This property was in a good location, just next to the train station and walking distance to some shops and cafes. I did all to the mall as well. The staff were very friendly and even helped me to call a salon to make an appointment. The bar tenders and servers were all amazing as well. The breakfast, while abundant was not great. The aircon in the room didn’t work. I did not complain but if it was ANY warmer it would have been a massive issue. All in id stay again.

Below average but okay for a place to sleep

Average stay with some disappointing elements. The rooms were not reflective of the pictures on Hotels.com and were much older and tireder. Hotel is very dark and dingy, with old stained carpets. The breakfast was very disappointing - orange cordial rather than fresh orange juice for example and poor quality options. The hotel didn't have a clothes iron when I asked about one which is unusual in a 4 star hotel. There was a bar and restaurant in the hotel but they were eerily quiet.
Overall the stay was fine, we just needed a place to sleep and were not on holiday, however the price compared to other options in Rabat and what they offer is very high and I wouldn't recommend staying here unless like us you were looking last minute and it was the only option available.
The hotel could benefit from some renovations and a better breakfast offering.

Previously raved about this hotel so came back. Even though we paid more this time round the room we was given was more poorer, smaller and dated.

The restaurant is bit more expensive as expected but when ordered a ‘3 cheese sandwich’ it only came with cheese spread and egg. When complained the waiter said he wanted to give another cheese but expected it would be too smelly for us. So was a 1 cheese spread sandwich. It was just laughed off by the waiter which really annoyed us. For the price you expect to pay what is offered.

Front desk check-in & welcome attendants were amazing! The customer service was outstanding. Everyone was professional and more than willing to help or accommodate our requests as we were scheduled for a Morocco tour that was cancelled due to the September 8th earthquake damage. The location is convenient for walking to the train station, market, restaurants, etc. Rooms were spacious & clean.

I'm sure the place was nice some decades ago, but now it's rundown, the carpet stinks, I didn't shower because I couldn't get any hotter water than barely lukewarm. There was hair in the bed, dried water on the faucets, bathroom door was crusted in grime, no power outlet easily accessible and so on. Bottomline, it's dated and outdated.

3 negative things made me change hotels.

Overall it was ok, but 3 things made me change hotels. Poor wifi, inadequate air-conditioning and uncomfortable bed. With the a/c running on high all night long, the coolest it got was 24.5. In the daytime it approached 26. One side of the bed was compacted and hard. But when you moved to the other side, there was a slope down to the compacted side.

Hotel Rooms Could use a little cosmetic uplift.

upon check in, Walid greeted us with a nice smile and welcomed us to the hotel. Few minutes after our check in, we heard a knock on the door and it was a gentleman that works for the hotel asking for my identification card. I gave it to him, but was kind of perplexed as he was not wearing a name tag, nor a shirt showing the hotel emblem! So, I followed him downstairs to ensure that my identification card was in safe guard. Walid, then explained that the system wiped out my information, hence him needing my card back! In the future, suggest having all the staff wear a name tag to instill sense of comfort and security for hotel guests. Also, I had an issue with room cleanliness. There hair on the bathroom floor and dust on certain surfaces. Moreover, bathroom linen seem to be extremely worn out. They have run their course and I think, it is time to invest in new bathroom linen. Also, the bathroom sink drain was very slow in getting water through. Breakfast was okay!

It was my second time staying at this hotel. The hotel was nice and in a good location. We stayed there two people for two nights in one room. The staff. I paid online for the stay before we arrived. City tax is 13.2 Dirham per person per night, but the staff took 160 Dirham claiming it was the tax amount.

OK but needs improvements

Pros: friendly staff and helpful, good service, near train station, walking distance to restaurants and shops.

Cons: rooms need updating as looks rather worn. Air conditioning was not functional in first room but they changed me to another room. Second room was better but still wouldn’t cool properly so we couldn’t sleep well. Couldn’t open the window due to noisy street. Internet was not reliable. Zero internet in first room and intermittent in the second.

