The staff work very hard to keep Villagio clean. Adequate breakfast included. Staff are very helpful. The beach location superb. Lidl and eateries 5 mins away. Catania 10 mins, stunning city. Would go back. Yes property could be updated but the location and service made up for this...

So much potential here but what a disappointment. The property is run down, there was some sort of dance party with a stage that played base on Saturday night that didn't stop until 0530. No sleep. I booked on Expedia and the property details said laundry facility, there is none. The property price gouges on weekends but we didn't have a choice for the location. They open up their property to non guests to pay for the beach access which leads to over crowding and difficulty finding parking. The bathroom was so old and gross and room was dark and old. For the price you should go out of your way for a different location.

Do not recommend!

Okay, I know everyone says this, but it is RIGHT by the airport and sooo loud. Also, they do play loud music on the beach till 1 am. The beds are HORRIBLY uncomfortable. The pillow is even worse. We had about half a roll of cheap toilet paper which was all used before we even went to sleep. No extra. Office closed. Yuck! The towel bars are propped on the wall, broken.It is soo dirty because it is on the beach. Nice sand beach though. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was very good. The beach is extremely dirty, litter everywhere. This is the definition of a no frills place to sleep. Way overpriced for what it was. The front desk lady is nice and helpful though.

This is very close to the airport which worked for our early flight. The resort is set up like a beach resort with one story buildings that span the property. There was a band playing the night we stayed that was very loud so I had to wear ear buds to sleep. The rooms seem outdated but were spacious and were good enough for what I needed. The check in process was fast and they were friendly and set up a cab for us for 4 am in the morning. Overall I’m happy with what we got for the price we paid.

Having missed our flight home due to losing our passports, we tried to find some last minute accommodation near Catania Airport. Options were limited but this property was advertised as a bungalow with a private beach. Sounded nice for 1 night.

We were horrified when we arrived. The bungalow was just a small square building with 1 room for beds, kitchen and a table, and a separate room for WC & shower.

There was loud music blaring out from a nearby beach for most of the night plus the noise from overhead aircraft taking off (no chance of triple glazing here). In addition we found 2 cockroaches in the room. Suffice to say, we didn't get much sleep that night.

The free breakfast was also poor. It was a buffet but not much choice on offer. The coffee was cheap & nasty and the food choices were of poor quality.

I could understand if this was a budget resort, but the room cost an incredible 200 Euros (170 tax) for 1 night. To be fair, the private beach did look quite nice and I suspect this is why it was so expensive. But honestly, don't stay here if you value your sleep.

only down side was the on site restaurant, which will not deter me from staying there again as I can easily eat somewhere else.

I don’t believe there is any mention of being under the flight path of Catania airport you do have to be very tired to blank the noise .2) Finding the hotel is difficult it may be 1mile??? But this is as the crow flies all the locals say it is about 5km.3) The complex of chalets is known as signed on the street as La Cucaracha.We must have wasted 25 min trying to find the place

Far from the centre, the bus goes rarely. Cold room, few hot water, no kettle, no microwave, dirty, no heating in the bathroom. Poor breakfast, no warm food, good coffee. Nice staff. It is a paradise for summer. Good restaurant, nice wines.

The beachfront room was very clean with a great view. It is a great place to stay if you want to stay on the beach, but not if you're looking to spend time in the city. We went on the off season so not much was going on and the hotel is very far from the city center. A lot was closed at the hotel so the pictures were very misleading. The wifi barely worked in our room, but was good on the beach and in the restaurant. Breakfast was great and the staff was friendly.

review of booking Villaggio Turistico Internaziona

The advertising of this accomodation is completely misleading.Not a hotel it is a chalet in a summer holiday camp.
on arrival we were shocked to be put into a tiny dark freezing chalet.The the positioning and appearance of the chalet bore no resemblance to the pictures and description on the expedia site.The receptionsist was sympathetic and explained that they were always having such difficulties and had asked for this to be made clearer.Following a telephone conversation with presumably her manager we were transfered to a chalet which was larger, brighter and facing the sea as pictured in the advertisement. The room was cold, with huge cracks in the front windows and no cutlery/crockery. it was very clean and tidy. In the summer I would imaging this would be pleasant for a holiday camp type holiday but the whole site and beach was rubbish strewn, stacked with dismantled furniture and stalls etc which presumably are set up in summer. The camp is obviousy shut for the winter and lacks facilities for winter residence. The Restaurant was the only facility on site and had huge drafts blowing in. we had to sit with our coats on to eat a very cold, mediocre meal,with stale fish cost 65 euros. We hardly slept as it was so cold. the radiators and tiny aircon unit did not work. The aircon heater was activated the second day but was insuficient for the room. Breakfast was served in a dark freezing room next to reception but was adequate.We arranged other accomodation after 5 sad days

