This place was amazing, particularly with two children under 12. The water slides were a MASSIVE hit. They had never been on a water slide before and went down them about 50 times!! The pools are fantastic, a really nice selection of different sizes, depths and activities. The breakfast each morning was phenomenal! Staff were so friendly, always helpful. Rooms were not huge, but definitely satisfactory and clean. One issue we did have was the incredibly limited ability to hang up wet items, like towels and bathers, to dry. They either need a lot more hooks in the bathroom, a pull out line from the wall in the bathroom, or a portable line you can sit out on the balcony. Nearby burger joint was great for lunches, dinner, or great coffee and cold drinks. Oh, and one thing that truly shocked us (being Aussies) but was really amazing, is the social time down in the lobby from 3-6pm then 9-11pm. Basically an open bar, help yourself, spirits, beer, soft drinks, and little bar snacks of lollies, crackers, nuts and chocolate. Kids and adults alike. Definitely a place we would be happy to come back to again. Just one caution, get the shuttle bus or airport limoscene bus, if coming from Naha. Don’t get a taxi. Ask me how I know!

We booked in to the Grande Mercure for 3 nights during our 14 day trip for a bit of a relax with the kids (ages- 9, 10, 11 & 12). This totally hit the spot! We chose the executive level so we'd have access to the breakfast, snacks and drinks throughout the day and it was the best decision we made. It is a huge lounge with tons of space for families. We had great breakfast options and the coffee and drinks throughout the day were exceptional. We did not eat at the main restaurant but enjoyed lunches and one dinner at the Pizza/Waterside restaurant.
It was nice to have the executive lounge space to get together with our friends, the kids could play games/cards and the adults were able to snack, read and drink when we weren't at the pool.
The rooms were very well appointed and the waterslides, pools, lazy river and beach are all well maintained and easy to access. Of note, kids under 13, must be accompanied by an adult on the big tube waterslide AND in the water. That was a disappointment for us as our kids are all athletic swimmers but needed supervision IN the water at all times. We wished there was a swim test so the lifeguards could identify kids who are capable in the water. This was a very minor thing but did affect how we spent our time. Also of note, if its too windy (which we encountered during our time), there is no ability to open the umbrellas meaning there is next to no shade available at the pool. We had an exceptional meal @ Maruki Pizza a short Uber ride away.

Staff were great, clean but lots of ants everywhere. The executive lounge is a perk but after the first day, it’s the same items. There also isn’t enough elevators for the amount of rooms. No vending machines on site.

The phones have no directory so if you need help and need to call the front desk, you can’t. Horrible.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Grand Mercure , the facilities was excellent and the restaurant for breakfast was excellent with great choices for buffet breakfast. The laundry facilities was a bonus as traveling it was easy access .the pool and outside entertainment areas were great . Thank you we will recommend you to others wishing to go to Okinawa.

This very large hotel complex had everything one might need for a terrific family holiday.
Room was large with a balcony that overlooked part of the beach and all of the pools.
There were water slides, a lazy river, adult only warm pool, and a family cold pool. The beach was wide with access to one lounge chair and umbrella. The beach is crushed coral with larger, rough pieces in the water. A Japanese bath is available.
The restaurant had a huge assortment of local foods with a small assortment of American foods. They cater to families so provide child size plates, cutlery, bibs, baby food (on request), and high chairs.
Local entertainment was available on the weekend.
Resort was clean, staff was friendly, beds were comfortable, rooms were pretty quiet.

The food is good if you like eating the same food every day :)

Cons :elevators take forever! The reviews about this are true.
They only have 1 breakfast restaurant and 1 dinner restaurant.
Breakfast is 3,000 per person in yen
Dinner is 8,000 yen each.
The staff did minimal effort to help us, even when we did use Google Translate they still didn’t understand ?
There’s no ATM to withdraw money for the laundry service which is 500 yen per load.
The beach charges you for an extra chair to sit on instead of it being for free on a 4 star resort like everywhere else around the world
They only have pizza for lunch every day ! We grew tired of that
You are allowed 1 towel each at the pool, you aren’t allowed more
This hotel is not accessible to other hot spots without a personal vehicle unless you’re planning on spending 100 dollars each trip you take into town.
Our balcony had bird excrement all over
The ceiling near the vents has black mold everywhere I looked and I was curious to know if maybe all that mold went into our rooms ….
I was looking forward for this trip for so long and ended up disappointed.

The hotel is beautiful! There is an airport shuttle to and from the hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the hotel provides many amenities such as a heated pool, water slide, daily socials twice a day, ping pong, public bath. The rooms were spacious, clean and the view from our balcony was beautiful. We will make sure to stay at this hotel every time we are in Okinawa.

The hotel has positives and negatives, let's get the latter out the way first.

