Paradise 4 hours from Dubai, felt like I was in Maldives. Very nice staff, pleasant atmosphere, good option if you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy nature.

Resort is a little tired. Disappointing to be checked in to a room where the outside area had not been cleaned. Used cigarettes and matches littering the floor.

Furniture marked and tired in the room.

Staff very friendly and good service, food mediocre for the price.

Safari excellent, staff knowledgeable and great to see the efforts being made around conservation.

Overall relaxing stay, but some minor downsides that could very easily be rectified.

Overall the experience was satisfactory. The staff were very friendly and helpful as you would expect from a resort like this.
Al Yamm was short-staffed for check-in and in the evenings at the bar and restaurant.
Our pool was infested with ants so couldn't use it. We did complain and they sent someone to clean but after an hour or so they were back which was a shame.
When sitting outside for dinner, the lamppost hadn't been unwrapped which made an annoying noise in the wind. Just felt like the resort was not as good as it should be.

Magical escape from modern stress

We had a mesmerizing stay in Anantara Al-Yamm resort. The idea of combining both beach & safari excursions is extraordinary.

Service & food is what you expect from Anantara’s brand. 2 bedroom villa is spacious & recomanded for families/group trips.

After many trips to the maldives, we could see the resemblance in Al Yamm resort between both places.

Will definitely be back.

Nice, relaxing, expensive, but incredible island

My respect for the leadership of the UAE reached a new level after this trip - the late Sheikh Zayed was a true visionary - the variety of animals being bred (including endangered species that have been reintroduced to their countries) is eye opening.

The service is good and staff is friendly.

Good breakfast.

A lot of activities for children.

There is an old UAE Majlis there that has not been opened to the public - they need to turn it into a museum.

Go prepared to spend money. No alternatives available for meals (and no kitchen!!) so you have to eat at the resorts. I hope that the Anantara is using some of that money for island upkeep and animals.

All of this being said, there is a lot more untapped potential.

Room also didn't feel as bit as advertised (maybe patio included in calculation?) - but I could be wrong.

Too expensive, but nice anyway

We spent two nights at al Yamm, nice villa with a \"pool\". I wouldn't call that a pool, as it was too small to call it that. I believe the resort is understaffed since things come to you slow.. I advise brining your snorkeling equipments with you as the ones there are over-used and unusable. The food in the three resorts is okay, they are trying hard, I believe it would take them a few decades to reach the Maldives experience.

Had the most amazing stay at this resort, 100% recommend anyone thinking of coming here to go ahead and book! We experienced only the highest service, all the staff are friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need and more. The villa itself was very nice and private and the nature drive is definitely not to be missed.

A strange place but worth a visit...

We spent 5 nights on the Island the week after the F1 in Abu Dhabi and, as hoped for, had a peaceful and relaxing time. It is about a 3 hour drive from AD and well worth arranging their private transfer - we had a jag and a smooth safe driver! The crossing is about 30 minutes by boat and was fine, even in relatively rougher weather coming back it was still an OK crossing...

The Villas are nice to be in and have everything you could wish for. Room service was great and very fast.

good but....

Hotels.com did not make it clear before booking that not all the 1 bed villas come A lovely concept, beach front villas on an island with a safari park that is home to 5 cheetahs, 30 giraffe, onyx, and gazelles which often wonder past your villa make a wonderful sight. It's like Savanah meets the maldives.

The beach is not brilliant, yet another Dubai/Abu Dhabi manufactured beach so it was quite corrally, but ok.

The only problem we had was more due to Hotel.com than the resort. The room pictures clearly on the sight clearly show 1 bedroom villas with with plunge pools and this is what we thought we booked. On arrival however we found that only three of the beach villa's have plunge pools, which makes no sense whatsoever really, and ours did not have one, and no other villas with a pool were available. Until the resort manager got involved the staff had no suggestions on how to fix the problem. Eventually we were moved to another resort on the island for 1 night and moved back to a beach villa with a plunge pool the following day. We were only there for the week end so this really messed up our entire stay plus ended up costing us aed1000 more for staying in the other resort, which I was very peeved about.

Beautiful resort, fantastic stay

I spent four nights at Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Al Sahel Villa Resort, and everything about our experience was pretty much perfect.
Nothing I write can justify how every minute in this resort was just perfect. The staff are super friendly and professional. Villa was perfect, we were provided with everything we needed.

Fresh and good location. The rooms are spacious & lovely, Beautiful design, excellent communication and customer service, Food, sea services were amazing!.

Overall i had the best time. Highly recommend this place. It’s relaxing, full of activities.
I would defiantly go back there in the near future.

Spectacular location

My sister and I stayed at the hotel for one week, and it was worth every penny we paid. The hotel is situated in the picturesque Sir Bani Yas Island, that offered far more than we could have possibly anticipated. The individual villas provide privacy and seclusion from the other guests, which gives the illusion that the whole island is yours. 99% of the time all you could hear was the backdrop of the sea waves intertwined with the noises of nature. The hotel staff were accomodating and on hand. Extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel interior was designed by a well known UAE architect that reflects the true essence of the islands history and pays respect to its founder. I would gladly stay at this hotel again, and look forward to visiting in the near future.

Fabulous resort

The Anantara Al Yamm resorts are an amazing experience. Impeccable customer service and finely detailed luxurious villas make the stay memorable. It was perhaps the most exclusive and intimate experience we have ever had. The Villas are spacious and look out into the sea. Giving you vast vistas of sea. Watching the sun rise over the sea on a chilly morning with gazelles walking past would remain etched in our memories. Because of the small number of villas and low number of guests the whole property remains very exclusive. Its not like standard resorts with loads of guests and kids running around.
On the other side, Al Yamm has only one restaurant. which meant that options are limited. The xmas lunch at Olio was disappointing - an expensive 6 course mediocrity. The options at Desert Island the sister hotel also on island are much better. We had dinner at Palm on the Desert Island resort which was a delight. Sarath the manager was always at hand to help us navigate thro the great spread. Lobsters and jumbo prawns with lemon butter were done just right and succulent.
One thing to remember is that at Al Yamm the costs can rapidly add up. There are many activities to be done. The safari is a must and so would be horse riding or archery. Do remember that they are all costed separately and can add up enough to double your expenses at the hotel. The meals other than breakfast are costed.

