The hotel exceeded our expectations. All the staff was very helpful and friendly and very welcoming. We even had friends who couldn’t find a room and they helped us get them a room the same day. Not to mention their restaurant has amazing food with great taste. As well as their bar. It provided a lot of options with great flavors. Would definitely stay here again if and when I travel to Poland.

Hotel close to the airport, very convenient for the early departure. Breakfast got a lot of choice and made with premium products. The down sides are; the aircond is a bit noisy and the mattress is way too soft wondering if it was not just a foam instead of a matress.

Disappointing repeat stay with disgusting bedding

We've stayed at the hotel previously and it was perfectly acceptable at the time, albeit several years ago. On this occasion, things were very different.

We had a very short stay planned at the hotel, a 2am check-in, noon check-out and simply expected what we had paid for - a clean, comfortable room for a few hours sleep.

Clearly, the bed linens had not been changed and whilst it may not even be related, we both became ill within 36 hours of leaving the hotel. I've given the hotel several opportunities to respond and whilst they have commented that \"we are sorry we did not meet your expectations\", it's really the standards of the hotel cleanliness we need to focus on here, rather than \"customer expectations\" which yes, typically would be to have a clean bed I should think!

Breakfast was fine, young lady on receptionist later in the am was very polite and pleasant.

There is plenty of competitively priced accommodation in Katowice now so standards need to be brought up to scratch in short order.

Spent a night here after landing late at night in Katowice. The shuttle was quick to pick us up, check in was smooth and the room was spacious and quiet. Beds were comfortable and we all had a good nights sleep.

Great for a night before your flight

Great location close to the airport, offering a 20 złoty airport transfer for a 10 minute ride, available even in the wee hours of the morning. Restaurant is a tad pricey but the soups we ordered there as a late night snack were delicious and came out hot, as if cooked to order. Rooms and hotel complex were very clean and modern. Comfortable place if you have an early morning flight out from the airport, which is exactly why we stayed here.

Good airport hotel with excellent value. Shuttle service is prompt and courteous, even for an early flight at 4AM. Rooms are clean and spacious. I highly recommend the restaurant, with good healthy and vegetarian options. Overall, a surprisingly good experience!

A lovely welcome after a long day traveling!

I arrived at the hotel later than expected after a flight to drop off my Daughter to visit her Grand parents in Zywiec for her summer holidays. I was given a warm welcome by a lovely member of staff called Ania. She was very welcoming and explained all the facilities that the hotel had to offer. Ania also kindly booked me in for a airport transfer the next morning. Ania's English was fantastic and she looked after me very well when I came down for dinner. Needless to say Ania's recommendation of the Desilva burger was great. I very much enjoyed my stay, and I would recommend the hotel to all of my business associates. Thank you for a great experience!

The hotel itself was nice and comfortable but the staff were not overly friendly or warm at check-in. We ate in the restaurant and while the food was great, the service was very slow, it appeared that only one person was working the bar, restaurant and the convention rooms and we had to go find a housekeeper to get our bill at the end if the evening. I'd stay again but not spend my time in their restaurant.

Stayed here on a recent business trip. We required a hotel close to the airport as we had an early flight the next morning. DeSilva was a clean, comfortable hotel close to the airport. Shuttle service available for very little cost even for early flights! We were collected at 4:45am and it was only 10 minutes to the airport.
Food was also very good and service was quick. Would definitely recommend staying again.
Only issue was finding the hotel as there are a lot of roadwork's in the surrounding area so our taxi driver had to stop and ask for directions.

Great value airport hotel

The hotel is great for those using Katowice airport. Rooms and hotel are modern and clean. Food is good and room was excellent value for money for the rate we paid.

Great proximity to airport.

The price and proximity to the airport was unbeatable. The breakfast buffet was nice, and the kids were not charged to eat. Because we got in so late, we chose this location. The room itself was teeny tiny -- the sofa bed only slept one -- we have two small kids. The front desk did bring us another comforter set so one kid camped out on the floor next to the luggage. Whatever was being burned outside permeated inside the room through the windows, and this made the room very smoky. I realize that the hotel has no control over the exterior environment. The heater unit inside the room smelled musty and ran all night since we were unable to shut it off. I wouldn't stay here again unless I could choose the room and we could ALL fit in beds.

