Comfortable stay but could have better service

I stayed at the hotel for a night and had a good night's rest. The hotel markets itself as a 5* hotel but I would rate it as closer to a 3-4* hotel. The room is big and comfortable but it is starting to show its age.

The check in process however could be improved. There was a lot of confusion with the front desk staff which resulted in a delay to my check in.
1. I booked a rate with breakfast however at check in the staff claimed that my room has no breakfast. I had to show them proof of my booking before they checked their system and extended breakfast to me. This was regrettable. The breakfast however was decent
2. I had paid for an extra bed in the room. However this was not set up and only set up after I had arrived. The service could be improved

A very memorable short holiday with the family. The stay was very enjoyable especially among a very professional and friendly staff. After a full day of water sports, we would chill and the enjoy alive BBQ dinner with the belly dance show.

Amazing stay

It was very good we enjoyed the beach and the kids trampoline also the resources were very nice a football field along with golf and volleyball and an excellent pool. We also enjoyed our breakfast there was a very nice variety of different foods and the service was honestly amazing especially Sharifa was very kind welcoming and caring during our breakfast she served us a very delicious and tasty omelette and overall very friendly.

This is a next all-inclusive staycation package. Great beach, play area, garden, grass field, pool, beach volleyball, kayak, peddleboard and great TV channels. Exceptional food and beverages. The hotel has a great bar as well.

Nice experience overall as expected from the earlier reviews. Staffs were very warm and helpful.
Couldn’t access the beach due to some oil spillages from a nearby ship. Went there for our 5th wedding anniversary, they provided a nice room decor and also arranged a cake for us. Enjoyed the outdoor pool and the cafes.
Will visit again.

since there is only one pool, I think hotel should make some rules for pool usage, PARTIES SHOULDNT BE ALLOWED.

Kids seen drunk adults partying at the pool with intimate relations, this should be fixed by making another pool.

A great resort

Another lovely stay at this beautiful beach resort. I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 night stay. It was so great to spend time each day in the beach and in the pool.
The room was extremely comfortable, with an idyllic view of the sea.
All staff were very friendly and professional. Special thanks to Charity and Owen, the security team and parking staff who were most helpful and welcoming.
The dining room in the evening could be very busy, but the Italian restaurant was peaceful and atmospheric. The Italian food was fantastic too!
Thank you to all. I look forward to another stay in the near future.

Stayed here for 2 nights and the check in staff were very welcoming! A very comfortable bed with good WiFi and spacious room made for an enjoyable stay overall. The hotel was fully booked so the pool was packed to capacity and the seating for dinner and breakfast was also very full. They needed more serving staff and more prompt service to seated guests waiting for drinks. The food was nice enough with a good variety of bfast options but some of the buffet food wasn’t hot enough. It was great having good coffee on site but you had to pay for it. Overall - a nice stay but eating at the hotel wasn’t the best experience and a little more staff training is needed I think. However, staff were very friendly which did help put a smile on your face.

I hadn't stayed at the Danat for 8 years, but it was just as good. The room was spacious and comfortable, although would have been nice to have readily available toiletries rather than pump dispensers. Seemed a waste of plastic, that each towel was individually wrapped. Special thanks to Rebecca, waitress in he main dining room. She is so calm, quiet and professional. Also, to Ahmed, concierge, who was very helpful and professional. Thank you!

Relax

The Location is 30 min aprox from Ruwais, very calm. The sea is amazing, and the greenery landscape makes it an oasis in the desert. The food is great! Would recommend to pre book meals on check in as you can get discounts instead of charging them the room. Thanks Evangeline for the close contact with us, the cuisine is so good because you promote communication with guests :)

Resort is awesome no doubt about that. Villa quality is not up to the mark. There were plates and microwave in the kitchen but no wash basin. No hot water in the bathroom. Iron that we asked was of poor quality. There was a frying pan in the cupboard but was wondering how to use it. Sliding windows were not working properly. But other than that the outer world like beach, meals and service compensated it. I enjoyed my stay but I guess I pais too much for the villa and could have stayed in the room

An experience which will never be disappointed..!

An amazing experience worth trying.
It's a great place with great staff and u can enjoy all the 5 star experience in this place.
It has a Private beach as well as pool, the rooms are mostly beach view. Located further away from abudhabi it makes it difficult for other Emirates people to reach here quickly.
The nearest biggest town is Ruwais which is like 15 mins drive from the resort.
If you need to escape from the town busyness and need a peace of mind go for this place, stay for a night or two it ain't so experience when compared to other big hotels which give the same services.
Never forget mention the breakfast which is worth trying.

The resort looked and felt like it's in need of renovation. In terms of service, the check-in was a little slow with only one functioning counter staff. They did give me a free upgrade to a villa so that gets a couple of bonus points. Loved the heated pool and the sea-facing deck chairs on the beach. Food at the bar wasn't too bad, but the live band was mediocre and the choices of tipples was small. But of course this is a resort in a Muslim country so we should not expect too much in terms of alcohol. The red wine was drinkable and inexpensive to boot! Overall, an average stay with different pluses and minuses.

Staff was incredibly accommodating and the food was delicious! The place was fully booked but you'd never know. It was spaced out and there was a lot of beachfront to relax on with lots of seating. The property was clean and very comfortable.

There were two downsides: One woman at the front desk named Adinal was very uninformed and gave incorrect information often. I often had to go to other staff who had to answer my questions.
The other was there is currently construction on the breakwater in the gulf which meant noise (even at midnight). While I could sleep, it could get loud outside occasionally.

We are still coming back very soon and are excited!

An escape to desert paradise!

What a lovely hotel,far surpassed expectations. Had the pleasure of being upgraded to one of their chalets which was gorgeous, a couple of minutes walk to the main hotel building and the beach but provided extra space and the advantage of having an outside patio with seating/table/light.

Hotel room was very good - bed exceedingly comfortable with different sized pillows to suit, individually controlled bedside lamps and reading lights. Big advantage, often forgottten by hotels, electricity points by bedside. Air conditioning was a little noisy.

There is a media player in the room with music piped to bathroom. Bathroom well designed - the most powerful shower I have ever experienced but designed so that it didn't flood the bathroom! Good in bathroom hair dryer too - a rarity! Room storage was plentiful with adequate hangers etc.

For some reason mini bar was not stocked but tea & coffee making facilities much appreciated.

Used Spa within hotel - and had the most incredible massage, thank you!

Beach was idyllic - set with many sun shades and sun beds - never busy. Also option of many beds around a pool and pool bar. Ability to order drinks and food to be served on the beach - fab!

Room service and food was exceedingly good - value brilliant and presentation/service superb.

Bar was great fun - incredible band - with voices to rival any chart group!

Hotel reception was helpful at every contact - booked return cars with short notice, organised luggage

Giving three overall rating because of the room and the resort itself. Beach becomes extremely dirty during the evening which is the peak time to visit. House keeping and reception do not pick calls. I wantef to get my room cleaned and waited for 2 hours for some to come then reminded the house keeping again. Food quality is below average and over priced. It seemed like the only thing they are maintaining well is the pool however they have put some much chlroine that I have got skin allergy. Funny part was there were Dhafra Beach resort plastic bags inside the hotel however they should have their own plastic bags. Nanny was not available to take care of the children so we didn't even do any activities. Complete wastage of time and money!
