A Family Vacation

Every time I vacation in Manila, I stay in Parque España. Conveniently located to many restaurants, Alabang Town Center Mall, Festival Mall, Molito Mall, Supermarkets, hospital. Clean and affordable with a great breakfast buffet and shuttle service. All the staff are helpful, professional and friendly. I feel safe staying here because there are guards at the entrance who are vigilant in checking all the guests that go in and out of the hotel.

The Orbits listing said “newly renovated” it is not. It’s old and run down. We asked to change rooms but the one they offered us was no better.

Zero customer service, we've waited for almost an hour for just a burger and pasta. The F&B staff left us at the roof deck without anymore assistance after serving the late food. The food was serve cold already. The staff are not accommodating even the front desk.

We stayed in Parque España some time ago so it’s our first time back in about 2 years. It’s a dated structure but I always appreciated the generous space. This time, we upgraded ourselves to a renovated room. It didn’t disappoint. The design was simple and, most of all, very clean. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The staff was very professional and quick to respond to any issue we had. However, there were issues with ants and roaches. One large roach was found alive and another was found dead in the sheets. A pipe had also busted leaving a sewage scent even after the employee installed an ionizer. Other flies and mosquitos were also noticed. Options for food were decent. Prices to do laundry were ridiculously high. I probably will not ever stay there again.

The drainage is not good on the sink and in the bathroom. The A/C is quite old and can't really provide the ideal temperature. The whole unit was very spacious and the location is really nice.

Pleasant staff and accessible to everything. However, everything that you ask extra you have to pay for, i.e., blanket, parking, which are free from other hotels. The room that I normally book (same price range) became smaller and they charged me almost 50% more for an upgrade per night.

Poor Man’s Ascott

I used to call this “Poor Man’s Ascott” compared to the more popular Ascott Hotel in Makati. Awesome staff and service but they have let the rooms deteriorate, i.e., spaces where removed appliances used to be were left exposed, untidy and annoying eyesore. Great location but you get what you pay for in terms of facility as well as the types of clientele - loud, inconsiderate, party animlas that go past 2:00 AM.

Comfortable stay

The location is very good if you want some peace and relaxation. It is within a city but has the suburbian feeling. The property is close by to at least two big malls with a huge selection of restaurants and different shops and cinemas. It is not too far from the airport which would only take ~ 20 minutes via the skyway/ overground motorway. However, since the building is ~20 years old, the rooms need updating e.g. new beds, sofas, kitchen units, cupboards, clothes cabinet. It would also be a bonus if there is a clothes washer/ dryer installed which is useful for long staying guests.
The staff were nice more particularly those in the housekeeping and security/ shuttle departments. Breakfast is good overall for pinoy tastebuds.

GREAT location, excellent staff! That's a good start for any hotel. Room, is nice, with a living room, sofa, nice TV, nice kitchen. Negatives: I've stayed there 3 times and this will probably be the last. Their showers never have hot water more than about 30-seconds, before it turns lukewarm at best. Not one time, in a total of about 30 days, have I ever had a \"hot shower\". I have asked them a number of times to fix it but they do not. VERY bad shower this time (I should have asked for a room change). It was raised, and I literally had to climb up two steps, with little to hold onto, in order to step down into the shower. It would be so easy for someone to fall and hurt themselves badly. Why would this place even have a shower like that? It's crazy bad. Overall, it has a great location in Alabang, close to the Festival and Town Center Malls, and the Commerce Mall is right across the street. That's the best thing this hotel has going for it. Can't grumble for the price

Hotel was clean and all staff friendly. In the financial district so felt safe at all times although seeing armoured vehicles and police with shotguns is a cultural change from England! HUGE shopping centre nearby called Landmark (they call it the festival) and another a little further away but no more than 5 minutes. Just about to have a refurb when we got there but disruption was minimal. The rooftop pool was heavenly (quite literally at 20 floors up!) and all drinks and cocktails were brought to the poolside. Prices were very reasonable and i recommend the peanut butter cocktail they serve as it weird but tasty! Breakfast was fully covered with something for everyone and eating out is very cheap. Room service was fast and TV channels were reasonable considering. Opposite the hotel is the Commerce Center Alabang with some restaurants (highly recommend Akrotiri as the manager is english and they sell London Pride Bitter!!!!!) the cinema was good (watched the Nun) and the massage parlour was excellent service and price. The only two negatives are that we were overlooked for morning room clean twice so had to physically go and ask for that to be done and while the free hotel shuttle service would take you anywhere, getting picked up was impossible (we never achieved it) due to the language barrier but taxis were cheap. Finally i would say that the large illuminated sign name of the hotel isn't working so make sure you get a taxi from the airport with the EXACT address.

