The room had an unpleasant smell, reminiscent of stale milk. It was impossible to open the window to air it out before bed because the windows were permanently closed. There was no water in the room or anywhere in the hallway. There was only paid water from the bar. This was the first time I'd encountered such a problem in a hotel. Every hotel always provides water in the guest room or a bottle and a dispenser in the hallway for refilling. Finally, breakfast. We requested scrambled eggs with onions and vegetables (tomatoes, peppers, fresh chives, etc.), a very basic dish. Instead, we received an omelet with mushrooms (mushrooms are not vegetables; they're a separate category). The omelet was also very salty, even extremely salty. Later, I showed them a photo of the dish I was referring to—scrambled eggs—and we still received an omelet, but slightly mixed to make it a bit more like scrambled eggs. However, it wasn't what we asked for. If the chef can't prepare such a simple dish, he can always tell me and invite me into the kitchen, and I'll make it myself. It's really not a problem for me, I just ask for honesty and the opportunity. The situation was somewhat saved by the lady at the front desk, who was very kind.

The cost of €16,00 each time we wanted to use the pool is a joke. We were not aware of this and the staff did not care. Wifi was horrible and the front desk had to give us a router to connect.

Not happy with \"hidden\" fees for pool

They advertise a lovely pool, BUT we were not allowed to use it without having to pay over 100 Euro over 3 days. We were not told this till too late.
Message to Hilton, other hotels have a pool and let their guests actually use it. Without a rip off fee!
You should very clearly tell people before they book they can't use the pool without paying high fees!
Breakfast also is far too expensive for Romania.
Some nice rooms ours had a horrible view. If you stay here dont get cheapest room.
Staff are nice and friendly, but not very helpful, should tell guests how they can use free trams, etc.

The hotel is clean, with decent rooms, very good breakfast, and within 20-25 minutes walk from downtown. The only negative on our side is that we paid for a room with balcony and we got a balcony right next to the HVAC vents, which made it unusable.

Bike trip from Scotland to Turkey

Used as a stop gap en route to Istanbul by motorbike. Everything was good but bed was far too hard and did not get a good sleep. Not the fault of the hotel per se but of all the hotels used so far this was by far the least comfortable bed.

Reliable quality for a short trip

The room was spacious, the breakfast was plentiful, and we didn't have the time to test the spa facilities, therefore we cannot comment on them.
Even though we did have the deluxe room with a balcony, our friends had a better view from the standard riverside double room (which had no balcony, but we didn't have use for that anyway).
Heating via the A/C was a bit weak, so take that into consideration.
On-site parking was available, but limited so that for the first night we had to park it at the nearby aquatics centre.
If you don't want to dine at the hotel, there were plenty of restaurants on your way to the city centre.

1. The water was brown. Every time I used the tap, I had to wait for the water to clean. And no, the reason is not the city (as the reception told me). Very dissapointed
2. The air conditions wasn't working, and the room had no window. It was extremely hot. The reception did nothing to help me.

Our choice was based on the available amenities.

Had a lot of problems with the wifi which was a problem as I am taking an online class. The hotel does not have airconditioning year around. It seems it is either the season you can control the heat in your room or the season you can control the air conditioning but not both. While we were there they were having problems with the heater and it was so hot we had to keep the balcony door open 24 hours a day so we had bugs in our room :(

Everything was excellent. Spacious room, modern furnishings, I’v booked one with balcony on the 8th floor over looking the beautiful city. High quality bed sheets, very comfortable mattress. Very spacious bathroom, clean, in excellent condition. Flat screen tv with a lot of channels in various languages, English, French, Italian German , Hungarian and Romanian.
Breakfast was plentiful, everything one wants from different types of eggs, cold cuts, charcuterie, pastries fruits, vegetables to an excellent coffee.
I’v used the spa facilities, clean, professional service. Polite, friendly and knowledgeable front desk personnel. Very happy with my stay. We travel to Oradea once a year and this is the only hotel worth considering for all the reasons listed above plus the best location, close to everything

The breakfast buffet was ok, too many people not all food was out and had to wait 10 minutes for a table. The jacuzzi was not working. There were glass stains on the bathroom counter. Location is good, easy to get a cab and arrive to various destinations in 5 to 10 minutes.

We've stayed at this hotel in the past for many days. It has always been top notch. Much nicer than most in the U.S. where we live. Every aspect of it is excellent from the breakfast, the restaurant, the pool, the room and especially the staff. Over promises ....under delivers

Recently stayed here for 4 nights during Dec 2016. Here are our comments/observations:
1. Some of the front desk staff were condescending and acted as if it was a privilege to stay there (typical Eastern European aggressive / passive-aggressive behaviour).
As an aside we'll never visit any country East of the Adriatic Sea again, even though my wife is from Romania.
2. No value here. Western prices for sub optimal service.
3. Raucous hotel guests above us kept us up (proves that money cannot buy consideration).
4. Design of hotel room was overly \"high tech. Never did figure out how to use climate control system. Light from both climate control and TV disturbing sleep.
5. Room facing river provided lovely view but traffic early morning and night bothersome.
As the international head of sales for a multinational conglomerate I WILL NOT be recommending this hotel to any of our corporate officers for sales conferences, conventions or meetings. Very dissapointed in the Hilton brand... not what it used to be...

The checkin was great, we were given a tour of the spa, a nice cookie on checkin as well which was a nice touch.

The room was extremely comfortable, it was a little dirty as some places hadn't been dusted. The shower head was also a little broken. These aren't major issues but not ones I would expect at a Hilton.

During out stay we made extensive use of the spa, pool, sauna and gym all of which are fantastic! The hotel dining experience in the evening is great, the bar staff during out stay were also fantastic.

The biggest downside was on our last day at breakfast. The staff there were downright rude. There weren't many tables given over to the breakfast service and the majority of these were dirty and not cleaned from the previous guests use. This mean guests went to the non-breakfast part (there are no signs to say this isn't for breakfast) instead of cleaning tables and fixing the problems the waiting staff would shout at guests not to sit there and go elsewhere before walking off. The breakfast selection wasn't the best and was poorly stocked.

We did raise the issues with breakfast to reception who refunded the charge and we also got another one of the nice cookies on checkout.

Don't take room 408 has mold in the shower.

10 days been in this hotel that first 5 I could not sleep as so much smock . when I the ask the staff where comes from ... Well from outside where els , there changed my room but still very strong smell. In room 408 that I have been 5 days need tlc , shower is full mold . No very impressed by my visit . I'm Hilton member and I do use a lot, must say very let down disappointed visit for the money I have payed.

A lovely hotel about a 20 minute walk from the centre of town. The staff speak English well and make a genuine effort to help you enjoy your stay in Oradea. I especially enjoyed the swimming pool and spa . The breakfast was good too.

On a two-week trip to Europe, this place was the highlight of our stay. The prices are reasonable (the room was cheaper than the massage), the rooms are incredibly clean, and the view on higher floors is exceptional.
