Everything about our stay was great. The hotel was busy because of Winterlude, but it never felt crowded. We enjoyed the pool, small sauna, hot tub and ping-pong in the games room. The rooms haven’t been updated décor-wise, but we actually found that nostalgic (hello, corded phone beside the toilet 😄). The beds were very comfortable, and the suite was spotless. Having a kitchenette was a real bonus since we have dietary restrictions and it saves having to eat out for every meal.
I unfortunately forgot my Goldilocks pillow in the room and only realized once I was back home in Toronto, but the front desk staff were incredibly kind and accommodating and arranged to have it mailed to me. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Ottawa!

The staff was above helpful, their maintenance man was exceptional in putting together two (2) skate trainers that I had purchased (I asked the front desk to borrow a screwdriver and they indicated that they had a maintenance person on staff).

The front desk lady told us she upgraded our room. It was the worst room ever. It was the smallest room we've ever been in at this hotel and we have been coming here for 25 years. The bed was so small we kept falling off the bed. Had a terrible sleep. The hot tub wasn't working and the pool was freezing. The kitchen was not stocked with enough cutlery and cooking utensils. The fry pan was so small we had to cook and eat separately. We're never going back!

The location was perfect for visiting the downtown Ottawa area and seeing all the lights . we visited Byward market, the rideau center and all is very close. We took advantage of the parking at City Hall to make it even more affordable.

The bed is too soft. There are some areas that need to be clean like the bathroom baseboards.. there is heat in the bathroom. The bathroom fan work with timers. Some people were loud at night. It was difficult to find a parking the second day I was there. Not chance to check the pool or fitness area. The kitchen needs to be updated. I have been not using the kitchen . Only the microwave and kettle and the refrigerator to store my juice and milk. The stove is old and the kettle is too small for use with a family, barely it boils 3 cups of water. The tv is not smart I can not cast my movie. The area is close to many places like restaurants and stores. Safely to walk at night.

My only concerns were relatively minor. The in-suite kitchen was convenient but could have been better stocked; a few more basic items would have made cooking easier. Additionally, there was construction happening on the street during my stay, which led to early-morning and all-day noise. Of course, that’s temporary and beyond the hotel’s control, but it did affect the overall experience.
Despite those issues, I still rate my stay 4 stars. It’s a solid choice for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a great location in Ottawa. I'd be happy to stay here again once the construction wraps up.

We really like the full kitchen but there was no pucks for the dishwasher.The TV didnt have a guide and it was very impractical to watch something on TV. The plugs are old and loose , when you plug a phone charger it easily falls out and no USB plugs.
