Great hotel with an amazing overall experience. The location is okay and the surrounding area is fairly simple—not exactly a posh neighborhood—but once you step inside, the ambience is wonderful and very well maintained.

One of the best things about this hotel is how quiet it is, which is really essential in a busy city like New Delhi. Overall, a fantastic stay and definitely a place I would recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This experience at Leela fell well short of my expectations. I have always been a big fan of the brand and have stayed previously at The Leela Goa (now St. Regis), The Leela Palace Delhi, and most recently The Leela Palace Udaipur. I was attending a wedding in nearby areas of Delhi and booked three rooms immediately when I saw Leela, but the experience turned out to be very disappointing.

Most of the rooms had a strong damp smell, and unfortunately this was the case across the majority of rooms we were shown. My wife was taken to see several rooms, and in the end we had no option but to upgrade to a large suite, as it was the only one without the odor. The upgrade cost was almost four times higher than cancelling and re-booking again based on the price visible on the website, which was frustrating.

The staff and service were also far below expectations. The day after the wedding, I was unwell and my wife tried to take some fruit up to the room for me, only to be challenged in a very disrespectful manner by a manager. A few days later, the same manager confronted us again when a medical therapist briefly met us at breakfast, despite us having already taken prior permission from the staff who welcomed us.

In addition, the general areas of the hotel feel dated and in need of an update. The only positive part of the stay was the food and service at Delhi 32, which were truly top-notch.

The staff were exceptional, from the buffet managers and chefs to Ankur, Bimal, Pankaj, and the rest of the team. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and smelled of roses every single day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to staying here again in the future. In addition, we really appreciated the strong security presence, which made us feel safe and comfortable throughout our entire stay.

I travel often and across many countries and cannot remember a hotel I have enjoyed staying at more, from the fast efficient check in and check out, food quality and variety covering local and international cuisine, but most of all the service. Every person we came into contact with was interested in us, where we were from, welcoming us to their country, and so helpful, asking if they could do anything to help us, truly different to most hotels nowadays, but very welcome and sets the hotel above other, perhaps perceived “bigger” names. If I am back in New Delhi, The Leela is where I will stay.

The hotel managers and the revenue staff are NO good. Zero empathy and greedy. We had to cancel 2 rooms hours after the cancellation deadline because my father had a heart attack and could not leave Ahmedabad.

They asked for medical documentation and then offered me credit that expired in 2 weeks instead. I provided everything and doctors notes and they charged me for both rooms for the entire weeks stay.

They are not good people. Do NOT stay here.

Hotel managers, revenue team and guest services should be ashamed. We had to cancel 2 rooms few hours after the cancellation cutoff due to a medical emergency. My father had a heart attack and was stuck in Ahmedabad hospital and could not fly to Delhi to join us.

The staff had no empathy and cared only about money. They insisted on charging full stay for both cancelled rooms. I provided medical documentation and was willing to provide more. They are heartless, DO NOT stay at this property.

Not staying with Léela anymore and not using Expedia ever in my life again. I am a Marriot Bonvoy member- staying with them forever. Made a mistake and tried Expedía and the Leela but it left a bad taste. Adios forever!

We had a great stay at the hotel- the room was spacious and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The breakfast buffet could be improved to include a wider selection of options. Staff were friendly and were generally eager to help. The spa was fantastic, we had treatments and both staff delivered fabulous massages! We used the hotel car services for a few days and a massive thank you to Rajan for his professional and excellent services- he is a true asset to this hotel!! The only improvements suggested would be for more signage around the hotel as there are different towers and something to make the corridors smell nice as they do not smell great. Thank you for an overall great stay!

We stayed at The Leela Ambience Hotel for our Honeymoon. If you are visiting this place for honeymoon, anniversary or a romantic couple getaway must consider the upgrade to premium suite. Its totally worth it. We really loved this place. The staff went above and beyond to take care of us all the time. Everyone with smile and greetings like hello or namaste all the time. I wish i had wrote names of everyone who helped us and took care of us. However, i remember some. Sumit at restaurant Cafe Knosh is a very pleasant and great at service. Also, Mr Purshotam at the ground floor, i don’t know which position he is at, concierge or guest service but he was there all the time taking care of us if we need taxi or any help, very nice and kind person. The buffet at Cafe Knosh is totally worth it, variety of food and desserts. The front desk staff was also amazing. I wish we had more days in Delhi. We didn’t had enough time to enjoy the pool, spa, fitness center and other activities provided by the hotel. If we ever come back to Delhi, we will definitely stay again at The Leela Ambience Hotel :)

Restaurants and breakfasts are amazing! Ate some of the best Indian food of our trip!

Received an amazing massage at the spa, always a highlight.

What really delights with all my stays at the Leela are the staff. They are so helpful and will go above and beyond.

During our stay I got a bit sick and needed some medicine, I'd called asking where we could find a drug store of pharmacy but instead was offered a ride to the closest one. Which was so helpful as we'd learned Google/Apple maps was not a reliable source!

They also offer late check-out for a reasonable price when your flight doesn't leave until late at night.

Overall, the hotel was clean, comfortable, and presentable. However, our experience had several disappointments that affected our stay.

First, the assistance or offer for a room upgrade, even though we inquired and the price difference was significant. When we paid the final bill, we were shocked to find it was nearly double the original quote due to high taxes and hidden fees. We later learned there was an option to waive certain taxes, but the hotel did not inform us, which felt dishonest.

Our check-out was in the morning and like to be on time, only to find that the hotel-arranged driver to the airport was late. We paid over £50 (plus taxes) for the transfer and expected timely service.

Additionally, we had an upsetting experience with a hotel staff member who made inappropriate and discriminatory remarks about different religions, including Sikhism. As a Sikh traveling with a young child, I found this deeply offensive and unprofessional. While I understand people have personal opinions, such conversations are unacceptable in a hospitality setting where all guests should feel respected and safe.
We had paid over 4,000 rupees for the journey and overall expected a much higher standard of professionalism and service, especially from a luxury hotel.

The facilities are great: swimming pool, gym, sauna. Loved that bit. The room was cleaned every day, but exceptionally clean the last day. The eating options are a whole different topic. Food tasted great but the prices in the menu don't include taxes and whatever. Had one Breakfast buffet and it was beyond a price I'd normally pay for it. It's a shame that the eating options were so disappointing as the hotel itself is worth the stay.
There's not much around the hotel, a park and else a lot of rubbish.

The too luxurious with a view of Delhi. The included breakfast had alit of unfamiliar foods but the watermelon juice was fresh and delicious. The room attendants were very kind and helpful. The door men were the best. The hotel was very safe. There were fast food places down the street McDonalds, KFC at the local mall. Nothing else of interest around the hotel.
