Remember that this is a small country motel… not a flashy B&B or city accommodation.
Having said that, it is an excellent place to stay. Check in friendly, efficient and quick. Rooms clean and comfortable. Walk a few paces to the hotel for a great meal, and to some interesting little shops as well as essentials eg. chemist, supermarket, liquor. Cafes great for breakfast! A lovely barbecue and lawn area. Right opposite The Great Southern Rail Trail. Very safe and convenient for a single traveller passing through, and ideal for cyclists and walkers!

Was a lot of spiders web in the room and that night stepped on a snails while going to the bathroom at night and stayed 2 nights they didn’t clean my room I wasn’t happy from that

Friendly staff. The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The motel was right next to the Meeniyan Hotel so an easy walk next door for a pub meal. Liked the close proximity of the motel to all essential services such as the general store, cafes, petrol station etc. The only drawback was noise of heavy trucks driving past late at night and early in the morning.

Whilst it was clean. We paid 320$ to sleep one night in an old tired motel. I feel the room needs updating. The bathroom was ancient. It is way overpriced for what you get.

The people were nice and helpful. Simple rooms, but functional. However the room had a funny smell, the crockery and cutlery were dirty and the outside lights were on all night, which flooded though the top of the curtains, and made it difficult to sleep.

Great spot right in the town. Easy to walk to places. Room was clean and warm, bed was comfy; customer response was great! I made a comment about how mugs would be better than teacups, and not enough teabags. By the time we returned to our room, there were two mugs, full of tea bags and extra milk.
Negative points: only small things, like my pillow was lumpy, inconvenient plug points - only first world problems!!

Sad to say, in my room the freezer in the fridge doesn’t work which I needed to freeze the ice pack so that I can keep my medication cool during traveling. I was thankful that it was a cold and rainy day and also it was last day of holiday, so it was not too much an issue, wouldn’t like that to happen on my first day of my holiday.

The main bed was super comfy but the room is very tired looking. Clean bathroom and bedding. Unfortunately there was a fight that happened at the pub next door that went on for about 2 hours when we were trying to sleep, involving some of the motel guests which led the argument back to the motel. This situation is not the motel’s fault. The Manager lives on site but I didn’t think to call as it was late. It was just unfortunate timing and being next to a pub is something to consider. We probably wouldn’t stay here again just because of the pub being next door and my children and husband and I got a fright from this incident. Meeniyan though is a MUST visit and stay.

This property is a 3 star. Inside the rooms are tired. The beds are horribly hard and I had a dripping shower the whole time. The front door wouldn’t lock from inside. There are windows that have no curtains. The linen on the beds is just old & tired.

Quiet place to stay for a night

Condition of the camp kitchen is out of expectancy, lots of stuff in that area, do not want to use it at all.

Staff are friendly and helpful, introducing restaurants and places to visit. Room is generally clean, only the hangers are covered with spider webs.

Rooms have been freshly painted with nice photos of WIlson's Promitory on the walls and new towels & linen. However the standard rooms are very small and cramped.
The main problem is the reception and external areas of the motel. which give a very poor first impression. The reception area has a large wire cat cage in front of it and when you enter the reception it is very cluttered with lots of "knick knacks" on every surface which gives the impression of being dusty and untidy. The central "garden" area outside is full of small concrete statues and figurines in various stages of disrepair. The concrete patio area to each room is covered in a green matting upon which green moss abounds and could be dangerous in wet weather.

Very ordinary budget motel. Room was overpriced for what it was. Reception area not inviting. Our window was open and a cat had been in our room. Fridge was not turned on. Nowhere open to eat on a Wed night in Meeniyan except very pricey hotel next door. We drove 15 mins to Leongatha for pizza. Suggest keep driving to Leongatha or Foster instead of stopping here.

At the price point , it was an okay place to stay for a night or two. Room was dated and there was some strong smell of some chemical or solution used to clean the room.

The room was having some cob webs under the table and the cutlery provided was also not very clean.

If given a chance , I would prefer to find a different accommodation.

Oknkr the price, needs some small tweaks to be bet

Check in was easy and very clear instructions left to get keys ourselves. Room was ok, standard country motel. Room has microwave and toaster but no crockery or cutlery (besides mugs and glasses), same for the outdoor kitchen/bbq.
Shower head kept flopping down and temperature was hard to regulate but suited our purposes and Meeniyan itself was a very pleasant surprise with great cafes and the deli does delicious takeaway ready meals.

For such a pretty little town with some boutique shopping the motel was a let down. The room had an odour that no amount of spray or perfume could hide. The room was outdated & sad. The tv was so high that you could barely see it from the beds. Fridge wasn’t on. Lamps didn’t work. Just 2 star if that.

We chose a family room to give us a bit more space. The beds weren't comfortable and the room was looking a little tired. Otherwise it was an enjoyable stay. It's nearby to Saturday morning Koonwarra's Parkrun. Trulli Pizza is walking distance from the motel - just down the road which was great.

The Good: Beds were comfortable, best towels of the trip, cute town, good bathroom.

The Bad: Ants all over the wall and my bed. No one at the service desk to address the issue. Keys were left in a bowl outside as check-in. Two cats were in a cage all day outside in the burning heat.

In need of a good clean

The stay didn't start well. The reception area stank of smoke and I was given the room right next to the owners residence. Once inside my room two lights didn't work, the toilet seat wasn't clean and there was blood on a pillow. The TV was smaller then my work computer screen. The area was nice and quiet, great location to the pub and amazing bakery.
