My family and I visit within an hour of Owenton, KY every year, sometimes multiple times, and this staff was by far the friendliest we’ve encountered! Very helpful, super friendly, and we enjoyed the pool!

The hotel is older but still in good condition. Our room was clean and had everything we needed for the stay. The bed was comfortable. Check in was quick and easy. Check out was also quick. They offered us a trip bag when we checked out with goodies we would need on the road...i.e. water, snacks. Breakfast was really good with plenty to choose from with workers checking on the food and keeping it well stocked. There was plenty of food to choose from. The pool looked clean and inviting although we didn't use it. I would recommend stopping there.

The Elevator inspection was 2 months expired. Breakfast they were out of everything. The apple juice looked as though it was watered down. Waffle maker was out of mix at 8 am. Had to ask them to refill milk because the milk was also empty.

I got in late, around 3:30 am and they let me know that I couldn’t check in or stay there because my room was unavailable. The receptionist called and said she found me a room but I would ONLY have to pay the pet fee- RIDICULOUS SINCE I ALREADY PAID THEM ONE- but I said fine when I went to the other hotel they let me know I had to cover the room AND the pet fee. So not only did the Hampton Inn take my money and deny me a room comp because of THEIR ISSUES, I had to pay both of these charges A SECOND TIME. I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS CHAIN OR SISTER CHAINS AGAIN. DO NOT RECOMMEND. STAY AWAY.

The room was comfortable and clean with 1 exception. The bathtub drain shutoff was dirty underneath. I noticed because I have 2 young children who took baths.
The staff, with the exception of one person, were not friendly or easily found for assistance.
The breakfast wasnt great. Fresh fruit and yogurt are usually staples and werent offered.
overall we were pleased and would stay again.

It was clean. Good pet area. Pet friendly. Disappointing that pool was not open. Tub drain could not be closed so my child who is a bilateral below knee amputee would not have been able to take a bath (since cannot stand safely to shower) if I did not have duct tape to put over the drain hole.

Overall a great stay. I was surprised that there was no room service offered. We typically don’t require it, but for this stay we had an issue with the shower curtain and water getting on the bathroom floor and had to use 2 towels to clean it up. We had to go to the front desk for new towels

Hampton Inn was clean, comfortable and well-maintained. My only issue was that we were traveling with a dog and after making the reservation through Expedia, I called them personally to let them know I was bringing the dog. No one told me that they charge $50 for pets. That is exorbitant! But, I had no choice because it was already 10:00 at night when we checked in. I wish Expedia had a way to include the pet reservation at the time of booking. That way we could be sure of the cost and details. We were gone for 3 weeks on this trip, and several other hotels charged different rates for dogs than what was on the Expedia site. That was very frustrating and I even called every motel after I booked with Expedia to make sure my dog would be welcome.

Disgusting hotel and level of cleanliness. We like to stay at Hampton Inns as they are typically budget friendly, but clean and well cared for. The hotel was so smoke-filled and masked with chemicals that my kids were up all night coughing. All the other hotels on the area were unfortunately booked and this was the last room available. At least we can look forward to a shower, right? We only were provided with two towels despite booking two beds and the conditioner was gone. There was a used plunger sitting on the carpet across from our room door. There was hair in the breakfast potatoes, so we decided to forego breakfast as well. I have never been so disappointed in a Hampton Inn.

My sister & I stay at The Hampton Inn Carrollton each time we visit our mother in KY because the beds/bedding are so nice as well as the bathroom. This was no exception. There were a few things this time that caused me to give a bit lower rating than I normally do. Not huge items but thought I'd mention. When checking in we'd booked a 2 queen bed non smoking room but was given a king. We were told that Hotels.com had us reserved for a king yet my email & printout both reflected 2 queens. Fortunately one was available & we were switched right away. The room had just been cleaned but there was a very odd odor in the room we assumed was from the cleaning agent. We had to ask for toilet tissue as the roll was almost empty and a spare could not be found anywhere in the room. Lastly, there was a pillowcase missing on one of the pillows.
We always like the complimentary breakfast & coffee & the staff are very friendly & willing to help with any of our needs. We recommend this hotel & will continue to stay here on our future visits to Carrollton.

The employees here are great. Very friendly. We were sad to find out after check-in that the pool was broken. I am a former Hilton room inspector and found the room and hallways to be very clean. The breakfast spread was amazing. Something for everyone most days.