Negatives
- No seats on room balcony
- Hotel has 189 rooms and approx. 120 loungers around the pool. The number of rooms vs loungers just doesn't work.
- Beach toilets disgusting. I don't expect luxury on a beach but I'd expect soap and hand towels.
- Hotel and rooms could do with a coat of paint.
- On the beach you get one lounger and umbrella per hotel toom, with 4 in a room what use is that? There was no option to pay for additional loungers.
- Despite signs saying you can't reserve pool loungers most days all were reserved by 8.30am with staff doing nothing about it.

The Positives
- Good facilities in general
- Pool area was lovely, especially the waterslides
- Breakfast buffet was good
- Car Park was more than adequate
- Free bar from 3pm-6pm and 9pm-11pm
- Room size was good
- Cold soft drinks available (free) all day from Poolside bar
- Inflatable water park at beach was great fun, also free
- Dinner buffet included free bar
- Good range of shops

We had a great week but the criticism is somethings the hotel does very well and others not so much. My criticism comes from the hotel cost, our trip wasn't cheap so I'd expect certain levels of features and facilities.

The positives outweigh the negatives, we'd probably stay there again.

Throughout the day you'll get unlimited soda and water and coffee or tea would definitely get the breakfast buffet for the morning you get a very big variety of food it is the same food everyday they don't change it. maybe change it up every 3-day rotation would be nice The dinner buffets a little smaller you do get sushi and you get alcohol variety of beers wines and I believe there is liquor even there. But that's why it's $50 for the day in US dollar. It's better just to book it when you book the hotel room because then you book it for the whole thing and you'll save money if you're going to do it everyday .there is a restaurant you can walk to at the entrance of the complex there's a little shopping plaza there with a restaurant you can get ice cream there and snacks and souvenirs. also you can walk to the lighthouse it's not that far and there's another place where you can get food and souvenirs and camping equipment over there and then you also get the beach across the street with your hotel stay you'll get one lounge chair per day per room bring your own towels and you'll get to use the jungle gym that's in the ocean for 50 min, you get a discount on the Motorsports, you get paddle boarding with the room as well. The lighthouse is not that far away it is a nice walk there they also have a playground a basketball court at

Pros:
Large rooms, nice bidet toilets with separated bath/shower room. Friendly staff. Slides and lazy river great for families. Huge parking lot. Able to eat off site purchased food in lobby with tables. Free drink bars at certain times with delicious drinks.

Cons:
Pool closes quite early. Hotel shops very overpriced for basic things like sandals. Need a car to get around to food and convenience stores.

They have a great water park for kids and adults. There are 3 slides (one with a 2-person tube and 2 for single riders), a lazy river, and 2 nice pools at the resort. There is also a beach area where they have an inflatable water obstacle course plus beach stuff to rent. The buffet breakfast was great. I highly recommend this place for any travelers or locals looking for a stay-cation.

Me and my family loved it here. The view from our room es exceptional it has a view of the ocean and the pool. i like that they have a free snack bar for the guest. The Hotel staff are very nice too.Our favorite is the pool slide. we had so much fun.Zanpa beach is just walking distance from the hotel which is very convenient they also offer more acitvities there like jet ski, dragon boat and much more. I wish we can stay more days but we will definitely coming back here.

Don’t recommend you staying at this hotel if you can’t stand the heat as they have a poor HVAC system and high room temperature. I’ve requested to change the room but still no any luck - the second room that they have arranged for us was even worse. I could not sleep peacefully during the entire stay.

The water slides and water activities on the beach were amazing. You ABSOLUTELY need water shoes for the beach. It's much too rocky and painful without them.

The staff are soooo friendly and kind. Everyone was smiling and helpful, which we really appreciated. Especially everyone helping with the water slids, which made the experience more enjoyable!

The one thing we were disappointed with was the outdoor BBQ option. For the price ($100 per person roughly) they should have provided a water jug or some extra side dishes like fries or mashed potatoes, salad, etc. The drinks at the BBQ were extra ($10 per cocktail), which kind of took the wind out of our sails, especially when they came in really cheap looking plastic cups. This especially sucks when the buffet has free drinks and cocktails. There is no lunch option at this resort, so really recommend this BBQ thing during the day and not at dinner time (our mistake!)

The area was very safe and quiet. An excellent place to get away from the hustle of a city. Transport to the city is not ideal if you don’t have a car, so keep that in mind if you’d like to tour the area. There is not much near by. The food was excellent but lacked diversity as the menu did not change over the days we were there.

