The room was clean but the mattresses were a little lumpy. The building and elevators are old but clean. The statues that they have decorating the entire hotel are quite dusty. The staff was all very nice.

Water pressure in the shower was great, got hot quick and stayed hot, better than most other hotels. This hotel does have you leave the key at the front desk when you leave the hotel and you show a card with your room number on it to get the key back, I’ve never had to do this before, not sure if it’s common practice but took me by surprise.

The room was immaculate.
Bed was huge, bathroom was a great size and towels soft and fluffy,
The staff were fabulous and the breakfast was amazing. Plenty choice, fresh and delicious
The only downside we had was not enough socket outlets. Only 1 we could see or access. However our stay was awesome and would throughly recommend and hope to visit again very soon. This hotel was quirky

Great art deco around the hotel and entrance. Love the staircase design. Breakfast was wonderful. Staff helped with calling taxi. Helped to answer questions about the trams. English was used by the front desk staff to help with our questions.

The breakfast time was CIRCUS. The elevators are tiny and if you have luggage you might have to bring them up or down by stairs since they are always busy. Horrible experience

Rome was a highlight of our trip and it was ALL because of hotel Ripa Roma.
The location in Trastevere was perfect. We walked to all the sites and had so many restaurant and cocktail bar options. The restaurant in the hotel was also good and hosted an awesome happy hour. The morning breakfast options were fantastic.
If you have a chance to stay in room 805, the view from the wrap around terrace in incredible.

This hotel was more than I was expecting. The room was a nice size and was very clean. The restaurant Ripa Place that was part of the hotel had good food and the lounge that opened earlier than the restaurant was a great place to unwind with some drinks. Speaking about the drinks …… some of the best I had ever had. The bartender was amazing. Happy hour deal for a drink and buffet that ran from 1800-2100 was a great deal for 10 euros. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Very large selection on everything. I was not expecting such a choice and was impressed. Highly recommend this place to stay when in Rome.

A bit out of the centre and in an area that felt a bit run-down. Hotel itself was OK, except for the tiny, slow elevators. Room was OK, but nothing to get excited about. Breakfast buffet was very busy with terrible coffee, but otherwise OK.

Fabulous hotel room and view!

Room was phenomenal - junior suite with amazing outdoor views. Location was perfect and our interests were walkable. Only downside, parking garage is closed on Sunday until 8pm, but street parking was available closeby. Otherwise, fantastic hotel and we've already said we'll stay here again when back in Rome!

It is an aesthetically unique hotel and the attached restaurant was nice. We checked-in early, so maybe the room wasn’t ready, but the carpet and bathrooms were dirty and drains didn’t all work.

The hotel is tolerable to spend no more than a night.The air conditioner is not enough for the size of the room. Be aware there is no blow dryer and iron for your clothes.

Excellent, safe area close to very nice restaurants in the evenings. Easy tram line into the city. Modern deco style hotel with funky light up ducks outside, quirky statues in the lobby. Large room and bathroom was really big also. Decent buffet breakfast in morning. Staff were attentive and helpful. Was some noise from other rooms on occasions(not really Hotels fault I guess). All in all, a decent hotel and would stay here again if needed in Roma

The staff here was great! Breakfast had spot of options and some of the BEST tomatoes I’ve tasted in my life. My only issue was the AC in my room. It never seemed to get cool. They sent someone up to look at it & he told me being that the room was large, that’s why it couldn’t get cool. But I also feel like all of Rome doesn’t really have good AC. Other than that, 10 out of 10 for this hotel!

Breakfast is awesome and the staff is friendly. Our room was 80 plus degrees and never cooled off. The air conditioner leaked water down the wall. The room is dated and needs some updating. The carpets look dirty. The bed was comfortable and clean.

I would only stay here one night max. The walls are dirty and the carpets have a funk. The lobby presents well. But the rooms are not well kept and everything smells smoky. Carpets were soiled. Like I said this is fine if you’re coming in and out and want a cheap stay before the airport. The neighborhood is also not that safe and I would not walk around here at night. They also have traditional keys which you have to give back to them every time you leave the property bc they are way too big to carry (I assume by design). This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. The one good thing is the front desk arranged our airport transfer which was super helpful.

Funky hotel with interesting decor throughout. The room was spacious, but some parts of the room and bathroom were a bit outdated - good products though.

Breakfast was also good and lots of options - worth adding to your reservation.

Front desk staff was really helpful when asking about checkout/taxi service/storing luggage.

Fair warning that if you ask for them to order a taxi to the airport, the fixed 55€ taxi rate to FCO applies but they also add another 10€ for the hotel pick up. We were sure we were getting the fixed rate until it was time to pay at the airport. The taxi driver advised that if we just got a taxi off the street then it would have been 55€.