A wonderfully convenient hotel if you are flying out of Katowice early in the morning. Very friendly staff, clean an fairly comfortable rooms (except that standard queen beds are a bit on the small size).
However, there is no reason to stay here other than proximity to the airport.

Only stayed at the desilva for one night, put was impressed with the service.

Pick up and drop off at Katowice airport is only 40 zsl both ways.

The restaurant was also very nice and priced well.

Overall a nice place to stay.

I am disappointed

My TV set did not work. I asked at the reception desk for a help and I got a promise that somebody very soon would come to fix it but unfortunately nobody came. By the way the TV screens are very small, good enough for PC computer. There are also small refrigerator in the rooms. In my room it worked whole night quite loudly but unfortunately inside of it was warmer than outside of it.

The main advantage of this hotel is a close proximity to the airport which is very convenient if you arrive late at night or depart early in the morning. They offer a shuttle service, but charge 20 PLN (about $6.00) per direction. This is outrageous considering that the hotel is located about 1.5 km from the terminal, and the trip takes about 2 minutes.

The are i nly to hotels close to airport,bth look similar,so if u have no choice,u have to take what u can. Hotel building outside is horrible,inside is ok like most of 3 star hotels. Restaurant and bar ok although very expensive comparing to normal polish prices. Room clean but very small,tiny tv with a few channels, small bathroom. As i said is 3star only,for that is ok and is very cheap, so all in all satisfied.

The night that I got there they seemed understaffed...only about 3 people working downstairs were all interchanging roles: bartender, waiter, front desk. Some of the food in the restaurant was very good. Other food was just ok.

Great hotel by airport

The hotel is situated quite nice since it is near the airport. They do have a shuttle upon request. However you have to call the hotel in order to get that shuttle and when you don't have an international phone you have to walk to the hotel, which is 2.5 kilometers away. Keep that in mind. Other than that the rooms were nice and the staff was nice.

Friendly, comfortable hotel minutes from the airport and I would use this again if required. They have their own transport to and from the hotel on a 24 hour basis. I arrived at midnight and was picked up within 5 minutes. There is a small business area and staff were happy to assist with any questions or queries I had during my stay.

Ein normales Budget-Hotel in Flughafennähe. Sauber, ordenlich, mit gutem Frühstück und freundlichen Mitarbeitern an der Rezeption. Mehr kann man auch von so einem Hotel nicht erwarten, da es ein Hotel ist, das wahrscheinlich meistens von Kurzzeitbesuchern (Messebesucher oder Businessbesucher) heimgesucht wird.

Kaikki meni ja oli erinomaisesti tässä hotellissa, erittäin vahva suositus erityisesti lyhyelle matkalle, yövyin yhden yön ja kävin Spodek Arenalla konsertissa. Sijainti hyvä lentokenttään nähden, Spodekkiin taksi maksoi ~200PLN /suunta. Aamupala oli monipuolinen ja erittäin hyvä sekä laadukas, yllätyin. Huone oli todella siisti ja hyvin varusteltu, kiva kun oli juomavettä saatavilla niin paljon kuin halusi. Huoneessa ei ollut kovin hyvät äänieristeet, joten heräsin hieman ennen kellon soittoa naapureiden ääniin sekä johonkin remontin ääneen, mutta muutoin hyvin rauhallinen hotelli, eikä tuokaan minua haitannut. Aina voi kysyä saako huoneen, jonka lähelle ei ole majoitettu ketään. Tässä hotellissa oli pitkästä aikaa paras hinta-laat-suhde. Kiitos!

The hotel has a modern decor and both rooms and other areas give a very good impression. The only turn off is the room's heating source (air conditioning unit) which is excessively noisy. We had to turn it off to be able to sleep and unfortunately for us, with -19 degrees outside, it wasn't ideal for a good night's sleep.
