A charming hotel in the center of all the action. Location was ideal, walking distance from main sights. Clean room, nicely decorated, very friendly staff. Did not have breakfast at the hotel. But the restaurant right across the street offering Bavarian cuisine was superb. I would definitely stay in the hotel again.

The best thing about the hotel is undoubtedly the friendliness of all the staff. From the guy who checked us in on the first day, who was very kind to us and made it easy for us after a long journey, to the person in charge of the buffet in the mornings. We had a problem with the heating and one of the other guys at reception kindly brought up his own heater from his desk. It is a very well communicated hotel, but without a doubt what I would highlight the most is the friendliness of the staff.

The hotel is elegant and conveniently located almost exactly at a bus stop for the number 1 Wiesbaden bus. Shopping is convenient as there is a Penny Supermarket and a late open Spaeti about a block away. There is an elevator but unfortunately the nice inner hof closes no later than 10 p.m. We were there during exceptionally warm weather in a room facing west that was uncomfortably warm until the sun set. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel de “Farce” is a more apt moniker.

Stay away from this disaster of a hotel; ancient furnishings, decor, and horrible location. Zero available parking within a kilometre of the hotel and they actually expect customers to park in a casino parkade and then walk to the hotel; maybe ok on a nice day; but I arrived after dark, with temperatures near 0 Celsius, and freezing rain falling. For an older age person; it is not acceptable to say park a kilometre away and walk in the dark and freezing rain while carrying heavy suitcases. The callousness and utter disregard of the hotel staff to demand this of their supposed “guests” is unacceptable and narcissistic of the staff and this hotel. Hotels cannot assume that all guests are young and fit, there was zero concern for the mobility and well being of guests with regard to parking.

The furnishings and decor are like a nightmare set in the 1700’s; also very noisy…elevator was old and worn, heard doors opening and closing all night in the hallways…no modern conveniences whatsoever…so no good rest and no relaxation at this hotel at all.

If your only choice is Hotel de France; do yourself a favour and instead choose to sleep in your car, a culvert, or find a local cave outside of town; you will be happier, better rested in the morning compared to staying at this hotel and dealing with their arrogant, disrespectful staff.

This was a solo stay. Check in was good. Staff friendly and throughout my stay very available and helpful. The single room was adequate, comfortable. Bathroom was newer & good. Location is great, lots of restaurants and bars in the area, 10 minute walk to pedestrian zone. I did not avail of the hotel restaurant services.

Clean and decent hotel but noisy and no AC

Hotel is located very near to the shopping area. Lots of restaurants nearby. Old hotel with a tiny elevator for three people each time. No AC which was shocking as I always assumed it was a given under hotel facilities. Along the main road and pubs so noise was a big thing (no wonder they gave ear plugs in the room).

Many good restaurants are within a short walk of the hotel, which is located on a very upscale street in Wiesbaden.The staff all are fluent in English and very helpful. The room faced the street with a charming bay window outside of which was a tree giving the feeling of privacy. The bed and bedding were comfortable; bathroom well equipped with toiletries and towels. WIFI worked well but TV functioning is odd and tedious, but worked well once connected.

Hotel only deserves Two stars

Hotel manager did not speak any English. The room we were given was a joke. Definitely not 4 star. The double bed was against the wall so you could not get out. Dark and dingy. After a lot of complaining we were changed to a slightly better room. It had no air con and when you opened the window the noise from the traffic was horrendous. We were also next to a small lift which was very noisy in the early morning. The hotel needed a complete revamp. The pictures of the garden, staircase and rooms were nothing like the Internet pictures. The bathroom was so small you had your knees against the wall when on the toilet and had to squeeze into the shower. The TV needed a computer technician to work as it was such an antiquated system. Four star is a joke this should be re-classified to a two star. One of the most disappointing hotels we have stayed in on hotels.com. We would have liked a refund or to book somewhere else. Unfortunately we paid up front so would have lost money. Feel that hotels.com should look at some form of compensation. All other hotels booked on this trip have been superb. Very disappointed with this hotel.

We spent 10 days in Weisbaden to spend time with some old friends that were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. We had such a good time visiting a town that we lived in 40 years ago. This a very small boutique space and 1.5 KM from the city center, staff are rude and thinking they doing you a favor having you in their place, Elevator can fit luggage only, The rooms don't have any heater or A/C ,the parking on the street is very difficult but they have a remote parking approximately 600 Meter away. there is a coffee machine in the room and they provide coffee bags on the day of arrival only the rest of days they don't change toiletries or coffee, I stayed two days and escaped ,paid 550 Euro. this was a rip-off for this joke place .

