I’d give the overall experience 2 out of 5 stars. They don’t have suitable amenities. They claim to have a full breakfast. I’d say it’s a continental breakfast with a couple hot items. It was disappointing.

We reserved a king size bed and paid while driving, using Expedia, arriving late. When we got there they said they didn't have that room, offered a two bed room for me to check. We need space to set up a dog crate. The room had not been cleaned. The next room had a king with space for crate, was handicap accessible which did not bother us. What did bother us was the cheeping smoke detector. They changed battery in the room we were in and said they would change the one across the hall that was cheeping but it cheeped all night.
The TV did not work, in the morning the woman at desk said the TV does work but she had to set it, we should have called her. It was after 11:30 and we just wanted to cover the cheeping from across the hall. We would have slept better if they had reset the TV when they changed the smoke detector battery, they seemed aware of the TV problem, and if they had changed the battery across the hall.
The breakfast had variety and included egg and sausage options, so better than typical hotel breakfast.

If it weren’t for the angel of a receptionist on the second night, I would have very negative feelings about this place. At check-in, we were deceived and lied to by another receptionist who gave no explanation as to why we couldn’t have the family suite we booked. She simply sent us to a room with one king-size bed without asking if I was comfortable sharing a bed with another adult, or explaining why we weren’t getting the room we reserved.
The second room she offered had no heat, just like the suite I originally booked. I asked, “What’s the difference between the room I ordered with no heat and this other room next to it with no heat?” She let me test it, and it was so-so. Given the choice between one bed or no heat, I chose what I originally booked.
We had booked two nights. I asked if I could get a refund for the second night and leave in the morning. I could handle the cold for one night, but not two. She told me that since I booked through the app, the app had to approve it. When I contacted the app, they said they needed to verify with the hotel. That same receptionist then told them “no,” claiming she had already given me options. This was frustrating, especially after being told the app had control.
Thankfully, the receptionist the next morning was amazing. She found us a double-bed room with heat and was honest, explaining she couldn’t issue a refund because the boss was on vacation. If not for her honesty and effort, I would have left and cut my losses

This motel was one of the worst dirt pits every! Hair in the sink and tub. Cobwebs in the corners of the room. Scummy toilet. Dirty floors. Garbage in the elevator. It was a nightmare stay. Almost the Bates motel.

The staff was fine and helpful. However, it was VERY noisy until late into the night with my room being right beside the lobby. The sound dampening between floors was non-existent and I could hear every movement in the room above me. I could hear everything in the lobby, at the front desk, and in the staff room to the point that I could clearly hear and understand conversations.

The bathroom was in disrepair. And the curtain rod has been torn down and improperly \"repaired\".

This is a lower end average hotel that admitted that they took advantage of customers in a phone call to me after my stay by jacking up rates last night to 3 or 4 times the normal price for one night because it’s Penn State’s graduation weekend. This hotel is in a small town over 30min away from PSU.

The sheer curtains were in shreds. When I went out to the front desk to ask about it, they told me they were waiting to put blinds in. They still could have taken the shredded sheers down since they had heavy curtains too. Sheets only on the beds.

Staff was great, simple breakfast in the morning! Super convenient off of 322 and right by a Rutter's. We were there two nights and had some loud guests the second night, but we slept through it. Not much around, so make plans for other ventures (eat, etc., if need be). It works, if you know what I mean.

Check-in, room and hotel was fine. Very spacious room. It’s the smokehouse bar & grill right next door with its loud pounding bass beats all night which kills it for me. My room isn’t even on that side of the hotel, but in the middle and I still felt the constant low frequency thumping. There is no way to even cover that sound with other noises when you just feel it in your body. Also, I then found out It’s open to 2am :(. Other than that, hotel is nice and conveniently next to a Rutters.

Got a weird vibe from the place like they were very cheap. From plain white keys to being handed our keys in a used, worn key sleeve.

Stayed here for Penn State Ohio State game…close to Happy Valley and very clean hotel.

Pros- nice continental breakfast, convenient to State College, friendly staff.

Cons-spartan linens, no comforter/blanker, thermostat was apparently locked out so no temperature control.

Flat Screen tv in the breakfast area broken. What hotel doesn’t have a flat screen working during football season.

Our check-in was fine but the next day I received a phone call from the hotel stating that my friend's room was only booked for one night when I had booked two nights. He said he needed that room for another customer. I verified that I booked both rooms for the night but my friend was forced to change rooms. This was upsetting.

It’s adequate and clean and that’s all you need. That said, it badly needs updating. The doors don’t shut easily and I keep leaving it slightly open. Same for the side outside door. The toilet is tiny. The curtains are ripped.

The bed was great.

It’s also nota quiet place. Lots of road noise and horses hooves :). Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

It was okay. It is an older facility.
I did tell them
When I left , but they had one of those expanding shower rods that give a little more room in the tub, well the rod was coming off the wall so
It spun slightly which made the curtain in able to block water from coming out of the shower.
The sink fixture was just a sink, no countertop so, you couldn’t really put anything on
The sink.
Didn’t have their breakfast, we went about 1/2 mile down the road to a great little breakfast n’ lunch restaurant called the
Honey Creek Inn.
Our room was fine for the one night we stayed there.

I recently stayed at this hotel for just one night, and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. The accommodations felt very dated, with old furnishings and worn-out carpets. To make matters worse, there was a noticeable smell in the room that reminded me of bug extermination chemicals, which made my stay even more uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless there are no other options available.

Only room available was ground floor by the elevator. I had a 4 am wake up and asked if there was an alternative. I got a ground floor at the end of the corridor but the jacuzzi tub was broken , as in tiles falling off. It was late so I took it. The rest of the room was clean and tidy, but very dated in decor and not extras at all. I paid $250 for this room. I would not recommend.

This place was not up to my cleanliness standards. I’m a clean freak. The pool was dirty and not heated as stated in the description. The room had a funky smell and corners of the room and bathroom were overlooked when cleaning. The bathroom had a hole in the wall. The pillows were flat. Could not get comfortable. Also all night I hear doors opening and closing in the hall disrupting my sleep. The breakfast was decent.

We book this room with the idea of rest after long day at Penn state. We find dogs barking, (the hotel allow dogs) we didn't know dogs were allow. people taking and fighting early morning. The room got a electric open panel without door.
We paid high fee for the room since is moving day at Penn we regret it and cancel the reservation for family weekend

I liked the fact that I could bring my dog to an area in the back of building. I loved the nice breakfast that we had a choice of a lot of different things to eat including fresh fruit.
The location of places to eat around the area was ideal. Very nice quiet stay at your facility. Thank you.
