Lovely hotel room was nice had a fridge and a lovely balcony, pool are was also really nice not to crowded also had an adults only pool and kids, staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is prefect 2 minutes away from the beach and 5-15 minutes away from shops and restaurants

The Marelen was perfect for us, the breakfast had many options, the pool bar was top notch service, its location is perfectly between the beach and main road for shops etc.

We were visiting for a few days for a wedding so staying in different hotels and multiple people mentioned how they really liked our hotel compared to others in the area - we are hoping to be back for a proper holiday next year!

Hotel is recommended. The hotel staff were all really friendly, rooms were clean and the facilities good. Food options were great with the added bonus of traditional greek dancing at the Eden Cocktail bar. Close to bars and restaurants, and short walk to the beach.

We've just returned home from an absolutely wonderful 10 night stay at this hotel. All of the friendly staff work very hard and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. There was a great variety of hot and cold food at breakfast, which we enjoyed every day. The hotel grounds and gardens are beautifully well maintained. We also loved the separate pool for adults only, which offered a peaceful retreat. The hotel's location is perfect for access to the nearby beach and the main Kalamaki 'strip', with a great choice of restaurants, bars and supermarkets. We will definitely be back to the Merelen Hotel!

Property had everything we needed. Breakfast was a buffet with 8 large stations (all type of options). 5 minute walk from the beach (no rocks at all and the beach was so shallow you could swing out quite a distance). Cabs were pretty accessible with short wait times, 10 min walk from one of the strips with plenty of restaurant and shopping options. 10 minute cab ride to the airport

Situated nice quiet location with only 2-3 walk from the Kalamaki beach. Hotel was nice and clean and facilities were good. And breakfast and dinner was great.

Only thing is that the cocktail bar opens in the evening the cocktail drink were NOT good at all and expensive compared to other places. Think they should just sell alcohols apart from cocktails...

But overall I had goodd experience withvthis resort

Brilliant hotel great location. Best part me and my family was the food we did half bord and was he best buffet food we have ever had. So fresh and different every night.
The only down fall was the planes going over the hotel
But you do get use to it.

Overall brilliant hotel our first holiday with our toddler we would definitely return.

Staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time. Location wise, its close to the airport but there are only a couple planes a day so you rarely hear noise. The breakfast buffet has an amazing selection of food. Very much recommend and would stay there again if I visit Zante again!

Good value close to the airport

Staff were very helpful at check-in, they recognised my Gold status and applied the benefits. Hotel is at the end of the airport runway and certain rooms may be noisy in height of summer. I ate at the buffet restaurant which was fine for both dinner and breakfast. Good hotel with nice service at a reasonable price can really fault it

We stayed 2 weeks at the hotel with 2 kids. The place is very okay for the discount price we paid and eventhough the location is very close to the airport there is a nice beach nearby at walking distance as well as the main road. The check-in was not as we expected as the belly boy was not that friendly and didn't offer to help us take the luggage as he did for other guests. The room they initially gave us had a very small shower so different from the photos we saw when we booked and was close to the parking. They moved us to another room with a renovated shower but still there was no Wifi in the room and as a matter fact both room didn't. They didn't fix it after we told them but since we were close to the pool where there was wifi we gave up on that. I don't recommend taking half board if you're staying longer than 3 days as you'll very quickly get bored by the selection and the quality of the food. It's basically average and anything other than Greek food is not well done. Dessert is limited and they use always same ingredients but change the look. Fruit is not always fresh and it's mostly watermelon and pineapple. The staff cleaning the tables are looking every 2minutes to take the plates which becomes very annoying especially when they are ina rush and sometimes you haven't even finished.It was quite busy everyday so there was a lineup. There isn't any lifeguard at the pool or any entertainment show for the kids nor a gym so I advise you to rent a car during your stay.

