A family destination wedding (a big fat Greek one) brought us to Andros. My wife and I and another couple ended up staying at Micra Anglia for four nights and that was a fantastic choice. The location is great should you decide to stay in Hora (Χώρα in Greek - that's how the Islanders call the city of Andros. There's a guest parking lot across the street and you get your own remote gate opener.
The service is fantastic. Everyone working at the hotel are so friendly and nice and welcoming. We've got only very positive comments to make.
The food is great -- field to table type of deal and the quality is there to prove it. My very personal favorite was the risotto calamari...it was divine. If you happen to be in Andros you must visit Dolly's (their restaurant) and try it. Perhaps it would be a good idea to chat with the lovely restaurant manager so she can suggest a nice wine to go with it. I had a Potamisi (local white wine) and loved it, but they've got others for you to choose from. All-in-all a great experience. Thank you all at Micra Anglia for making our stay so memorable.

Excellent hotel - best ever holiday

After initially having a room with some degree of noise from the reception area, we were moved immediately to a much quieter room which met our needs for our 2 week stay. The team could not have been more friendly and helpful throughout our stay. In fact we feel like we made some very good friends and were sad to leave. We found our little piece of heaven and will definitely be back. Thank you to you all. X

Micra Anglia was a lovely Boutique Hotel. It was spotlessly clean everywhere. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. George in particular should have a special mention. The food was brilliant and breakfasts were very relaxed with homemade and farm fresh foods.

Gorgeous and truly elegant. Impeccable service and care - the best of Greek hospitality! Cannot recommend enough. Location perfect for a beautiful stroll in the historic streets of Andros. Lots of restaurant options in walking distance. An authentic experience free of the tourist masses.
Did not get a chance to use the spa (no time), but next time would love to indulge. The food and service at the hotel restaurant (Dolly) is sumptuous and service excellent. Breakfast was complete and yummy!
Every detail is taken care of.
I ended up leaving some valuables at the hotel by mistake. I was contacted right away and they kindly organized a delivery (via taxi) at my car rental return point near Gavrio. So grateful!

Fab little hotel

The hotel is really lovely in a good location. Everything is of such a high standard with so much attention to detail. Exceptionally clean. Nice that a lot of the character of the building has been retained. Nice outside patio pool area. Breakfast was delicious and very well presented. Staff super friendly and helpful. Booked to stay one night but ended up staying 3 it was such a delight.

Amazingly friendly staff who will help you sort out all the activities you want to do on the island. The hotel breakfast was also one of the best I've had in a long time. Rooms are comfortable and quiet and the location is close to the water, main square and lots of good restaurants.

A great hotel with an excellent location

We enjoyed a 3-night stay at Micra Anglia in mid-August. The location is excellent: very close to the main street in Chora (several places to eat and drink); easy access to the pathways (Andros Routes); close to the main bus station; and a short walk to the beach/sea. The staff were friendly and welcoming (also contacting us ahead of our visit) and assisted us throughout our stay in a helpful and unintrusive way. We stayed in an attic room (no view): a very clean and nicely furnished room with a good sized bathroom (be careful of the attic beams for those who are 1.70 metres plus tall!). The breakfast provided was good. The pool area is very nice but on the small side (not an issue for us as it was not busy) and we enjoyed our time eating and drinking around this area. Thanks Micra Anglia for getting our Greek Islands adventure off to a stylish start.

Note: We travelled by bus from the port to Chora which was 70 minutes. This was longer than expected, particularly so as it was after 2100 hrs.

Fantastic place!!!

This an amazing place to stay at, the staff are all friendly and helpful. Our only issue was accessing the bath which had high sides, on mentioning this to reception we were immediately upgraded (free of charge) to a suite which had a large walk in shower cubicle.

Delicious breakfast, superb quality bath amenities and a very clean room. Room was not very big (attic), but still comfortable enough for the weekend. The bathroom was large however. Overall, a very enjoyable stay. Would definitely recommend.

Very relaxing stay in a wonderful boutique hotel

Hotel is situated in Andros, in a very nicely remodeled historic building. Room was very comfortable with all the amenities, the staff very professional, courteous, and always prompt to make our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Breakfast selection (buffet) was good and dinner at the restaurant was great. Overall we had a great time and I would highly recommend Micra Anglia to anyone visiting Andros and is looking for an upscale and quiet hotel. The only thing I missed compared to other hotels in the Greek islands was a nice view, unfortunately the hotel location is surrounded by other buildings, so most rooms don't have a view to the sea. We will definitely be back in the future.