It's a perfect location for being in Alabang with the Festival Mall and the Town Center Mall both on the same street about 1/4 mile in either direction. The hotel is not super high level, but comfortable. The biggest issue was a lack of hot water in the shower for more than a couple of minutes, then it goes lukewarm at best.

Favorite Home(Hotel) in the Philippines!

Since 2011, I tried to vacation yearly in my birth country! Parque Espana was still only a year or two when it was recommended to me by a friend! I love the home environment of it with different spacious parts of a living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom/shower/tub and at times an open laundry area. I enjoyed entertaining my guests here because there’s a restaurant Bistro del Cielo on the rooftop and a swimming pool and fitness center! There is also a Room Service whenever you get hungry. I had Boodle Fight parties with my High School classmates which was so delicious! Right before I left I had a Despedida Boodle Fight party with my family.
There is a shuttle for free to take you to nearby malls like Alabang Town Center, Festval Mall, Asian Hospital anc to the Airport! The Reception Staff are so nice to arrange a cab if I was traveling at a distance like to Manila Mall of Asia or Makati area. The can they arranged are safe with reasonable prices.
I love the clean and safe environment of this hotel in Alabang! My husband and I enjoyed walking in the neighborhood. There are plenty of restaurants and bars and movie theaters across and near the hotel.
What I love the most here is the professionalism, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.
I will stay here again next time I am in the Philippines!

A Home away from Home

I love Parque Espana! This is my type of Hotel whenever I am away from home on vacation, especially in the Philippines.
I love staying here because of the amenities...like internet, Shuttle to nearby area, restaurants and room service, the spacious style wherein there is a separate living room, large kitchen, bathroom, dining room just like a home. I can entertain visitors comfortably.
Beautiful and convenient location.
I feel safe in Parque! I enjoy my stay every time I stay here. Friendly and professional staff. There’s parking space.

The staff are the gems of this place.
Our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The location of the restaurant is at the penthouse. My 80-year old sister was not able to negotiate the 2 flight of stairs after one attempt. We ended up ordering room-service and/or buying food outside. I like it that the shuttle service is available to take us to the mall and back.

I booked one bedroom and my sister booked a 3 bedroom. The location is great, close to grocery and restaurants and walking distance to a mall. Both units were clean and fully equipped.
Issues:
- wifi was too slow and limited to 2 devices. When my husband complained, they did give him an extra code for and additional gadget.
- Doors need to be sealed better. A guest from our floor was inconsiderate enough to cook dried fish :(- wow, who does that in a hotel! The entire floor smelled plus all the way to the next floor where my sister was. Since there was a huge gap between the floor and the bottom of our door, our entire unit smelled of fried dried fish.

It was a very busy time. There was chaos in the lobby. Many people waiting to check-in. Rooms were not ready. The front desk staff had their work cut out for them. The guests were complaining but the staff remained calm and very professional. I booked 3 rooms. My family and I just waited patiently for our turn to be called. The rooms were all very nice and spacious. Room service was excellent. Buffet breakfast was ok. Swimming pool was small. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay.

The hotel location is perfectly convenient to shopping, commercial centers, and food places. Our room was large, with a kitchen, dining, and living areas. Great value for the price. The room could have been better kept and maintained (slow sink drain, shower door stains, shower grout condition). Otherwise, the room is generally quite clean.

A residence hotel that is a “Par for the Course”

Parque España has been and will remain my choice hotel in this parts of Manila. It is a walking distance to literally everything - good reasonable restaurants, massage parlors and for a golfer a couple of blocks from the golf range and a few minutes to the nearest golf course. The staff are always very helpful and courteous. The rooftop pool is nothing to brag about but good enough for a relaxing dip. The food and desserts are not bad either but alternatives are just a walk away orbyou can cook your own.

We had a 3 bedroom suite. The place is very old but the location is amazing and close to everything and easy to get to one point to another. The only problem is.. we were there at 7pm just for an overnight stay and our room is not even ready yet.. it took forever for housekeeping staff to prepare the room and i requested a wake up call - didnt happen (i was awake at 9 and tried calling to cancel it but no one answered but nobody rang to do the wake up call). Poor service, old facilities and great location.

Great service hotel! Rooms were REALLY BIG. They allowed us early check in and late checkout for free. They also have a shuttle that will bring guests to nearby malls and back to the hotel. Buffet breakfast was good as well. Although the aircon in the bedroom is not that cold.

Give Alabang a go instead of Manila

Typhoon warnings and ferry to Puerto Galera cancelled, since we knew in advance, we were lucky to book this hotel on line and get a better experience than booking a hotel in Batangas. Unfortunately we arrived a little early and room was not ready, however, the receptionist gave us a call as soon as room was ready. The booking see free wifi, unfortunately it was only free for 2 hours which was not much help as we were waiting for news when we should move to the harbour. Room is actually a suite room, with kitchen living room as well as the bathroom and bedroom, although the decor is a little worn, it is a nice property and allows you extra room rather than only a bedroom.