Brilliant Location

Had the most amazing time at Marelen Hotel and will be looking to stay here again. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the hotel couldn't have a better location being just a short walk from the main centre with all the restaurants and bars as well as only being 250 metres from the beach.

The hotel is excellent and we had a great stay. All the staff are helpful, friendly and very welcoming without being intrusive. They really work hard and especially with the current covid situation the staff take yours and their health really seriously, at no point did we feel at risk or that we were putting anyone else at risk.
The food is fantastic, we had breakfast and the buffet. The staff serve you the food from the breakfast and evening buffet selections and you just choose what you want.
We spent days relaxing by the main pool which has a great snack bar and when the kids did their own thing we went to the adult pool which is amazing. There is also a great kids pool for the younger ones.
Very near the lovely sandy beach just 2 minutes walk away.
I highly recommend this hotel we had a perfect holiday and will definitely go back.

Hotel Marelen is a modern hotel, 10 minutes from Laganas. The rooms are clean and a nice size with gorgeous pools to relax. There’s a variety of snacks that are nice and drinks at the pool but no cocktails. The staff were helpful and it is a 10 minute walk to Kalamaki which has the most amazing restaurants based there. The only thing that the hotel could improve was to have an entertainment team or music playing around the pool however an entertainment team may not have been there due to covid. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

The hotel is adequate, reasonably clean, breakfast is reasonable. Fine if you want a no frills holiday. However, there is no element of customer service, no care about whether you have what you need to enjoy your holiday.
Check out was poor, I handed over the keys and asked to check out, they said goodbye. Nothing about how our holiday was? We had a late check out, luggage is kept in an unlocked room in the (tiny) carpark. We had to use our week old beach towels to dry ourselves, there was no shower gel, no where to hang dry clothes as you showered and changed. Lights that were on a short time switch so constantly went out. I could go on but I won’t. This is NOT a four star hotel, it would scrape a 3. However if you want something close to the airport, the beach and good restaurants then good luck....

The room was clean but small (for 3). Breakfast buffet was okay, as expected for a package hotel buffet.
The main pool got very crowded&is packed with sunbeds but the kids splash area was great.
Our air conditioning broke and they fixed it quickly but it wasn't great even when it did work. Free wifi areas very limited. Reception staff not very friendly.
Very close to the beach.
Wouldn't stay again - Venus hotel was much better.

Really friendly staff from the moment we arrived. Unlike most other hotels I've stayed at, there wasn't any need to reserve sun loungers around the pool. This takes away lots of hassle when you're part of a family of four!

The Marelen Hotel is an excellent hotel. The staff are extremely kind - they are very attentive, nothing is too much trouble for them and they add extra touches which makes your stay extra special. The rooms are well decorated, clean, are air conditioned and all have balconies. The range of food offered at the hotel is also excellent - with a wide variety of tastes being catered for. The hotel also has three pool areas - one for families, one for adults and one for children. Finally, the location of the hotel is ideal - five minute walk from central Kalamaki, two minute walk to Kalamaki beach and less than 10 minutes from the airport. And to top it all off ... you’ll get your own personalised view of the planes landing and taking off from Zakynthos airport ... which adds an additional dimension to your stay! All in all - an excellent hotel, excellent staff and an excellent experience overall! The Marelen Hotel is well worth considering when wanting to stay in Kalamaki in the future.

My family and I stayed at Marelen Hotel in mid-June for 7 nights. The hotel is around 10-15 minutes from Zakynthos International Airport and the taxi fare was 13 Euros.

We found the hotel staff to be very friendly and professional and the room (superior double) to be bright and comfortably spacious. We enjoyed using the balcony as we had a room looking on to the chapel so not facing any other rooms and it was a joy to have my cup of tea every morning before getting ready to hit the beach/pool.

