The hotel is great, but the service is bad. It was really annoying to be asked over and over if I was a guest, even though I donated food to the staff. To be exact, five times during one morning while I’m wearing the same outfit in the lounge. I also saw how differently they treated people of different races. And there were NO towels in the room when we arrived. When I asked for towels at night, I had to wait for an hour and remind them twice. They said they forgot while we were the only guest reaching out at 11pm. Seriously? And then I left some stuff at the hotel and I still haven't heard back from them, even though I contacted them through Expedia four days ago. I would not recommend this hotel if Jasper is reopen.

Great stop over if doing the Glacier Tour

Upon arrival we were upgraded to a Glacier view room the rooms are clean modern and the view is spectacular we were blessed with amazing weather. All staff went above a beyond and were very personable. I would definitely recommend for 1 night only as the dining options are not good. Avoid the Altitude at all costs. As you get a better view from the hotel lobby. They serve a charcuterie board a couple of drinks one Alcoholic and one alcohol free.

It was nice, great views. The food was also good, but could be better. Definitely not 5 or 4 star, but it could be one day. This place needs more activities for the guests like a private balcony with a bar, pool table and hot tub. We hiked the whole time we were there so it would have been nice to have some other dinner options or a kitchen or sinple stove top in the room would be nice. The only real downside I can think of is that there was a tick on my pillow as i walked into the room. I killed it but like.. kinda gross

I absolutely love Glacier View Lodge. The views of the Athabasca Gracier from the lobby and restaurant are incredible. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the welcome complimentary cocktail and charcuterie board. We have breakfast and dinner at the onsite restaurant, Altitude, the food was delicious. I highly recommend Gracier View Lodge.

The Glacier View lodge is a very good option for people wanting to explore the Columbia Icefields area and the Icefields Parkway. Great views! I did think it was a little pricey for what you get (no room service available, only had two very small towels in the bathroom, ect.) For $600 a night I would expect better services and higher quality. Overall a pleasant stay, however.

Premium property with some average experiences. We really expected a premium
Experience, and the hotel staff did everything to provide that. Unfortunately the surrounding options are mediocre. The restaurant has a very slim menu, the cafe is poor quality with very slim menu, and there is literally nothing else to offer. I was quite disappointed because we paid for a premium experience and there is little room for error. One of the more beautiful properties in the national parks, but not without its flaws. The cafe should really offer a lot more.

This is the only hotel near the Athabasca Glacier, so while there are no other options, it’s still a nice hotel. My only complaint is that I couldn’t adjust the heat in the room. It was way too hot for us. I had to open a window to cool down the room. But we were glad we stayed here. Definitely didn’t want to drive two hours back to Banff.

We also stayed on Gold Levels at other stays but our stay at the Lodge was truly a highlight. Room was unbelievably comfortable, beautiful and exceeded expectations. We will be back!

Falling into sleep and waking up alongside the glacier are something luxury and breathtaking. Staying here is super convenient if participating in the glacier tour and skywalk. The room interior is well set up and I enjoyed the book about the building of the Skywalk provided in the room.

Everything is ok clean and good. Except that the room temperature could not be controlled by guests. It is under centralized management the temperature is low feeling cold, even the front desk help us to increase the temp in the room, but it only works a while, in the mid night the controller has been set to cooling mode again which making the room temp even lower. That is my only complaint.

Fantastic hotel. Staff, amenities, view, location just awesome. Just a couple of things that can be improved. Firstly the parking is quite a distance from the hotel and people with physical challenges will find it hard to reach the hotel. Secondly, the water pressure in the showers seemed less than expected. Other than this staying in this hotel is worth every penny.

Glacier View Lodge is conveniently located near the Icefield, and on site with the booking and transportation centre for Icefield Tours and Sky Walk tours. Exceptional staff at check in and in the Altitude Restaurant. Fantastic coffee in the community lounge area with a beautiful view of the Glacier. Quiet area, and rooms are contemporary, clean, and comfortable. Definitely recommend this place.

The elevator wasn't working and the rooms are on the third floor. No prior e-mail to notify of this issue. At the time there was no porter to carry our cases, the booking clerk did his best, (we received a discount for the poor initial service)
The room could not be faulted, bright airy and very clean, and a stunning view.
The only real complaint would have been the food (not the cocktails). Only a limited buffet that wasn't very hot. For both the evening and breakfast. Due to the location there is no other option anywhere nearby.

Amazing location right on the glacier. The check in was average, the elavator was not working and apparently hasn’t been since they opened for the season in May. We arrived and had to drag two heavy suitcases up 4 flights of stairs. There was no signs to let you know what was going on and the stair well was rather unpleasant. Once at the top we were offered help. Only the Bistro was open and the food was below average and looked rather unappetizing. No shower caps provided which makes it hard to shower before bed and the room was extremely hot and when we asked to turn it down we’re told they can’t because it’s centrally controlled. One plus was a young girl who works as a tour guide there was super helpful and chatted with us about what was on offer with the glacier.

The views from this hotel are unbeatable and definitely an experience.

The food far exceeded our expectations and made for a special night. Its definitely more suited for couples, and not children which worked well for us.

Hotel staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area.

Note: the hotel closes in October so as they wind down for the season hours are lessened for restaurants and a few menu items were unavailable. Not a big deal though as they tried to accommodate best they could.

Also, the sound proofing from the hallway isn't perfect. If people are loud exiting their rooms - you will hear them

Beautiful hotel, extremely clean. Perfect stop between Banff and Jasper and right at the Ice Field. Customer service was excellent. Thank you to Daniel who assisted with check in. Dinner was fabulous at Altitude Restaurant. Chef Terry Port walked around to each patron, a great personal touch as well as shows pride in culinary work. Overall a 5 plus, one must stay here if their trip permits.

My family and I loved this resort. We spent two nights here as our home base while exploring Jasper Park and Jasper. The resort is isolated, so if you want to walk to nearby restaurants and cafes, this place is not for you. The Discovery Centre is beneath the hotel, so the staff can easily sign you up for tours - which we did and enjoyed the Skywalk and Columbia Icefields/glacier tour. Our loft suite was large and spacious - with a mini fridge and pantry for your family's snacks. The reception area is lovely with the big window shown here, and is where the welcome cocktails are served. This hotel was nicer with better service and food than Chateau Fairmont Lake Louise, for half the price.