Most of the staff is great. The breakfast team was very nice to accommodate my diet restrictions. Breakfast is great, with lot of options. Big rooms, nice location. Room have a balcony as well. On the negative side, the room is too old, outdated, don’t believe in the nice new pictures you see online, I was very disappointed. While in the lobby and breakfast spaces you feel you are in 2030, in the room you feel you are in the 1980. Room furniture does not make any sense. Pillows are very hard, not fluffy or soft. Elevators are very old, it shakes and makes a lot of noise, doors does not close fully (it was a bit scary every time we go into the elevator).

Stayed for 2 nights, booked a standard room and was upgraded to a superior room.
The room was very modern and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Nice bathroom with soap, shampoo and amenities kit. You can request an iron from reception. There is a mini fridge and a balcony.
The bar at the hotel was very good. They have free snacks available when you buy a drink.
The breakfast was very good.
Staff all very helpful when needing directions. There is a bus/tram stop a couple of minutes walk which can take you to main attractions.
It’s about a 10 minute walk into the main area of Trastevere. This area is great for food and drinks.

Clean, Comfortable and Convenient

Located in Trastevere, Hotel Ripa Roma is a gem of a boutique hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was fun. Its location is great in that it’s just off the beaten path from the hustle and bustle of central Rome but still walkable to many attractions. When in Rome be reminded to where comfortable, supportive footwear because the best way to see everything is exploring on foot!!
There are 4 elevators to take you to your room…they are quite small which is not a problem but I thought I’d mention.
It’s charming that in this modern designed hotel, guests leave their handcrafted oversized hotel key at the reception area/front desk when theyleave and retrieve it when they return.
No issues with water temperature or pressure.
Our stay in Rome was short and we were tired from traveling so I guess that’s why I didn’t take room photos but I assure you it was clean, comfortable and spacious. You might read reviews saying a little outdated and/or worn…do not pay attention.
We enjoyed staying here while we visited Rome.

The hotel itself was just ok. The staff at the reception desk were very good but the restaurant service was terrible. The first night we were there my wife and I sat at a table for thirty minutes without service and it was not busy.
I even went to the bar at one point to remind them. We left and never went back. The room was the biggest disappointment. The furnishings reminded me of something a college kid the first time away from home might have. There were two steel chairs and a steel outdoor table on the balconey. In the room there were no chairs, no dresser to put clothes in or for my wife to make up and no closet. We literally lived out of our suitcases. The only reason we stayed is because we did not want to waste our vacation time to research and move.

The breakfast lacks some fiber options but still filling for someone without any allergens or food preference.

If you’re vegan or celiac, you might find options quite limiting.

The hotel is located at a very safe location near all public transit options that you’ll need, if you are going for some site seeing.

The hotel was well-located, offering convenient access to transport links while remaining outside the busy tourist areas. I stayed in a double superior room (a complimentary upgrade), which was spacious and clean. However, the bathroom had a slight sewage odor—noticeable but not severe enough to report. Breakfast was decent, with a modest selection but still met my needs. At night, I could hear voices from adjacent rooms, which made it a bit noisy, though not unmanageable. Overall, it was a pleasant enough stay, and I would recommend it.

Quirky and pleasant. The room came with a balcony which was wonderful.

Staff were super friendly and helpful.

Breakfast from 8 is a bit chaotic (other guests) as its hard to find a space. There is no system to seat people and its 1st come 1st serve. But its pleasant enough and runs well. I would suggest going earlier or close to close.

Machine coffee is not good, but everything else is wonderful.

I would definitley come back amd stay again.

The hotel is in an ok location. Walkable to shopf and restaurants. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was very good. Our room and the hallway on the sixth floor smelled like sewage the whole time. The air conditioning did not work well. Decor was dated and could stand to be refurbished but the room seemed to be clean in spite of the terrible smell. The bathroom was awkwardly laid out and the bathtub had very high sides so anyone with any even minor mobility issues would have trouble getting in and out for a shower. The onsite restaurant was convenient and the food was very good.

The hotel stay was very good. Centrally locates, clean and friendly staff. Morning breakfast was good. If I had any complain it would be that the Internet service was awfully slow and the hotel room did come with a mini fridge, but one publicly accessible ice machine somewhere in the premises would have been good.

Strange room set up with the bed in the middle of the room. Minimal space to put bags, suitcases, belongings - it was annoying trying to get ready. Trying to go for the “cool factor” vs. functionality. Bathroom was a bit grungy, cracked sink, peeling paint, could have been a lot cleaner.

Nice stay overall. Property has some fascinating architectural features (look up when you’re in the lobby, quite hypnotic!). It is dated, though. The family room in which we were staying had a fun layout with separate kids room and plenty of space in the airy living room, but could use some renovations. 400$ for one night wasn’t really cheap. Breakfast (included) was great, and the staff there was very kind and helpful, just like the front-desk team. We chose this place also to be able to park the car safely for just 20 euro, but we didn’t even need that as we found convenient street parking (could see our car from our balcony). Location is convenient, tram taking you to Trastevere and towards downtown was great.