All in one Brilliant

Nice and cosy bungalow right on the beach,couple of great bars,restaurants and nightclub.All in one,no need to go else where.Staff are very friendly and helpful.Also Italians are so generous.The beaches are beautiful and well looked after.Did some jogging every morning with the beautiful scenery of Etna volcano,the highest and active volcano on European continent.
Had an amazing experience,will definitely go there again.
I think for 3* hotel it's pretty amazing.
Ps.I've seen others reviews ATTENTION-for does moaners who booked 3* and expected 5* common it's clearly not they fold but yours.If you expect Bahamas you gotta pay for Bahamas right !?

Very Disappointed

If you like a dirty outdated hotel.... this is the place for you! It is unfortunate because this resort has great potential if it would be updated. The distance to the beach is wonderful... unfortunately that is the only upside.

Rooms: Are so small it is uncomfortable, dirty (I cleaned multiple cobwebs) and outdated. On top of that our shower plumbing, air conditioner, and refridgerator did not work.

Restaurant: The restaurant La Botte was terrible. My husband found a hair in his meal, so they agreed to cook another one.... the next one came out with undercooked chicken. The manager became rude when my husband insisted he was not paying for his meal. The FREE breakfast was just as sad. The only protein provided was sliced ham. The yogurt was passed the sell by date and the crossaints were stale.

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

A party atmosphere

Unfortunately I didn't look into what type of facility the Villaggio Turistico was - It's basically a young over the legal age party place with music ending about 4am from the beach party. The rooms are more like a poor men's college dormitory - mine didn't have a shower curtain or chairs for the \"dining\" table. The highlight of it all was the guest relations people in reception who were both outstanding in doing their jobs, thus the \"5\" ranking in that column. The sheets were clean, the room was clean but in disrepair and anyone over the age of 22 should probably choose another hotel. It is a 20euro taxi ride from the airport.

Strange self catering hostel

This is a strange venue right at the foot the of Catania airport runway. We were in a self catering \"villa\" but in reality it was an empty shell. Nothing in the way of cooking equipment or crockery supplied which made it kind of useless. The on-site restaurants aren't great either. This seems to be more of a venue for locals who use it as a weekend or summer retreat and rent the \"villas\" or beach huts. The staff were not overly helpful either and I don't think that was the language barrier either.

Direkt neben unserem Bungalow, befand sich eine Diskothek. Wir konnten nicht schlafen, Musik wurde bis halb 4 Uhr morgens gespielt. Um Mitternacht suchte ich die Rezeption auf, der Rezeptionist erklärte mir, er kann nichts machen, da die Diskothek einen anderen Besitzer hätte, aber das „nur“ bis 2 Uhr Musik gespielt werden würde.

Auch beim Check Out haben wir darauf hingewiesen, dass uns nichteinmal mitgeteilt wurde, dass sich eine Diskothek unmittelbar zum Zimmer befindet. Keine Entschuldigung, keine Entschädigung.

Wir haben zum Glück nir eine Nacht in diesem Zimmer gebucht nach unserer Ankunft in Catania.
Das Zimmer hat nu ein kleines Fenster, welches man nicht öffnen kann, weil sonst der Scheinwerfer direkt ins Zimmer leuchtet.
Auch der Dampfabzug der Küche vis a vis dröhnt extrem.
Die Flugzeuge starten und landen direkt über dem Resort, was ein Höllenlärm macht

Pour commencer, on me donne une chambre avec un problème électrique, résultat, pas de lumière en arrivant, je demande quelqu’un, on me réponds que c’est normal, c’est la clim qui fait tout sauter…
Voyant mon regard, on me donne les clés d’une deuxième chambre, quand je rentre, de l’eau partout à l’intérieur de la chambre devant la porte…
Je n’aime pas tellement déranger, j’ai donc nettoyé par moi même, j’ai déplacé les meubles pour enlever l’eau et j’ai retrouvé tout et n’importe quoi sous les meubles, très mauvais ménage.
Je suis resté une semaine, on as plusieurs fois oublié de me recharger le shampooing, ou de me donner du papier toilette, super.
Un matelas incroyablement inconfortable, sans parler des avions qui décollent toutes les 5 minutes a 200 mètres d’ici.
Le restaurant était vraiment moyen, pas de carte en anglais, je demande ce qu’il y a dans un plat, on me répond du bœuf, je le prends, on me ramène de la dinde…

Pire expérience.

