover it up. We just have to have an upgrade. The next one we got was a larger room. It was reasonably clean but it seems that you have to ask housekeeping to do your room if you want it tidy up. At least that's what happened to us.

The resort was nice but the beach was dirty. Saw a lot of debris - plastic bag, baby diaper, a dinner plate... It can get very noisy too as day users are allowed to use the facilities. And they can get really loud with. The swimming pool is not clean - water looks murky. My fiance pushed me into the pool and I had the honor of swallowing a little bit of the \"salty\" pool water.

The restaurant is good. They actually have good food. But then again, it's the only restaurant in the area that we can find. At least, the only place where we would want to eat.

Arrived early afternoon, check in time advertised as 1pm, and had to wait 2 hours for the room to be ready. Had a disappointing lunch in restaurant, of burger which was raw in the middle.

The rest of the stay and meals were OK. They only had a couple of local foods on the menu, most of the food is western type.

Very quiet and relaxing place to stay.

It was a really bad experience: No rooms ready to use because they were wrong booking. The new room provided had no windows, looks like a garage. Next day we transfer to other without tin. We washed our teeth in the kitchen! And the restaurant inside the hotel in the same line, slow service and low quality. I wouldn't recommend neither my worst enemy!

This was our second stay at Ocean Bay. The hotel isn't prefect, but there aren't many choices in the area, and this seemed to be the best, even though it was a 90 minute drive to see the people we were visiting in the mountains near Sibonga. The hotel has decent rooms at different rates, and a few older rooms. On a previous stay, we were put in their 'family room' for one night, which was old and had a nasty bathroom. This time we were in the newer building with the economy rooms, which are clean and up to date. The restaurant has decent value and edible food, which is very important in a deep province. The worst part of this hotel is the beach, which has shallow water and the bottom is covered with weeds and rocks. No thanks. Fortunately, there is also a clean swimming pool, with a roof over it to protect from the intense sun. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful, but are not on duty 24 hours. There is a guard on duty for basic assistance at night. I would stay at Ocean Bay again.

Hotel w beachfront.....close to main road

Staff are v helpful n courteous. Garden is beautiful. Place is serene and quiet during our stay. Location good as it is on main road, close to town. However, water from tap is salty (? Sea water), studio room w v dim spotlights. Toilet lack of ventilation. No cooking facilities even though equipped w kitchenette and no complimentary water.

It's very nice my room near at the beach

Only thing I don't like is the c.r when I going to take abath the shower is not working.hehehe the front desk very helpful she take out the shower sprinkle so that the water come out... I love the room very comfort to sleep I will come back again and stay for long next time. Tnx by the way to the front desk who assist us...

“Check out its sea-life at the House Reef !”

We were a party of 7 persons touring Cebu Island. We stopped here for 1 night. The rooms are spacious and ours smelt new too. The air-con and the showers worked perfectly. The bed was comfortable and king-size!
What was most amazing was actually the snorkelling at the House Reef. The corals were good and thriving. Water visibilty was good at more than 10 metres! But the little creatures living there were astounding! We saw eels, nudibranchs, sea-hare, anemones and Nemo's, mantis prawns, porcelain crabs etc etc--all that divers would normally see. But we were just snorkelling in shallow waters here!! It is simply unbelievable! We were told there was a resident turtle living here but we did not see it.
For the snorkelling experience, this place is TOPS!

What we didn't like was their silly charge of 5 pesos for a mug of hot water, and they did not even have cups in the room. The staff were friendly though.