We arrived and though the attendant was very busy between checking in people and taking calls, she was courteous, helpful, and very competent. We enjoyed our stay and will remember this hotel the next time we're in the area. The breakfast the next morning was also well done. Again, the attendant was busy, but she did a wonderful job of helping the guests.

The ac unit sounds like freight train.
Missing /broken tiles. Some kind of brown stuff on the lamp. Building looked tired and worn out.
Tried to report to front desk upon checking out but no one was there . Out of coffee in breakfast area.
Overall just not what we have come to expect from a Hampton Inn

We love staying at this hotel! We visit our mother abot 3 - 4 times a year who lives in this town and now only stay only at The Hampton. We've tried other hotels in the area but nothing is as comfortable as this one. Beds are comfortable & bathrooms very nice with the amenities you need. Always very clean.

Location was right off the highway. The parking lot was well lit and with plenty of parking available. Easy check in. Super clean rooms. Toiletries are top of the line. Complimentary wifi and breakfast was yummy. Fyi the pool at this hotel is under construction therefore it is closed until further notice. Highly recommend and will definitively be booking a room there again when we travel in the near future.

room booked for two night and paid for. two queen beds for four adults and a four year old. arrived at 5;45 waited 15 min and no one at desk so I left. came back later 10 or so and was told did not have a room.o Offered a king room with one bed.They did get me a room at holiday Inn and that was a nice room but still do not see why I did not have a room after I had booked and paid for one.

Overall I had a great stay. The room was very nice and updated and very clean. Bed super comfortable! The onmy complaint I have is the appearance of the outside does. Kt match how nice the inside is. The room was nice. The hotel atmosphere was nice. It was all clean. I forgot my toothbrush so I got one from front desk which was very helpful. Breakfast was decent. Had issues with our toilet stopping up and overflowing as soon as we got there, got a plunger from front desk, then it stopped up again the next day. There weren't enough towels or wash cloths for us (4 people) when we checked in so we had to get some from front desk. Housekeeping removed dirty towels from room next day but didn't remove the trash or bring clean towels or wash cloths. Called to front desk. Waited half hour, still no one came. Called again and was told to go find housekeeping in the hallway, got 2 towels off a cart. About 2 hours later housekeeping came. Pool water was cold, room was warm though. No towels when we got there so called front desk for some. Had a friend and her family stay in a separate room. Her room carpet was wet so she had to be moved to a different room. There was remodeling going on on the first floor but it was only loud once while we were there. Even with that, there wasn't of a mess.

I really try to be a positive person and not complain but this trip really upset me. We got to hotel Friday evening and the pool was closed NOT hotels fault, a guest had decided to leave feces in the pool instead of a toilet so it had to be cleaned. What upset me the most was that Saturday morning when I went to get ready for the day I noticed that my Victoria Secret perfume was missing from the bathroom.....I can tolerate a lot but not a thief, not ever. I am waiting to hear from General manger to see if there will be any sort of reimbursement back in regards to this matter.

Newly renovated room, bathroom door would not latch shut. 3 night stay, door left open 2 days after cleaning despite informing front desk that door would not self close the first time. Self closing hinges are old and weak. Observed stairwell fire doors that would not self close shut.
Wifi very weak on 3rd floor. Staff was friendly and breakfast was very good.

We stayed here Memorial Day weekend so we could go to a car show in Madison, IN. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy, & breakfast was good! Especially the zucchini bread! YUM!! The only thing I would recommend is to hire more help! The lady running the breakfast buffet was also checking people out & doing a million other things! She was super duper friendly...the nicest employee you have! She needs a raise! ALSO...the breakfast area & the lobby NEEDS AC! Everyone in there was absolutely miserable considering it was almost 90 degrees or hotter in there at breakfast time. Kids enjoyed the pool! My dad’s show trucks were safe overnight as well! We’ll be back!

Very nice property. Very clean. Great extras (cookies at check in), coffee/tea available all day in lobby. Super friendly staff. Pool was only place that could use some work. It was almost pitch black in there at night as almost all the lights were out. Handicap rooms have only a roll-in shower so it makes it hard to not completely flood the bathroom when you take a shower. There’s also no place to put bottles in the shower (no tub ledge) so everything has to be on the floor. The shower head height adjuster doesn’t work so tall people have to get creative trying to wet their hair.

Renovations were going on while we were there. The door next to ours was completely covered in dust. Our toilet wouldn’t work and was not too clean. Someone checked our toilet and for some reason the water had been turned off. No idea why. No more cleaning done and no other rooms available. The next morning there must have been some event going on since there was a table set up right next to our room and people sitting outside of our room by 6:30am. It was strange.