Si vous arrivez ou partez de Catane en avion, ce village touristique est idéalement placé pour une première nuit ou dernière nuit et un premier ou dernier bain de mer.

Évidemment, à cause de la proximité avec l'aéroport, des avions passent juste au-dessus! Mais pas dans la nuit!

Le petit déjeuner est inclus dans la prestation.

Les bungalows sont un peu vieillots, mais la literie est bonne. En revanche, la réception de la TV est mauvaise et il n'y a que 3 chaines qui fonctionnent.

Le personnel est très gentil mais le lieu est bruyant et j'ai du aller voir la réception car le frigo était plein de moisissures. Du coup, ils l'ont rapidement changé.
L'internet fonctionne assez mal voir pas dans la chambre. Le positif est la plage juste à côté de l'hôtel.

Déjà, le camping est difficile à trouver parce que le nom \"La plaja\" est écrit en tout petit. Ensuite, chambre équivalant à une cellule, pas même de table de nuit. Le robinet de la douche nous est resté dans la main lorsqu'on a voulu l'ouvrir. Plage correcte mais avec une terrasse dont le toit s'est effondré et les stores sont en lambeaux et ce n'est pas récent. Le camping est situé dans le prolongement de la piste d'envol de l'aéroport.

Usato come B&B va benissimo.

Ho solo soggiornato per lavoro perché in zona era praticamente tutto pieno. Alla fine è andata anche meglio di come credessi. Stanza pulita, non il massimo del comfort ma andava benissimo per quello che mi serviva. Colazione normale, un po' come andare al bar a prendere cappuccino e cornetto. Ovvio che il mio non può essere un giudizio utile a chi vuole passarci del tempo al mare.

Hôtel correct pour dépanner si on doit rester une nuit et reprendre un vol le matin .... ET ENCORE . malgré la proximité de l’aéroport, il faut faire un GRAND détour EN TAXI OBLIGATOIREMENT pour y accéder. (Comptez 26€) Confort très rudimentaire. Peut convenir si vous prévoyez des vacances “camping” en bungalow. Cepandant le Staff est TRES TRES GENTIL :)

Les deux points positifs sont la situation sur la plage et la proximité de l'aéroport.Sinon un avion toutes les trois minutes qui décollent ou atterrissent, accalmie de 01h00 du matin à 06h00....juste sur le centre de vacances, situé en bout de piste.Salle de bain hors d'age, pas de pression d'eau, propreté plus que douteuse.

Из плюсов: хороший пляж, мало народу. Красиво садятся/взлетают самолёты. До аэропорта 20 минут пешком, пройти на параллельную дорогу можно там, где взлетают/садятся самолёты, там есть тропинка, рядом ещё светофор.

Из минусов: в бунгало не ловит Вай-Фай, надо выходить на улицу. До ближайшего продуктового магазина, 20 минут пешком в сторону города, на кругу, где заправка. В ресторане пиццу готовят только вечером. В номере нет посуды. Шум от самолётов, но они ночью не летают. Одну ночь, играла громко музыка на дискотеке, закончили только в час ночи.

The hotel area outside was nice, but the room was very old.
The tiles on the floor of the room and bathroom were stained and in a bad shape.
The furniture was also in a bad shape.
The toilet in the bathroom was not working properly and the water was running all the time.
I do not recommend to stay in this hotel.

The obly two good things: AC worked well and it was very closed to the beach.

Avec la discothèque extérieure qui hurle de la musique jusqu'à 5h du matin, il est impossible de dormir. Sinon, l'hôtel est situé à quelques pas de l'aéroport de Catane et sur le bord d'une plage correcte. Le restaurant est aussi acceptable.

Luogo eccellente per fare esperienza di sopravvivenza. I commenti negativi precedenti, sono stati scritti da persone che non sanno cosa significhi sopravvivere alle condizioni più estreme, che non hanno messo affrontato i percorsi da marines, che non sono riusciti a superare i propri limiti. Un luogo adatto a portare gli umani a confrontarsi con le vere sfide della vita. La musica techno disco fino alle 4:00, gli aerei che ti entrano nel bungalow, orde di ragazzini fuori controllo che cercano di assaltare il tuo covo, l'aria condizionata che funziona come la burocrazia italiana... Perfetto! Salvo Pippo lo Sri lankese che lavora lì, che si impegna, il resto va proposto a Dario Argento per il prossimo colossal.

Week end à Catane

Rien de luxueux mais emplacement sur la plage... chambre bungalow propre. Deco un peu datée mais ça va.
Point négatif, le bruit des avions au décollage.. mais aéroport fermé vers 23:30.