Overall stay was great except for the bad experience with the 2 male hotel staff on duty last Friday 7/7/17 7pm. As a customer they won't let you feel you are important. They would converse without even looking at you. I also had a bad experience with them on shuttle service, the staff forgot to tell that we were waiting for the shuttle to pick us up. We've waited for an hour and made several follow-ups. Later to found out that it was not communicated with the driver...

It's in fairly new condition and our unit was really nice. Pool on the roof was great. Nice property but could use some small improvement. We had to ask for more than one towel per bathroom in a three bedroom family suite. Kitchen is not equipped some of the basic utensils, pots and dish cleaning supplies.

Two small \"gripes\", hot water in shower didn't last as long as I think it should have.

\"I love this hotel\"

The title came from my 5 year old son. That's what he said when we stayed in Parque España last Dec.14 to 15. Me and my husband did not expect the room would feel like home. There's a kitchen with all cooking utensils, dining area with utensils, bathroom with tub which my son really took advantage of, rooms that are super comfy and a mini living room. The whole stay was memorable and we would definitely go back.

Well spent Birthday for my Sister

I originally booked a 1 Bedroom Deluxe but surprisingly, our room has been upgraded to 2 bedroom suite. Me and my family enjoyed it very much though the lights were so dim, and it made us a bit uncomfortable cos it's a bit dark, then the air-con is a bit hotter than expected. But other than that, your staffs are accommodating. We hope to check in again soon, and we hope for a bit improvement when in terms of your air condition and a bit improvement in your lights. :)

You get what you pay for.

Our room was an old one that smelled of \"dried fish\" upon checking in. Front desk promised to send someone over to help remove the stench but no one came. Furnitures are old and outdated (I noticed some paint chipping off the closets). 2 of the 3 aircon units were not working that well. Pillows were hard which made sleep really difficult. Parking is limited so we ended up parking on the street.
Service was good. They were very helpful and accomodating.... But the room? Terrible.

Very Very Poor Airport Pickup Service.

I called the hotel about a week before my arrival for pick up at the airport. My flight came in 1.00 am no-one was there to get me. After making several calls to the hotel with the help of airport securty guards i was pickup 2.45 the only person standing outside the airport. After this poor service they still expect me to pay 1200 pesos which is a ripoff. I paid it. Pickup service is very poor...just use coupon taxi or yellow taxi it will cost about 300- 400 pesos.

Hotel a bit worn, but decent value.

Rooms are a bit worn out. But very spacious. Couch very uncomfortable. Bathroom was quite small and kitchen was large but not well equipped. Only supplied enough utensil and plates for two. Wifi would not connect to several devices. Luckily I had a SIM card with data so didn't really matter. Front desk staff helpful and friendly along with service people. Generally a good hotel but a bit worn. Not bad value for price though, as rooms big and had access to kitchen.

It was only for a night and there's not much I can say except for two things;
1) I wish the front desk people could be more professional in addressing a guest, too friendly.
2) I wish there's a bath tub.

great hotel. Can provide private car for pick up and return to airport . Free shuttle to the malls and around Alabang. The staff is amazing , they go over and beyond in service and hospitality.

good but needs improvement

we really liked the set up of the hotel rooms. being a residence hotel, we had everything a family needed in the rooms e.g. kitchen, lounge room, dining and at least 2 bath rooms. however, they mislook on the number of people staying in the room and provided less number of materials to what was required e.g. a table setting for two when we were a family of four, towels and toiletries. drivers should know how to communicate well with their guest especially in drop-off and pick-up of guests because a couple of instances that they made us walk with groceries from the mall to the hotel. we went away for the whole day and we came back the room was not made still.

Ok for budget travelers, nothing more.

I stayed for 3 nights on business with a weekend, and found the quality of service is not the same as the other 3 hotels within half a mile. The room was just ok, more like renting someone's studio condo unit. Elevators and hallways are showing their age. Breakfast was mediocre at best. No ironing board in the room, and the request for one never got fulfilled. No pressing service either. Nothing wrong with the hotel, and this could work for a family vacation as long as you are not expecting any kind of extraordinary service.

Great location though. Across the street from a small shopping center with lots of food choices and movie theaters. Walking distance to larger shopping/eating areas.

Was a good stay, rooms are excellent spacy and clean, my one BIG regret was being charged 200 pesos for a soap dish that fell out of its holder and broke, I could not beleive they would charge a customer for that, very bad customer service.............I should have refused to pay it....