The hotel has a theme for their dinner menu every night and we ate twice at the hotel - one for thier BBQ night and Zakynthos theme evening and they were both excellent. The dinners are served in buffet style so you're free to choose how much of anything you want to try which made it enjoyable. We also found the breakfast buffet to be fresh and varied and I particularly enjoyed the sausages! They had beans everyday, clearly catering for anyone missing the food in the UK! Overall, the catering in the hotel was exceptional and helpful for feeding our fussy 4-year-old - the cook will be happy to prepare your little one some chicken nuggets and chips if that's what they're after - Sevi, who was in charge of the dining room was brilliant.

The Hotel had three swimming pools - the adult pool, the main pool and the splash park. I went to the adult pool twice during our stay and enjoyed the jacuzzi and the tranquility of the adult only space but it doesn't have much of a view and I felt a lit

Had a lovely stay at the Hotel Marelen. Stayed as part of a large wedding party and everyone enjoyed themselves. Sevi on reception is welcoming, friendly and very helpful. There was a good choice at breakfasts and the two buffet dinners we had we great too. For the price, would definitely recommend.

Das Marelen Hotel war für uns die perfekte Unterkunft auf Zakynthos. Eine sehr schöne Hotelanlage, super saubere Zimmer, ein tolles, abwechslungsreiches Buffet morgens und abends, schöne Poolanlagen mit Poolbar (sehr empfehlenswerte kleine Snack-Karte) und extrem freundliches, unaufdringliches Personal. Außerdem tägliche Zimmerreinigung inkl. Handtuchtausch sowie ein Set Poolhandtücher, die jeden zweiten Tag getauscht werden konnten. Die Touristenmeile von Kalamaki mit Shops und Restaurants ist fußläufig. Der Strand war nur 3-5 Gehminuten entfernt (kein Zutritt nach Sonnenuntergang).

Die Lage des Hotels ist unweit des Flughafens, wer sehr geräuschempfindlich ist, kann sich von den landenden und startenden Flugzeugen gestört fühlen. Für uns war das kein Problem. Das Publikum war sehr international, leicht britisch dominiert. Mit Englisch kommt man super durch.

Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer mit zwei Schlafzimmern, einem großen Balkon und einer kleinen Pantry. Die Klimaanlagen waren einfach zu bedienen und kaum zu hören. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Das Bad war doch arg klein und die Dusche nicht ganz dicht. Aber das ist echt Meckern auf hohem Niveau.

Abends konnte man es sich an der Cocktailbar gemütlich machen, der Barkeeper hatte eine exzellente Playlist am Start. Die unvermeidlichen Live-Gesangs- und Tanzauftritte 2-3x pro Woche hätten wir nicht gebraucht.

Alles in allem ein toller Urlaub im Marelen - auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung wert.

It‘s a great hotel but it’s at the extension of the airport, so lots of planes overhead. The breakfast and dinner buffet was very good, with gluten-free options. The staff was absolutely wonderful. The only negativ point is the smoking. Nowadays there should be smoke free areas. It was very disgusting to be constantly enveloped in smoke at the pool.

Unterkunft insgesamt gut. Das Zimmer spartanisch praktisch, keine Besonderheit. Die Einrichtung hatte die besten Zeiten hinter sich. Trotzdem gute und tägliche Reinigung. Die Anlage insgesamt gut. Lediglich der laute lärm landender und startender Flugzeuge vom sehr nahen Flughafen haben den morgendlichen Schlaf gestört. Das Personal sehr freundlichen, höflich und hilfsbereit an allen Stellen.

I stayed in the middle of August.
In conclusion, I'm very satisfied with the very nice staff and the very kind service.
The three women at the reception desk were very kind and gave us unreasonable requests and advice. Thanks to them, we were able to rent a car and go to see the nicer scenery. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Also, the facilities are clean, and I think it is a very nice place with a short walk to the beach. Is the shower seawater? I was a little surprised by that, but I was able to adjust the temperature without any problems, and I had a comfortable time.
I had a great time with someone singing at the poolside at night.

Anyway, everything was perfect.
I would definitely like to recommend this hotel.
