Motel style but VERY small rooms, wifi only worked after assistance from concierge. Breakfast and parking excellent and nice grounds. Avoid upstairs rooms with only one small Velux window. Main problem was distance from centre of Compiegne.

Great location adjacent to the forest and a nice park. Quiet rooms and walkable to transit. Solid reception area and the exterior of the property and grounds were well maintained. The rooms could use some attention and are nearing the need for remodel. My room had a very strong odor from someone previously smoking. My deadbolt lock would also not latch, but the area was quite safe.

Disappointing

Chose Campanile for a one night stay after having positive experiences with the same hotel in the different city previously. Was very disappointed with Campanille Compiegne. The place is old and the rooms very basic and run down.
On the positive side, the service was good and the rooms facing the park are quiet.

Reasonable for a stopover

Having stayed in quite a few Campaniles, both in the UK and France, I had some idea what I was booking. The motel style accommodation was ideal for a solo traveller's one-night stopover, but probably little more. That said, it's in a quiet edge-of-town location and the on-site restaurant is ok too.
Downsides: there was a drip of blood on the wall in the bathroom, which made me curious as to the overall cleanliness and hygiene. The sink and bath/shower were both severely blocked, such that they took several minutes to drain.
The bed was comfortable though and there were ample sockets for chargers and suchlike.
Would I stay again? Possibly. But I've stayed in better for the price.

Very disappointed. When we entered the 'office' to check in, the entire staff was standing there dripping sweat. I realize it was hot and there was no air condition listed. Would like to have tried their dinner but not willing to do so under those conditions. Trash around the property wasn't picked up. Beer bottles and more left in the cans. There was a signpost that had been cut off barely 2 inches from the ground and it was sticking up exposed.

Useful stop only two hours from the coast

Very handy stop just past Paris on the way north to Calais. Meal was v.good and service excellent. Helpful and knowledgeable staff, pity that there was no bar or restaurant close by.

Overnight stop en route to Belgium

This was our second stay here, 6 years apart, and we were equally happy this time. We were travelling as a group of 4 adults and 5 children and had 3 triple rooms between us. The rooms were great, beds were comfy and the tea and coffee was very welcome.

May find a better deal elsewhere!!

Difficult to find, and away from the city, so transport needed.
Pet friendly, with a park for dogs and children just behind the hotel.
Breakfast was not as good as when we stayed at the Campanile in Senlis, and we were charged extra, whereas at Senlis it was breakfast was included in the price. Less coffee and no tea bags in the room, compared with Senlis.

Relaxing night at the Campanile

We had one of the newly refurbished rooms and it was excellent. Decor is in relaxing colours of muted tones. One thing we did not like is the tiny table top between the twin bed as it is so low down that you can so easily knock things off whilst sleeping.

Room was old and rundown, in bad need of refurbishment. The toilet flush did not function properly,but, bed was fine and it was quiet. Both 'plat de jour' in the evening were inedible, quite the worst food I have ever been served up in a French food establishment.

A good stopover on your journey

Once we had found it, the Campanile was fine for what we wanted - a clean, comfortable stopover on our way to the Auvergne. The room was small but adequate, the bedding and bathroom clean, and we could park the car directly outside our room. We had a good meal in the restaurant and a decent night's sleep since the hotel is in a quiet suburb. A bonus was the quite extensive grounds which were ideal for walking the dogs.

We have stayed at this hotel several times. Unfortunately this year in our room there was a leak in the bath tub causing Water to food out under the wall and into the entrance and the room. When we wanted to clean up the Water, we noticed that the walls and the foodpanel beind the closet were Black and with funguses... not very higienic at all!

Although we thought we knew Compiegne it was difficultto find the hotel (no sat nav), which is hidden away in a residential neighborhood, and the signposting from the center of town was completely inadequate late on a rainy evening when there was no one on the street to ask. If you want to visit the wonderful palace and enjoy the town, we'd recommend a hotel in the center of town, but for an overnight stop with a good child-friendly restaurant open late, this Campanile was excellent.

