Friendly staff who really listened to my requests and accommodated me as best as possible, plentiful and fresh breakfast. I like that the chambermaid noticed that I had propped up my pillow with a blanket and placed an extra pillow there. I usually ask for a 2nd pillow but it was quite late and I decided a blanket would suffice. Further to the pillows, they were too much on the hard side for me though!.

We liked the neighborhood itself. Very close to bus stations, train station. So, basically you come from Mestre Train station and walk ≈10min. Hotel itself clean and nice. Breakfast is good (eggs, cornflakes, bread, cheese, ham). Very recommend it.

Best bargain hotel

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel. It is located in the beautiful Mestre. Location is perfect. There are restaurants, cafes and supermarkets all by walking distance. Taxi costs 30 Euros to Venice.
Beds were comfortable, room was very clean and shower was satisfactory. I got all I wanted with the price I paid.

It was a nice property! Very nice room. But in the Expedia description they mention a 24/7 free shuttle to airport. Be advised this is not true, the shuttle is just a taxi that they call for you, and it is the set city price of 55 euro.

The room did not look anything like the pictures. The shower was dingy and filthy - we did not use it! The hotel was SO loud in the morning as if the walls were paper thin, you could hear people breathing - not even joking. There was no proper lights, the curtain opened and there was not a window behind it. The only positive was that the bed was comfy enough. When we checked out we asked if we could leave our bags in a luggage room - we were then instructed to leave our bags inside of the cafeteria area as they didn’t have a luggage room. They said it would be safe but it didn’t feel it as we were not given any sort of ticket to say it was our baggage and anyone could have taken it. Luckily they didn’t! I would not recommend this hotel if you are staying more than one night.

Nice and convenient 😃. This hotel is very clean. Update bathroom. Nice size. Walkable. Less than 5 minutes walking to the bus station. ( Just in front of the hotel).Bus #7 take us to the historical center of Venice whose journey takes about 20 minutes to get there.

Worst experience ever

The hotel is worst that we've ever experienced. We got the first floor but when we went out from lift, we needed to take stairs up & down to go to room with our big luggages. Inside the room it's very hot. We opened the window but we closed it right away because we felt no safe since there's big deck outside, dark & dirty. Other than that it's tiny shower room with broken door. We saw they only put half curtain to replace the broken door. We need to watch very carefully when we took the shower, to avoid any flood. We only got half toilet paper and no backup stock. There's mosquito as well in the room.

The hotel is located in convenient, safe and quiet area, close to public transport which takes you to Venice in about 15 minutes. The staff was very helpful, reliable and friendly. My room and all public areas were always clean. The breakfast was excellent, there was a wide variety of fresh foods, good coffee. This was my second stay in this hotel.

Very dirty hotel that was unswept at arrival. Room was on first floor and very loud. Could hear people all night. Area around the hotel is very dangerous. Not a good choice for solo female travelers. Had a 2 night stay and left after the first night.

The hotel met my expectations. It's located in quiet and safe location, only about 20 minutes from Venice by tram or bus. The cleanliness was 100%, the breakfast buffet good. The only thing I was not very satisfied with was the Check in. I came to the hotel at 1.30 PM and the reception staff told me to wait for 30 minutes until the Check in starts up. Right after me came 2 another families but checked in right away. I was sitting in the chair in the lobby and waiting but nobody would call me to check in unless I was reminding them.

The hotel site says there's onsite parking for 13 and half euroes, but when we arrived they said no, we dont have on site parking!!!! We had to drive not too far, to a paking which was a bit confusing to find.
The breakfast area (pay extra) was sooo crowded and no warm options.
The poor lady there was working so hard to keep the over crowded place running!

The AC does NOT work properly, the shower flooded while I was there, you can hear everything. EVERYTHING. The staff was not too friendly. Finding a taxi was hard. It is far from Venice so you pay 23-35 euros per ride. Stay in Venice!

This hotel is an okay type hotel in Mestre. The main advantage is its location. It is 1-2 min walk from the bus stop, and you can take a bus (7 or 7E) to come to Piazzale Roma. The rooms were very small, and a bit stuffy. The air condition did not work properly.

Venice is beautiful! Mestre area is quite urban!! The hotel itself… avoid if necessary!! First thing opening the door was a cockroach on the floor!! Window was open! Had to check the bedding which was immaculate clean! Bathroom ok, it was a small room but it was just for sleeping! Didn’t sleep at all as guests were in the corridor drunk and laughing hard at 3 am!! No wifi password was given and they don’t answer the phone! Gentleman on the first desk in the morning was ok, polite but didn’t let me have breakfast because kitchen was going to close in 12 mnts, someone walks in after me and he lets them in…. Its a cheap hotel, but some cheap hotels offer warmth and cozy hospitality! This was not it

Quite disappointed with our stay at Hotel Centrale. The room was okay upon arrival until we discovered a severe leak from the air conditioning vent. We informed staff of this leak in which we were told it would be amended the next day or we would be given a new room, leaving us to sleep in damp conditions with an active leak all night. Upon returning to the hotel after a day out, it appeared the leak had been fixed and floor cleaned but within an hour the leak was back and worse than ever, this time water was constantly pouring from ceiling opposed to dripping. We informed staff once again and this occasion the staff were no help at all, this led to a sleepless night due the heaviness and noise of the leak.

We had a great stat at the Hotel Centrale. The location was reslly convenient for us, as was the pricing. It is very easy to catch a bus to Venice from this hotel. €1.50 each way and it takes just 15 minutes. Don't waste money on the Venice hotels. This one will serve budget-conscious travellers more than well. It is very clean,well-heated, and close to shops and restaurants. I'd also like to mention that the staff is very friendly and helpful at this hotel. We had a problem with a broken suitcase and the receptionist on duty (unfortunately we didn't catch his name) went out of his way to help us. We will definitely come back next time we are in the Venice area.

We liked the breakfast and location was good.
despite my request for a double bed, were given twin beds and mattresses were too soft.

I asked for another room with double bed, they again put us in a room with twin beds although better room was definitely better.
I think something was lost in translation. I wish I spoke Italian.

A good hotel in a decent area. There’s bus lines that stop near by. We had a little hiccup with the AC, the staff had to to come up to the room and set it for us. Room was modern and comfortable. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Their breakfast spread was good. We did have a hard time communication with the locals outside the hotel, it seemed like no one spoke English but we manage to sign language our way thru it haha. We only stayed for one night. We were given directions by the hotel staff for the airport bus stop but as always haha we got a little lost but an Italian man pointed it out for us - we were 1/2 block away and couldn’t see it.

Decent hotel in the centre of mestre. Easy reachable restaurants. Excellent transportation to venice from the hotel. Only downside was hotel room was bit small and the shower room too. If you are staying for a one or two nights, you can go for it as rest of the things are good.

I chose this hotel thinking it was close to train station but it isn't.
Hotel is old in need of maintenance everywhere. My room was a double but it was about the size of a cabin on a cheap cruise
Bathroom was old, shower smaller than cruise line small shower (less than 3' by 3')
Place smelled humid and misty.
Room maids leave room windows open and turn ac off so when you arrive the room is very unpleasant
Breakfast room is a joke
Elevator was unavailable most of the time
Bed was uncomfortably hard and unpleasant

Very close to Venice. There was a supermarket close .. There was also a square piazza where there were lots of restaurants and a variety of different foods to eat I felt safe there.
WiFi not the best this is an ongoing issue in Italy.
