This expansive and luxurious resort provides an ideal base for nature lovers in Xofen Township, Hualien County. The resort is spread over 250 hectares of lush greenery near two national scenic areas - the East Coast and East Riff Valleys.
Additionally, the Taroko and Jade Mountain national parks are about an hour's drive from the resort, and the National Dong Hwa University is just a ten-minute drive away. The property features a Spanish-style architecture, décor and theme.

Charming villa, but could use some updates
The hotel has a charming atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, the location is great for a peaceful getaway. The atmosphere felt cozy, and the amenities were adequate for my needs.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but there are a few areas that could be improved, I did notice that the hotel feels a bit outdated and could benefit from some renovation. The facilities, including the furniture and bathroom fixtures, show signs of wear and tear, and it would be nice to see some upgrades.
Regarding cleanliness, while I understand that being in a villa surrounded by nature can sometimes bring in bugs, I did find a few insects in my room, and there was a spider on my bed, which was a bit uncomfortable. I know this can happen in older, nature-surrounded buildings, but a little more attention to detail in this area would go a long way.
Overall, it's a lovely place, but with some updates and improvements in cleanliness, it could be an even better experience.

Our second time here after few years and it is still an enjoyable resort to stay at.
Now with two kids we did appreciate even more the quality of the staff.
The swimming pool and the kid's pool are definitely a big plus too.
We can tell that the resort starts to age a bit but overall well maintained. The only issue was some bad smells in the bathroom from the drain.

Comfy Beds in Hua Lien Country Side
The hotel is located at the country side of Hua Lien. It takes about 15 mins to the town centre. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. There are a lot of activities for young kids. Good for family vacation!

The activities for kids were fun but it would be tough if you don't speak Chinese. Despite using repellant I was covered in mosquito bites which made the stay unpleasant.

I have been living in the East for about 5 years now, and have settled in Taipei as an English teacher. My dad and two older brothers haven't ventured out of South Africa, so I only get to see them when I 'go home'. My mom has visited before. But for the first time in my life, this time I gave my mom a holiday she has never had yet always deserved. I spoke to colleagues and friends about places, and the first resort that came out of mouths were 'Promisedland'. As we arrived for a two night stopover there, I knew that the start of our holiday was as good as I had hoped for. The land was enormous! This place was, in fact, the start of a full month of memories I shared with my 67 year old mother, and her youngest son proudly treated her like a queen. We were caught by the rain in half-hidden saunas, we baked bread (rip off, but still fun), the food was good, but too many odd things that my mom wouldn't attempt with her 'sticks'. ha! There were things that kept us walking around the resort. The creeping, well-established vines and the statues of roman goddesses were breathtaking.The tune on the lagoon ride is haunting, and I was lucky to hear it again going back to the station. Any place is what you make of it, and pretentious people might pout. I take with me a wish that we could have stayed just one more day to soak it all in. And thanks to the guys on the golf carts - keeping us from the rain and moving us about with huge smiles!

14:40抵達lobby check in,告訴我要等房間清潔，直到15:30才通知我入房，這都沒問題。
在我check in後的每組客人都是check in就送進房間，就是我遲遲的等待，在lobby坐等，看著後來的客人ㄧ組組離開，別人不尷尬我都尷尬。我往停車場車上等櫃檯通知，看到的也是車停進來就立刻接走。（這天入宿的客人不多）。15:30終於通知我，可以到櫃檯換房卡，告訴我升等蜜房房型，結果是馬桶會滲漏水的房。（這點我沒有向櫃檯反應，也懶得說了）

家庭旅遊的好去處
本次是家庭旅遊，理想大地佔地十分寬廣，因為家中小孩都小於六歲加上天氣炎熱，最喜歡的設施是游泳池，可惜因為疫情關係，兒童池沒有開放，而且一天只能預約一個小時的時段，但是得來不易的玩水時間還是讓小朋友們十分開心。免費搭乘小船游河體驗很不錯，一邊聽著船長介紹，理想大地的運河水源來自上游天然集水區，再通過運河流到下游的河流裡，所以水才能保持流動清澈。住宿環境房間還蠻寬闊的，可惜床的大小比起我們過去住的雙人床稍微窄了一點，但寢具都很舒適。房間提供的mini bar可以免費享用各式飲料，而且隔天房務人員還會補充新的飲品，跟贈送的小點心蜂巢糕，十分貼心。房間提供的UCC膠囊咖啡機也蠻好喝的，國內的飯店相對較少見使用UCC咖啡機，也是蠻新鮮的體驗。早餐種類還算齊全，可惜咖啡機出來的義式咖啡口味較淡，濃豆漿是不錯的選擇。吃早餐的餐廳，面窗的角度可以看到外面庭院造景，小型瀑布，心曠神怡。

原本只計劃住一晚，一進了房間之後，大人小孩都很喜歡這裡，整體空間很大，窗戶外面就是河流景觀，馬上又追加了兩個晚上。度假村活動很多，很多是付費活動，但是因為可以不用出去外面，又可以讓孩子很有事情可以做，所以還是很值得。
