Bath tub wasnt cleaned out. Pool couldnt have stayed opened later, didnt get the chance to use it. Staff was excellent, very kind and helpful. Location was not ideal, nothing was in the town to do, no bars, hardly any restaurants. If i would book again, probably wouldnt.

The support staff was very polite and speedy. Check-in was smooth and quick. All was good until we walked into our bathroom. Three large, dead cockroaches. Two on the floor and one in the bathtub. I can't do roaches. I hate leaving such a negative review, but that is what happened. Hopefully, it was a one off...

The room was very poorly cleaned, the tub was filthy, the floor was not vacuumed as evidenced by the huge toenail on the floor along with lots of other debris. Towels were so dingy. There was no stopper in the sink and there was what appeared to be food in the drain. Sheets and bed seemed clean.

Great little hotel \"along the way\". Room smelled great, everything was clean. Locally owned and it shows in a good way). Breakfast seemed super early (430-8), but maybe that makes sense with the gas/oil worker schedules. I do wish the ice machine worked.

The pictures did not match the room. The front door would not close from the bottom and there was a gap. The room looked outdated and there were roaches in the restroom. The room was not as advertised. We flew from California and checked in late after a thunderstorm and were disappointed with the stay. Service was good, the room was not.

Older type building, but clean. Right alongside main route thru town, but our room was very quiet. No road noise at all and minimal noise from other guests. Room was spotless. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

The property was quiet and clean. The breakfast was decent and had a good amount of options. Unfortunately I did have 1 issue. The room that I reserved and paid for, 1 King, Non smoking with a Jetted tub was not the room I received. I instead recieved a 2 Queen, Non smoking with a regular tub. Not a huge deal, the bed was fine and it was only me. I wasnt sure if Iwas going to stop or continue the 3 hours home, ultimatly deciding to stop becase I was pretty sore from the work that week and I saw the jetted tub listed when looking at options, outherwise I would of saved the $100 .and finished the drive.

The only bad parts were we got a room with a jet tub for that reason and it was broken and we were not offered compensation for that. The shower was finicky to get the temperature to get to warm. It was either hot or cold.

The motel was close to where my destination was. The motel is very dated. The bed was horrible. The bathroom had dead insects around the toilet and in the tub. I would not recommend you stay here unless there are no alternatives. The staff was nice.

Eh not the best but not the worst

Our stay was about what we expected. The good parts… they allowed our small dogs and gave us a room with no carpet. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Pool was close by and a nice place to hang with our friends. The bad: The bed and bedding was fine and clean, but there were small crawling bugs on the floor and two live cockroaches in the shower!! Tub and shower area was very old and stained. I was told some other rooms do have renovated bathrooms, so be sure and ask for that. Overall, it was fine for a motel in George West, TX. Not the worst and not the best.

It is hotels like this one that give Vest Western a bad name. This place is grim. The carpet outside the bathroom was wet. I brought this to the attention of the front desk, but there was no indication they did anything to fix it. The toilet was so low it was hard to sit down or get up. The tile shelf in the bath tub was disgusting and needs to be replaced.

My first room was a bit under par, AC not working and carpet felt sticky. I was moved to another room, the handicaper room. nicer, and the toilet was plugged. I discovered this late into the night when I went to the lue. I don't want to give this place a bad review, it could stand for some improvement for the facility. Staff was friendly and cheerful.

First of all, the PICTURE of this hotel, is NOT THIS HOTEL. The BWGWEI is OLD and shows it!!! Our bathroom toilet seat was NOT EVEN SCREWED DOWN, and the towels and WASHCLOTH HAD BROWN STAINS. Really !!!!! I refused to take a shower. Breakfast area seats were split, with filling spilling out. UGH !!!

The room appeared clean, linens were fresh. AC in room was very efficient.
The shower and bathroom as a whole were not in good condition. The shower curtain rod was not attached to the wall, and the wall was cracked and crumbling where it was supposed to be attached. Sheetrock was exposed.
There was a significant gap between the tile on the floor and where the tub was placed, exposing damaged concrete.
The toilet didn’t flush properly, it took several attempts using the handle, to get it to flush.
When I spoke to the front desk prior to booking, I was told the hotel rooms were in interior corridors. I felt very vulnerable traveling alone with my son, with exterior corridors.
Next trip to George West, I am unlikely to choose this hotel again.

Smells moldy and looks run down

Stayed here for business in the area and was surprised to be pretty disappointed in the condition of the hotel. The whole place smelled kind of moldy and was run down. If I had to guess it had been flooded before and not greatly restored. In addition, I accidentally left my new electric toothbrush in the morning and when I called about it in the evening it was not found or kept - disappointing. Will be avoiding this hotel in the future.
