A haven of serenity on Bodrum peninsula

We loved the relaxed and friendly atmosphere at the 4 Reasons. There was plenty of space and beds around the pool and it all felt very tranquil with stunning views of Yalikavak below. Staff around the bar are attentive and friendly.
We enjoyed games of pool in the evening.
It's about a 20 min walk down to the beach, we took taxis back which were fairly cheap.
The hotel also gave advice on other places to eat - recomend a dinner in Gumusluk. And if you go to the old mariner there's a cooperative of boat owners and can arrange gullet trips, either private or part of a small group.
We stayed in a 2-bedroom room which had plenty of space for us and teenage daughter with seaview balcony.

Beautiful & welcoming

The hotel was a perfect little hideaway from all the hustle of Yallakavick. It’s a little further out from Bodrum city centre so something to factor in if you want to be making trips to that part of town. But the service is excellent (Shaban basically planned my three day itinerary for me!), the view is beautiful and the bed is incredibly comfortable. A great place to unwind.

Lovely one week holiday at this smart boutique hotel, nice 15 metre pool and lounge area get sun most of the day.
Staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. Head bar manager Abdu was especially good

Wonderful experience

Truly a unique property… the staff and the service is 5 star no doubt! By far the best hotel I stayed in all of Turkey. Best kept secret… Highly recommended. Other big or brand hotels are no competition for this unique hotel. Everything was just close to perfect.

Excellent facilities and fabulous views.

Requests at reception were dealt with efficiently.
Our 'passionate room' was spacious, cleaned daily, clean towels provided daily, air conditioning worked well, a large comfortable bed, plenty of hot water at high pressure, fabulous views the balcony.
Swimming in the large pool was very pleasant and there were always spare loungers with shade if we wanted it.
At the bar/restaurant the vitamin drinks were made to order from fresh fruit and veg.; complimentary nuts were always provided with drinks; good food and service.

Fantastic boutique hotel with a very laid back vibe. Wonderful views coupled with lovely staff who really look after you. Breakfast on the terrace was delicious served by Ifan who was a delight. Will defiantly return.

Pleasant, relaxing week.

A pretty hotel with beautiful gardens & a spotlessly clean pool with comfortable sun loungers. The rooms are spacious but having paid for a \" Passionate room\" we found that although the bed was large & extremely comfortable it was so low to the ground (about 6 inches) that we had a real struggle to get out of it! The fact that the base of the bed was surrounded with large pebbles also added to the problem. We are fit 70 year olds but we did struggle. The steps down to the pool & restaurant have no hand rail & there is nowhere to hang on as the wall is overgrown with plants. I note from a previous reviewer that she fell down these & broke her leg. I would have thought that a rail would have been added then.

The staff are friendly & the food very good. The hotel was practically empty & the season seems to have finished early this year due to the lack of tourists. The beach club was closed which was a bit of a disappointment. There was a feeling of the hotel being dismantled around us for the winter & a general feeling of boredom from the staff. Unfortunately there was also building work going on in front of the hotel as land was being cleared to build a house. We had noise all day long & smoke from vegetation being burned on several occasions. We were told that construction can start from October 1st in the Bodrum area. It has always been banned in the tourist areas we have visited before until November 1st.

We still had a relaxing time but would probably not visit again.

Perfect Boutique Hotel

One of the best boutique hotels I've stayed at. Very peaceful, relaxed vibe in the hotel with great views out over the bay. Rooms were great and staff are super helpful.

Cant fault anything at the hotel.

Only thing to bear in mind is that you will need a car to get around the peninsula as taxis are pretty expensive.

Fabulous hotel

Although the hotel was a little hard to find when we arrived I knew we would love our time there - and we certainly did! The room was fabulous and very spacious. The furnishings were all of high standard, there was plenty of storage space, the bathroom was lovely and it had a little balcony overlooking the surrounding area with a bit of a sea view as well. It was very quiet at night and very peaceful overall. The pool area was great and they even had a games room with a lounge area.
It was so nice eating breakfast and having a drink on the large terrace while watching the sunset. We ate dinner there twice and the food was delicious and quite reasonable.
The only issue for people thinking of staying here could be the distance from the town centre and there was nothing around the hotel. It would be hard without a car which I think you really want anyway so you can explore the area. We loved Yalikavak and enjoyed exploring other towns too.

Lovely hotel location & size

Absolutely lovely apart from one thing - the hotel bistro food. The room was great, the view was great, the pool was great, the cleaners were great, the staff were as friendly as you wanted them to be & the (mostly British) other guests were not obnoxious or too loud.

We ordered lunch food at the hotel twice, and both times were disappointing.
The first afternoon we ordered grilled vegetables & chicken wrap. The wrap tasted nice, but I discovered something odd on the outside of the wrap, that looked very similar to a sliver of raw chicken. The bartender tried to convince me it was a bit of tomato, but I cook a lot with chicken, so not sure. The grilled vegetables were a bit too oily for my tastes, but ok.
The next day we had a simple pasta dish & a burger and chips. Again, the pasta had a foreign object in it. This time a random piece of browny-grey matter, but this didn't look like raw meat at least. The burger was very small and thin - I'm used to going to decent burger places in the UK such as GBK so was rather disappointed.
Perhaps the dinner menu was better but we didn't try it.
I should add that the breakfast was very good and simple - all the eggs, fresh chopped fruit, bread, cereal you could wish for.

