The location is great and the property is well secured. They are on top of their cleaning as they clean the room everyday. The restaurant food is good and there's a supermarket right across the street.

It is a standard-issue Marriott with very nice gym. The only but crucially important thing about it is that it is very safe (walled/fenced with controlled access and armed guards). A US-style supermarket across the street, safe to walk to even for a white girl. Cannot say I would stay again because I amnot returning to Haiti until major improvements of the whole country/society.

What an amazing Hotel

I love the hotel it was very nice. The customer service was great and the breakfast was delicious. I will definitely be going back there I just have to figure out if they offer Airport pick up and shuttle. Getting around pretty princess hard if you do not have a ride to and from the airport. However this hotel was amazing and now that I know there are hotels like this in Port-au-Prince I might try and visit there more often.

I loved the lobby. The hotel is very impressive when you first step inside. Definitely has curb appeal. The staff was wonderful and the food was pretty good.

I arranged a car which was misrepresented. The site gives the indication a professional car service. The car experience was pretty scary, the windows didn’t even roll all the way up. It was dark during our 5:30 am trek to the airport and that made me nervous. Our driver also stopped to ask someone a question which made us very nervous. When paying 45 dollars for a 15 minute ride I would expect things to be a little safer.

I think it’s a shame this property belongs to the Marriott chain.
I had to ask for towels 3 times before someone finally showed up at 8PM with two body towels, I asked specifically twice again for full sets of towels and that just never happened.
We wanted to relax by the pool, but that was also a failure because the ENTIRE day, there was someone water cleaning with the loudest machine ever. We were there perhaps from 12-4 hoping it would end at one point but no.
The food was very average, very pricey for what you can get at other good hotels in Haiti (better food, cheaper)
The great Mountain View was nothing but the building right in front of us and some mountain peaks you can see in the back (we were on a lower floor)
Overall, very disappointed and couldn’t UNrecommend more.
Oh breakfast buffet was an additional $35 per room and it’s a joke; you have two kinds of local cheese, some smoked salmon, two kinds of pork ham, tomato, lettuce, butter, bread, three kinds of fruits, hard boiled eggs and cereals. Even the days inn sometimes have a better buffet for included breakfast!!!!!

Our stay was wonderful. We had bussiness to attend to. The internet was on all the time and was good for working overseas. The Resteruant was amazing with fresh meets and items we requested that were not in the menu. The chefs and servers were great. Very friendly and attentive. Rooms clean and comfortable ac perfect! And let’s not forget front desk Personel did a great job with accommodations and help. Thank you!

Everything was great. The staffs were very helpful and courteous including the gentleman at the counter and Jeff who helped us with our luggage to the room. The only thing that I was not very happy about is that someone came in the room while we were out and took a rollaway bed without even telling us. Hopefully, this person will be retrained. Beside that incident, everything was good.

Great place overall

We had a nice family stay, staff was helpfull and courteous overall. Our room was spacious and clean. No complains about the guests wi-fi neither. Restaurant was good, food was delicious although menu is limited and service slow. Not much to do around the place and surrounding areas feels somewhat unsafe. Moving around the city is another issue, but you'll be fine if you are open to a different experience. I loved Haiti and it's people.

I was disappointed with the food, food service and cost of the meals. There is deception in what you pay for at the restaurant. Unknowing to most diners, there is a service charge AND extra tip included in your food bill prior to paying. Of course one pays a tip on top of a tip and what is the 10% service charge for? No one could really explain. The hotel is located where there aren't restaurants and one has to eat at the Marriott restaurant. Food gets quite boring and tasteless after a while. Far too expensive.

Hotel room was good, except it was difficult finding a room that didn't smell of mildew. Room service was very good.

Don't Miss Out!

I am a huge fan of \"Marriott Port-au-Prince\". I always make sure to stay for at least one night every time I go to Haiti. The service is upbeat; the staff very friendly and attentive; the food as delicious to lick up one's fingers; breakfast is varied between Haitian and exotic cuisines and nutritionally well balanced; the room and bathroom very clean and comfortable; TV with international channels, fast-speed WiFi and also free; a very nice freezer, but no microwave. My favorite spot in this hotel is the outdoor pool because it is always caressed by the warmth of lady Haiti.

Among the staff, I especially salute chef Doddy for his succulent dishes and Pouloute for his remarkable diligence as a waiter. Thank you, guys!

This is an excellent hotel to stay in. So far, after numerous stays, I still do not have any complaints. I believe you will also enjoy your stay as a guess. Please go for it!

Overall, I had a great time. The hospitality is top notch, especially the wait staff and bar staff. When you go, ask for these at the bar... Striker, Michee, and Fensley. They will take care of you. The air conditioning in the room seem to not work, so a couple nights it was very hot, so my only bad situation was the A/C, but that could be also the nature of the beast due to being in a hot climate. The hotel did send up an engineer who played with the thermostat, no change. Hotel Room safes are a must and worked great. The food is very commercialized, so I wish it was more authentic Haitian, but still very good. I would like to see the hotel provide FREE shuttle service, but for now, budget between $40-$45 USD for one way.

For a \"luxury\" I was very disappointed.

The first room the put me in had mold. I could smell it as I walk in the room. I quickly called the front desk to tell them that I was diagnosed with allergies to mold. They ask me to stay in the room they will come and take me to another room. Thirty minutes later, I walked to the front desk and told them. I was put an another room where I did not smell any mold, but the AC was off. I turned on the AC. I left the room and came back to find the strong smell of mold. I also have allergies to terminates. I got up one night to find termites in the room. They did finally put me in another room with less issues and were very apologetic. However, I came home suffering from my allergy symptoms.

Great hotel except for nighttime concert

We always stay at this hotel because it has everything we need at a reasonable price. Also the staff is incredibly accommodating. The only problem with our stay this time was that there was a concert on Friday night that lasted pretty much all night. We were completely unprepared for this and don't mind the concert but it was very hard to sleep. I would hope that next time we would be forewarned about this so that perhaps we would stay somewhere else for that night since we needed to do business the next day.

Great place .,.! but not worth the almost $200.00.

I stayed there with my wife for 8 days .
Our room was excellent and we enjoyed the view of the mountain . Very friendly staff but unfortunately poorly trained .
Food is highly priced and not at all worth it
Ordered - goat curried and got 3 bones with almost no meat at all.
Unless the food problem is resolved, I'll look somewhere else to eat.
But nice place overall!!

A good hotel, friendly staff, modern clean rooms. Small refrigerator in room with 2 bottles of water per day.Missed a coffee maker in room. Nice touch to get a free sim card on check in. Wifi worked well. Room rates are high but then thats to be expected in Haiti. Good security. I will stay nowhere else in Haiti.