Wonderful!

Micra Anglia is a first-class hotel. The only problem is that it is 36 km from the ferry depot, which is in Galros Bay on NW side of the island. So you have to take the bus, or rent a car -- but the drive is easy and absolutely breath-taking. Micra Anglia is a short walk to Main Street, which is a no-vehicles thoroughfare where virtually all the shops and restaurants are. \"Easy walk to beach\" is a bit of a stretch, esp, the walk back UP, but surely we would stay at this hotel if we ever go back, and VERY HIGHLY recommend it to anyone staying in Andros-Chora.

Wonderful Experience

In July, we were in Andros for four nights and five days to visit the history and sites (i.e. museums, monasteries, beaches) of the Island. The Hotel is located in the town of Xora (Xopa in Greek). The location was ideal, near to the central square and beaches. The museums were in walking distance. Regarding the hotel, the room (we stayed in the Loft) was roomy, beige color, clean and romantic. On our arrival, we were greeted professional and warmly by the hostess Dimitrianna. Her Greek and English were impeccable . We were given as a welcome, a glass of champagne along with a brief yet thorough description of the technical aspect of the TV, Sun Roof, air-conditioning controls, etc. An elevator is also available in the hotel. Throughout the day in the hallways, beautiful island romantic music was playing. Breakfast was a wonderful feast, with wonderful local (ntopia) products. every evening we would have a drink in there bar/lounge area where beautiful large candles and excellent service greeted us. They even remembered what we normally would have even before we asked for them. Each drink was accompanied by small variety of tapas( the staff in their lounge were consistently professional,friendly, gracefully attentive and their knowledge and proficiency in various foreign languages excellent. Overall, we agreed that this is a must stay hotel and we will definitely stay again when we return to Andros. The hotel is worth its 5 stars category.

Very nice hotel,

We had a very pleasant experience in the hotel. The staff was friendly and attentive. The young lady at the front desk (Demetriana) was wonderful. The young man (I did not get his name) who was the bellman and everything else that required a man's touch was extremely energetic, diligent, polite, friendly and quick. The rooms were attractive and clean. The rooms in the main building were the same price and were much more spacious. The shower had a bubbled section which I can only assume was to make it more comfortable if you sit to take a bath. The area for the shower was extremely small and cramped. It was not far from beaches but the good beaches on the Chora side of the island are not easily accessible. Chora (Andros) is the main town of the island and is by far the most attractive town and the most interesting town on the island. The hotel was very close to the main street on Chora. The breakfast buffet was very substantial and good. From an American perspective it could have some breakfast meats, but they are not common in Greece.

A pefect hotel!

The Micra Anglia is a beautifully decorated and wonderfully furnished hotel in the nice little town of Andros Chora. It's a bit pricey for the islands and caters mainly to Greek speaking tourists but it's definitely THE place to stay. It's like being in a decor magazine article. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the breakfast is really something - way beyond the normal Greek buffet! This would be a top notch place to stay anywhere in the world.

Nous avons passe 2 nuits dans cet hôtel très bien place par rapport à la rue centrale de la ville de Chora (Andros)
Accueil et propreté étaient vraiment au rdv /belle chambre bien équipée. Il manquait juste une fenêtre (y en avait une mais au plafond)accessible et qui aurait permis d'avoir une vue. On s'est senti un peu compressés.
Nous avons annonce la veille de notre départ que nous devons quitter l'hôtel au plus tard à 8h car notre bus était prévu à 8h15. Le pt dej étant servi à partir de 8h00; nous avons eu droit qu' au café...un petit effort aurait pu être fait de ce coté, on ne s'attendait pas au buffet mais des petites viennoiseries auraient fait l'affaire.

Εξαιρετική εξυπηρέτηση

Το ξενοδοχείο παρέχει υψηλού επιπέδου και διαμονή αλλά και εξυπηρέτηση. Τα παιδιά στη Reception και η Ειρήνη αλλά και ο Σωτήρης ευγενικότατοι πρόθυμοι να σε εξυπηρετήσουν με ειλικρινά και όχι επαγγελματικά χαμόγελα!! ένα τεράστιο μπράβο για τον επαγγελματισμό τους, Δίνουν στο ξενοδοχείο την φιλοξενεία που του αρμόζει
