I would not consider this hotel to truly offer free breakfast. During most of the time I was there, the breakfast area was empty, including the juice machine. One staff member was trying to manage the breakfast area alone while three others sat at the front desk and did not offer any assistance. Staff rushed through their duties and did not seem concerned that items were not restocked during opening hours. It gave the impression that guest experience was not a priority.
The only standout positive was the cleanliness. The hallways were clean, although they had an odd smell. The rooms were small and fairly basic.

The hotel itself was fine. However - there needs to be something on the website that indicates when a hotel does not have an elevator. I booked there cause I’ve stayed at other comfort inns, and it was conveniently located and inexpensive. I booked a room that was described as being on the top floor - that was fine, but there was nothing to say there was no elevator. My 76 year old mother (who has had 5 joint replacements) travelled with us, and had a very difficult time navigating this. The hotel was sold out so we could not change to somewhere on the bottom floor.

Our room smelled like cigarette smoke. Cleaning staff told us it was chemicals from the maintenance crew. They did not offer to switch us to a different room. The Breakfast was horrible. Food was cold and there was no meat, and no butter for toast. Apparently they had the same issue the day before as well. Their explanation was that they were waiting for their food order. That shouldn't matter. We paid for a room that included a full breakfast. There's a grocery store up the street where they can buy supplies. I would never stay here again.

That defeated the whole purpose of late checkout and even if we were checking out at the regular time, 8:30 is too early to be disturbing people. There needs to be better communication with who has checked out and who is sleeping/has late check out.

Overall, more effort needs to be put into communication between staff and just caring about your clients and the job itself.
