This is a wonderful hotel. The staff there are very welcoming and super attentive to anything you might need. The rooms are clean, well appointed and nicely decorated.

The location is great for exploring Turnhout and the area nearby. The buses all come and go from the train station which is next door. It is an easy walk to the Grote Market and all the attractions.

The hotel is in the old train depot. It is a great conversion. The breakfast buffet was super. We were there for two days and they changed it up a bit each day.

This is a very nice hotel. You will enjoy your stay!

Hotel is generally nice, a little loud with the trains passing behind but not too bad. There are complimentary bottles of water and beer in your room which is a nice surprise! I was on the ground floor and heard some room door slamming but this couldn't be helped as its the only way to close the door behind you. Parking is limited about 15 spots and is public so is free from 6pm until 9am but you have to be quick. Otherwise there a paid car park about 2 or 3 minute walk further down the road.

The best Best Western.

I have stayed all over the world in Best Western Hotels and this has to be the best! Not for the location or the size and plushness of the room, but for the service and friendliness of the staff. There was nothing they would not do to make our stay as pleasant as possible despite these COVID times. Room was comfortable, very clean and had everything we needed. Would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in the area.

Only got to stay one night to see a concert by The Gathering in the next town over, Vosselaar. Would have been nice to have spent more time in Turnhout and the Best Western would be the ideal base from which to explore the area. located right beside the train station and bus access in the centre of town. The hotel looks like it was once an industrial building related to the railway. one side is up against the tracks and the other an attractive street view. ground floor on the street side gets full windows and a walkout. second floor windows are the rounded top half you see in the pictures so are from your knees to the floor. I did not find the track side second floor noisy. due to construction on the bus area, there are more buses temporarily stopping in front of the hotel than is probably usual. I arrived early but was able to check in. reception was helpful to give local and bus info. Wifi very good, room and bathroom clean and very acceptable. room was stocked with free beverages including medium sized wine bottles.

The choice of breakfast things is good, the location next to the station does mean there is noise in the rooms facing the railway. However it is the noise of the buses which is the issue in the early morning and not the trains.

My room downstairs had window that opens to the train platform and was 20 ft from the train track. No air conditioning. Only upstairs room have A/C. Carpet was dirty. Very basic amenities. Great if you want to be 5 minute from train but noisy and not private at all otherwise. Lack of A/C was very uncomfortable in late August during heat wave. Will avoid this location in the future.

Having said that, it was spotlessly clean, had a wonderfully comfortable bed and staff were friendly and helpful. It's a few minutes walk to the main market square with restaurants and bars. ( Also a great Saturday market).

Not what you usually expect from a Best Western

I stayed here for a business trip. Check-in was smooth & there were complimentary chocolates and a small bottle of red wine in the room. I was meant to have a private balcony but there wasn’t any. An iron was brought to my room when I asked for it. Unfortunately the toilet was not clean and the shower was clogged so I had to stop running the water while showering otherwise it would overflow. The room is a bit claustrophobic as you can’t open any windows or reach the skylight and there should have been a ceiling fan but at least there is air conditioning. I was meant to have a queen bed but had 2 single covers... In the morning the room was lit up as if every light was switched on but this was actually because the daylight was coming through the skylight... Breakfast was a very nice spread and the hotel organised me a taxi as Uber isn’t available in the area. This hotel is probably the best you can find in the area but it could be vastly improved.

Great location and we really liked the unique layout and look of the building. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Room was on the small side but very well thought out with all necessary amenities. The complimentary drinks were a nice touch and breakfast not overpriced and great value.

Perfect with lots of little extras

Excellent location for a gig in the town. Lots of little freebies in the room - chocolates, biscuits, tea, coffee, bottled water, toiletries ..and wine!! Lovely buffet breakfast and free coffee in the lobby. Highly recommended.

Excellent value for money. Clean rooms, nice touch with the offered wine & chocolate. Very stylish breakfast room with plenty of choice. Very helpful staff. Only a 10 minute walk from the main square.
Only very minor downside is the public parking outside could be a little limited, and you have to pay after 09h00 (if the machine works)

Fine hotel - will stay again

I stayed here on business during the middle of July. I used to say that the two most important thing for any hotel was friendly staff and a comfortable bed and this hotel had both of them. When I am travelling again in high summer I might add to that list airconditioning. The hotel had it in some rooms but not mine. I did have a door to an outside patio area and was nice. The location is right beside the railway station and about 600 metres easy walk to the city centre. The staff were always very friendly and helpful and the breakfast probably had the most options I have ever seen and I have stayed in far too many hotels. Even though it is sandwitched between the railway and the busy enough road, honestly noise was not a problem. One note the railway is a deadend so it is not as if you have training passing through all night. All in all I will stay here again when in Turnhout

I stayed for a couple of nights and was satisfied with the hotel and service I received. The complimentary water, wine and chocolate were very welcome. My room was clean and comfortable. The internet connection was good although the WIFI signal not great. There was a gym that looked ok but I didn't use it, so can't comment on the quality of the equipment available. Would stay again!

Kind of an odd place - a little less than expected based on the description. \"Room service\" meant ordering from a nearby resturant for delivery to the room. Furnishings were odd - the desk chair was narrow and uncomfortable. Very helpful staff, and still worth it for the location and overall value. I would stay away from the first floor - you are right on the street.

Hôtel confortable mais déception sur certains point, les réceptionniste ne parlent pas français alors que c’était noté sur la fiche et le site de l’établissement, pas de frigo dans la chambre pour ma part la N5 alors que c’était mentionné qu’il y en avait. Et cerise sur le gâteau, j’ai payé 15e pour la présence de mon chien alors que j’avais choisit cet hôtel pour l’acceptation de celui ci, mais aucune info de prix ni sur le site ni sur hôtel.com, je trouve ce prix très exagéré. De plus l’hôtel étant à proximité immédiate de la gare les fenêtres de chambres sont à 2m le la voix donc le bruit incessant des trains et bus qui passe… je met 3 étoiles pour la qualités de la chambre sinon je mettrais même encore moins.

Prima hotel maar rommelig. Veel stoelen en overbodige spullen in de gang. Ontbijt heb ik nog nooit zo uitgebreid gezien maar daardoor oogde alles erg rommelig. Kamer stonk zuur (waarschijnlijk type schoonmaakmiddel) niet prettig, meteen raam open dus. Geen airco dat was echt een misser. Aardig personeel, en in een oud treinstation. Treinen en verkeer geeft redelijk veel lawaai

Zeer leuke ontvangst door heel vriendelijke dame. Mooie nette kamer, zeer proper, en biertjes, water en koffie gratis ter beschikking. Zeer comfortabele bedden. Bij het ontbijt was er royaal veel keuze, en voor een zeer schappelijke prijs. Hotel ligt ook op een boogscheut van de winkelstraat en de grote markt. Dit hotel mag ons zeker terug verwachten.