Home away from home

A quiet oasis that was the perfect antidote for a busy life. This hotel offers a bespoke personalised service. Not your standard run of the mill hotel - full of kids playgrounds and set programs every. Food was generous in portions and tasty. Staff went out of their way to make you feel at home.
I will be back but hope the secret doesn't get out about this place....

Lovely small& friendly hotel with sea views.

We had a great 1 week holiday here- yalikavak is a pleasant, quiet town. Beautiful at Easter time- not too busy, great weather and lots of pretty flowers. The hotel is great- small and friendly with incredibly helpful and attentive staff.

Beautiful hotel, marvellous views and pool.

Driving up winding road wondering what I would find... What a marvellous surprise ! Amazing views over the gulf to the Greek Islands, delicious food, stunning pool and helpful staff. I would certainly recommend it . Definitely need a car though as not on bus route and a short drive to the harbour and restaurants.

A little piece of heaven

This hotel is a little piece of heaven. A real oasis after a busy, bustly time in Istanbul. The room was well appointed, the staff were always very helpful but not intrusive.
The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk to the town centre but I wouldn't be put off by that. Either enjoy the walk or rent a car.

Best hotel experience in a long time

I travel a lot and stay at at lot of Hotels. I have never done a review of a hotel before. This is a perfect clean and Extreme pride of ownership hotel. Hotel is amazing garden like setting with not a speck of dirt anywhere. Food was great. I worked very late the night before check out and the staff had even provided me with a sandwich (their Idea) which was greatly appreciated. I will definitely bring my wife and family to this hotel if I get the opportunity. I also strongly recommended this hotel to my customer who owns one of the mega-yachts at PalMarina. One of the best high end hotels I have stayed at for a very reasonable price.

Great hotel to switch off and relax

The hotel was great and absolutely spotless. The staff couldn't do enough for you if they remembered your request for example eggs at breakfast, drinks etc. On our first night we had to wait over an hour for our main course and when it arrived, one of the meals was inedible although to give the hotel credit they did take it off of our bill. The hotel is in a great location high up on the hillside with amazing views, close to Yalikavak's centre and the beaches. It is a great place to spend a few days if you are looking to relax and totally switch off. I would recommend walking into the centre for dinner as the restaurants were amazing and very reasonably priced.

Boutique hotel without the boutique pricetag

Their moto (the four 'reasons' behind the hotel name# is: serenity, design, quality and attitude. Sounds a little contrived, but the hotel and small tight team of staff DO deliver on the promise.

Stylish, comfortable rooms are kept exceptionally clean. Gorgeous pool surrounded by a dozen sun loungers, canopies and an area with bean bags for lazier slumping. There’s a tranquil garden and tinkling fountain #home to rather overexcited, raucous toads#.

Small meze plates in the bistro are great value #less than £4 each#. I tried battered mussels and a slightly spicy liver dish, and a main meal of lamb chops – all good. The bistro/bar manager Birol is a star cocktail mixologist, having won accolades in the past in Istanbul. His apple martini deserves top billing. His colleague and protégé Serhat busied himself inventing new concoctions under the encouraging eye of the master shaker. Gulcan - the only female member of staff - is team waitress. All friendly, polite, good at what they do - attentive but never intrusive; just the right balance of service.

Ali and Ahmed - very much a double act - do the main front of house liaison with guests. They sort anything; nothing is too much trouble for them - taxis, boat trips, Turkish bath/massage sessions, check museum openings, do route plans, recommend local restaurants #although many guests staying at the 4 Reasons seem to end up eating back at the hotel, having experienced what's on offer elsewhere for the same price#.

Great hotel for tranquility and service

The hotel never fails to deliver on its promise of Serenity, Design, Quality and Attitude. Set in the tranquill hills above Yalikavak town centre it is perfect in every way, the bistro serves delicious food, especially the home cooked breads, the hotel is beautiful and provides picturesque views down to the coast but best of all is the service, Ali, Youseff and especially Sahad couldnt do enough for us. Thoroughly recomend this hotel to everyone and hope to book again soon.

Superb quality in a relaxing atmosphere

Although it was a short stay, we had a truly wonderful time at the 4reasons hotel. Dedicated to high quality, the staff is always attentive, rooms are very comfortable and clean. The facility delivers on its promise of quality and design in every corner of the hotel from the rooms to the bar and rest areas. The bistro offers some excellent menu items.
The highlight for us however, was the overall relaxing atmosphere, which made this short trip worthwhile. We are definitely coming back to 4reasons in the very near future.

Odaların ses yalıtımlı olduğu belirtilmiş ama her sabah 6:00 da , arap dostlarımızın konuşmaları odamızın içindeydi. Sayelerinde arapça öğrenecektik neredeyse. Hiçbir sabah uyuyamadık. Odamızdaki minibar çalışmıyordu. Genelde oda dışında olduğumuz için çok umursamadık bu durumu. Ama her gün içeriği kontrol eden bir cihazın çalışmadığının anlaşılmaması çok enteresan geldi.Otelde kullanılan malzemeler oldukça kaliteli ve personel oldukça kibar. Ufak sorunlar çözülebilirse çok keyifli bir yer haline gelebilir.
