Whist the general communal areas where all good and the staff were very friendly, the rooms themselves were definitely NOT five star but at best, 3*
The rooms are VERY tired and desperately need refreshing. Broken floors, mirrors and toilets that don't flush amongst other issues. After the first of three nights stay we wanted to checkout and shift to the Radisson but were offered a THIRD room; yes, we'd already experienced problems in two rooms.
We decided to stay. I also asked that as a gesture of goodwill that they do a bag our laundry (their standard laundry bag) on a complimentary basis, which they agreed. After receiving our laundry back, we also received a bill in excess of INR 5000. After being challenged, they did discount the bill but nonetheless, they charged me for something they agreed would be a goodwill gesture.
Overall, other than the rooms, it's not a bad place but if you'd like to sleep in a 5* room, don't bother booking here.

Mattress was uncomfortable, comforter is so dirty I showed the pic to manager , nobody bothered to help perhaps being request to change it. Staff at front is respectful. It is decline in quality of Parkplaza legacy within 5 years as compared when I stayed in Chandigarh. I hope management will come up with better initiative to improve.

Don’t book here room online, they charge again for room when you reach there saying that we did not receive payment from Expedia. And tell refund is gonna happen in 24 hours, then during checkout they say it’s gonna take 1 week.

“A Childhood Dream Turned Nightmare – Never Again!”

After 9 years, I finally traveled to India and was excited to stay at this hotel I had always heard about as a kid. I had high expectations, but they let me down at every turn.
• Late Check-Out? Denied. I requested it a month in advance (and was willing to pay extra), only to be told the hotel was “fully booked.” Fine, we agreed to regular check-out.
• Basic Amenities? Missing. Our room had one towel, no hand towels, no toilet paper—I called twice and waited 1.5 hours for absolutely nothing.
• Relaxation? Not Happening. The sauna, hot tub, pool—everything shut down. The bar? A ghost town.
• Food? Below average. Not worth the hype.
• The Final Insult? They broke the wheel on my luggage while handling it.

This wasn’t just a bad experience—it was a waste of money. Never again.

My stay at this hotel was very disappointing the room that I had booked was not given to me on the 5th floor I was offered a room on the 6th floor which was very small for 3 adults. I had to pay for the connecting room an extra £300 to accommodate us all.The management staff we're very rude. The lectrics in our room were so faulty, we kept having blackouts the fridge was replaced twice, my food all went in the bin because it went off. I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone. hotels.com really do need to review this hotel. Its definitely not a 5 star hotel.

Horror show

Rooms are absolutely terrible, toilet never flushed, rooms are dirty, beds have stains, when asked to change rooms, was told we would have to pay, which we ended up doing. Family members paid for an extra bed and ended up getting a mattress to sleep on the floor, was absolutely shocking, Apart from Parv, all staff members were rude obnoxious. Sarvjeet (duty manager on the day) we checked out was very rude to one of our family members who asked for compensation and gave an insulting offer of rs1500 (£15). Should rename the hotel to Horror hotel, do not stay here!

I had an amazing stay at the hotel, thanks to the delicious food and excellent room service. Sandeep's culinary skills and presentation were outstanding and surpassed those of other top hotels I've stayed at in Ludhiana. In fact, his food was so good that I decided to extend my stay for another night. I also want to commend Vijay, Narinjan, and Sukhwinder for their highly professional and competent service in catering to all my room requirements and for going above and beyond their duty!

Nothing special in Park Plaza. Rooms are way old and tiny compare to other near by Hotels. Food is way expensive. I would never recommend Park Plaza to anyone. It might be good for meetings downstairs but nothing special if you are staying eith them.

Bad service and dated facilities

I used to stay at the park plaza a few years ago on regularly on many visits. Then stopped staying there due to lousy service. Then someone said they have improved when they stayed there in April, so i thought i would give it a try instead of the Hyatt.
Totally regret it as the service has not improved at all.
First, we turn up to our room and there was twin beds instead of a king size bed.
Secondly I had to chase up towels as there was only for enough single occupancy.
3rdly had to order flip flops, again only one pair was in the room.
4. Came in late on Saturday night from a wedding ceremony. Ordered some water, coffee and toilet paper!! No one turned up.
5. Sometimes there was no shower gel left or body cream regardless of used with empties still in the room.
Lighting in the room did not work adequately.
The hotel is a lot more convenient for my stay which I visit 3 to 4 times a year
But I really can't see myself staying there in future 😕

When you are in India forget about normal western life as India has it own chaotic rule. Hotel was a sanctuary for me it was highly recommend and I was not disappointed. Sandeep served excellent coffee on the first morning and we knew at least hotel will be heaven.
If only the hotel could arrange tickets on train that would life easier.
I would give 4 out 5 without hesitation.

This was my first trip to India and I had a terrible experience with this hotel. I re confirmed the hotel twice prior to my arrival at the airport. They were two hours late for the pickup. I resorted to asking a complete stranger to use their phone to contact the hotel. The driver arrived with no sign indicating they were there for my pickup. Horrible customer service from both their transportation services and hotel staff. Didn't have any issues with other hotels I stayed at during my trip. Do not recommend this place and will not be going back.

The hotel has gone down badly to say the least! About 8-10 years ago it was a good hotel to stay in. It was my second stay with-in 2 years, and it’s getting worse every time. The cafeteria staff are trying very hard to keep the guests happy, but can’t say the same about the management. They are rude and lack customer service. I stayed here in Oct 2016 for 4 nights with my wife and my son, we booked 2 rooms, after 2 days stay a duty manager asked me to pay my bill (as I had already spent a lot of money on food and drink) he said it was a hotel policy to ask for money as soon as the it get to a certain amount on my account! This time noticed, the rooms were not cleaned, the glasses and cups in our room had dirty grease on them. Came back unexpectedly to my room one day, and noticed a room cleaner washing cups and glasses in bathroom wash basin and drying with a dirty hand towel. The bathrooms are dirty and smelly, rusting in places, the sealant silicon is black with dirt. Overall, not a good place to stay, certainly NON a 5 star. I would say it is more like a 3 star at the max

Disgusting hotel, would not even give it one star.

The air conditioning was switched off in the rooms. Rooms had a view of a terrace covered with pigeon dropping. Dead files trapped begin windows. Complicated 3 way shower, no bath tub. Shower area got swamped as drainage was inadequate.

Loud music from wedding hall downstairs meant could not catch a wink of sleep in the night. Avoid like the plague.

The hotel has a great staff that are friendly and always helpful. There is a indoor mall or shopping area with restaurants less than 1/4 mile down the block on the same side of the street. Very easy to walk to. The property and the rooms are nice, but starting to show some age and are in need of refreshing. Nothing wrong or bad however.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times ovee the lsst 5-6 years. The staff and service is excellent, however the standard of the hotel overall is going down. It needs a major clean up, and bathrooms need better amenities.