This is a very nice property. It’s a tad dated but very nice and clean. Everyone was very professional and friendly. The public beach is a short walk and very nice. The view from the deluxe corner room was panoramic and beautiful. It is in an isolated spot so that is nice except while we were there the bar and some restaurants were not open so there was only one choices for dinner only and it was approximately $50 per person and a buffet-but a very good Japanese buffet. I recommend the breakfast package and a car. There were a couple of nice restaurants near by but it is not walkable-no sidewalks and would be too dark at night. They do have a store with drinks and alcohol and some snacks- nothing fancy. The Expedia website showed the bar and restaurants open and we were very disappointed to find out they were closed. On their Japanese website it did say they were closed for renovations (we met Japanese speakers who checked), but only on the website in Japanese not on the hotel’s English translation website. We would not have booked it if we had known.

Our family enjoyed the weekend staying at the hotel, enjoying the beach and the myriad of activities that they had prepared for the summer. There are lots of marine activities at the beach, and at the hotel, there is no shortage of things to do as well. Especially for the kids who enjoyed the mini-activity/festival booths the hotel has prepared with traditional Japanese carnival games. It was a blast! Stay here especially during Summer.

Only bad thing was the bad smell in the hallway and room. I believe it was mold! We used room deodorizer which helped a little.

Great family experience. It's not a fancy new resort, but our room with a view is clean, spacious, and well-equipped. Service is outstanding. Buffet breakfast is delicious. Pool, sauna, and beach access available. The hotel features a little traditional performance at the lobby every night at 9 pm. Be careful visiting during peak season. There's often a long wait for elevators and buffet breakfast even during a May stay.

We enjoyed our stay in the Royal Hotel OKINWA ZANPAMISAKI. It is located quiet remotely so if you don't have a car like we didn't it's easier to stay for dinner in the hotel or to pop in the restaurant opposite the hotel. The hotel has is close to the beach with its own public bath, lovely garden and a swimming pool. I would recommend this hotel if you want everything in one location and you have kids it's perfect location.

Huge restaurant area for breakfast but very poor variety of meal, tasteless food, plastic plates and folks. Honestly nothing delicious, even pineapple was not fresh, went hungry after this pathetic breakfast looking forward for lunch.
Menu for dinner is unreasonable expensive, small portions and not delicious. For example, Okinawa local vegetables rakyo was served at tiny amount for over 600 yen. All food is overpriced. So, we gave up to have any decent food at the hotel and visited outside restaurant Kujira, which has excellent food, friendly service and honest reasonable prices.
Another drawback at this hotel was a room charge. Reception could not explain why I was charged for the room as 2 persons even though on my 2 and 3 nights I stayed alone.
public bath area was not clean, a lot of hair was everywhere in the dressing room.
My room was last at the corridor and far from an elevator, I was charged for “ocean view”, it was only partially ocean, mostly hotels facilities buildings and jungles.
Beach doesn’t belong to hotel is across the road and takes time to walk there. Very poorly equipped with artificial entertainments and boring views.
Relaxation salon’s sign is switched on, even though the salon was closed years ago.
Feel deceived and disappointed.
Public bath area was not cleaned, a lot of hair spread.
A massage after the bath and is another disappointment, the lady had long nails.
Welcome to my black list, never ever stay in this terrible place.

クラブフロア2泊しました。エグゼクティブラウンジを楽しみに行きましたが、２日目は全ての時間帯で前日と同じ食事内容でした。他の沖縄のホテルではそんな事なかったので正直ガッカリです。個人的にスイーツの質は残念でした。夜のカクテルタイムは本当にちょっとしたもので物足りないです。ですので、レストランを利用したいなと思ったら食べ放題のお店しかなく、お腹の具合で微妙だったので利用しませんでした。エグゼクティブラウンジのスタッフさん達の仕事ぶりとソファーの質、景色は完璧でした。お部屋も綺麗でホテル自体は気に入りましたが、そこだけが残念です。

エレベーターの行列待ちがつらい。収容人数に見合っていない。
朝食ビュッフェはそれなりに美味しいが、価格相応かと言われるとあと一歩。沖縄らしいメニューや南国フルーツが増えると良い。（フルーツはオレンジ、グレープフルーツ、バナナ、パインくらいしかなかった）
プールは綺麗でスライダーの種類もあり楽しい。

素晴らしい環境です。
困ることもなかったです。

あえて伝えるなら、オールインクルーシブと書いてありますが、
食事の時間とハッピーアワーの様な2時間のみ(15〜17時)はお酒が飲み放題ですが、
夕食後の時間はお酒やおつまみが飲み食べ放題ではないです。
ここが唯一の残念なポイントでした。
晩酌を考えている方はホテルか、外で買って楽しんでください。の方式でした。

日中はソフトドリンクがプール側のレストランの中で飲むことができます。

他の設備や食事、サービスなど写真の通りで素晴らしいです。

リピートをしたいと思います。
