This hotel and location was absolutely exceptionally superb from start to finish, I can’t fault it in the slightest. The staff made it extra special with their willingness to help even in the situation of an absence suitcase- which we made sure didn’t spoil our holiday. The attention to detail was amazing, and nothing was too much for the staff to help with. The spa was a lovely experience and the ladies were very friendly and attentive. All in all we enjoyed the resort and would highly recommend it.

Quiet clean hotel

This hotel is nice however it may not be a 5 star but it is a nice 4.5 star for Greece and it is a good value for the price.
I would stay there again when visiting Monemvasia even though it is about 20 minutes drive from the Castle its worth the drive to have bigger rooms and sleep while hearing the waves outside your balcony instead of small rooms in the Castle with limited parking.

Nice stay but definitely not 5-star or relaxing

Overall a very good stay. Starting with the positives special mention to the bar/restaurant/pool staff who were extremely nice and friendly. Great facilities as well and nicely decorated rooms. Unfortunately though there were some negatives. Whilst the hotel took a lot of precautions related to CoVid, all of it went to waste when they allowed non guests to use the facilities. At no point where there any health checks for these people and they were allowed to roam the property at will. On that note, it is simply absurd that whilst paying over €200 per night we had to share the pool and restaurants with non-guests. I could gladly accept this during off peak but this was late July! As a result service was often very slow and the pool area was very crowded so quite the antithesis of the relaxing atmosphere that we were after (and handsomely paid for). Last but not least, they allowed for a large party to take place on a Saturday night. Whilst it did not affect us directly as our room was quite far from the party area, the very next morning we overheard many other guests complaining that they barely got any sleep as the party went on until 1am. Again it would have been fine during off peak but this was a time when the hotel was fully booked and people had paid a lot to get away from it and relax.

Awesome hotel right on a beautiful rockface. Private area, very quiet, and a very classy joint. Check-in was fast and curtious, Friendly staff always smiling and willing to help, clean room and grounds... just a magnificent stay !

Amazing hotel in a quiet part of the Peloponnese. We enjoyed our stay so much and would definitely come back one day. Fabulous! From beginning to end it was all perfect. Beautiful location, friendly staff, beautiful room, great food. Breakfast was spectacular! The spa was lovely and there is a wide selection of services, which we took advantage of, at half the cost of the US. The pool area and pool bar was relaxing and the ocean access was easy for a swim as well. Perfect property! We will return!

With my husband and daughter we spent five days at Alas Resort and had an excellent stay. The hotel and its surrounding area is a fabulous place, very tranquil and the hotel is done up to a very high standard.
The main selling point of the hotel is its location and service. We stayed in a junior suite which had amazing sea views and were especially blown away by the beautiful sunset from the room's private balcony.
The hotel has a private beach with a rocky and a sandy part and we particularly enjoyed snorkeling in the deeper, rocky end. There is a lot to see under water! If you are interested in sea life it is a perfect place to observe that nature and you can make excellent underwater pictures just like my daughter did.
We loved those gazebo-like sun loungers and spent most of the time there. It was closer to the edge of the sea which gave us a nice breeze on a blazing hot summer day (majority of days).
The staff is very friendly and professional and the service is top notch. As this is a small hotel you get a lot of personal attention and excellence in service is put at the heart of all what they do.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay, I would happily recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing holiday, suitable for all including young children too..

Brilliant hotel in a fantastic location. Staff were all very friendly and although the hotel was full it never seemed busy as there are plenty of different areas for people to go. Beach was nice and sandy with clear waters. Food and wine was great and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

Everything about this hotel is lovely! It's a 4 star property but you feel comfortable and pampered. Very pleasant staff makes you feel at home. Very good breakfast with FOJ, yummy grilled vegs, pies etc. Greek coffee is not to be missed. And of course, excellent spa!!! Swimming pool is very clean, with wonderful views and relaxing, low key background music. Would return with pleasure! Thanks for excellent service and efforts!!

We traveled in Greece for two weeks and stayed in many places. Alas was without a doubt the best place we stayed at. The room had a beautiful view of both the sea and the pool with two separate balconies. There were umbrellas and beach chairs on two different beaches that belonged to the hotel. Best of all were the excellent breakfast buffet and their restaurant, The room and the bathroom were extremely clean with a very comfortable bed. The staff were very polite and helpful. We really did not want to leave, but unfortunately we had reservations in Mani peninsula which had been paid and could not be cancelled.

Perfect spa hotel

Everything about Alas Resort was perfect! The room was immaculately clean and comfortable, we loved the huge corner bath. The swimming pool and beach areas were gorgeous, we especially liked the swinging beach beds. The staff were so helpful and made us feel so welcome which made our stay extra special, we even got a free room upgrade. I'd definitely advise you to have a treatment in the spa, my back and head massage was incredible and followed by relaxing in the steam room and jacuzzi. Breakfast was a huge selection of hot and cold food, delicious pastries, fruit, toast, everything you could want. I wish we had booked more than one night and can't wait to visit Alas Resort again next time I'm in Greece.

The perfect choice

The hotels is very well managed. It is far the best hotel in the region. It is a little bit far from the attractions, but it does compensate this with a wonderful location. They have one of these stairs that goes inside the sea. The restaurant is a very good one, with delicious meals. The staff is also outstanding, they are always with a smile. And the view ... the view is something that will be printed on your eyes for a while... I will return for sure.

