The staff are absolutely lovely and very helpful.

Unfortunately room was a little dirty, hair and dirt on the floor and old wine spot stains not cleaned properly.

We had a double bed and open sofa bed, but this blocked the entrance to the bathroom and we had to squeeze through the gap which was a nuisance.

Decent array of breakfast but the hard boiled egg machine did not have enough water so eggs were not cooked.

Dining room looks lovely but doors inside are broken and falling apart.

Pool/ Jacuzzi area is nice but in need of some repairs but unfortunately due to close from late August.

My family and I were on our way to Luxembourg and needed a pit stop hotel. The spa was incredible - pool, cold pool, sauna, massage are what we checked out. We booked a junior suite - the room is spacious, the grounds are well kept and quiet, but with signs of life and family friendly. The views are incredible too. I would highly recommend it. Its not far from town so you can easily dine out. My only fuss was about the 16 Euro breakfast for nothing fancy - we didn't choose the option so we went into town. None the less, 5/5

Pretty place but watch out inside.

The hotel is impressive from the outside and the inside colors are very nice. However, in our room we were missing a bath towel, tissues and the cups in the bathroom had liquid in them which was not water. We asked for a bath towel and I saw the clerk get one from a laundry basket. When he gave it to us it was damp and appeared dirty. We then asked for a box of tissue and after looking for one the clerk advised us that there were none in the hotel. The holder for the bathroom glasses was also corroded. On the outside the hotel appears clean but on the inside it was very questionable.

Avoid staying here but restaurant is amazing!

Struggled upon arriving sorting out twin beds, which is what I payed and booked for. Spa rules are ridiculous! Have to wear swimming hat and budgie smugglers to be allowed in, and once your in your be let down with the pool condition, nothing like the photos!!

Mould in bedroom, wallpaper peeling of and dust/cobwebs in corner

This hotel is pretty poor it is nothing like the photos it is pretty run down.
The pool area is terrible and my kids refused to use it. The food in the restraint was ok but not cheap
Over all a big disappointment and would not stay there again

Pros : Lovely hotel, food really lovely, especially breakfast.lovely room with balcony overlooking the front ( initially put in a room right at the top of the building with a small velux window which was awful. The receptionist was really nice and changed our room without any problem)
Bedding was crisp and clean, bed really comfy.
Swimming pool was a real godsend (as we were staying during a heatwave) although a little dated

Cons : NO AIR CONDITIONING IN ROOMS and yet it’s air conditioned in all public rooms
Had to pay for dinner at table, not able to put it on room bill

The breakfast in the morning had a really good fruit salad. It was my favorite of the 3 hotels we stayed at so far this trip in France. It was close to Belleau Wood. The bed was a bit too firm for my liking though so it was hard for me to get a good night's sleep. Everything else was great.

We arrived later in the evening and were told to either walk to the hotel or spend the night in the train station. No taxis available after 10:00pm. We walked 3 miles to the hotel in the dark as we were left stranded with no offer of assistance. The Hotel is listed as English speaking, but is not. Do not be fooled by the Best Western Brand. Stay somewhere else.

Perfect location, wonderful staff,food and drink

The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The hotel was so quaint, comfortable, and perfect location for history, champagne, etc. We loved the view from the outdoor balcony, the outdoor tables, the meals in the restaurant at the hotel were wonderful. Only wish their had been air conditioning but it was very comfortable even on the hot nights.

It's not worth your money at all

Non of the receptionists speaks English. Very tiny rooms and outdated. Bad smell as soon as you walk in. Broken plumbing system. Dust all over the walls, disgusting towels. No way this hotel is a 3 star hotel.

We didn't realise that we had to book a meal at the time we booked our room so when we arrived we were told the restaurant was full. We were upset by this but the receptionist was an absolute gem (Paravina?). She quickly organised a table for us in a separate area of the hotel; it meant that we were the only couple in there but that was not a problem for us. Her service, personality and efficiency were second to none. It was a pleasure to meet her. Thank you!

Reasonable for a quick stay.

A comfortable overnight stay. The hotel restaurant was pretty good for dinner, but I would skip the breakfast at 13 euros.

