The view from the room to the sea is beautiful. The hotel location is the best: avoid the crowded area around the Ho May tour but not far from those area. The breakfast bars are the top: delicious, fresh, varities. Staffs are extremely nice

We really enjoyed the position of the property - right across the road to the ocean, but it was a bit far from any of the main areas of town - shopping, restaurants, other services. There were a few restaurants close by, but no shops. Thankfully, it was really easy to order Grab taxis though. The staff were super friendly, respectful and helpful, but there was a bit of a language barrier. The hotel s a little old and tired, and a hot shower could only be had if the sun was shining. We loved the included breakfast though, and enjoyed our stay here.

Bad points:
- Facilities are old and not functioning well. ( Lamp , lightning bulbs are not working).
-The cleaniness is not good. Bedsheet and pillow covers had dirt on it.

Was disappointed with the breakfast buffet. There was quite a large family staying downstairs who were running between rooms this was extremely disappointing as my partner and I were both unwell. And to finish it off we booked this resort based on the fact there was a pool bar, when ee arrived it was noted that it had not been active in quite some time.
It was quite a uncomfortable stay.

The bathroom curtain is broken, not cover well enough, the back can able to see you when you in the bathroom or taking shower.th second bedroom is only 2 feet from bathroom door, right in front of your face and if someone in bathroom you can able to see through the glasses door of the bathroom., the lay out of the resort is kind of odd. From the front resort you have to walk through the back and further in to get check in, and then you have to go out and go further in the back and up to the hill road and stair to get into your room. I don't think it is good for the old people to walk and with luggages. The beach is infront, but this hotel location No access to the beach and this area is not for swimming, so many rocks, you have to walk for 300m to get to the way to can get access to beach. Breakfast is good, lot of food. But for the amount of money i paid for rhe room, i rather pick the Malibu hotel is half of the price i paid for the resort with everything is modern. I don't think i will come back.

Room was ok. Lovely gardens. Food was terrible. First night we arrived at the buffet at 7 pm and there was nothing left. Second night we arrived at the buffet at 7 pm and there was plenty of food left but it was all cold. Not impressed considering what we paid.

GREAT OCEAN VIEW HOTEL NEAR TOWN

This is a wonderful hotel 2 km from town. Quite with great views of the ocean.
Great swimming pool and gardens. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Great restaurant and coffee shops At the hotel or nearby.
Great for walking on the boardwalk along the ocean toward the cable car or continue all they way into town to the local beach less than 1 km.
This is not the hotel if you want to be in town for night life but you can always take a taxi into the center in a few minutes. Mainly business people during the week and
Families for weekend from Saigon. Good internet and good breakfast .

You're not going to get what you're paying for...

The staff was friendly, but the cocktails were generally really bad and the service was insanely slow. Any food you order will take a long time and I had to re order my dessert 3 times, I ordered ice cream and it took them 30 minutes and me asking what was taking my ice cream so long before they told me they were out of that flavor, so I ordered a different flavor and they brought me the wrong dessert altogether, then they brought me the wrong flavor again and I just took it because it had been well over an hour and I was tired of waiting.

The room looked a bit worn, not in the condition you'd expect from a 4 star.

Also, the hotel is on a massive hill and the nearest walkable beach is a couple miles down the street. You can find a nicer hotel for a lot less than the $73 a night a spent here. I expected more for what I was paying.

Not a terrible hotel, just terribly overpriced.

Only thing I ddidn't like was the mattress... too soft and old, not comfortable for two people to sleep on as both would fall towards the middle...

Gave me the wrong room and wouldn't change it!

I paid $100 a night for a place that REFUSED to put me in the room that I PAID for.

Also, they would not do a late check out. Not even a minute over.

If you want to get treated like you're staying at a 1 star Hostel...then by all means, stay at Seaside.

But I will NEVER go back there. And I live in Vietnam, so I know that this is NOT the way most hotels treat foreigners.

