The property had wonderful views over the water and to other side. Hotel showing signs of aging. Cracked sink, mildew in bathroom. Great promenade to walk along. Restaurants along promenade were woeful. Basic food unappealing and all same same. Found a great restaurant up a side street from water. Staff at reception really helpful.

Like the location. Close to everything. Walking to restaurants and shops on a pedestrian walkway on the water right behind the hotel. Staff was great . Only suggestion to improve would be more remotes for parking. Had to wait quite some time for another guest to return with the remote so we could get our vehicle and go on with our day.

Hotel was in a good location but was very loud in the evening till around 3.00 am but this is not the hotel’s problem unless they are willing to get soundproofed windows hotel was comfortable , staff at reception were helpful . We had planned to eat in the restaurant but had been put off by cafe staff earlier in the day who we found to be rude and ignorant.

A lovely hotel with a stunning outlook

A little confusion to begin with as we had asked for a twin room and when we entered the room we only saw a double bed. The gentleman in reception was quite adamant and a little rude insisting that he had worked there for 5 years and new that room was a twin bedded room. However, he made a phone call to housekeeping and a very nice lady came and separated the beds, put on appropriate bedding and turned it into a twin room. So all good in the end.

Want to travel back in time to the 1980's? Then this is the hotel for you! The furnishing of the hotel is pretty ancient but clean. The staff is nice but cannot answer too many questions due to language barrier. The free breakfast was interesting... mini boiled hot dogs and cold over easy eggs. The WiFi might as well be dial up, I am not kidding - we could not use a single app on our phone tha tinvolved the internet. Overall, I give it a 2/5. Its a good place to sleep, thats it.

leaky and whistling door

The strong wind blew the whole night through the leaky door, making terrible whistles. Impossible to sleep! The location is great! There are many good restaurants near the hotel. The hotel doen't privide parking for its guests, we had to use a private parking 150m from the hotel, paid 10 euros (I was asked for 15e, but I did bargain). Staff didn't seem to be willing to help.

The view was great and it was included in the standard price (maybe because it was during the winter and not very busy). The room although clean, large and comfortable (I give extra points to the hotels with strategically placed mains power sockets and this one had more than enough) it was dated and worn. I stayed for one night and there was no hot water in the morning because of a technical problem. I expected something better from their part than just acknowledging the problem.

The best view of a great city

Location-wise, this hotel provides the best access to the paralia (the waterfront area). The hotel’s restaurant is also above expectations. The sea view balconies of the hotel have the best views. We had booked sea views, but were not given rooms with those views. After pointing this out, we were upgraded to suites. Service varies, the breakfast buffet is good, and the rooms appear clean. The only problems within the rooms are the overly strong cleaning products that are used (common in some hotels). These are difficult on guests with asthma or allergies. Fragrance-free (unscented) alternatives would be much better (especially for bed sheets and pillow sheets).

We were expecting to be better condition of the room in general, especially that we prepaid our room 2 months in advance. But we got a room on the side of the building, facing very busy road. Also, it was dusty inside the wardrobe, in the bathroom bide was not working, shower had was spraying all around making floor wet, floor mat provided. no city maps at the reception. and very strange that 30 min until the end of the breakfast there is no toast bread anymore, croissants not fresh.

Grosses Zimmer mit zwei Doppelbetten, gute Matratze. Behindertengerechtes grosses Bad und Toilette (sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig, da von uns nicht benötigt). Leider nicht sauber (z.B. Fingerabdrücke an Badtüre und Türrahmen, die sich leicht entfernen ließen.
Zu kleiner Frühstücksraum. Als wir zum Frühstücken kamen waren alle Tische belegt bzw. stand auf einigen Tischen noch bereits benutztes Geschirr, kein Servicemitarbeiter in Sicht. Einige Gäste mussten auf den Balkon ausweichen, obwohl es draußen ziemlich frisch war. Bewertung Insgesamt: Da nur eine Übernachtung ok, falls längerer Aufenthalt gewünscht wäre, nur nach Zimmerwechsel. Parkplatzmöglichkeit nur öffentlich auf Strasse oder Parkhaus.

Perfekt für Kurzaufenthalt in Chalkida zum Erkunden der Sehenswürdigkeiten im Zentrum, direkt an der Promenade gelegen. Bad etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, wenn man kein modernes Luxushotel erwartet. Gute Matratzen.

Not Bad But Could Be Better

The location of the hotel is excellent. In the heart of the city, close to all the attractions in Chalkida.
However, the lack of a ramp at the main entrance has frustrated me. You have to carry lift luggage and climb the stairs to reach the front desk.
Although the spotlight indicates that the hotel has a car park, read the details carefully. The hotel itself does not have a car park. You should park your car in one of the private parking lots around the hotel.
There is no standard between the rooms. My colleague and I booked two rooms, and we stayed on the same floor, facing the same front. However, the other room's bathroom was in much better condition.
I cannot say there was any problem with the cleanliness, but since the furniture and other decoration items are quite old, you cannot totally get that clean feeling. I hope they renovate the rooms soon.
Breakfast is quite satisfactory for a 3 stars hotel.

Albergo medio, con prezzo commisurato al livello. Camere piccole, biancheria da letto e bagno di media qualità, televisione con pochi canali stranieri. Bagno con vasca, doccia priva di supporto in alto, vasca senza tappo ovviamente per evitare consumi di acqua calda, frigobar con una bottiglietta da 500ml di acqua non gasata e basta. Circondario rumorosissimo per cani, moto, auto, camion della spazzatura. Parcheggio zero. Staff cortese.