The room seemed old but well maintained. Bedding was decent quality. The online booking said there was balcony but my room didn't have one. When I asked about that I got the usual gallic shrug.

Very comfortable hotel in rural France, but...

We arrived at 7pm, having missed our war memorial owing to a suicide on the train track, so a fairly trying day, to be told categorically that we could not eat, except right now. The pool was closed so we could not relax there. I felt we were doing the hotel a favour, rather than paying them for a service. They could drop the sangfroid and offer some hospitality.

Hotel is not where the GPS says it should be

Looked around for quite awhile for this hotel as the GPS thought it was approximately 1km closer to the city than it actually was. The GPS when used in either mode (address mode aswell as locate hotels nearby mode) kept telling us it was within city limits. It is approximately 1Km further outside of the city up the highway. This was with a brand new TOMTOM.

The hotel otherwise was quite decent, the only comment is that unless you like the really French food (Frog Legs etc.) you'd better plan on eating in town as no North American or British food is available at this restaurant. It was also extremely expensive.

L'hôtel est assez éloigné du centre ville de Château-Thierry. Ne comptez pas aller manger au restaurant à pied depuis l'hôtel c'est impossible, il faut obligatoirement prendre la voiture. Sinon l'hôtel est propre et calme, la chambre était impeccable, la literie confortable.
Le petit déjeuner est bon mais le choix est assez limité.

I restauranten fik vi en kylling, der var så tørstegt, at den nærmest var uspiselig.

L’hôtel en globale est pas mal, malheureusement plusieurs détails nous ont déplus avec mon compagnon notamment le faite de devoir emprunter une passerelle à l’extérieur pour accéder au spa (au mois de février en peignoir c’est moyen😐), les jacuzzi qui ne sont pas assez chauffé, on entendait les bruits des chambres au alentour de la notre, et cerise sur le gâteau, en rentrant le soir à l’hôtel coupure d’électricité dans tout l’hôtel (pas de chauffage, pas de lumière, pas d’eau chaude) jusqu’a qu’on parte le lendemain à 11h.

We greatly enjoyed staying in this beautiful hotel - perfect on our way to Britanny. 1 adult and three kids plus dog - we were all welcome and found a clean and spacious suite that fit us all. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast, and some exercise in the pool. There were places nearby to walk the dog. Service was welcoming and friendly

Hôtel dans un bâtiment ancien, difficile de rendre les chambres insonorisées donc beaucoup de bruits d'autres résidents.
Idem pour l'isolation thermique, l'eau coule des fenêtres, dans les chambres.
Dernier point : la possibilité d'aller au spa est très agréable.
Par contre pour y aller il faut passer par une passerelle en plein vent et au froid. Le spa est très bien.
Bilan: j'y retournerai quand même.

Wonderfully hospitable hotel and comfortable rooms - perfect for a stay with kids and dog. Spacious room with a super comfortable bed and sofa bed, and lots of room for our luggage and the dog bed. Très bon séjour, nous y retournerons. Accueil au top (surtout la dame blonde avec les cheveux au carré et le jeune homme qui servait au restaurant) spa au top (piscine un peu froide quand même) lit et oreillers confortables. Le restau de l’hôtel est super bon et le petit déjeuner est restreint mais avec des produits de qualité (pains et viennoiseries de la boulangerie) rien à dire.

Hôtel bien situé, chambre supérieure très petite , rideau déchiré,des insectes écrasés au plafond ,des cheveux au sol, le coffre fort hors service,les toilettes séparé de le salle d'eau très petit et pour finir des problèmes de ventilation car au réveille les vitres intérieures étaient trempées. Le dîner au restaurant était très bon mais le service pas à la hauteur.

Probablement le meilleur hôtel sur Château-Thierry, avec un restaurant qui propose un menu très large, et à des prix plutôt raisonnable.
La chambre normale est relativement exiguë, mais propre.
Un petit détail, mais la lumière est très froide dans la chambre, ce qui est par définition pas très chaleureux.

À noter, l’hôtel n’est pas du tout en ville, et il est quasi impossible d’y aller à pied.