A desert island sanctuary in the heart of the UAE

The Al-Yamm Villa Resort was a little piece of heaven nestled amidst the sandy desert of the Sir Bani Yas Island. From the timid sand gazelles on the beach to the soothing waves washing up against the shore, the views from the private villas are stunningly divine. The staff was simply the best staff I have ever had at any hotel, which included going above and beyond the norm to ensure our safety, comfort and wellbeing. The hotel rooms were nothing less than world class. My only wish would be for the resort to have more culinary choices.

Nice location, hotel experience was good overall however more attention to small details would take it the experience from good to great. Pro's: the beach view room was divine, staff were lovely. Cons: the room had a funky smell from the drains and their spa wasn't of 5 star standard.

2ベッドヴィラに宿泊しました。室内の広さ、インテリア、またプライベートプール付きのシービューのテラスなど、感動したのですが、居室の強烈な匂いに辟易しました。ホテル側に確認したところ、アラブ人好みの香りであるがお気にめさない方も時々いらっしゃるとのこと。応急処置にはミントのスプレーをしてもらい、まずまず耐えられるようになりましたが、やはり朝まで嫌な匂いが残りました。そこが非常に残念です。

Absolut entspannter Urlaub

Wir genossen einen traumhaften Aufenthalt in einer Villa mit Lunge Pool (Wasser sehr warm, keine wirkliche Abkühlung). Direkt aus dem Bett ein wundervoller Blick aufs Meer, wer Ruhe und Entspannung such ist hier genau richtig. Private Sonnenliegen mit Strandtüchern und ein Sonnenschirm haben uns direkt zum Nichtstun animiert. Service und Personal waren durchweg zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit, jeder Wunsch wurde uns erfüllt. Allerdings sollten die Auflagen der Liegen und Kissen im Restaurant mal gereinigt oder erneuert werden. Hässliche Flecken und tote Insekten haben in so einem Haus nichts zu suchen. Auch den wunderschönen SPA im Nachbarhotel haben wir genutzt und ausgiebig genossen. Läuft alles unkompliziert, Buchung über die Rezeption und zur vereinbarten Zeit steht ein Shuttle vor der Tür. In den beiden anderen Hotels kann man auch Abends gut essen, ebenfalls bequem mit dem Shuttle erreichbar. Kurzum ein gelungener Urlaub an welchen wir gern zurück denken werden.

otrolig villa på stranden ett paradis men.......

Att ta färjan hit till denna ö Sir Bani Yas Island, är otroligt känns lite som ett paradis.
På vägen såg vi en giraff och gaseller , lite surrealistiskt !

Att bo i en lyxig villa direkt på strand är magiskt, att dessutom ha gaseller som springer fritt runt villan woow

MEN dag 2 ingen städar stranden dvs plockar upp gasell avföringen.
Hela hotellet som bara har 1 år på nacken, känns redan mycket slitet.
ex 7 av 10 palmer vid poolen är döda.

Menyn stämmer inte med vad som serveras på tallriken.

I den layed back attityden Sonja Greenshields villas manager driver detta glömmer man bort Anantars 5 stjärniga service och standard

Som gäst nämnde vi alla våra klagomål direkt till henne, inställning var ej tillmötes gående utan nästan aggressiv
- vi har fått rabatt så varför klaga ?

Anantaras rabatt, de har ett low season offer bokar man 3 dygn så får man 30%

Ska jag som fått rabatt få en sämre produkt och ej kunna klaga.
Jag trodde i min enfald man ville locka till sig full beläggning och nya framtida gäster.

En stor besvikelse !!!
Fick detta bekräftat, dels genom min villa granne som är en stor chef från Marriott hotels Dubai
tyckte och upplevde samma sak och att vi senare bodde på Anantara Qasar al Sarab.
Där service och upplevelse var outstanding !

Tolle Lage - maues Essen

Die Lage direkt am Sandstrand, die Sauberkeit der Villa und die Privatsphäre sind toll. Alllerdings ist das Essen für ein Hotel auf 5-Sterne-Niveau eher traurig. Das Frühstück ist leider nur Basic und das Abendessen meist zu lange gekocht bzw. gebraten. Am Service gibt es ebenfalls noch Steigerungspotenzial.

Sehr gut. Folgende Kleinigkeit könnte eventuell weiterhelfen: 1) Das Swimmingpool war in Reparatur. Wir konnten es nicht benutzen. 2) Die Freude eines upgradings in eine Villa mit Pool wurde mit einem Zimmerwechsel 1 Tag vor der Abreise vernichtet. 3) Wir sind demzufolge 1 Tag füher nach Abu Dhabi zurück. Das Geld für die nicht benutzte Übernachtung wurde nicht ganz oder teilweise zurückerstattet.

E' stata una bella esperienza le spiagge sono meravigliose sopratutto per chi vuole pace e tranquillità e per chi piace fare sport, l'organizzazione è ottima come pure i vari ristoranti . Si trova a 2 ore da
Abu Dhabi e l'hotel ti organizza la trasferta con macchina privata oppure per chi si può permettere pure con un aereo privato.
Bisogna tener conto anche degli orari dei traghetti onde evitare aspettare troppo sul molo per arrivare sull'isola.