Relatively convenient location north of Paris on way to Ports/Tunnel. Hotel in Quiet Residential (not Industrial) location.
Very convenient parking right outside your room,
Pleasant staff who spoke good English if you needed it,
Room OK although starting to show wear especially in bathroom. Heating made a noise during night and had to turn it off

Very 'shabby'

Very 'shabby'. It was like going back 40 years to poor quality hotels of the 1970s. We have stayed at other Campanile Hotels several times usually finding them clean, modern, and perfectly satisfactory for a night or even two whilst travelling. Because of previous experience with Campaniles we booked this one as an overnight stop en-route for Christmas and we were very disappointed. The main reception and restaurant looks very promising, modern, clean, etc. but the hotel rooms are like holiday chalets from some bygone age and simply not up to modern standards. The decoration was poor, the furniture was poor, and the walls are ultra-thin. Only really one good thing - we like strong showers and the power of the shower was good.

It's a convenient hotel if travelling up the A1 and you want to stay close - but not too close!. The parking immediately outside your room is great especially when it's pouring with rain. The hotel is a bit remote from restaurants/shops etc compared with some of the other chains in this town.

Perfect overnight stop-off

This hotel was great for our overnight stay. The rooms were bright, clean and spacious. It was great to have 4 beds as so many other places have a maximum of 3. The tea and coffee making service was very welcome after our journey and the kids lived the playground immediately behind the hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly too.

English persepective of this hotel

A small friendly hotel offering comfortable clean rooms, Bathroom supplies hairdryer, soap shampoo and heater, Bed comfortable and far better than the UK premier inn we stayed in the previous night. Breakfast extra at 20 euros for two was adequate and very convinient. Reception area is in the restaurant which has a bar we found slightly expensive a wine and a pint of beer approximatly 12 euros. very convinient loaction we used the free local bus service with stop 2 mins walk from hotel to go into town, Ideal for visiting Parc Asterix or Armistice sight / war memorials all reasonably close.

We stayed at the Campanile in Compiegne as an overnight stop on the way south and it was ideal for this. The room was clean and comfortable though rather snug for a family of four.
The restaurant was really quite nice with a substantially more up-market feel than the rooms. Dinner wasn't particularly cheap but it was surprisingly good and meant that, having spent 12 hours in the car, we didn't have to trawl around the town for somewhere else to eat.
As an overnight stop just off the Autoroute I'd certainly recommend it.

Good but could be better.

The first thing that you see is hotel staff smoking outside which is not a very good impression. However, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the ensuite facilities were good. The staff in the restaurant were very good, the service impressive and the food was excellent. But it rained heavily during our one night stay and the gutters outside our room (15) were obviously blocked which meant that water poured down outside our room, the noise making it dificult to sleep. Surely this should have been easy to fix. In spite of this, I would recommend this hotel for a short stay because the food and service was so good.

Campanile Compiegne

Campanile is a mile or so outside the centre. Perfectly OK for an overnight stay and absolutely nothing wrong. Room is a little overpriced for what it is and where it is, but it's reliable and well run. Compiegne has a terrific history and is worth seeing.

Hotel was excellent and very friendly; we arrived late and were offerred food and bar service; the local Indian restuarant owner even left her bar and guided us to the hotel; everyone we met was friendly, and in the morning Compiegne showed us why; we will return for a longer stay

More of a Motel

This hotel is a reasonably comfortable motel on the edges of town. The location is quiet and the room was reasonably spacious and comfortable. The hotel restaurant was fairly good. They had free wifi connectivity. If trying to visit Compiegne by train only this hotel is not avisable as it really requires a rental car to get to unless you really like to walk. The staff were nice but very limited in English.

Juste pour 1 nuit, le prix reste élevé pour la qualité du lieu. Les chambres sont vétustes, la propreté légère (toiles d'araignées en entrant, on ne voit que ça...moisie dans la baignoire).
Le petit déjeuner est industriel, il ne fait pas très envie.