Great crib for business or romance

This clean and well-appointed hotel has it all. The recently renovated rooms are sharply decorated and very comfortable. If you're there on business, you'll feel great and work efficiently. In the morning, particularly on a weekday, you'll share the breakfast room with quite a few German business travelers, Romantic travelers will appreciate the quiet rooms and peaceful neighborhood behind the hotel (if you book a room on the back side, which is recommended for romantic stays). There is also a unique and special garden suite on the first floor, which you can nab if you book early. On weekends, you won't be the only pair taking their time to enjoy the ample and tasty breakfast fare. As a bonus, the romance doesn't end with the hotel. Wiesbaden suffered less wartime damage than other German cities, and at the Hotel de France, you find yourself in the middle of a very nice 19th/20th century German neighborhood. All normal types of shops are nearby, so it's as if you're \"living in Germany\". Even better -- a quarter-mile walk gets you to the city's extensive pedestrian-only area, which teems with stores and restaurants of all kinds. In short, if you wish to get a great feel for a slightly-upscale (and quite nice) aspect of modern Germany, then park your luggage at the Hotel de France for a few days and enjoy!

Two perfect nights

My friend and I spent two nights in Wiesbaden at Hotel de France. We booked in around 10 pm and when we left at noon the receptionist was kind enough to hold our bags while we spent the day at the Kaiser-Friedrich-Therme (mineral baths). Would definitely stay there again.

Wiesbaden - Great locale and superb service

A fews days off - located midway between the town and the fernicular railway/ park - go see it, try it ! A nice walk into town for bars, restaurants and shops. The hotel is in an elegant location, in the antiques area and fairly quiet, although traffic cannot be avoided in any city ! I stay in hotels A LOT and this left me relaxed and could show some big brand 5 star hotels some tricks about service and quality ! Will go back without question.

This hotel is a night mare and a rip off. Even if it seems to be better in the pics, KEEP IN MIND ITS A 2 STAR HOTEL AND EXACTLY THAT LEVEL OF FRIENDLINESS, PROFESSIONALISM, CLEANLINESS ETC

Those are just a few examples of my stay;

1. €165 FOR EMOTIONAL SUPPORT PET (11days) I have doctors notes, certificate of training, my diagnose + recognition certificate from the government - they said their hotel has their own rules and I can go complain to the city.

2. ROOMS HAVE INSECTS. Spiders, Bugs etc

3. MY INVOICE WAS INCORRECT BY €120 at the check out and the receptionist said he is VERY BUSY, I NEED TO PAY THE INCORRECT INVOICE AND THEN SEND AN EMAIL TO GET REFUND 😱

4. I CANCELLED THE LAST DAYS STAY & RECEPTIONIST WANTED ME TO PAY A CANCELLATION COST (additionally to the room already was prepaid )

5. There is one guy at the reception , usually afternoons, he is super sweet and very helpful BUT HE IS THE ONLY ONE AT THAT PROPERTY, THE REST ARE MEAN, UNFRIENDLY, UNPROFESSIONAL, TRYING TO RIP YOU OFF ETC

I can go on and on about it. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO MAKE THE MISTAKE OF STAYING IN THIS HELL HOUSE.

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut. Fussläufig sind die Innenstadt, das Kurhaus sowie das Staatstheater leicht zu erreichen. Als Parkmöglichkeit wird das Parkhaus des Kurhauses angegeben. Was schon höherpreisig ausfällt. Das Zimmer war gepflegt und für zwei Personen volkommen ausreichend. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Frühstück ausgesprochen schmackhaft.

Trädgården var inte öppen/iordning och balkongen gick inte att använda. Svårt med parkering efter 19, då det är gratis på gatan mellan kl. 19:00-21:00. Endast två glas för allt och tre stolar, trots att det var familjerum för fyra. Vi hade ett bra badrum, så var det inte i alla rum.

Das Einzelzimmer im 3. Stock ist sehr klein aber alles drin. Mann sollte jedoch nicht über 1,80 m groß sein oder über 90 Kilo haben. Das hält der Platz im Bad nicht aus.

駅からは徒歩30分くらいですが、繁華街や観光地は近いです。
都市のホテルらしく、レセプションの対応はとてもスピーディーでした。

部屋は天井が高く、豪華な雰囲気ですが、Wi-Fiも良好な上、機能的なつくりで使いやすかったです。
ミニバーのミネラルウォーターが、1本だけ冷蔵庫の中ではなく、机の上に置かれていますが、これも有料のものなので、間違えないように気をつけましょう(笑)

チェックインの時は、テキパキとした印象だけでしたが、
チェックアウトの際は、笑顔で滞在はどうでしたか？とたずねてくれました。
とても快適でした！など会話していると、知っている日本語を話してくれたり、なんだかとても温かい気持ちでホテルをあとにすることができました。

Hôtel 4* sans possibilité de faire une tasse de thé dans la chambre sans airco? Hmmm en plus cette hôtel est mal entretenu. Rien de grave mais pas mal de chose qui sont à reprendre. Des portes qui ont besoin de une goutte de huile, bref …..
Nous avions pris le junior suite et hélas ceci est on dessous la cuisine et le personnel sort régulièrement qui cette bruit rentre directement dans la chambre au dessus. Dommage pour la nuit.

Die Lage ist perfekt .Schnell zu Fuß in der Innenstadt.
Die Dame am Empfang sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Die Zimmer sind geräumig. Es gab einen Standlüfter.
Alles sauber und gepflegt. Eine gute Wahl
