I thought this was a great lodging and dining option given the location in a small rural town. I was initially worried driving down this short gravel road to get to the hotel, but the owners are doing a terrific job keeping up an older property. Even if not staying here, I would recommend eating at their restaurant.

The stay was fine overall, but the room I was given looked quite different from the photos on the website. It seemed to have older furniture and wasn’t updated like the rooms shown online, with a few stains as well. If you’re booking, it may be worth asking for one of the renovated rooms so the experience better matches the photos.

Good value accommodation, nothing fancy, but for the price, very clean and has everything you need.

Our only complaint is the shower head, the pressure was so low it was difficult to have a comfortable shower.

If they had replaced the shower head with better one, our rating would have been higher.

We stayed here over the Australia Day long weekend (Saturday to Monday). While the location was convenient and the room itself was in good condition, the service and amenities were a let-down.

We were disappointed to learn at check-in that there would be no room service on Sunday. This meant no fresh towels, no bed-making and no garbage collection. We also ran out of toiletries, which was frustrating for a holiday stay.

There were also basic logistical issues with the room. Although I booked for three people and the room could fit four, all cutlery, plates and cups were provided for only two. When I asked for more, the staff seemed surprised, which did not make sense. Furthermore, despite the room having a fridge and microwave, there was no table to eat at.

Overall, while the hardware of the hotel is fine, the lack of service and attention to detail made the stay far less enjoyable than expected.

The picture on Expedia did not look like the room we had.
One quarter of the room was taken up with a bathtub spa, the sofa was on the same wall as the tv so no watching tv from the sofa. The shower had a flimsy cloth shower curtain.
Room was clean but bathroom looked tired. There were dishes and a microwave so easy to make your breakfast.

What a great place to stay! Accommodation was spacious and clean with plenty of amenities. Check in and out was easy and quick. Grounds were lovely with gardens and birdlife. location was excellent, we had bad experience with kettle. I guess somebody used that with tea inside and wasn't clean luckily, I checked it prior to bowl, so had to use microwave instead because it was late night. but next day Belinda changed the kettle.
I suggest the management to open an entertainment area and cafe as well, ppl come for holidays not to stay inside the room, kids require some activities.... I have seen other places which attracts more visitors. Please carry a lot of food as you only can find pubs around.

Nice unit for a few nights while we were in the Prom area. Big room, comfortable beds. Older style bathroom, could have done with an update. Couldn't get heater to work, no staff at reception to ask about this. Walking distance downhill to centre of town.

The property was clean and it had all the basic things provided. The location is quite good as its about 45 mins away from Wilson prom. Its all highway driving.

There are some cafes located just about 2 mins drive from the property where you can grab a quick bite for brekkie or lunch.

Keep drinking water handy as there are no stations to fill drinking water from. There is no coles or wollies. There is Foodworks from where you can buy things from if required.

As far as the property is concerned, the room was clean and tidy. Fresh towels were provided already. There was microwave, toaster, kettle, and itoning board. Coffee sachets, tea sachets, and milk sachets were provided.

The outside area is good for a quick walk and just to sit and relax.

The check in time is from 2 - 6pm. Expedia says its around 10pm. We arrived around 8 and there was no one at the reception. We had to call the number provided and keys were arranged for us.

Spacious unit in a quiet garden setting. There's plenty of room for a small table and chairs inside and this would help for eating meals. Also, there was no sink plug or detergent to wash plates, cups, etc. This makes you wonder how thoroughly the last guests washed the items you are about to use. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

Our first room had a jucuzzi in the middle of the bedroom. How ghastly! We were then told that it did not work, although we could have a bath in it. We asked for a replacement room, and were again offered a room with a jacuzzi. Finally we were offered a third room without a jacuzzi which we accepted. We were under the impression that there was a restaurant, and booked on this basis. When we arrived we were told that due to staff shortages the restaurant was closed. Not very good.

We really enjoyed our stay! Situated amongst very beautiful trees and bushes so good for kids to explore. Not far to walk into town, and Foster itself was a cute town with everything you needed and nice parks and reserves. The cafe/restaurant on site was temporarily closed unfortunately, but nice options for Brekky in town. Room was clean, well equipped and spacious enough to fit a portacot. Great stop as not far from Wilson’s Prom.

Neat and tidy motel.

This is an older style motel, which the owners have done a fantastic job of modernising. It's very comfortable and clean. It's situated at the edge of town on the South Gippsland highway. Road noise wasn't an issue at all. The motel is surrounded by plenty of trees and it was lovely waking up to birds singing and chirping.
We walked to the local pub (Exchange) and it took us about 10 minutes. The pub is in the heart of town, so all shops and supermarkets are there too.
We used this motel as a base to explore Wilson's Prom and it is an easy drive to make.
