Very nice hotel located at the top of a hill in Ooty. Nicely appointed rooms with comfortable bedding. Staff was extremely friendly and provided good service. Hotel location makes it easy to walk down to main city area where lots restaurants are available. However, you can easily eat at the in house restaurant as well. There is a game room for kids to play. Afternoon tea in the garden was nice everyday between. 5-6pm.

Only suggestion would be to add a swimming pool to property.

The frontdesk staff (lady on duty on 5th April) was extremely pleasant and helpful. We really appreciated her. The restaurant was however, really slow. We understood the gas issues but we had to wait for one hour even for available menu’s, food to be served to us. Our kids were in hunger. The rooms were clean, property is well maintained and apart from food, everything else was positive.

I felt compelled to write this because our stay at this hotel was genuinely the best we’ve ever experienced. The hospitality was exceptional—every staff member, from security to the reception and restaurant teams, greeted us with a smile and went out of their way to make us feel completely at home. Our 4-night stay was wonderful, and the hotel’s peaceful location in a quieter part of Ooty made it perfect for a relaxing getaway.

There are so many people to thank, but I’d like to mention a few whose names I managed to note down: Chef Rajesh, Raja, and Monica for their warm care and for celebrating our anniversary with us; Sree and the entire team at The Pavilion restaurant; and Nandeesh, who kindly arranged idiyappam for my daughter when she was craving it. Since idiyappam is a Kerala dish, it’s not easily available in Tamil Nadu, making his effort even more special.

This is a resort so expect lots of children at weekends and holidays. However this charming hotel was perfectly adequate for us. If you are of a sensitive disposition, then the noise from the ventilation might drive you nuts, but any seasoned India traveller should be carrying ear plugs on them as standard which ameliorates the situation!

A Happy Little Hotel !

We were really happy with our 3-night stay at this hotel. The staff is friendly and eager to help. The food is good, rooms are comfortable with adequate amenities.

The Bonfire on the misty and cold evenings were welcome - the evening 5 PM TEA Tasting was a warm touch.

Extremely friendly staff. Very accommodating to your requirements. I would have liked to see more outdoor sitting especially in the sun. Very cozy bar that we enjoyed in the evenings. In the bar they should not play loud local filmy music that most of the people didn’t seem to enjoy.

The hotel overall was extremely good , situated near the Rose Garden , various things to do including full size snooker table .food was magnificent and the staff were very helpful, in particular Monica at reception.I said I would give her 95 out of 100 but only because I never give 100

The architecture is colonial. I stayed in a suit which was quite spacious. The staff were responsive and took all initiatives to make it better. If i have to mention a person by name it was monica. She ensured that we enjoyed the place as we could and also gave us some of the vegetables grown in their farm to us when we left. Overall a memorable stay. Would gladly recommend this property to anyone who wants an excellent service and Ambience. There is only one complaint though. My taxi driver missed having an accomodation which are provided in some other hotels. Since the night temperatue at this time was too cold he found it difficult to sleep in the car especialy during the winter months.

This is a fine property for stay in Ooty. Room is sufficient space, clean. Liked also complimentary snacks in the room. Staff are kind. They even offered my wife and me to light lamps for the evening. Dinner and breakfast choices are very good. Walkable to botanical gardens nearby. Good view of the city.

A fabulous hotel in the small city of Ooty. Service was excellent. One example - the tennis final was on a channel that was not subscribed to on the hotel system, they subscribed! Facilities are modern, even having USB charging points built in, in the rooms. The hotel offered several daily activities including free tea tasting every afternoon and evenings around a garden fire, (we missed out on the fire as the weather was awful during our visit ).

The property is in a good position uphill from the town (which we found dirty and disappointing ) but walkable. The room was a good size. Complimentary Afternoon tea tasting. Breakfast choices were good from the buffet. The property was well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful.

It is a lovely property by Fortune ITC. The food is good and the staff is very welcoming. We enjoyed the stay at this hotel. Located very close to Rose garden and ideal for a walk to the beautiful park. The service staff and the manager at the restaurant needs special mention they are so helpful. They have a good garden and kids play area. It is an ideal place for the families to enjoy a peaceful vacation.

Amazing stay in Ooty

The hotel is located in central Ooty opposite the rose garden. It may not be possible to walk from the hotel to the city center because of the steep hill the hotel is located on but if you have a vehicle, it is very easy to commute. The hotel is neat and clean and worth the 4star status. The facilities are good if you have time to use them. The breakfast had a nice spread and was good. We did not try lunch or dinner because the rates were exorbitant. no ac but its not required any ways

bathroom should be improved. Curtains had plastics knobs instead of steel, therefore could not take load of heavy curtains and were falling down in midnight. Some of rooms were under renovation which were not informed to us in advance. Otherwise hotel location and food was Ok

Old but charming little ITC hotel

Its a lovely little hotel with a distinct charm, although its getting a little old now and needs refurbishing, which am told is likely to start soon.. esp the bathrooms look very dated... but the ITC service is excellent.. overall a fairly central location.. right nx to the Rose Garden (500 m away from hotel main gate) and rickshaws are easy to get, for local travel... overall quite an enjoyable hotel..

Not so great stay!!

The wifi was not working for the three out of 4 days of our stay even after we complained with the hotel staff many times. The only reason given to us was that it was a technical issue and they cant do anything about it. Seriously, so many days to fix this problem.
Few lightnings were not working in our room and so the ambience was not good at all.
Bath robes kept in the bathroom were defective and the housekeeping didnt change them even though they were cleaning our room daily.
Its no use booking a suite if basic amenities are not attended by the hotel and the hotel staff didnt even have a courtesy to apologise also for the inconvenience and the only thing they did was nodding their heads and agreeing to what we complained.
The room service never bought any receipt or bill to sign for the food we ordered in the room even after reminding them few times.
The only thing I liked in the hotel was the service provided by the restaurant staff during breakfast timings and their service was excellent and very courteous.

This was for a family trip with young kids. Hotel staff, while friendly, cannot speak English well. It was a challenge to communicate

Poor service of cabs. Have to rely on autos.

South Indian food is good. Multicuisine not that good.

Rooms are nice and clean. Grounds are ok.

Overall good hotel if you are a South Indian.

Expensive for what you get

We were only there one night and 2 things we particularly needed was good internet and for them to book a taxi for our onging journey. While the website advertised free internet, it was only for one device and only for 12 hours, many of which you are asleep!! The hotel booked a taxi for us to get to Coinbatore for Rs4000 but when we went down the street we could book one for ourselves for Rs2000. The general cleanliness of the lift and hallways was not great and the bathroom looked sad, particulary the shower. Compared to other hotels we have been to staff were disinterested and slow to attend.

A very charming hotel serving amazing food!

I had a fantastic stay in this very charming hotel. The staff were very attentive and very friendly. I have no hesitation in coming back to this hotel next time! The only negative aspect is the 'jogging track' in the gardens which is filled with concrete blocks and is not the safest place to go jogging! Also the wifi is pretty weak but this is common to Ooty.