Rundown hotel not worth 4 star

Pool and breakfast were nice and the location was good. However, the room was outdated. The bathroom had bad sewer smell especially in the morning. There were few big mosquitoes in my room. Also, I had to pay extra for my room because my kids were older than 7. I booked premium room and it has 2 queens bed. They didn't provide any thing extra. When I asked the front desk what is the reason I had to pay extra. They said that because they have to provide more personal stuff because the
kids were older than 7 which was not mentioned when I booked with Expidia. I wouldn't recommended this hotel to any one. It is not worth 4 star hotel.

Stunning view, comfortable rooms

We booked 2 rooms (1 with partial view of the sea, 1 with garden view). We would highly recommend the room with ocean view as the view was lovely. The hotel is allocated at Bai truoc so it is much quieter at night, but still close to everything.

The breakfast buffet was good, but more staff was needed to clean up the tables.

Poor management and careless staff

Decision has been made to keep all light on during the night and you feel like sleeping during daylight. I have ask them to shut it down at night, they didn't do it. Curtain are not enough to cover the light.
From 6AM, the loud music is going on
If you are sensible to noise, lights and want to rest over the weekend, avoid this place.

Don't trust the front desk

First off, don't trust the front desk. They are either incompetent or scammers. I wanted to wait until my issue was resolved but it's been three weeks so I decided to go ahead and write my review. I stayed at the hotel on 07/01/16 The issue: the hotel charged my credit card TWICE. I prepaid for the room through Hotels.com and brought this up to the reception desk when I was checking out. The desk clerk looked my email confirmation and kept telling me that it was only to reserve my booking. He was not listening to me even after I told him several times to look at my reservation. He refused to return my passport unless I paid. Later I called and brought this up to their attention and they acknowledged that they indeed charged me twice. The receptionist said that he could not do anything and that he would have the manager call me back the next morning. No one called so I called back. I was told that they see the two charges and that they need to get this approved by the accounting group and that I would get my refund in a few business days. One week later, nothing was refunded. I called Hotels.com and informed them what happened, they were kind enough to give me a $25 dollar credit and called the hotel for me. They got the same response \"accounting department has it and that I would get the refund back.\" Another week passes, and I call Hotels.com. They call the hotel and again same response three times. It's now 07/23. The hotel is incompetent.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The location was a bit isolated as there were no convenience stores nearby to buy a beer, or milk, snacks, etc. Everything was about a 100,000VND cab ride away (beach, shopping, restaurants). The pool was great as it also had a sizable pool for small kids. The view of the sea from our room was awesome.Felt very safe and secure on this property.

I have stayed in many hotels in Vung Tau and Seaside Resort was one of the good for value for money. Breakfast was good with many variety of choices. Free Wi-Fi was excellent. Will definitely choose this hotel next time.

A peaceful week in Vung Tau

Overall the stay was great, service staff in general are very friendly and helpful. However depending on whom was on the front counter at reception at the time you needed something or some information English could be rather interesting at times. Rooms kept very clean and tidy on a daily basis and a never ending supply of fresh fruit in the room. Handy to have the Seaside Café at the entrance of the hotel to sit and watch the world go by, it can get a bit noisy here at times, however that is the Vietnamese way.

My party of 6 had arranged a poolside day for relaxing. I also had arranged visitors arriving for some food in the afternoon.
At approximately 10:00 am we were told that we would have to move as the staff wanted to set up a banquet for an evening party.
Luckily other people in my party had a table set up for 6 people so we sat there.
We were all told we had to move from the pool area.
I did my best to explain to the staff that this was our holiday and we were using the pool and the facilities for the rest of the day regardles of what they wanted us to do.
We agreed that we would move from the area at 17:00.
At 14:00 the music system arrived and was set up. It worked good. Then the staff wanted to listen to loud music. I asked them to switch it off and was told it had to checked. They continued to do this \" sound check\" for another 15 minutes. I approached the lead hand that the sound was ok and asked him to now switch it off . At first he ignored me. I then told him that if it was not switched off it would be launched into the swimming pool along with him. It was switched off.
My party left the pool are at 16:45. The music immediately started again, very loud, which was not required as there was only staff at the poolside.
If we had been advised that this had been arranged for that day we could have made other plans and there would have been no problems.
The next morning we arrived at the poolside to be greeted with, filthy poolside area, no sunbeds, no clean towels BAD.