Nice hotel with a few nits

Overall we are very happy with the hotel and we had an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The staff are very friendly and attending and probably the strongest asset of this hotel. The restaurant, lobby, bar and pool areas are all very nice, right by the sea and ideal for relaxing vacations by the sea. Our room had great sea view, and it was very quiet and clean with an extra large and super comfortable bed. The Wi-Fi was very reliable with strong signal across the hotel. The food, both breakfast and the a la carte menu, were very tasty and I appreciated the fact that the breakfast runs until 10:30.

The biggest downside of the hotel is probably the remote and isolated location, which is 45 - 60 min. driving from any interesting place. Some other nits:
- The room was relatively small for a \"deluxe double\", while it lacked some basic amenities such as coffee maker, kettle or microwave.
- The bath tub had no cabin or curtain to prevent the water from flooding the floor which was very annoying.
- The gym is in the basement instead of putting it overlooking the sea or garden, making it hot and unpleasant for exersize.
- The underground parking is very tight.
- Plastic chairs are a bad and uncomfortable choice for an otherwise fine restaurant.

Hotel was great with respect to the pool and indoor jacuzzi however it's 40mins from Monemvasia fort. The beds are very hard and there is no shower screen so you get water all over the floor and toilet. It's a new modern hotel but sometimes design gets in the way of practicality. Breakfast and staff were excellent.

A beautifully modernly finished resort spa right at the edge of the sea with gorgeous ocean view rooms featuring glorious sunsets. Comfortable rooms with plush beds, very roomy, great shower. Fresh fruit delivered to the room upon arrival was a nice touch. Breakfast buffet was elaborate. Dinner had gourmet flair. Pool located steps away from the sea...although at the time we were there the sea had ejected a lot of sea grass onto the shore...once we got past that, swimming was great! Spa with Hamam, sauna and whirlpool has great relaxation ambience and the massages were great! The resort is located in a very remote area with little to nothing around...perfect for unwinding...

Glorious Peloponnese sunsets

Beautiful surroundings on the rugged Peloponnesian coastline. Quite remote with not very much within walking distance, but within an hour's drive from sparti, monemvasia and beautiful beaches near elafonisos.

The room was excellent, spotless and comfortable, with breathtaking sea views and sunsets. If I was being really fussy, some better pillows would've been nice though.

The staff are all really friendly and helpful, and we were recommended a trip to a beautiful olive grove/museum nearby called Liotrivi.

The food was good, although in our visit (end of September) there was a slight sense that it was winding down for the off season; on our last day we had a slightly disappointing seafood pasta with rather shriveled looking mussels. The rest of the food was delicious though, with wonderful service and a delicious selection of Greek wine.

Best holiday ever

This was the most wonderful holiday ever. The hotel was amazing - lovely pool right on the sea with a beach and also a jetty into deeper water. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, it was like being part of a Greek family. We got upgraded to an amazing suite, the food was great, some nights we had totally fresh fish, and also lots of salads with delicious local wine. The Spa had lots of wonderful treatments and all so reasonable.

We relaxed by the pool, which was clean. The food in the restaurant was marvelous. The hotel is a bit hard to find, but once you get there, it's wonderful.

The resort is a great place to relax for adults. There were a couple of things wrong in the room, but they were fixed quickly. They also gave us a free spa treatment because of this. The only complaint I have it that the outside areas are not kept as clean and neat as they should be. Still, I would come again.

Wonderfull peacefull comfortable hotel

We arrived to thé hotel after a long and astonishing drive through the Mani (Peloponessus ) mountains. Very warm welcoming staff and superb rooms, with the sea at your feeth and a little quiet beach.

Superb swimming pool and relaxing long chairs.
Only problem is the distance to Monemvasia for the dinner. 45 min drive.

Our room was really tiny. We couldn't even open our suitcase in the room! I honestly expect bigger rooms when I book a 5 star hotel. Overall everything was very clean.
The room was poorly soundproofed. We could hear our neighbors having fun at night and the receptionists talking. In the lobby was a cigarette smell, so I suppose, that the staff has been smoking inside.
The gym was in a terrible condition.
We really liked the pool area and the beach.
The breakfast, that was offered, was pretty good (some things were pretty cold when we arrived at 10am)

Sehr schönes Resort, mit gutem Frühstück. Das Abendessen wird serviert und schmeckt ausgezeichnete. Zimmer sind leider etwas nüchtern eingerichteten und dunkel. Dusche hat keinen Tür somit wird beim Duschen das ganze Bad nass.

hôtel ou tout est fait pour vous rendre la vie parfaite et reposante
le bémol c'est que l'on est loin de tout et de ce fait un peu isolé donc une voiture est indispensable
dans l'ensemble pour se ressourcer cet hôtel est l'idéal par contre loin des sites de visite il faut le savoir
globalement nous sommes extrêmement satisfait de notre séjour

Excellent hotel, with all required service and amenities. Suffient space to relax (pool, beach, large garden in fron of sea). We had half board service, and the menu choice for dinner is excellent. Quiet neighbourhood, not really so much to do in the close neighbourhood. Monemvasia and Githeo are ~40 minutes drive away. Aside from some noise in the room coming from the restaurant music or bar music (why do they need to play music, and so loud) and the humming of the airco unit on the roof just above our room, all was perfect.

Ein rundherum fantastisches Hotel - von den schönen Zimmern zum netten Personal, dem tollen Frühstück und dem super Restaurant passt hier absolut alles. Gerade die Liege- und Bademöglichkeiten sind grandios -es gibt drei verschiedene Meereszugänge,von denen einer schöner ist als der andere. Die Lage des hotels ist auch genial um Ausflüge zu machen nach monemvasia oder elafonisos. Der Strand ist ok. Gibt schöneres aber wenn man Ausflüge macht super um dort zu verweilen.