Unpleasant Stay - Two Thumbs Down

Not a good stay. The place was very small and noisy. Street noise at night and the maintenance/service staff early in the morning are very loud. The manager is never available but that seems like an ongoing issue judging by the other reviews. The staff wants to be helpful but they can't. The restroom had a weird sweaty odor, probably from the overused curtains. Seems like they have been wanting to \"fix\" things for a while now. Actions speak louder than responses to comments!

Extremely professional staff. The room is nice but not super contemporary. I found the recessed lights to be insufficient as the room felt dark. I asked for a quiet room which was at the end of the hallway. That was fine but the room faces a side street with loitering men who could at times be heard from the room. No invoice was provided for the city tax, which I thought was strange. Plus, the maid took one of the sodas in the minibar. For the price of about $100 per night it could have been better relative to hotels in Europe.

When I arrived to the Hotel, the staff told me they are relocating me to another hotel, not as convenient location-wise but \"5 stars\". I learned that another 3 people were also relocated. No notice to us was given and we couldnt get a print out of our bill from the new hotel since Belere paid for 4 unrelated people together. What a hassle!

We wondered if the room had been vacuumed and there were no towels in the room. We had to call down for them. The A/C didn’t work and the location was noisy. Overall it seems as poor materials were used to build the whole place. While the people were nice they didn’t jump to respond to requests.

Spent 11 days and will come back again. But beware of their exchange rate if using your visa/master card - your card is not charged in Dirhams, the local currency, thereby inflating the card charges. There were, of course, the odd situations where leftover foods were recycled and used for the next days. Otherwise, Its a nice hotel to stay

After much research of all the hotels in the area, we were very pleased with our choice of the Belere. Keep in mind its in the downtown area and can get loud.Met all our expectations, centrally located, within walking distance of all the local sites, the palacde, medina, lighthouse, Mohamed V Blvd., those that are out of walking distance are a cheap, frightening taxi ride away.
Breakfast buffet is free and plentiful. Free mini bar with water and soft drinks. Nice area on the roof to sit and chill with an adult beverage.
Got a few meals in the restaurant and enjoyed them, the bar is very reasonablly priced. ENTIRE STAFF VERY accommodating and friendly, they made our experience in Rabat very memorable, went out of their way to provide great service. Would stay there again if the occasion warrants.

No clock in the room, thought that was odd.

Overall, the staff was helpful and the cleaning staff was excellent.
The staff was unable to provide help when it came to contacting the driving service I arranged through the hotel. I asked several staff members when my driver would take me to the airport on my day of departure. No one knew or checked into it for me. I ended up missing my flight.

Convenient stay in central Rabbat

Exactly what was needed for a quick short stay while passing through Rabbat that is easily accessible by car with parking available on the street right in front of the hotel. (If not convenient to find a riad in a medina or not staying very long) Facilities were clean and staff were friendly.
The rooms are very standard.

A really nice hotel. I loved the terrace and the deep soaking bathtub. Staff were all nice and ready to help. The only thing not making it a 5 star for me was our air conditioner didn’t work (they offered to have maintenance come fix it but it was an inconvenient time for them to come), and there was no information about the hotel in the room. Expedia says they have a cafe, two restaurants, room service, etc but I couldn’t find all of them or know anything about hotel services offered, nor did I know how to use the phone to call the front desk or get an outside line. The safe was nice in the room. There are plenty of places to walk to or easily get a taxi. I do recommend it, but beware parking is a little tough during the day since it seems to be a working area. But after working hours are over there is plenty of parking.

Belere hotel is very close to Rabat Ville train station. It is close to many restautrants and cafes. It is also walking distance to Medina, Chella, Kasbah. The staff are really nice and helpful. The breakfast was okay. There is something to everyone. It is a simple hotel, nothing fancy, but it is a really good value given its price and location. They were painting the rooms on our last day there.