Not a bad hotel overall. Staff was friendly, doesn't not speak fluent English but somewhat understandable. Premium deluxe partial sea view, great view good size room for family of 3. Bathroom was modern enough, little things could be better like there was patched up work in bathroom, shower could be cleaner. Not located in the city, 10 mins drive, althought several coffee shops and restaurants near by. Hotel is on a hill so expect a small trek up, although when been dropped off taxi will drive you up to reception. Restaurant served good food, no air con though, very hot during the day.

Would not go back. Not worth the money. The hotel has no elevator and we had to lug our luggages up to the fourth floor. We paid for Sea View room, and although we was able to see the ocean from our balcony, the view was ruin by the black, dirty roof tops of the buildings (belong to the hotel) in front of us. My room did not have a tub, and the shower stands has glass wall that is see through from the outside. The hotel put in 'vertical blinds' for the the shower which were old and did not work well - people can see through the blind no matter how careful you are. The buffet room has no air conditioner - a must have since it was extremely hot when we were there (May 29). Would not stay here again, specially not for the price.

A good location for some relaxing days by the sea. We booked a suite and got a room at level 3 with view of the sea. Room was clean, but needs maintenance. We booked for 3 persons, but only 1 big bed and 2 sets of towels included. Had to ask for extra-bed and extra towels ( aprox 300.000 VND/night). Free WIFI both in room and by the pool. Breakfast was good. Ordered pick-up at airport and the driver was waiting on arrival. Aprox 1 km outside town - always available taxis and an good facilities to do the walk. In summary a good stay.

This resort is absolutely gorgeous. There were 11 if us, 8 adults and 3 children so we booked 4 rooms. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Beautiful view and such friendly staff. We definitely recommend this resort to everyone.

Overall is OK, but found very expensive for what it is and it's location. Vung Tau is not the prettiest of places, but being closer to the town would be better. The location is noted as 1.5ks from centre....much more than that. There are restaurants close by. Another thing I Need to mention is that if you have any mobility issues this hotel will not be easy for you, there is a very steep drive way and steps to the pool... Lift... Restaurant etc. in saying all that, the room was very good, spacious and very clean and the staff on reception lovely. Should we return to Vung Tau we will choose somewhere closer to the town, there are several other options with better location and views.

Overall, it is wonderful place. The only improvement it needs is to its breakfast buffet. They are usually late in opening it. It should start promptly at 6:30 as scheduled. Sometimes the bacon is undercooked. Many tourist like crispy, well cooked bacon. The coffee is never hot. You are lucky to get warm coffee. There coffee is very concentrated and therefore too strong. I wish I could get a cup of coffee like you would get in a typical coffee shop in Ho Chi Minh City. Most of the food is delicious and it changes daily. I would never get sick of it. It has a nice mix of Asian and western type food. Overall I still love the place and will certainly go back

1st Impression

1. Guests relations staff are good & helpful.
2. Rooms ( we booked 3 rooms) - are not well maintained, especially, airconditions- not cold, bulbs spoiled not replaced, 1 room without slippers provided. Also, hair shampoo & bath liquid soap are not of fragrance type - smelly soap.
Besides, when I came back to room after a day tour on the island, my room's power supply was switched off. I had to ask counter girl to have the technician to attend to it. Why was my room power supply switched off ? I wonder !
3. Swimming pool - not so clean, lots of fallen leaves or debris.
4. Restaurant - staffs are not helpful. They seem to intetested in chatings anong themselves, & carelees about replenishing food, drink or coffee. I had asked 1 guy twice to replenish that only 1 coffe pot & it was not done. It was only done when I asked 2nd staff. This breakfast team or area need retraining on good customers service too.

Great location, good service.

I took a ferry there and this hotel is not too far away from the ferry terminal. This is like in the middle of the seafood place I go for dinner and some other night spots on the other side. The coffee at the coffee shop here is good. The service staff went all out to make you comfortable. The only bad experience is that the bathroom has a stench and they tried very hard to removed it. Perhaps just that room, the stench went away after a while, but quite bearable since don't spend too much time at the hotel.
